  1. Oh definitely. I think there is a big difference between liking his writing and admiring his hustle to make his dream happen. Good for him! He is getting lots of work and at the end of the day it doesn't matter if I think he's a hack lol. I have to say I did like a lot of his work on Daytime Confidential though.
  2. I don't like him or his writing, but I would have to agree it's pretty remarkable he went from Daytime Confidential to actually writing soaps.
  3. I can't stand Violet. I can't stand the actress. I know she's a child and I am an awful person, but I hope Hayden somehow gains full custody so I don't have to see her again. I don't mind Charlotte as much, but no GH kids except James/Georgie act like normal kids. Violet and Charlotte do use the most antiquated expressions lol.
  4. I don't exactly mind it either. I just think Alexis, of all people, would fight harder to get back to the law and her passion. They have explained it a bit on screen, but it feels slightly out of character for her to just drop the entire career she built her entire life on. Also it makes Diane more relevant. Lol. Agreed. I remember her in 2010 telling Sonny it was bad optics to date/marry Brenda because of her involvement with the Balkan. Which might have been true? But also, 100% worse for Brenda to date Sonny because of everything he did in the past 25 years. She sucks and is a hater!
  5. Yup. All I am saying is everyone can hate the mob/Sonny/Jason/whoever. That's a valid human response. But when she is charging double as she says most times when the case is tough she should shut it. Diane might be a fantastic lawyer, but I am sure Sonny could find a more silent one that isn't as judgey. Her exasperation about doing her job that she signed up for really bugs me.
  6. I have serious issues with Diane that I have explained in detail but will again lol. Outside of her RIDICULOUS Robert romance. I haven't liked her for years. I couldn't stand her shaming Sonny/Jason all the time. They deserve it, but not while this women was actively defending them and taking their money. Not to even mention she was dating her own mob flunkie in Max for years. This woman is the epitome of hypocrisy. Yeah. I keep waiting for Alexis to get her law license back but it doesn't seem to be in the writers heads.
  7. Trina, Joss, and Spencer seem more sophisticated than him. That's why I could see him bonding with a similarly confused Esme. Not romantically. I don't really want that, but find a common bond and then Adam is around more people. Perhaps he starts getting attached to Esme and other people notice in her life-it brings a lot of characters potentially to the fold. No one needs to be obsessed or around Joss except Dex. At this point she's starting to remind me of JMB's Lulu where like 4 guys were obsessed with her at once.
  8. Nope. I have never seen any sort of payment device/register situation. You can get them for your phone, but they seem to give these pastries away for free a lot. Maybe they are old or something and Chanel just wants to get rid of them lol.
  9. Right? They built a temporary kitchen set a while back. I don't see why they can't figure the bakery out a little bit better. There's no logical sense for Chanel to be outside when she has an entire store inside. No one wants freezing pastries.
  10. Yeah, I am okay with that. It makes the pool of talent much wider. It was still a little lopsided when you had Heather Tom and Sarah J. Brown against Camryn Grimes, but I think it gives the Emmys a chance to include a lot more actors.
  11. Anyway, on to the show today. AZ continues to kill it. She is just so good. DF is doing great too. Holly continues to charm me even if this entire plan is stupid. Why on earth is Chanel selling baked goods outside in December? The little plastic table set up has always been silly, but that makes no sense. I enjoyed the show today. Much improved from yesterday. Even Leo/Dmitri didn't bother me that much.
  12. I don't think VG was intentionally cheating, but technically she was. I don't think VG hatched a plan to steal emmys from young children or anything. She was ineligible, she dropped out, not harm no foul here-except on her team that didn't clarify the rules perhaps. As far as Eden, I didn't even know there was an issue with her age at all. Interesting. I just thought she made the cut off barely and took the easiest route to an Emmy. I just don't think it's an impressive win when she's competing against children that don't appear very often. There has to be some way to make this category a little more fair. There's a huge difference between kids that appear sporadically and an actress that's been the younger lead on GH since she was about 13 lol.
  13. I mean, Victoria Grace was actually proven to be cheating lol. I just think it's a little phoney when a character that's practically a lead like Eden is going into a kid's category because she can. And I will say my Queen Vanessa Marcil and Steve Burton did it too in supporting when they were both clearly leads. It's equal oppurtunity here. Listen the maid gets paid for cleaning the sheets not the couch! She didn't even pick Theresa's sweats off the floor! She doesn't have to dust or do dishes. This maid is living the good life. If John and Steve weren't drunk they could have used their PI skills to figure this out! But let's just ask our buddy Shane-leader of a world criminal defense agency-to handle this petty crime!
