  1. LOL. I still think it's a good counterpoint because I (outside of the Kat/Tomas date) loathed Friday's episode. Weakest of all the episodes to date. Watching the HW name rotation on GH and focusing on what those episodes are like so I know WHO to shade, Friday's episode vs yesterday's episode of BTG was like a vindication to me. Because how is it that I loved yesterday's episode and how it moved vs Friday's. Same script writer. It had to be the breakdown writer and I saw who did Friday's vs yesterday. Given the discussion I've seen on Jamey's work all over the various threads, I'm actually curious to see how he works. Speaking of script writers, I'm also really looking forward to Jazmin Brown's next script.
  2. How did you envision her? If you don't mind me asking. Yep, yep. A fun moment!
  3. I totally agree. I love how we still get moments every few moments. Such a real family. Now that I think about it...was the last one before today the one when they did their model walks...outside of the pictures at Nicole's award event?
  4. None at all. But I expect some to turn up.
  5. But soooo Karen Huger-and therefore Maryland coded. lol
  6. See? This episode was a good counterpoint. I know I was discussing RC, the forthcoming Jamey scripts, and the like this morning. And this episode was scripted by Lynn Martin who also did the script for the RC breakdown. And it was like night and day from that Friday episode. So perhaps once Jamey's first script arrives, it will be the same versus what he wrote on DAYS. I think the thing that really intrigued me was the lawsuit storyline. I liked that here we were getting more development for another side character...Mike who was Bill's best man I believe. And it sounds like he's crooked. I didn't get that from him in his first few appearances and thought him a snob. So nice to see him developed. And is this our first topical storyline on the show...sexual harassment in the workplace? Is it still timely? It did make me wonder. And also it made me side-eye Hayley after that one girl mentioned that she lost out on her job because she would not do anything with Mike. So...did Hayley do something? And then it's external conflict for Naomi who could use her own storyline. And it would be her vs Bill...organic drama. It has its possibilities. And then there was Eva vs Kat. Oooooo I knew Kat wouldn't like seeing her in that dress!! lol. And her 'you're in my seat' had me fall out since it was from the Karen Huger playbook of slights. And yaaass to Eva rising to the occasion. Again, if these two DO turn out to be sisters, that's going to be such a mess since they are already rivals. I feel like Jacob (hmmm with his foine self) and his partner seeing Joey is going to be important at a later date. But good to see his partner has a bit of backstory, too. I hollered at Hayley getting slighted by the whooooole country club. And Dani got to see it. hehe. But it sounds like that might be the push to get Bill to reveal Martin's secret or push that storyline forward. Speaking of...Dani, Dani, Dani. I was happy to see her in Momager mode. And even better, I was happy seeing her functioning and being supporting to the others rather than vice versa. After episodes of her at her worst, the writers were shifting her back again into a more sympathetic light. And then they pulled the rug out from under me with this episode coda. Le sigh. Not her turning into a drunk. She just can't help it, can she? Also loved seeing the Kat and Chelesa dynamic, the family giving the collective stare at Tomas, the fact the Kat/Chelesa business story is just nicely simmering in the background. Now...we getting a cliffhanger tomorrow before March Madness or what? Yep, yep.
  7. Thank you. Before last night, I had no idea about them. I happen to have on the news (something that I've been doing more of due to He Who Shall Not Be Named...just like I was the last time cuz...peace of mind) and my local news station did a segment. Newsworthy yes, but IMHO not so newsworthy to cut into the show. There was another more newsworthy segment afterwards last night that bothered me more and should be discussed...that I'm surprised it has not been all over media. I wrote about it briefly, but in the interest of keeping this thread about THE SHOW...and not politics, I edited it out of my original post. Because that (and apparently what just happened an hour ago) I could see interrupting a show. And those are topics that the masses are aware of or would be affected by.
  8. I still agree with you to this day on Vancouver Season 1. Deserves to be in the Top 10 of all HW seasons Amen.
  9. Now...if I can watch the episode...lol.
  10. Uhhhh NO...I'm pretty sure what I saw in my own room alone with my own eyes on the news last night where I live WAS a news story about the astronauts. Not their landing...no. What their situation was...yes. I am not going to talk split hairs over another person's opinions on what counts as special report news where I've already explained my own opinion. Moreso when there are other options as well to see the current status of said astronauts without cutting into a show. To each their own.
  11. Like I said, it was on the news last night. So for me, it was something that could have waited. And I can think of far more pressing news from what I saw last night that could early have cut into today that concerned me...and frankly the rest of the country. That was more of a big deal since no one would want history to repeat itself circa 1940s. But I edited that OUT of my original post since we are here to talk about THIS show. Not politics.
  12. Yasss Kat vs Eva is ON!!! Our Club? Now Bill... Oh on, Dani!!! Not the bottle. She was actually coming across so well so far this episode. Annnnd looks like I'll be watching the rest later because it seems CBS finds the return of the astronauts I saw on the news last night was more important than finishing the show. Ugh.
  13. Yesterday with Martin, today with Vernon...hehe. Nice to see the guys watching out for their girls. Oh no...not Eva hitting on Tomas.
  14. HAHAHAHA Not everyone ignoring Hayley. And Dani getting to pick on her. Both were well dressed. Hehe. I love Kat/Chelesa. 'The rational non-co-dependent Dupree daughter. I got the other one.' took me out. I like people already know what Joey is all about.
  15. I know right. I don't understand them, but that opening and the vibe was breathtaking. I would watch. I really wish there were foreign HW shows aired here. Because what I've seen, I would love to see. Like LEGOS, this one, that same tweet mentioned reasons to watch HOUSEWIVES OF AMSTERDAM. Of course, JOHANNESBURG. Same on both accounts. That's an ALL STARS season I would love to see.
  16. Darn it!! Missed the first five minutes. That said...I hollered that the first scene I saw was Kat mad at Eva wearing her clothes. And uh oh at this lawsuit. And I was shocked to see that Daphne Rose lookalike in the lawsuit. And it made me wonder how Bill and Hayley will look if they go there with the lawsuit. Awwww at Anita and Vernon. We will see.
  17. I thought it was a good attempt. Perhaps by the time they have another confrontation, there will be more fire to Hayley. Of course, I still feel that Dani will ultimately blow her out of the water. But it will make it better to watch. Or how well people know his style. I'm more curious to see one of Jamey's episodes for a counterpoint to what I see people say about his scripts on DAYS versus what has been mentioned about his work on Ambitions.
  18. Well RC has a style that is very easy to see when you know his stuff. I simply hoped that the dialogue person could save it, but Friday was a poor attempt. Fingers crossed when he comes back around in rotation, that was just a one-off.
  19. Oh, yeah, it's clear that the kids favor Smitty over Martin and he primarily raised them just off how well he can tell there is something wrong. Martin is giving strict dad...which I know VERY well what that is like when Dad and Mom are in the room with their kids. Those scenes...at least for me...rang true which is why I love them.
  20. She did. Love that. Hmmm...it would come with its own drama for sure. But I would say no. I'm not against it, but sometimes you have that FWB who can be there for you when the world is being crazy...which is why I loved them at the end. So I could see them having that kind of a relationship or even Andre turning into another one of her partners-in-crime...someone that lets her be her, but hopefully allow Dani to grow. Yasss!!!!
  21. I would say they will keep the characters as gray or with nuances as possible IMHO. I totally agree on organic conflict. Part of the reason I've been looking the show...besides the nuances...has been the drama has been for the most part organic. Good list. lmao
