  1. LOL....if you watch random clips, you will notice the livingroom will change colors and then wallpaper then no wallpaper in the foyer etc... The livingroom looked better yellow as it was in the early seasons than that weird mauve/pink color that was popular in the late 80's she redid it in. I think it was blue at one point too.
  2. Wasn't Robert Reed (aka. Mike Brady) on the show toward the end ?
  3. Thank You for posting more SFT. I can't get enough.
  4. Your right abbout Kevin Conroy as Jerry on AW. I have seen some of his episodes on youtube. I didn't watch Search when it was on and it was cancelled when I was in grade school. I have fallen in love with this show and Sherry Mathis as Liza. I eat up every episode and wish some network would rerun it, even if it's just late 70's and 80's episodes. Thanks for posting this and hope to see more.
  5. I hope to see the scene too where Lorie finds out Leslie is pregnant by Lance. I read she steps out of the shower and Lorie says " Just how pregnant are you Leslie". I agree that some of these characters and their offspring need to return.
  6. At 3:26 is actor Kevin Conroy who is best know today as the voice of Batman in animated features. Kevin also played the role of Bart Falmont on Dynasty.
  7. The four "L's" were a complex bunch. Lucas was in love with Lorie, but since she was his brothers wife, he kept his feelings to himself. When Leslie got pregnant with Lance's child, Lucas stepped in to marry her to give the baby a father and the Prentiss name. They also kept the truth from Lance. Vanessa made sure Lorie knew and rubbed it in Lorie's face. Later during Lucas & Leslie's marriage, I think he develops feelings for her and becomes jealous of Lance. Lance didn't know he was Brooks father till about 1981/82. In one of the Y&R books there is a pic of Lucas (with the beard) shirtless holding Lorie who is wearing noting but a fur coat. I think there is also another shirtless pic of Lucas (with just a mustache) holding Leslie who appears to be semi nude as you just see her bare shoulders.
  8. WOW.....thanks for the Disco scene. I wasn't sure Lucas was going to get up and boogie, but he did. He was so in love with Lorie and pined for her. I wish they had wound up together and had Lance wind up with Leslie.
  9. I spent some time today re-watching Jill trying to kill Val. That was such an awesome storyline with top notch acting. Terri Austin was freak creepy how she was tormenting Val and telling her how if she had to blow her brains out, it would be such a mess to redecorate. Speaking of redecorating, it seemed like Val redid that entire house every season.
  10. I hope your plea reaches the people who have these treasures. I saw some 1979 clips of MTS on her Lifetime interview and want to see more from her pre-Victor days. I would flip if someone has her and Greg's complete wedding in the Brooks house. It's pretty funny that Chris Brooks Foster loaned her white wedding gown to Nikki, since Nikki was considered the town floozy at that point. I wonder if the wedding guest in attendance kept a straight face when she came down the stairs in that ? In the short clips I saw of that wedding, I noticed Stuart standing in the background, I wonder if he was the one who walked her down the aisle ?
  11. Thanks for more great scenes of 70's Y&R. I laughed how Vanessa lied that she would leave Lorie & Lance alone if she would take the blame. What was the Disco scene ? or does that get edited out ? I wonder why the person who recorded these only wanted JLB scenes and not the entire episodes ? When the scenes fade to the next one, I keep hoping we will see the other characters and storylines on the show at the time. I hope to see more of these classics. I hold out hope one day we will get to see some stuff surface of Nikki pre-Victor, especially her marriage to Greg Foster.
  12. I was snooping around the UCLA Film & TV archive web page and they have several early 70's (many from 1973) AW episodes listed in their catalogue, but it states they are not available to the public to view. I would love to see those and the 70's Y&R episodes they have.
  13. In some these clips, JLB has a bit of a 70's Sissy Spacek look going on.
  14. I gather the book is what Vanessa is reffering to. Vanessa found Leslie more docile and easy to deal with than spitfire Lorie. Later on Lorie taunts Vanessa when she thinks she is faking her injuries and Vanessa lifts the veil to show her she is not. Lorie then discovers she could have had surgery, but uses it as a way to keep Lance close to her. I read that Janice Lynde left in early 1977 and K.T. Stevens came on in early 1976, so I assume they did have scenes together. K.T. Stevens was friends with Jeanne Cooper in real life for years prior to them both being on Y&R. K.T. was the ex wife of Hugh Marlowe.
