  1. OOoooo my kind of juicy! Love you, Cheap!!! Same. I am very surprised. And after 14 years, too. Sad.
  2. I agree. Even the discussion about cuts at the end of scenes. I'm binging THE DEFENDERS right now, and it has those cuts. Is it odd? Oh God yes. Heck, I will say it's worse than what has been discussed here because it does not bother me here and this was back in 2017/2018. That said...I am starting to look forward to BTG finding their proper rhythm.
  3. Emphasis on the work...VANISH. I've discussed this at length in the monthly threads on the main A stories as established by Week 1...which Martin's secret was one of them. Most soaps would have an A story one week with all the B/C plots just orbitting about. BTG did that well itself in the first two/three weeks. But like I mentioned before one of the A stories (Dani/Bill/Hayley) they can't keep going to that at the moment since it was already overkill by the end of Month 1. The other one...the Silk Press storyline...was really the only one that has been well-paced in my opinion with twists, turns, and builds...including subplots and near-misses. But that was not going to explode before May Sweeps. So that left Martin's secret...which as I said...started off well. I loved how it started with Martin having problems sleeping, but NO images. Then we got sounds. THEN we started to get images. And NOW those images are getting more established. But before we got all that, his storyline...which has been established to be a main one...vanished for a month and a half. While it worked for the storyline since Month 2 gave Martin (and Brandon Clayborn to grow) time to be more established...along with his family...the story of his secret could have also been a story that had a nice slow burn (which I love) to the show while having the other B/C plots orbitting it. Again, not mad at it since it allowed the audience to learn more about Martin and his family life. It also allowed for other B/C plots to grow on the audience. I also think the story development for that A story might have suffered from the writers still trying to find a rhythm that works for this show. In any case, I also said that I felt they might go old school soap in May. And by old school I meant as an A story is climaxing, the writers take another story that will be the next one and start to build it up again, while also starting another plot as a C plot. And right now, we have the SilkPress storyline climaxing while Martin's nightmares (with images) have finally started to come back into play. I mentioned when I saw the promos of Martin vs Ted that hopefully the reveal would trigger Martin to the point that we FINALLY get to see what he did. So far...how Martin's been acting since the reveal, being so triggered, I still feel that is how we will see how things happened...allowing the next A story to finally take off. Fingers crossed.
  4. I agree. For now. I am sure in a year's time...a new family (or old) will start to appear on the show.
  5. As long as it doesn't become a storyline like Mr. Connecticut. 😜 Thank you for this! I thought Olivetta was the restaurant that burnt down in the L. A. fires! But if it's there, there...neat. ETA: My bad. I made it to the front page of the site. I also didn't know they were divorcing. Wow. Hehe. I liked it, but it was definitely not the same as originalNY. And if it is dead, that just means that Brynn truly was the production pet and with no one wanting to film with her, they would rather cancel than get rid of yet another problematic person...which would be the easy way out. I heard about that. I wonder if she is done filming yet. And I love Vanderpump Villa. Almost done with S2. I still like S1 better, but it's been an enjoyable mess. As a result, I keep going back and forth over which season is better. Love.
  6. Very. It's VERY annoying, too.
  7. I completely understand. I see Julie pop up in the most random places on TV over the last few years and it warms my heart. She's come such a long way. I used to hear about Marissa and her restaurants from time to time as well. It's good to see any cast member doing well because it gives me a feel-good vibe of remember when. Yeah, I hate to agree, but I see it online. I still get the ugh. It's just odd (but not surprising) to see the worst people on their respective shows get to bounce back after their shows ended so horribly due to their toxicity. IKR!!! Now I hope the other cities are also true. I would love to see a successfully-made city around Chicago as well as a Real Housewives of New Orleans. Preferably with an appearance by some castmates from SOUTHERN CHARM: NOLA. Well it was mentioned that it seems like NY was not renewed (and it seems like the cast still talk to each other EXCEPT Brynn) so you might get that retire wish.
  8. Oh, yeah, there's been rumors for at least THREE new HW shows for a while. So far from what I can find...a total reboot with LoL. But I am sure that can change. Le sigh. I can't believe they are letting The Valley grow into a franchise. Meanwhile, Summer House MV, Family Karma, etc are on pause.
