THANK YOU for the 1975 episode. What a treat. One thing to note is John McCook is on the show in 1975. Most write ups have him joining in 76. The guy at the party Mr. Kincaid talking to Lance and Leslie is actor Mike Road. He is best known for the voice of Race Bannon on Johnny Quest and Zandor on the Hurculoids. He died in 2013 at age 95. Mark was sadly be proven wrong. Lorie is his half sister and they are to never be together. I read Jamie Lyn Bauer and Bill Bell got hate mail when Lorie said she did not care and wanted to marry him anyway.

Ellen Holly has a great sense of humor. I found myself laughing at a lot of the things she says like " I cut my hair and ended up looking like Rachel Maddow. Boy did she get screwed by that show and Agnes.

I remember someone posting that one actress was forced to watch Rauch receive a BJ from another actress he was boinking as punishment for something she had done on set. Is that true ? He also sexually harassed Maeve Kinkead at AW and she was moved to GL to avoid a lawsuit. Years later he arrived at GL and made her life hell.

Holly said she knew when she met Rauch for the first time that he was out to get rid of her. He complained about her voice and told her to get a voice coach. She called the voice coach and they said they didn't know what the problem was. They told her to out and ask him. He replied " I can't put my finger on it, but there's just something"......he just wanted rid of her ASAP. If you google pics of Rauch he always had that pompous smart @$$ look on his face.

That was horrible. She had been on the show close to 20 years by that point. I have never heard good things about Rauch. He has been trouble on every show he's worked on.

Didn't Paul Rauch have his assistant to tell Lillian Hayman that she had just worked her last day while she was on her way to her car in the parking lot ?

A lot of EP and HW have screwed over actors over the years. There were some horror stories about John Conboy back in the day. These Archive Of American Television interviews are great. I hope they do one with Melody Thomas Scott at some point. They already did one with Eric Braeden which I skipped through.

She said she wrote that storyline herself and had an actor in mind she wanted whom she had dated in real life to play the part. Joe Stuart insisted on casting Burghardt. She said the moment she tested with him, Burhardt had a intense hate for her because she must have reminded him of someone in his personal life. She said Stuart pretty much blamed her for everything and said Burghardt was flubbing his lines because of her etc...

Oh Yes she told some stories about his mistreatment of her. He yelled at her about her hair on her hanging down on her neck and she cut it. Then he screamed at her telling her he hated her voice and to go get voice lessons. She also mentioned an actor she refereed to as Martin (she changed his name for her book) that played Dr. Scott and she said he had a hatred towards her and she was frightened to work with him on a daily basis.

The EH interview is great. I always wondered why Robert Milli as Dr. Jim Craig # 1 (who she referred to as gorgeous) left the show so soon. She said they quickly wrote him and Peter Deanda (she referred to him a as gorgeous too) as Dr. Price Trainor out and never told her why. They then paired her with politician Bert who she said was a "nothing burger" and put on the back burner. The story about her contract was sad. She said Doris Quinlan froze her out making her panic and sign again with the show getting a raw deal.

I'm binging on the 60's TV series That Girl and Bewitched. The shows are still fun to watch.

They do look alike. I thought it was him at first. I wonder if the actor/model ever did soaps ?

So far in the 1976 episodes, the Dr. Paul Summers storyline is the most interesting. He is manipulating everyone around him and it's fun to watch. It's a matter of time when he will seduce Stacy. She is already under his spell. His back and forth banter with Ann is hilarious. Nick and Althea were a super couple of this show, but I fast forward through their scenes.

LOL......There was a country singer back in the day named Faron Young. It may have also been a play on Farrah Fawcett. Most of the strange names Bill Bell used on his shows came from people he knew in real life.

Thanks for letting me know. Rick Darros should have shaved his back and shoulders before wearing that shirt. Loved the flashback from Kay to the 1970's and the scenes between Kay & Jill snipping at one another. Kay was trying so hard not to tear her throat out.......LOL I miss all the vintage background music.

If you are interested, Sharon Gless (and Tyne Daly) did interviews with The Archive Of American Television. Sharon Gless is hilarious and interesting. She talks about how she started out as a contract player in 1972 with Universal and stayed 10 years. She was the last contract player in the history of the studio system. When they did the 1981 C&L pilot TV movie. They wanted Gless from the start, but she was under contract with Universal. When it went to series, they tried to get her again, she was still under contract. They shot 6 episodes with Meg Foster as Cagney and CBS pulled the plug after 3 aired. Rosenzweig begged for another shot and told CBS he would get Gless. Her contract had come to an end by then and was able to snag her. Barbara Corday and her partner who wrote C&L in the 70's had always saw SG in the Cagney role. It took them 6 years to get a network to buy the series. Sharon said she knew when she started that the whole show rested on her to help Tyne make it work, which was a lot of pressure.

Paul Carr who is playing Dr. Paul Summers was a fantastic actor. He did a lot of TV series and films. A lot of the time he was cast as bad guys, but I have read he was one of the nicest guys in real life. He was on Y&R at one point playing Victor's lawyer during his divorce from Nikki. One role Carr did that was hilarious was an episode of Get Smart. They were doing a take off of the Raymond Burr series Ironside and Paul played the side kick of Leadside. He was rolling him around in his wheel chair during a sword fight scene....LOL

LOL....good examples. Janice Lynde said if she had it to do all over again she would have stayed on Y&R. I guess hindsight is 20/20. William Gray Espy (Mitch) seemed to never want to be stuck in one place too long either. I remember Linda Dano said he would come on the show and after a few months start complaining he had to get off it and felt cooped up. James Houghton said the same thing when Espy was on Y&R. I think Espy now runs or owns a golf club in his hometown of Dothan, Alabama.

I listened to it again your right it's Dave Madden in the Tigress ad. The Cybill one sounds like John Pleshette from Knots Landing. John did another ad for Foster Grant with Cybill. Now picture him yelling Laura.....LOL

I think it is Dave Madden who was Reuben on The Partridge Family and Alice.
