  1. Do not get me and @Darn started on that broke-ass riff on Sonny's penthouse and his new love for officecore design. We've been cracking up about it for over a year. I don't even care though, I love that he was reduced to this and Laura has the real space these days. The two halves of the statue bust look like Sonny (or a stagehand) just dropped them and put them up on separate podiums. I would contribute to a damn gofundme if they would restore the Brownstone to a vague semblance of its original design, including the original exterior. If they can afford those Prague sets and shít and setting a dude on fire they can redo that.
  2. I actually don't think the younger cast is lackluster. There's talent there. I think they're just poorly used. Tabyana is talented and currently being given nothing now that they don't have to answer to the Sprina fanbase. Giovanni Mazza is cute and fun despite weak scripts, has an impressive body but stays inexplicably dressed at all times, and has little to do while being set up for a needless storyline that will over-age his 'parents' and not add to his character's thin personality. (Unless Gio crashes out with money and drugs after discovering he's a Q, which could work.) The new girl playing Emma is clearly strong IMO, but why should we care about her and Gio being insta-paired up? Even Eden is solid and strong in certain areas and her stories are just not good. Kai is a cipher to me, and overall they're either not hiring strong new actors or making fleshed out new characters to pair with their existing people. Which leaves talented people like Mazza or whoever else adrift.
  3. In North Bend (location shoot home of Twin Peaks):
  4. Me neither. But if you really want to go nuts, try processing Liz and her boys supposedly living in 'the Brownstone' and squaring that set with the longtime one and its exterior.
  5. Gary Levine talks the TP backstory at ABC and onward. Patricia Arquette My friend and brother, my creative partner in crime for nearly forty years, a singular artist and astonishing personality. I loved him, and I will hold our laughter and shared love for the medium he mastered as few have ever done forever in my heart and soul,” said Frost in a statement to Deadline. Many, many more including a wonderful statement from longtime TP director Lesli Linka Glatter.
  6. @DRW50 I'm sure there will be more, but these are a few. This is what I suspected, but it is awful:
  7. Greystone looks like a BB&B even worse than the Qs. It's equally bad.
  8. I would be fine with a lot of it if they just changed the color scheme to something warmer and more similar to the old days. It's not the gun-metal gray of the 2010s but it's pretty sterile. The parlor/sitting room/whatever from the pat should also be used again much more.
  9. Yeah, Erika also disliked him. I imagine the feeling was fairly universal based on the stories.
  10. I agree. He was Erica's stand-by.
  11. I always preferred Dimitri, but I didn't have a problem with Jack and Erica marrying for good in the early 2000s. It seemed like the right thing and the right time for them. Unfortunately then they kept breaking up over and over and I got tired of it. And I love Walt Willey, it wasn't his fault (and I wouldn't even necessarily blame his other bad pairings on him).
  12. I believe his daughter Jennifer said he'd been moved or evacuated as recently as the last few days due to the fires. He was housebound due to his emphysema. I blame the fire in part, frankly. Which he might find appropriate, but he'd also say (and did say) nothing ever dies. Very hard.
  13. He'll never really be gone. Laura Palmer taught me that. Goodbye, David.
  14. This one is very hard. @DRW50 Lynch has been a important part of my life and artistic development since I was very small. I don't know what to say about it. So I won't for now. I'll see you in the trees.
  15. It's not nearly as bad with the gray paint on everything as it was in the early-mid 2010s. I do think the Q mansion looks better than it did a while ago, but I'm still not a fan of the more monochrome color scheme. I do wish they'd use the original drawing/sitting room or whatever more often vs. the Bed Bath & Beyond-looking rooms.
  16. The fairly detailed dedicated GH wiki might have it. They keep astonishingly close track of those locations.
  17. "You thought I would sell you this house. I will, Lucy, when pigs fly and Nixon's reelected." Recent writers never made enough use of Leslie's dry wit.
  18. These are the choices? I turn the gun on myself.
  19. Calling either of them actors would be a stretch, but James is at least more charming.
  20. The blessing is that a lot of that stuff is now on YT. And Leslie was great at it. The stuff with Gail and her past, etc. and then the big quad in '79/'80. The really raw stuff, like when she drove Jeff to shoot himself in the head or something(?), isn't there but you can find her gaslighting/blackmailing Lesley and cozying up to teen Laura in early '78 I believe, with the first Rick still in the role. I have been revisiting the cancer story from '95, which I watched live as a kid and it's still very good.
  21. Neither do I, but a man can dream. Exactly. I'm not convinced that kid in the role is more than 8.
  22. I don't mind Laura having a brother, but it's always seemed like an odd relationship and it's never been mined in the right ways for me. They say the names (Gordon Grey, etc.) but it feels very awkward. Martin keeps calling her 'sister' and I don't believe it because I don't feel the material digs deep enough. I did watch some of the stuff with Lesley and just found it silly. Martin and Cyrus howling at each other about how Cyrus backed over their dad in the driveway with the family car, and old wizened Cyrus wailing that it was an accident - I am not making this up. I could not care less. That's this regime's weird schizophrenic approach to pathos with their arch-villains, which I am sure they will repeat with Sidwell soon (probably by making him Natalia's ex and father to her kids).
