  1. When did Buzz on the roof air? I'm tempted to watch.
  2. "After all, Trevor, I'm crazy -- not boring."
  3. I could be wrong, @DRW50, but I think Barry just means the challenge of playing two roles.
  4. Yeah, the song choices are rather on the nose. Still, I've now pretty much seen everything I've ever wanted from Loving.
  5. Nikki looks like she's giving serious side eye in the first plate, then she's about to go cross-eyed in the second one. I'm more disturbed by Rex in the Katherine plate. Sadly, the Brad plate, with a center image of him standing in a pair of ribbed Fruit of the Loom whites, was rejected.
  6. Holy cow, something I've always wanted to see, courtesy of Callan White (and @GymnastGuy, of course): Mike & Ann in Washington, D.C.
  7. Another exciting upload from Mitch, Leslie Denniston Hastings' time as a temporary Gwyneth. The first 7:30 of the upload comes from Thursday, Oct. 13, 1988.
  8. Yeah, that's true. It's not like some firm's going to suddenly think, "You know, let's publish that."
  9. I'm perversely curious if anyone, interviewer, audience member at the stage door, or hell, Joy Behar herself, will dare bring this up to Susan.
  10. I've made it up to "Where There's a Will..." Miss Ellie's latest round of undermining Sue Ellen as a mother and/or independent woman (by cajoling her for the umpteenth time to let John Ross stay at Southfork) makes me wish someone dared to call the old bird out for accepting Lucy being stolen from Val. To the best of my knowledge, Ellie never paid for that one (and no, buying Gary & Val a house doesn't count).
  11. Sure, why not? Please write "Dates verified by fossefan."
  12. 0:00 to 6:38 is Wednesday, April 23, 1986. That night, CBS reran The Seduction of Gina, the movie teased during the first set of Capitol end credits. 6:39 to 31:10 is Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1986, per the promo for the next day's coverage of the All-American Thanksgiving Parade. 31:10 to 33:50 is a possible rerun of the Dec. 3, 1986, episode of Oprah with Burt Reynolds, with a cameo from a commerical for The Hanoi Hilton, released March 27, 1987. --- And now I'm just showing off. 33:50 to close is Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1987, per the promo for that night's broadcast of The Man With Two Brains.
  13. And on the golden anniversary of Ryan's Hope's debut!
  14. Shoot, even the ghost of Bobby Martin got in on that action.
  15. Megan mentioning Kim Zimmer's I'm Just Sayin' as a book similar to hers makes me wonder if she was hoping Kim would give a dust jacket endorsement.
  16. Tiffany was the other prominent poison victim.
  17. Seeing those Fusion clips just makes me want to throw several buckets of dirty mop water.
  18. Two very quick digressions ... 1. I'm hoping to soon write a book about my former job (nine years as a reporter in southwest North Dakota), and have been waffling between a memoir or roman à clef. MMT kinda makes me want to go the burn-it-all-down, nuke-the-bridges route. 2. Can someone please pass the brain bleach so I can forget how Susan Keith is mentioned there?
  19. This might be more appropriate for the general retro thread, but I think it can't be overstated: executives, producers and/or writers who wouldn't let daytime be daytime and felt the need to chase after primetime, and then cable, did way too much damage to the soaps. I'm a fan of Robin's Janet, so I might have enjoyed seeing that Risa storyline play out.
  20. Here you go, @Vee https://lovingsoapopera.wordpress.com/2023/02/10/character-profile-jonathan-matalaine/ Oh, and thank you, @DRW50, for the tag. I'll have to find some time to watch the video.
  21. I always forget how much longer Rafe is around. When did Bo switch from the Banner to the Llanview police?
  22. Our beloved benefactor strikes again, this time with a late July 1984 episode. I'm certain it's from the week of July 23-27, and believe it might be from Friday, July 27 (notice David Hartman plugging next week's episodes of Good Morning America, as opposed to the next day's).
  23. And I call myself a theater fan. I didn't know that, either. I just knew McKenna played one of Kevin Kline's students in In & Out. Why not, indeed. The idea of Joey being bi and compassionate (maybe a local counselor, or involved with a LGBTQIA+ group that's also religious) might be "boring" to hack soap writers, but it's slice of life storytelling.
  24. Oh, how I wish OLTL made Joey daytime's first gaymer.
  25. Hot take? Patrick Duffy is the MVP of the 1981-82 season. Compromised Bobby is a hell of a lot more interesting than white knight Bobby.