  9. First of all...LADIES OF LONDON????????? @Cat @DaytimeFan where are you? lol. Second of all...so that rumor about a new HW show was real???
  10. Also how I feel.
  11. I admit...I too thought of Penny and Good Times at that ending with SilkPress.
  12. hahaha at the Brennan shade. But even I saw this and have to agree. What's really sad is that some of the person on that list could easily have a love interest that is on the canvas. They just need to be written for.
  13. True. But I have always had mixed feelings about that twist. Since I love the Damian storyline which already had twists and turns. Also I could not wait for a new powerful AND BLACK businessman to mix it up at some point with Victor. It just seem like another twist that was added on for twist sake. And also for a character (whether I love him or not) to hijack a new and refreshing storyline so they can be propped. Once good thing that I can say about JG is that he loves to keep the Abbotts in rotation. So I could see that happening with Diane. I don't think she has mentioned her backstory, either. I would be intrigued.
  14. Yeah, I agree. It's part of the reason I have shade picked on Martin's Secret being so on the backburner that it was about to fall off of it. With Dani/Bill/Hayley being the main tale to start us off and backburned and the SilkPress storyline being well paced, but not set to explode until May, Martin's Secret was the other main storyline that could have been developed. And after giving it a nice slow burn to start off, the story upped and vanished in Month 2. That left the show having to rely on mostly B/C stories to stay afloat to various degrees of success.
  15. I don't think so, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was Dumas this whole time.
  16. 5-2 Lord... At least the week started off well...I think. I don't know where to start. Oh, yes, I do. It was mostly background noise to me. There was nothing to the majority of the characters that were on. Meaning, it was mostly characters that I didn't care for or I've gotten accustomed to just FF-ing through. Or just zoning out. Even the possibility that Michael and Lauren might have a story was just meh simply because we have done this dance before and Lauren was coming across like Michael was working for Sonny on GH the mob. The biggest thing I really took away from last week was that the new costumer designer has stepped up her game again. It didn't bother me at all, but I wish there was some drama with this fashion. I liked Claire's outfit, LOVE Nikki's. And I continue to like brighter colors on Nick though I hated those pants. And I could go on about the clothes misses like Billy in that short sleeeve, but I digress. The only things that held my interest... THE SICKENING OF COLE. As soon as he started to cough, I went uh oh. I'm happy to see he might be getting a story. And I guess it shows how much history I have with the character that I care. But still...ugh. ALL THINGS AUDRA. I admit that I was taken aback to see Victor with her at Crimson Lights. When was the last time he was there? I want to say recently with Kyle/Claire, but otherwise I still found the scene taking me aback. But I like her being soft with Kyle who actually came across annoyingly flirty for someone that hates Audra. I actually can't wait for him to eat crow. And since Audra is now being used to drive a wedge between Kyle and Claire, I have to talk about... SUMMER'S EXIT. Mmmm...mixed feelings. It don't seem half as bad as others appear to see it. Yes, if I didn't have the context, it still seem odd that her part in the Kyle/Claire drama was barely touched on. And she interacted with everyone I felt she should interact with. But in the overall context...I still didn't mind the exit. Though it was abrupt. I did like hearing that Noah and Allie are still together. And don't get me started on the offscreen Mariah drama.
  17. The eternal dream...him begging to get with her included.
  18. And did!!! lol. BE STILL.
  19. And that was absolutely delicious. And well-plotted.
  20. How funny to see the name Taggert as I drop in because I was just thinking that isn't this month or next two years since his last appearance? Well, was his last appearance when he broke down in the elevator over Trina's parentage?
  21. And to add on to this...SilkPress has been poking him with popshots (brownie boy) since the reveal. And at least it has been established that Martin does not at all like to be messed with. And now he's been messed with since he was a kid with the affair reveal. That...plus the consistent verbal poking by SilkPress over the last few episodes...does not make his anger out of place at all. I hope so as well. Even though the other CBS soaps still have a LOOOT of work to do, BTG's very presence is getting people to at least check out the other soaps in the lineup, keeping the numbers good. Right now...outside of DAYS...I can forget about any of the other soaps' episodes, it gets deleted off my system, and I feel...nothing. I can get a rewatch in on BTG and I get annoyed and/or angry at my system. lol.
