  1. More tributes for Lynch: Scorsese: Nicolas Cage:
  2. Erasing Willow and Drew from the show overnight is a perfect way to get rid of any actual interesting storyline left on this show. I may not like them as people but it's the only thing currently going for GH plot-wise. It's messy and reasonably entertaining soap. The same would go for a Who Shot/Killed Drew murder plot, it works.
  3. Katelyn MacMullen is doing very good work these last few weeks. All these late in the day deconstructions of Willow's character they've done recently in various scenes are very much trying to rebuild things after their rushed and half-assed execution of this storyline, but at the same time the motives and explanations do make sense. I just wish the dialogue was as smart as it was last spring. It does remind me a lot of what happened to Barbara Ryan on ATWT when Doug Marland came aboard - she went from put-upon heroine to bad news virtually overnight. Willow isn't quite there yet but she is being portrayed as the clueless naif in the clutches of the heavy, and when push comes to shove she often veers towards breaking bad. The setup is Right There for them to do this, same as Barbara did - Willow finds out Drew slept with her mother and she gave everything up for nothing, then turns full vindictive bitch on everyone. It can work. And should be done. She should do what Barbara did, too - seduce Chase again because she can, to fúck with the Qs. It would also be an easy way to get boring Chase off the show. Jane and Laura did very good work together today as well. I would force Carly and Tracy into business together somehow for that reason. We could watch them clash 2-3 times a week. Should Nina make Gio her boytoy? I'm just asking questions! Watros would be very funny with him, but Ava once again falling for a barely legal twunk and two-timing Ric with him would be equally so. Cody with Nina would also work.
  4. I lived in one very much like it in Brooklyn for years, lol. It is either the same from the '90s or very similar.
  5. I feel relatively confident that was at least the case with Leo - that it was for real. I know pix leaked of him like, hanging at ConFusion or something. Whatever happened with Esta and Alexa Havins was strange. They were heavily promoted and then appeared onscreen for maybe 60 seconds tops. I do wonder there, especially re: Ryan and Gillian.
  6. Idk about the interior, but the last time I remember the exterior was 2003-04 or whenever Robin Mattson's Heather first returned. She poisoned Lesley or something to become Lulu's new nanny. They were outside on the steps. It might have appeared after that but I have my doubts. ETA: Same scenes, I think! Good old GH Wiki.
  7. Do not get me and @Darn started on that broke-ass riff on Sonny's penthouse and his new love for officecore design. We've been cracking up about it for over a year. I don't even care though, I love that he was reduced to this and Laura has the real space these days. The two halves of the statue bust look like Sonny (or a stagehand) just dropped them and put them up on separate podiums. I would contribute to a damn gofundme if they would restore the Brownstone to a vague semblance of its original design, including the original exterior. If they can afford those Prague sets and shít and setting a dude on fire they can redo that.
  8. I actually don't think the younger cast is lackluster. There's talent there. I think they're just poorly used. Tabyana is talented and currently being given nothing now that they don't have to answer to the Sprina fanbase. Giovanni Mazza is cute and fun despite weak scripts, has an impressive body but stays inexplicably dressed at all times, and has little to do while being set up for a needless storyline that will over-age his 'parents' and not add to his character's thin personality. (Unless Gio crashes out with money and drugs after discovering he's a Q, which could work.) The new girl playing Emma is clearly strong IMO, but why should we care about her and Gio being insta-paired up? Even Eden is solid and strong in certain areas and her stories are just not good. Kai is a cipher to me, and overall they're either not hiring strong new actors or making fleshed out new characters to pair with their existing people. Which leaves talented people like Mazza or whoever else adrift.
  9. In North Bend (location shoot home of Twin Peaks):
  10. Me neither. But if you really want to go nuts, try processing Liz and her boys supposedly living in 'the Brownstone' and squaring that set with the longtime one and its exterior.
  11. Gary Levine talks the TP backstory at ABC and onward. Patricia Arquette My friend and brother, my creative partner in crime for nearly forty years, a singular artist and astonishing personality. I loved him, and I will hold our laughter and shared love for the medium he mastered as few have ever done forever in my heart and soul,” said Frost in a statement to Deadline. Many, many more including a wonderful statement from longtime TP director Lesli Linka Glatter.
  12. @DRW50 I'm sure there will be more, but these are a few. This is what I suspected, but it is awful:
  13. Greystone looks like a BB&B even worse than the Qs. It's equally bad.
  14. I would be fine with a lot of it if they just changed the color scheme to something warmer and more similar to the old days. It's not the gun-metal gray of the 2010s but it's pretty sterile. The parlor/sitting room/whatever from the pat should also be used again much more.
  15. Yeah, Erika also disliked him. I imagine the feeling was fairly universal based on the stories.
  16. I agree. He was Erica's stand-by.
  17. I always preferred Dimitri, but I didn't have a problem with Jack and Erica marrying for good in the early 2000s. It seemed like the right thing and the right time for them. Unfortunately then they kept breaking up over and over and I got tired of it. And I love Walt Willey, it wasn't his fault (and I wouldn't even necessarily blame his other bad pairings on him).
  18. I believe his daughter Jennifer said he'd been moved or evacuated as recently as the last few days due to the fires. He was housebound due to his emphysema. I blame the fire in part, frankly. Which he might find appropriate, but he'd also say (and did say) nothing ever dies. Very hard.
  19. He'll never really be gone. Laura Palmer taught me that. Goodbye, David.
  20. This one is very hard. @DRW50 Lynch has been a important part of my life and artistic development since I was very small. I don't know what to say about it. So I won't for now. I'll see you in the trees.
  21. It's not nearly as bad with the gray paint on everything as it was in the early-mid 2010s. I do think the Q mansion looks better than it did a while ago, but I'm still not a fan of the more monochrome color scheme. I do wish they'd use the original drawing/sitting room or whatever more often vs. the Bed Bath & Beyond-looking rooms.
  22. The fairly detailed dedicated GH wiki might have it. They keep astonishingly close track of those locations.
