@Diongave me this excellent description on this thread a few months back: John actually is the real Forrest, it's just that he was adopted by the Alamains rather than being their biological child. Who they adopted him from keeps changing though lol. I think currently we are meant to believe that John's father Yo Ling, formerly Timothy Robicheaux, who escaped to China during the Korean War formed some sort of communist alliance with Petrov, found out John had been adopted by the Alamains and reclaimed him so the Alamains (or maybe just Philomena) let him take John and faked his death in the pool. And John was brainwashed at some private school before Petrov betrayed Yo Ling and took John to Stefano. I love bitchy Marlena!!

Do we think Dex is going to be related to somebody or is someone's long lost kid? I haven't read any spoilers. Maybe he's Mac's? Him and Felicia were having that weird conversation about kids.

I loved Scandal so much. I know it went off the rails toward the end and if I never hear the words B6-13 again in my life I will be happy, but those first couple of seasons were amazing!! Olivia Pope is the greatest! I think Melissa has grown a lot. I hope she tells it like is and doesn't speak to Julie for another 20 years lol. So far I like this show more than the previous two reunion seasons, but the focus on Julie is very annoying. She's getting the most screen time by being an absolute idiot.

There is a huge difference between getting drunk and falling flat on your face and running into a tree and throwing up. That's sloppy, black out and dangerously drunk. I doubt Julie remembers a thing about that night and was trying to make excuses to her husband for when it does air. I want Melissa and everyone to go off on her, but I feel like she's not even worth anyone's time or energy. Julie is just delusional and no one is going to change her mind I feel like. I think Julie probably would have made a big deal about even if Jamie did it. She wants to be a victim and make everything about her regardless. Julie doesn't think she is racist and didn't take into consideration the repercussions of saying that about the black man who was the only one who stepped up and helped her. Julie is definitely one of those women who says she is not racist because she has a black and a gay friend. At this point I would rather have an entire episode of boring ass Jamie/Matt/Kelly sitting in the house over anymore screen time for Julie.

No I was being stupid lol. I was watching today while still finishing up some work and thought I was a total idiot for thinking that thy were at the Horton cabin for days, but at Ben's instead. I would say I should pay better attention, but it's Days so I probably will not lol. Haven't a number of characters given birth at that cabin or just Marlena? I feel like characters have gotten trapped there in several precarious situations over the years...

Why is everyone being so dumb? The Horton Cabin is an obvious place for Allie/Ciara to be-outside of Ben/Ciara's fire cabin it's like the first place I would look. I thought they were at Ben's cabin when he ran out, but nope, at the Horton Cabin lol. Damn, Ciara had that baby in about 2 scenes. Lucky girl. Fastest labor ever! Glad Eli was awake/Lamon is back. Maybe that story can start moving.

GH's cast is so enormous I don't blame you. I am a frequent watcher (not everyday) and some times even I am like who is this person? It doesn't help ME and RH are on their third or fourth character either lol. I'd be interested to see where Skye/Lila Rae are now I suppose, but the majority of her main screen partners are long gone. I just GH having a lot of women in a certain age that fill roles Skye could at this point.

@Antoyne@Cheap21I am not hating on people that love Skye. I thought everyone loved her and I was the oddball that disliked her. RC's stanning is intense. She was always robbed of this or that and I always thought not really? She got pairings, she got to be an insta Q, she had stories and she never fit on GH and overall RC had a long soap career. Did RC deserve to win the emmy that year? Maybe. I think Vanessa's win was flimsy at best and sort of a reward for being super popular. I can't recall everyone elses work that was nominated because they all were really good actresses IIRC. It's not really a Skye vs. Brenda thing either. That's about 5 months of both their years long soap careers. Regardless, she never ate any show she was on, but I do think she was heavily pushed on OLTL and GH for reason I can't discern. And I know I am opening myself up to Vanessa Marcil/Brenda were hyped to the high heavens comments and that is true as well. I get that. But at least she was a GH character with a huge fanbase behind her. That's JMO and I honestly wouldn't be mad at Skye/RC returning to soaps or GH.

it was a lot. I didn't mind obviously. It didn't seem to negatively effect the show the way her 2010 return did when she was on much less, but everyone was talking about her. I don't really have any qualms about her 2002-03 return. It was crappy for Jax/Brenda fans, but it gave the show the boost it needed at the time and Brenda wasn't the weird, weepy victim she was last time we saw her. Idk, in 2002 a lot of characters were involved with Brenda and her various stories and it felt more organic. In hindsight, they should have used Brenda a lot less in hopes of not burning out VM and keeping her. Maybe? Skye had a long history of sabotaging herself though. Skye/Jax isn't a bad pairing. It got weirdly accelerated for Brenda's return. Those two weren't even on steady ground much less ready for marriage. If anyone was decimated for Brenda it was Jax in that story. That's probably the best story/work RC got in her entire run on GH. I don't think it ruined her, but YMMV on that. I always thought like Jax looked the worst. Dumping Skye after a few minutes of marriage then dumping Brenda at the altar. Sure, Skye went off the rails, but there was still a sympathy factor for her IMO>

Absolutely. Brenda was on everyday except for one in her 6 months on the show. Hating Brenda doesn't make Skye a good character or fit for GH though lol. I did think RC/VM played off each other well and RC was lucky to be involved in that story because it gave her good material.

