  1. Don’t ask some something you’ll never get with a statement like that! 😝 I think the show has struggled with building couples and relationships. So many chem-less or boring pairings still on the canvas. I also don’t think FV has ever known how to produce romantic or passionate scenes. Not like Wendy Riche and Shelley Curtis did back in the 90’s. I liked when Curtis talked about that a bit in her State of Mind interview with Maurice, because it’s so true. Hell, even when Sonny and Brenda were breaking up back in the day, the atmosphere, music, dialogue, and the way the scenes were produced had so much passion and grit, you could still feel something even if you weren’t a fan. You won’t get scenes produced this way in FV’s sterile production method.
  2. Patrick Mulcahey is credited solo or with Nancy Williams Watt for a bit after Curlee left. But there were rapid changes at that time, felt like the HW-ing credits were changing week to week in 1994 - it’s no wonder that was such an awful year for the show.
  3. Why was DAYS so desperate to ape GH in the 80’s and failing to remember that Pat Falken Smith started at DAYS before going to GH in the first place?
  4. Slightly off topic - but when PFS came back to DAYS in 1981, NBC ran a commercial promo about “having the writer from GH now!” I wish that was still up, and why did no one bother to tell NBC PFS started at DAYS? Oh, here it is. How tacky:
  5. RIP - what a legend of the genre. For all its faults, I am glad she came back to Y&R (and added so much) a few years back and was able to win an Emmy for it.
  6. Maybe he burnt a batch of cookies…
  7. Plenty of people (Kristina, Lois, Dante, Carly, possibly Laura) are suspicious of Ava or have an idea of what she wants (Nina). This has to be building to something. Ava is happy to ignore Sonny’s meds issue if it means she can use it for her own means. I don’t think she necessarily cares about who’s doing it as much as the advantages it’s giving her.
  8. I’ll only agree to Sasah being the Quartermaine cook if we see her onscreen as much as we saw “Cook”…
  9. Sasha’s boring ass needs to be written out - not “finding” a job that works for her. I just don’t care about this equally boring Gregory ALS story…
  10. Maybe Spencer and Esme will return together and engaged, just to f.uck with the Sprina fans on Twitter. 😙😙😙
  11. I’m more convinced than ever after today that Ava is going to cause some harm to Kristina, causing her to miscarry. Kristina is now on a mission to figure out what Ava’s up to. When Nina told her to “be careful”, it felt like some type of foreshadowing.
  12. It’s a wait and see thing for me - because Trina has rarely been featured prominently by this regime so far. I have no indication that they’re really invested in her until I see for myself. I also don’t know if they have big plans for her once their new stories start launching. That early 20’s/college set needs some energy invested into it. It would be nice if Trina and Joss had other people their age to interact and build relationships with. Surprisingly, on a show with such a bloated cast, they don’t really.
  13. Not that we didn’t already know…. Nicholas Alexander Chavez Not Returning to General Hospital as Spencer (Exclusive)
  14. I needed a good laugh and this popped up on my Instagram feed in the nick of time! Oh, the 80’s!
  15. I don’t think Drew is that smart or that these writers are interested in any revenge scheme. For all intents and purposes, Drew already got his revenge when he fired Nina from Crimson. But he, of course, changed his mind about that. Drew and Nina seem more poised for a kooky romantic entanglement, at least from what’s being written right now.
  16. I see some softening, especially when he went out of his way to tell Willow that Nina was thinking of her and her kids yesterday. He didn’t have to do that.
  17. Honestly, feels like they’re setting up a “Who Killed Ava?” mystery…
  18. I think it’s different with Jane. There’s a formidable, grounded aura to her presence on the show that can’t be matched. Even when the writing is awful or when they paint Tracy as a cartoon character.
  19. They seem to be chem testing Drew with everyone, today with Jordan. Not sure he’s worth this much effort…
  20. By far the most charismatic veteran actress on the show if you ask me. Jane also looks great for 77. I do need them to give her an actual, fully fleshed out storyline though.
  21. Sonny and Carly will end up back together after Ava and Valentin are exposed, watch. That’s always the default on this show. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Nina and Carly become unlikely allies to at least take down and expose Ava. Nina already knows what Ava’s game is, it’s just getting the likes of Carly and Jason to believe her.
  22. Man, it sucks that the soaps can’t afford to have real pop music playing anymore, lol
  23. It’s even funny that Liz wasn't even invited to the bachelorette party. She’s romantically involved with Chase’s brother, that’s closer of a connection than some others have to BLQ that were invited, lol.
  24. Laurence Casio said in his Locher Room interview last week that when Calhoun had left ATWT, he was burnt out and didn’t want to do soaps again (which is how Caso took over when Ed Trach asked him to come over from the network side). But Trach did get Calhoun to come back, but to GL, in many ways to help usher it into a new era.
