I can't remember it exactly or who said it but I once read a quote from a soap writer that said when they write a scene, they need to keep track of what they wrote about that character weeks ago (what's on the air currently), what they've been writing that's not aired yet, what they're writing in the current episode, and what the plans are for the character in the short and long term future. It really is incredible what they do and I can understand how they focus more on motivations and storylines than remembering details like names and dates.

Love that list of quotes! Wonder if they all made it to the show. Wow that comment about if Terry Lester played Brock... I can picture it, that's fascinating. @Broderickthis is the scene where Brock returns.

Wow, I actually thought we'd never see a location shoot after COVID again. Much less international.

The annoying thing is this is now messing with my DVR settings. It didn't record Monday's Y&R, which aired, or GH's special episode yesterday. But it always records the hearings when the show is preempted, lol. I know I can watch the shows online but it's annoying.

The way this show does "drama," they probably will have them call a truce. 😂

I felt like there was too much talking and the clips were short... if Traci is talking about being addicted to diet pills, it would be nice to see a clip! This felt more like Beth's episode than Eileen's, and I'm not complaining on that. She's such an asset to the show. Eileen has said she doesn't feel like this is her anniversary, but Ashley's, and acknowledged that other actresses played the part. Interesting how they showed the abortion confrontation scene without saying what it was about. Amazing that 35 years later, it's too controversial, lol.

Ugh! That is so not realistic. I was dealing with one of them once. They eventually negotiated to sell me a huge lot for like $2/tape which was reasonable (all unlabeled and ended up not much Y&R on it anyway). If this guy's mom was taping them without commercials that means she may have fit a lot of episodes on those tapes, God bless her. I'm definitely interested in donating towards this. I could also digitize the tapes if this guy doesn't want to do that. I'm going to have some free time this summer hopefully.

Like @Videnbassaid, if you can capture it at all you can do short pieces or one long file and someone will edit it. I love how this community always comes up with a way! Also, some other small news, there are some CALA episodes in folders December 1994 and January and February 1995. Unfortunately, this person was unable to record some weeks, but it's still good to have, and we will probably get it from Videoland eventually too. Thank you to the person who sent these anonymously, and the person here who helped with finding the dates and uploading them!

Yes, I have some that someone recorded and sent me (I am female btw). The issue is there's no episode numbers or dates; the only dates are the dates they recorded them, and I have not had the time to go through them and read the recaps to figure out the dates. I guess I can just upload them without names, and then you guys can do that work. The only thing is that since renaming things wastes space in the Vault, I would have to upload them, then delete them all, rename them on the computer, and I or someone else would have to reupload them with the correct dates which is sort of a pain. But I suppose it's better that they be shared than sit on my hard drive until I'm not as busy, so if someone wants to be in charge of researching and renaming, let me know, please. As far as I understand it CALA isn't a streaming channel. You have to receive it via satellite and it is for user in the Caribbean and Latin America so you'd have to live there and record it off the cloud. I do recall @Marquise was trying to find out if it streamed anywhere. It's nice getting the episodes without subtitles so it's too bad it's so difficult to obtain them.