Yeah, as much as I dislike Ben/Ciara I think both of them are decent actors. They have great chemistry and are certainly beautiful. It's Ben's backstory and the writing that lets them down more often than not. I don't think it's RSW or VK's faults.

I don't think RSW is that bad of an actor. I guess I am alone in this. Ben is stupid. Ciara/Ben are stupid, but I don't think RSW's acting is really the problem. I don't think he's Brando or anything, but I don't think he's much worse than anyone else. He's certainly better than Mr. Boatman.

This I would agree with. My RC/Skye dislike aside I would take her over half the cast at the point. She could easily have fit in the Nina role. It's too bad she and MB don't get along. For some reason I always thought Skye/Sonny would be a good pairing.

I can't even start on that Tin Man nonsense. Sex in a cave going through Withdrawals and a dead body? Hot (It was kind of hot). Brenda was arrested for Dorman's murder? She talked to him like once in her life. Origami gum rappers are always threatening. It got really weird after Guza left. But the Rivera revenge angle was a good idea. It just got weirdly jumbled

I am just going to boldly say none of those parts would be right for her. Acting wasn't right for her. But you cut Guza out to quick There was clink boom. Whether he wrote it or not it didn't stall out to after he left and then we got the tin man [!@#$%^&*]. Eyebrows aside she might be the coldest actress ever. She generates mild chemistry with her love interests, but she's literally no match with her peers on that.

Do you not remember Brenda stealing their letters and reading them aloud? Because that was a [!@#$%^&*] chore. No wonder she banged Sonny the first chance she got. He wasn't as wordy... RC is just a choice to bring back. I wouldn't hate an adult Lila rae.

I literally have no idea who signed off on Leslie Horan. Was Mark Teschner on vacation? Did they even test her with Ingo? VM was chewing her up and spitting her out everyday, but I did think LH had some chemistry with Maurice which is weird. There was just a lot of literal white horses, poems, and overwrought bullshit with Jax/Miranda and I think they were like 18 and knew one another for five minutes. RC isn't that great, she is a cold actress, and without JFP she'd be nothing... I feel so free saying that. VM deserves her emmy on a lifetime of being awesome not so much her 4 months of work in that situation. And also she's a lead not supporting. I don't get the emmys.

Why has no one told me about this false RC/Skye love? I have spent years barely saying I disliked Skye because of this. And I know, I know, Vanessa stole her emmy**** and so on and so forth, but like if she was that awesome wouldn't she have won another? It's not like her career was brief.. ****don't want to incite an argument about Vanessa's emmy win. I get it....

I think the botching of the casting of that was more at fault than anything. Leslie Horan always looked bored. It wasn't a bad idea but Miranda never felt like a legit rival against Vanessa marcil's 1996 energy. Even Lilly Melgar had more fire. LH didn't have the chem with Ingo and it just didn't take. They had a ton of ideas for Miranda that were immediately cancelled. I am surprised they never recast and brought her back though. Again, with the LInda Dano IDEA it was poor form to build another huge arc on a great character on a cancelled soap. Just saying that doesn't make a great deal of sense on ANOTHER network

Brenda agrees with you lol. ABC could have used about a million different people across age ranges to make this happen without being gimmicky? Robin Scorpio, anyone? This was just a bizarre choice with an actress popular on a defunct soap on another network. Weird.. Genie feels perfect for me as well.... It's a cool idea that was executed with the worst possible choices. The thing is Brenda/Sonny made him, but no one really wanted to develop on that? I don't think Ingo is a bad actor or Jax is a bad character from the outside. Personality of the actor aside. He's just someone who desperately needs a good female lead to keep him going and it's the shows fault that he kept being put in with women in Sonny's orbit. It's cute once, but it shouldn't be a weird, stalker pattern

I wish I knew you back then when everyone was like poor, poor Skye. She had a decent trajectory going with the Brenda returns story until she became completely unlikeable and actually evil. But I will always love this The amount of words skye uses to call Brenda a whore is fantastic!!

Damn! Can you @Khan and I unite in our anti-Skye feelings? I always thought RC/Skye was loved everywhere and deserved all the stories and all the emmys and was wasted on every show from what I heard online. She's very good, but she's not the be all and end of soaps and was given a lot of oppurtunity to be.

I think Skye fit on AMC fine, but the weird parade on all soaps only to land on GH was a poor choice. If they were going to do this weird experiment across all ABC soaps they should have chosen characters that had a stronger fan base. The idea of Linda dano/Rae running across states and soap towns to find her daughter and the father of her daughter is just not a good plan. The idea is interesting, but the execution was not. I don't know I still stand by RC being a strong supporting actress, but never a lead.
