  1. Vincent Baggetta also filled in for Gerald Gordon as Dr. Mark Dante on GH - either in 1982 or 1983.
  2. The two actually shared a scene in 1979's The Bell Jar, which starred Marilyn Hassett and Julie Harris.
  3. Now THAT sounds like a true soap opera story...Henry Slesar could have made it into a true EDGE classic.
  4. Did he leave ATWT on his own or was he fired? I've read that it was this murder mystery story that introduced Lucinda to the canvas in spring 1984.
  5. NBC bought the show in 1980, when CP closed its entertainment division, Channelex (which distributed TD). However, CP remained the show's primary sponsor to the very end.
  6. Does anyone know why Leslie Charleson will be temporarily replaced?
  7. He seems to have developed into more of a quirky character actor after starting out as a teen idol...much like Christian Slater.
  8. I've heard good things about the writing under Linda Grover and Elizabeth Levin/David Cherrill, but I don't think any one writing regime lasted long enough to make any difference. Same goes for the parade of executive producers.
  9. Now you sound like our local (Cleveland) radio guy, Mike Trivisonno - "I'm living in a world I don't understand."
  10. 😨😨😨😨😨
  11. How can Stormy Daniels afford to cough up $100K to bring in Tom Brady? 😨😉
  12. Speaking of which, does anyone know why Kathleen Widdoes/Emma was missing from the show in its final weeks?
  13. So was Rachel a few years later when Alexander Nikos posed as Carl.
  14. Right now, the show is in October 1975. Laryssa Lauret/Karen left for the third and final time in November. I believe she returned to Germany, but we'll know for sure soon.
  15. I read in an old soap book about a blooper James Mitchell made on this show. It was at a big dinner scene where his character was supposed to toast his sister (played by Diana van der Vlis), "Happy birthday, Kate!" Instead, he goofed and said, "Merry Christmas, Kate!" The show was done live to tape, and didn't reshoot the scene.
  16. Ironically, Nic Coster once named his role on AMC as one of his very favorite soap gigs!!
  17. My heart bleeds for him.
  18. I believe you're right about Princess Gina, but that story was so convoluted that it was just about the only thing I understood about it. Plus, it dragged on for way too long.
  19. Missouri's governor is now in hot water: https://www.google.com/amp/s/abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/missouri-governor-eric-greitens-accused-unwanted-sexual-advances/story%3fid=54405808
  20. That was her, too? Ironically, Jo's mom was played by a one-time soap actress - Claire Malis (OLTL).
  21. I totally agree. I applaud the Wearys for putting his education first.
  22. Every soap fan worth his/her salt knows that never works...at least not long-term.
  23. Thank you, @YurSoakinginit!! I wish more of this story was up on YouTube.
  24. It's going to be interesting to see how #MeToo will affect this trial.
  25. Hmmmm...interesting. 😨