  14. Not speaking for @AbcNbc247, but I think it has to do with the fact that Eden is legitimately in the age range, but barely, and competing against children. While her acting peers like Nick Chavez are entering in the supporting category (although he obviously couldn't enter "younger"). It's not cheating really, but I do think she fits more in the supporting category than younger as well. Anyway, today's show was boring. Stephanie has this weird habit of referring to her cousins Gwen and Abby as my "Cousin Gwen or Abby" while talking to Chad. While that's fine to people who might not know the connection-I am pretty sure Chad knows the familial relationship between everyone here lol. I don't know if I am explaining it right but Stephanie tends to overexplain how she's related to people in conversations all the time. I am not sure if it's her writing. I just don't recall other characters doing that as much. I am glad no one is actually paying John/Steve for this case. I don't know if I would want my hired PI's doing a bunch of casework while they were drinking 😂 Also, Poor Shane. Everyone just asks him for favors now. He probably can't even get his real job done. Being Alex's housekeeper sounds like an easy job. While I don't want to clean anyone's dirty sheets throwing them in the washer and not having to do anything else sounds like an easy money maker.
  15. Agreed. It's really hard to invest in Adam when he only interacts with Joss. This seems like it's going to be a heavy story and I find it hard to get into it when I don't really know much about the character or how he would fit on the canvas. It's just an excuse to make Joss the hero and the show already knocks us over the head with how awesome Joss is. I know I am going to regret saying this, but even if he became Esme's friend somehow thus interacting with Spencer and Trina even Kevin/Laura and everyone starts to see signs he was acting erratically it would help.
  16. I have the same feeling, but it could just be an overall mental health story without suicidal issues. I also am unclear if he's taking prescribed medicine or drugs. I'll be honest sometimes I tune out a little to this story especially if Joss is around.
  17. I don't mind how the show pivoted Alexis to the newspaper, but I prefer her as a lawyer. And one more lawyer in town means maybe we can possibly get rid of Diane? I think Mo's son is okay, but this is too much of a story for him. Plus, Joss doesn't need MORE to do. Trina, Joss, Spencer already have plenty to do. This is just a weird side story. Adam is just not that close to Joss (thanks for his name lol). If he was, say, Cameron's roomate and Cameron was in this story it would make more sense. This reeks of nepotism if you ask me and I honestly don't think Mo's son is awful or anything. There just really isn't a good reason for this story.
  18. I haven't watched today's show and have to watch later, but I'll give my thoughts then. @j swiftSpoilers for next week indicate Stephanie/Jada will hang out. I wish they would add Sarah to the group. She's in serious need of friends too.
  19. I always got the impression BB was pissed and thought she was ungrateful. I can't recall if I have ever heard Deidre talk about it one way or the other.
  20. Since Jack and Jenn lost the Spectator in such an awful way I am happy to believe they are living their best lives in Boston with a successful paper.
  21. I think Marlena served a few purposes-one of course being a love interest to Don which started right at the jump. I do think her similarities to Laura on paper make me think there was an ulterior plan. But I am no expert and have only seen Marlena's entry scenes edits so I could be entirely off. It could have absolutely been just a plot point for Mickey and it became bigger in hindsight because Marlena became the new leading lady. I appreciate your perspective. Thanks! I was just saying I don't think a story like that would have been entirely off for that time period on Days. I don't know if it would have been popular with the audience. I could just see it working.
  22. Yeah, that definitely could have worked if Corday put the effort in. I just think JER liked the idea, history, and relationships Laura had, but wanted to mold an entirely different character. I also think it was purposeful to go younger especially with the Jack story. I would have love to see SF plays those scenes though.
  23. I mean, Mickey was presumed dead in the early 80's and the Brooke/Stephanie story also happen in the late 70's/early 80's. I don't think it's out of the box for Days to do a story where Laura was presumed dead and came back a few years later. That probably would have spoiled us though for any recast in the future.
  24. Interesting. I am sure you're right, but was there ever talks of replacing Marlena when Deidre left in 86? I am curious if anyone knows if that was thrown out there. They teased her coming back so much. Sorry slightly off the topic being discussed.
