We can 'coexist' with people we crush politically. These people have always been there. It's how you handle them and what you let them take from you, and you can't let them take your heart. What matters now is winning and doing the work.

I met Louis Edmonds not long before his death at my one and only DS convention in the 90s; I was super into it when I was a kid. tbh the several different ex-GOP strategists (and Carville!) who are commenting on podcasts, interviews, etc. baffled by the bedwetting on the Dem side over current numbers are right. I've been saying this for over a decade, well before '16. Too many people on our side handwring and cry when we're about to kill them. You have to take it to them and be proud of it, be happy about it. The only thing these people or the media respect is a killer instinct. Dems spend far too much time feverishly seeking the worst outlier results in order to concoct nightmare narratives. Look at the actual spread and rejoice. Of course, it's okay to be nervous, it's okay to be traumatized by what happened, we all are. But when you have a lead you celebrate it, you use it, you don't hide from it for fear of what happens if it goes away. This is a fundamental flaw in elements of the party and the left that we have to breed out.
