  1. I think they had chemistry but the story was never there. Ron simply wrote it as a transparent obstacle pairing for plot purposes and did nothing to deepen it.
  2. Before they foisted Franco on Liz and her kids, Jake was very close with Miller's Jason.
  3. I've only seen the clips on Twitter thus far but this latest one is definitely a teenager. It's still crazy to me how old he and Rocco are.
  4. I would never call Jason a great or present parent (despite the brief whitewash job they attempted on him with Jake, where Hudson West's Jake had a deep bond with Billy Miller's Drew-as-Jason). But the shadow of Jason Morgan does loom very large over PC. The kid could easily have picked up on the local legend. Me, I would chalk it up to being about that and about the aspects of Sam herself that she's not necessarily coming to terms with.
  5. She often has been. I will give Sam credit for a few things; after Jason 'died' not long after Danny was born, Sam made a concerted effort to clean up her life and get away from the action junkie bullshít she and Jason had lived for for years (this was another reason it boggled my mind when Guza and co. or Wolf or whoever first decided it was time to finally reward the Jasam fans with a baby; the couple had literally never prioritized a safe home and family). She told everyone she was putting it behind her for her son, she got with less dangerous men like Silas and Patrick and became much more grounded as a civilian for a long stretch. It was when Jason (well, Drew and then Jason) came back that she went back to diving into trouble again more. It's a recurring addiction. But she has grown a lot, she's just often backslid as well. But the writing is correct to a point here. Jason was devoted to the life and had zero interest in leaving it behind. He lived for the business and for that action. So elements of that desire can easily be present in their son.
  6. Story with organic repercussions from the past? Sacrebleu!
  7. Thanks. Pretty typical, yeah. I'm still keeping a keen ear out on current scripts for this reason. This was another reason I called foul during the strike when Tracy acted like she had no idea who Blair or the Cramers were. Tracy does her homework in business and would've known of Dorian Lord and her brood (let alone Viki) long ago, but she also would've checked up on Marco's past when she went into cahoots with him lo those many years ago. She also tracked Rae and Skye back from Port Charles through to Llanview, Pine Valley and all points elsewhere when she took them down in the 2000s. But I'm just nitpicking. I do wish we'd gotten more of Marco on GH. But that was part of the period where I think Riche was just throwing anything at the wall to see what could hit and succeed (Jagger/Karen, Brenda, Mac and Felicia, Ryan, Scott and Dominique, etc.) post-Monty and pre-Labine.
  8. TV Line has a pic of Eva on GH up. FWIW they claim PM's work doesn't air til mid-late March, but they may be piggybacking off prior reports.
  9. As a more meta topic removed from the post baiting that is as ancient as the days of J*nnysbro, I think we're sadly far off from the times when you could do substantial crossovers without alienating the GH audience. I enjoyed them when they occasionally happened in the '90s because there was generally a purpose, but Linda Dano's tour of the network changed things dramatically. Rae was unbearable, and Skye touring the daypart wasn't much better. And Frank has made the concept radioactive in a new way by spending over a decade pushing the OLTL 3 down the audience's throats. At some time far, far removed from now, could I see characters from OLTL or whatever appearing briefly or as part of a storyline? Sure. I don't think it was a terrible idea to have Blair and her jewelry/cosmetics company clash with Lucy for a few days, but that isn't quite what happened; the plot point with Martin went absolutely nowhere as far as I can tell and Blair and Lucy never even met. And I know how I'd use, say, Viki for a day or two as part of a bigger storyline, in her role as a journalist and nothing else. But that's about it. And again, you can't go there or consider anything like that for years thanks to what Frank has done. Someone like Jackson Montgomery or Nora appearing as a lawyer occasionally, maybe, but that's far as I take it. Beyond that, the rule for past soap stars coming onto a new show should be the same as always: Get your own role. Fortunately Eva LaRue has. And frankly both Maria and her children were out of story before they left AMC.
  10. Then how can you judge? Girl, they just want engagement.
  11. Generally I do too. But the creative change gives me pause.
  12. I think it's goofy too. She's a nice enough young woman in her role in the very silly and retro '80s (yet topical, yet very poorly done) "Chase goes undercover off the clock as a rocker because we like Josh Swickard singing to try and nail Brook Lynn's scummy old producer" storyline that brought her on, but I knew a little of her would go a long way for me. Still, I'm giving this a chance as I enumerated in the GH thread.
  13. Again, I see zero reason to bring on Maria or her kids to GH, let alone more crossovers in major roles when the GH audience is sick of them.
  14. Oh, constantly. But I think back to Mulcahey's stuff with the Avants on B&B and wonder if this is of a piece with that, and then only a family character who is tertiary vs. another needless name player. But I may be projecting wildly, we'll see. I agree Kristina and Blaze do not seem ready for primetime to me.
  15. I'm gonna give it a shot because I've seen some of Mulcahey (if this is him, we dunno yet) doing LGBT stories like this before with key family member. I love Eva and if this is PM I doubt it's just another name brought in for star value to fill more space on canvas. We also dunno if she's contract. And I say that as someone who finds everything with Kristina and Blaze lukewarm at best thus far. But we'll see how it goes. (We also dunno if they're culling the cast, which they desperately need to do.)
  16. I'd argue it benefits Democrats, judging by the last few years. And again, it's gonna be a long 8 months.
  17. Leo is adorable. The rest are anonymous to me except Liz's kids, and while Aiden may be family I don't think that boy can act. Maxie should never have had one child so soon let alone fuckin' three so I don't acknowledge James, spawn of the plastic one. There are too many goddamn kids all over this show and most need to go away for a long time. Especially Violet and Charlotte, the hellspawn.
  18. I just don't see any need to indulge Frank's longtime fetish for creating an ABC "super soap" anymore. A few crossovers were fine 10+ years ago but it went way too far some time ago. Let past ABC stars come on this show in new roles suited to this show's canvas, as was custom for decades. Keep crossover characters to a minimum. Angie Hubbard or David Hayward I'd make a rare (and brief) exception for given their occupation and history with certain folks, but Maria or her kids? I loved Maria but I don't care. Crossovers should be few and far between, and most actors should come on for GH roles on GH.
  19. Didn't she and Wally divorce around then? There's your answer.
  20. In fairness, they had to contrive a swift exit for her somehow.
  21. Grain of salt, but:
  22. Mulcahey's first hire? I wonder.
  23. Honestly moving to streaming would be better for the show's longevity (and creative reboot) IMO. It's the only future soaps have for my money.
  24. Oh God, I hadn't even really looked at that pic. Gross.