  15. Christopher Holder who played Peter Love # 2 is now an acting teacher. He has a web page and teaches at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio. Chris also played Kevin Bancroft on Y&R, Mark Aldrich on Edge Of Night, and Wade Matthews on All My Children.
  16. Thanks for the 1977 clip.JLB was excellent as always. I hope we will get to see scenes of the 1981 Gala Ball where she tries to steal Leslie's thunder by showing up in that dress slit up to her panties.
  17. A few years back there was a wedding announcement in my local paper and the grooms name was Snapper.....I can guess where his mother got that name. There's no telling how many Ridge and Thornes are out there running around......LOL
  18. Dennis was written out pretty quickly (about a year). He was married to Jaclyn Smith and they divorced around the time he started Y&R. He and Tom Ligon (Lucas) did have the same hair color etc....and did look like they could of been brothers. It seems like Bill Bell just grew tired of Leslie/Laurie/Lance/Lucas and wanted it all to end. As soon as Jami Lyn Bauer decided to call it quits, he started getting rid of the Fosters/Brooks. I never could figure out what Peggy Brooks really did other than the Jack/Joanne thing and her short romance with Steve Williams during the cult story. She stayed on till about late 81/early 82. She was one of those characters that Bill Bell seemed to not know what to do with her. Chris Brooks was the same way. In the early 80's she had these stupid storylines where she wanted new furniture or a new house and Snapper was too full of pride to accept Stuarts help and they fought about it. Then she became a Jabot model briefly before being written out. I feel Bill Bell made the mistake of getting rid of the Sally McGuire character too soon. If he had kept her on, they could have been a triangle like Rachel/Steve/Alice on Another World. Chris could have been tormented by Sally who lorded it over her for giving Snapper a child, while Chris miscarried. Sally then would pursue Snapper and there would have been periods where Snapper married Sally. Greg was in love with Chris and Stuart wanted Greg to pursue her. Maybe Greg could have pined for her while married to Nikki, which opened up another storyline.
  19. I first thought that was her, but then realized everyone was right that it was Nancy # 1 from Family. If it were Betty, maybe she would get Lady Elaine Fairchilde to tear Lauren a new one.....LOL
  20. You are right, that is the first Nancy. I knew she looked familiar, but I was thinking she looked like Betty Aberlin from Mister Rogers. I saw that Y&R episode as a kid when it first aired in 1985. I loved the episodes that guy uploaded, especially the one where Katherine made Jill give her a manicure. She tells Jill she found one of her old smock if she wants to put it on. When Jill is finished doing her nails, she goes to leave and Kay tells her she's not finished, she wants a pedicure and kicks off her shoes........LOL I bet Bill Bell got a kick out of writing that stuff.
  21. Isn't that Betty Aberlin from Mister Rogers Neighborhood playing Gina's former cellmate talking to Lauren ?
  22. I forgot to add that Harding Lemay was also a big fan of Beverly Penberthy (Pat). He said he saw her on the show before he took the job and knew he wanted to seperate Pat from her marriage to John Randolph to explore other romantic storylines for her. I wonder how he felt about Michael Ryan (John) since he killed him off in 1979 ? There are a few slams to actors in the book where he doesn't name names.
  23. I agree. I think writers such as HL have chips on their shoulders and do not want to write for characters or actors they did not cast or create. They wanted were intent on changing Rachel because of their casting of VW and making JC & GH secondary. Yes, I have the AW download from Eddie's website and all of JC scenes were excellent. It was Lenore and Russ that went to check on Alice and had to break in to check on her. JC is so convincing as a mentally disturbed Alice. William Roerick plays Alice's doctor that comes with Russ to the house to convince her to come with him to the hospital. William would go on to GL as Henry Chamberlain.
