  1. I don't think Jason/Carly is going to happen tbh. I think they've feinted at it and toyed with it (and the exiting team wrote the hell out of a few scenes for them, particularly when he moved back above Bobbie's again and told her about his tattoo) but it's never been popular with the audience with LW in the role and they don't have romantic chemistry. Which is why it keeps dragging out. I don't think they have any idea what to do with either of them romantically atm - I think EK/FV, etc. just know it won't be Liz or Sam or whoever else. I do suspect the old stories about Korte not caring for Elizabeth or for Jason's non-Carly/mob relations are true. I also think everyone still at the show is looking for a way to keep Valentin, sadly.
  2. I think they were doing a fair bit with both sons under the recent regime until the Jason/Pikeman story totally stalled (they then had Jake and his teen buddies try to get beer at the local bar and have Jake bust Finn to Elizabeth for being out drinking with a random floozy), but this would indicate a change if Jake does go overseas for awhile. I think part of the idea under Mulcahey, etc. was to build a contrast and possibly rivalry between the sons/half-brothers, a la Jason and A.J.
  3. That would be very stupid, as he's the best young actor in his age range on the show and was outacting half the cast even as a child. They'd also been giving him more both over the last year/during the strike and during PM's run, but PM is now gone. Hudson West does book outside work - it frankly surprised me he hadn't left by now, and they should lock him into a contract - so I fear it's just the show/Korte not having any interest in any of Jason's children that isn't Danny, particularly one with Elizabeth. Still, it ain't over til it's over and he could always return from however long this possible exit may be.
  4. That hellspawn should be shut away forever.
  5. It screams undoing PM's storylines and putting it out to pasture to me.
  6. I knew they would likely undo a lot with Mulcahey quitting, I just didn't know it would be quite this fast lol. Pathetic and cowardly.
  7. LOL. Looks like Korte wants PM's story over with. I was expecting it.
  8. I've been catching up as well. I think the promising stories and elements are fading fast and I'll be dipping out soon (til Jonathan Jackson shows up), but I am glad Willow/Drew/Nina is still a thing for now. Sasha will never be a compelling option for me for Michael though, and frankly they need to write him out for a few years and recast. I do think there was something there with Cody and Tracy under PM - both early on when she began using the stables more and more, and then when she actively compared him to a young Gregory. I can't see the network or FV going for it these days though.
  9. The iconic James B. Sikking, best known for Hill Street Blues, Doogie Howser, etc. but also a GH alum (he played Audrey's husband Dr. Jim Hobart), has died after a battle with dementia: I knew him best from his cameo in The Search for Spock. What a persona.
  10. Two things can be true. One: Trump believes the entire world is beholden to him and is ultimately just entertainment and a big TV show, and that nobody is any less out for themselves and craven for the spotlight than he is. And two: Trump knows doing what he did on the national stage is a boon to his campaign. So ultimately both Errol and marceline are right on a certain level, IMO. I do believe Trump is cognitively impaired. But I think this all weaves together into the same things you're both talking about.
  11. I thought his appearance in 2013 was strange and off-putting at the time tbh but I am glad they had him back. He was such a life force. When this story started in March I was among the few open to the idea of Heather being softened and made into sort of a kooky talk-to for Laura, a la Alley Mills' role on B&B. (And I agree Mills' early turns as Heather were spookier and less OTT than her more recent stuff pre-hip.) I thought it might be an interesting use of the Webber family history and a surprising and unconventional turn for what had become a one-note psycho, though it was always controversial. But now it's all Laura does, it's incredibly unpopular with the audience and Trina can't buy airtime. Just send Heather off to rehab her life somewhere else, I'm done with it. The fact that Mills apparently cites Chris Van Etten as co-HW again in her new interview about the storyline and working with him on it also has not gone unnoticed by me.
  12. @Errol please merge these posts into the Memoriam thread.
  13. Very sad but more surprising than it should be to me - I honestly thought at this point Shannen was too tough to die. A TV legend. What a year. What a series of years.
  14. I'm not going to make any assumptions about promotion or lack thereof so soon. They're still staffing up.
  15. They mean the TV show The Gates from 2010.
  16. When was this? I saw some of the nutty stuff with Renee.
  17. I know, I was just commenting on the parallel.
  18. 1. Why not look yourself? 2. Why would a YouTube compilation video be in the vault?
  19. Gottlieb and co. certainly leaned into making Asa harder again, but Phil gave it his all. He was often electric. I know Mark Brettschneider (Jason Webb), who Gottlieb handpicked, turns up around August or just before so that's her work. I believe Christopher Cousins was a character Gottlieb and Malone retconned from his Rauch, etc. origins as Hudson King/Heinrich Kaiser/etc. so they could keep him as Cain Rogan, but I may be off. I hope we can all be discreet while discussing this material online.
  20. I think Gary and Abby absolutely loved each other from at least somewhere in Season 5-onward, but bear in mind I just started Season 7 lol. I think Gary really came into his own as a man around S5, though he was growing already in S4 despite his bender. I think a lot of Season 6 is the ideal and apex of their relationship, because there are no illusions there between either of them. It could've run longer, but frankly (as a new viewer) I think it is remarkable they managed to keep Gary and Val apart for at least another what, 3-5 seasons after S7 and the babies. That takes amazing restraint, and I'm sure a number of stories of varying quality.
  21. She has always had a hysterical sense of humor about Alison and the show, both when she was on it and even moreso after she went 'respectable' and got more prestigious shows like Ally McBeal, etc. Not a lot of TV stars like her would. She took her famous talk show appearance with Norm McDonald on Conan O'Brien (right after leaving MP) in good stride too. I just love her.
  22. I love CTS, I always have and I hate to be one of those people but I worry she's too thin. They're all still beautiful though. Like Marcia Cross, Laura has barely aged in the last 20 years. If she was willing I would try to get her to do a daytime stint.
