  1. They could have gone for some real history, like Eric Garrison's awkward portrait of Dina, which is what made Ashley realize her mom was sleeping with her lover:
  2. Y&R's opening scene featured Brad Eliot, played by Tom Hallick, hitchhiking a ride into Genoa City: When Gina Togoni debuted as Phyllis, she hitchhiked to Genoa City on a truck driven by... Tom Hallick. What's 36 years between appearances? Tom Hallick, an original cast member of The Young and the Restless, is returning to the CBS soap but not as Brad Eliot, the heartthrob neurosurgeon turned news reporter he played from 1973 to '78. Instead, on Sept. 26, Hallick will be seen as a kindly truck driver who helps an on-the-lam Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) find her way back to Genoa City. The setup is a trippy homage to the premiere episode of Y&R — in fact, the soap's very first scene — which had Brad getting a lift from a truck driver heading to GC. "They found the same kind of truck and dug out the old script — only now I have the truck driver's dialogue and Gina has mine," Hallick tells TV Guide Magazine. "It was weird recreating the scene that way, but really pretty wonderful." It wasn't exactly old-home week. "Y&R still shoots at CBS on Stage 43 and they gave me Jeanne Cooper's old dressing room, so that much was familiar, but so much time has passed that the cast and the crew were all new to me," says Hallick, who left Y&R even before the show's longest-running vets, Doug Davidson (Paul) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki), came onboard. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/exclusive-tom-hallick-returns-young-restless-134700476.html
  3. Good thinking!
  4. Thank you! This is an extremely welcome change.
  5. Absolutely... everyone who helped is amazing! I actually am weirdly attached to some of the old lower res versions, like the ones from the Amy Silence channel, which was where I first discovered that the early years were being released. 😍
  6. Thank you soooooooo much! ❤️ They're beautiful! At some point when @ChickenNuggetz92 and I have time I would love to see if some of the B&B folders need to be pruned or rearranged and perhaps delete some of the poor quality stuff. I always hesitate to delete anything because there might be some reason it's there... like one person prefers high quality video with subtitles, while someone else prefers lower resolution video without subtitles... and then there are random problems with missing sound and black screens... but if there are versions that are definitely 100% complete and HD with no subtitles, then perhaps others can be deleted...? Like for 1987 we have several versions of the same episodes but then for 1989 I guess there are only YouTube rips from Videoland... and for 1991 we have folders that are mostly empty.. that say "German"... I'm just looking at random years. I definitely want to organize them soon!
  7. Lol, but with that special app he could do it all from his couch! No biggie.
  8. So I never got around to this, but I think by now people are aware of the new Vault, and the new upload folders are starting to get big. I'm going to start moving the files that have been newly uploaded as of today into their correct folders (full episodes or clips by year and month) a week from today, which would be the evening of April 21st, the day after Easter. So if anyone hasn't checked out the folders for new stuff, go ahead and do that this week. All of Y&R, B&B, and GL have new uploads in the root folders.
  9. It's amazing how good some of the actors are, then. I was watching Thursday's ep thinking I'm so embarrassed such good actors are playing these scenes. What a shame. I get the set limitations but compelling writing costs nothing extra.
  10. Dan McVicar in his prime was much more handsome than Goddard and he played the hell out of his complex relationship with Darlene Conley. Wasn't there some planted stories about him being seen jogging in his neighborhood crying after he was fired? It was something ridiculous and OTT.
  11. As a CBS fan I'm relieved and would like to offer Scott Clifton back to GH as penance.
  12. @Alan what a gorgeous photo! BTW I'm in love with your avatar. 🤗
  13. I really hope this is for like less than 5 episodes.
  14. I would love to see Clarke again!
  15. I remember him being very intense when he killed Claudia. Seemed like an heir apparent to Jason.
  16. This. I get Adamson is hurt he didn't even get to try out, but he's too soft for the role and so was Duell.
  17. That was an extremely helpful article. I have never seen such detailed breakdowns of eligibility. I'm trying to understand the impact of ending the "parity" system will be... other than to give the hourlong soaps a better chance because they have bigger casts?
  18. And I would have never guessed that, because her scenes were so memorable I would have pretty much assumed she's near the top of the list! That's wild that she's not top 10.
  19. This was all filmed before it made it to air though... the new Ted was already filming when the show debuted right? So hopefully they've already started to make adjustments.
  20. But the tortellini! It's as good as Sonny's sauce. 😅
  21. I saw chemistry with Andre. Sub her in for Ashley in the triangle. Shanice can go toe to toe with Dani.
  22. This kind of tracks with that being a slow week and no good cliffhanger from March Madness. GH honestly was better than the other shows last week, not that this always reflects in the ratings.
