Hey, @Jennybold1974remember how I got a lot of 2005 episodes on DVD from an angel (which I haven't finished uploading, oops 😇 - but I will get to it soon). They are back in touch with me, and they want to know what is missing from 2004 and 2005 so they can hopefully fill the gaps. Do you happen to have a list already prepared? Looks like we need almost all of 2004, with April being the most complete. They would need dates though, not episode numbers, because that is how they named their files, and their episodes would be in English. If you have the list, it would help! Thanks.

I have this book, but haven't gotten around to reading it (story of my life!). I'd be interested to hear your impressions. You could make another thread for more visibility since not everyone reads the Y&R thread.

Soap Opera Digest gives a little more detail on this scene. I can just picture it! Brook and Derek have both agreed that Brock should be the one to tell his mother about Derek‘s upcoming marriage to Jill. It was the hardest thing Brock ever had to do but it was something that had to be done, and the results are, more or less, what he expected. Kay is shattered. She starts crumbling right before his eyes. She cries that can't be. She can’t lose Derek. --He‘s the only-reason she‘s living. Without him there's no purpose, no meaning,- for her life. She knows what she needs now—a nice, stiff drink. Brock crushes ”his mother‘s shaking body to him and says she mustn t do that. She mustnt take a drink. It will hurt Derek deeply If he found out she began drinking again because of his marriage. He may not love her, but Kay knows he does care about her very much; Does Kay follow her son‘s advice?-. . . No way! Brock leaves the room and she runs immediately for the vodka bottle she has hidden in a drawer. She hurriedly opens the bottle, presses the top to her lips and takes two large gulps. She then vows, twisting her wedding ring as she says the words, that she‘ll never lose a second husband to Jill. Jill will not take this man away.

Considering Kevin was a sexual predator he doesn't exactly belong in the teen scene. 😅

I can't remember it exactly or who said it but I once read a quote from a soap writer that said when they write a scene, they need to keep track of what they wrote about that character weeks ago (what's on the air currently), what they've been writing that's not aired yet, what they're writing in the current episode, and what the plans are for the character in the short and long term future. It really is incredible what they do and I can understand how they focus more on motivations and storylines than remembering details like names and dates.

Love that list of quotes! Wonder if they all made it to the show. Wow that comment about if Terry Lester played Brock... I can picture it, that's fascinating. @Broderickthis is the scene where Brock returns.

Wow, I actually thought we'd never see a location shoot after COVID again. Much less international.

The annoying thing is this is now messing with my DVR settings. It didn't record Monday's Y&R, which aired, or GH's special episode yesterday. But it always records the hearings when the show is preempted, lol. I know I can watch the shows online but it's annoying.

The way this show does "drama," they probably will have them call a truce. 😂

I felt like there was too much talking and the clips were short... if Traci is talking about being addicted to diet pills, it would be nice to see a clip! This felt more like Beth's episode than Eileen's, and I'm not complaining on that. She's such an asset to the show. Eileen has said she doesn't feel like this is her anniversary, but Ashley's, and acknowledged that other actresses played the part. Interesting how they showed the abortion confrontation scene without saying what it was about. Amazing that 35 years later, it's too controversial, lol.

Thank you for all the updates. So there's not a heating scheduled for the 17th? I hope the Abbott sisters special episode will air in full, on time.
