  1. You can tell how pissed the Beltway is when Nate Cohn sniffs (inaccurately) that Harris is performing as well as 'any generic Democrat' would against Trump. Fox also had Trump up by 1 yesterday.
  2. Eh, a fluke. I try not to remember that storyline.
  3. No, lol. I forgot that too. I can't remember Sam ever having a second of tolerance for Ava. And yes, Nina was the (adopted) sister of the varnished wood effigy known as Nathan West - his bio-mom was Obrecht, Donna Mills' sister. Stafford's Nina used to constantly call him "Jay" (his first name was James) and fawn over him which drove me nuts. I had a very strong suspicion in 2014-15 that RC had actually intended for both to be stealth Cassadines given the connection he created between Obrecht and Thaao Penghlis' Victor Cassadine, and have Nina and wooden Nathan end up hanging out at Wyndemere and mixing it up with Nikolas and co. Small favors that didn't happen. But anyway I never cared about Nina and Nathan's bond, their family, etc. I do buy Nina caring for Maxie even more since Nathan's death, though.
  4. The Trump ground game and turnout:
  5. Yeah, I don't care about them. I haven't cared in many years. T.J. in particular has been little more than a cipher since Tequan Richmond left. I won't notice if they leave tomorrow.
  6. That is not how it is looking right now.
  7. GH hasn't cared about them in years. This storyline is the most exposure or POV either of them have gotten in forever but they still don't really care IMO and neither do I. Just write them out and bring Molly back at some later date.
  8. Season 7 of MP (which was masterminded by peak years Knots showrunner Peter Dunne) has an uncanny similarity to Season 4 of Knots, which is also when Dunne took over there and made the show a hit. You'll know the prime factor when you see it.
  9. A stone cold legend. If you've never seen her in John Cassavetes' A Woman Under the Influence or Opening Night, do it immediately.
  10. Exactly. They have almost always been an afterthought.
  11. Feels very much like FV using the Kish playbook to blame the ratings on the gays and deflect from the much more prominent issues within the show, starting with Natalia. At least with Kish on OLTL it was a massive storyline and they probably did take a hit in the demos somewhat because of it 15 years ago (not that that excuses how he disposed of them). Here the lesbians feel like a scapegoat for much bigger systemic issues - which OLTL also had a lot of at the time. I still have absolutely no idea why Brennan and Valentin are free and how Brennan is off the hook re: Pikeman. Was he undercover or was he actually the bad guy lol?
  12. I don't care about losing Blaze. But I do think it is pretty disgusting that Natalia is not out with her. This story has sent a horrible message.
  13. The gay storyline on GH was B/C material at best in that era, and in those years Frank and Ron were still riding high and fairly untouchable. Brad in particular started as a bit player in that story, he was not a more prominent character til later.
  14. That was my suspicion as well. And yes, I'm worried about ME lol. But I suspect ABC may have put the foot down on the OLTL 2.
  15. I'd love to believe that, and I think in normal conditions it'd be true. But this is Frank and over half the show is faded soap names and personal faves he refuses to cut.
  16. All true. Yet he prefers his own boring stable.
  17. They all gotta bend the knee and hope Frank will call them back. I do think it's strange if she didn't mention Mansi.
  18. Kristina and Blaze is not Kish, lol. Let's just be clear. Both actors on OLTL were very talented, the couple was very popular, whereas Lopez was a dayplayer who got a come-up and had good and bad days. And Kish dominated a huge portion of OLTL for 2009-early 2010 and gave us the first gay love scene on daytime. I think it's awful that Frank has once again shivved the gays, but these stories and couples were not created equal.
  19. Essentially similar to the Politico piece but they both say the same things. I do hope the relationship between the two recovers. I suspect it will eventually since Joe is already saying she did what she had to do. I may not be happy about how any of it happened, but that Times article is right: Pelosi is a heatseeker. She has no calculus but winning.
  20. Good to have confirmed.
  21. It does make me wonder if FV is doing the same dance as in 2010 - blaming his record lows on the LGBT storyline, which tbh is far less bold in its storytelling or all-consuming on the canvas than the Kish saga on OLTL (which I fully supported in its boldness! I even liked the Dorian gay marriage scam and the mass gay weddings). I won't miss Blaze and I am eager for a better love interest for Kristina, but I won't be shocked if this leads to her being paired with a man again or vanishing onto the backburner now that FV has other toys to play with. And most of all, Natalia must die.
