If they had to keep RSW I have no idea why they just didn't keep him as Ben. Ciara and Ben could still have their happy ending, but we just see Ben a lot more. VK can film her usual few weeks and Days can just spread out her appearances and say she's off visiting Bo a lot. Sonny and Will did it for months. Maggie is still married to Victor and in stories without Victor being in her scenes. Now, I have no idea where you go with Ben as a character, but it seems a heck of a lot easier than creating an entirely new annoying character for him and just hope the audience likes the character and doesn't think it's extremely jarring. It's been months and pretty much everyone on this board agrees Alex sucks. If I were Days I would just quietly cut my losses and fire RSW or bring Ben back. Obviously we wouldn't see these changes until 2025, but it would be nice to know it was coming.

I don't think Sami approves of or even likes Kate. Sami has genuinely always been against it. It's easy to ignore when she's not around. I think the show just really likes to hang on to the John/Sami rivalry and plays it up. I also think you can put a lot of it on John being part of Sami's childhood trauma and she in particular likes to blame all her bad choices on that. I think the show cares a lot more about John/Marlena vs. Roman/Kate. Not Kate, the shows seems invested in Kate, but just Roman in general. I don't personally think Roman ever gets a strong point of view on Kate's misdeeds or much of anything lol. I have often thought it was incredibly rude John/Marlena have date nights and anniversaries at the Pub as well. I know bygones and all, but seriously? I actually don't mind Kate/Roman either though.

I actually am shocked someone like Kate would put up with Chowder and a room above the Pub. Although I will say I really like Clam Chowder, so I am not judging. I don't ever think Roman was exactly the best choice to run the Pub, but it's just by default I suppose. Someone like Kim would work a lot better.

Seriously. It's cringey. I am sure he meant well, but sharing things like she was 30 when she played a 16 year in awkward lol? 😂 And on the GH Facebook Fan Page? The most down to earth, clear headed GH place on the internet. If this "permanent" Molly is playing Molly in a year from now I will be shocked. It's funny though because did anyone really even care about Molly before HP's issues and these recasts? I didn't.

That all sounds correct to me. I just don't know if Raines was originally Faye's maiden name or the actual last name of the Walker clan before retcons. It would make more sense to me that Nicole changed her name than Taylor because Taylor wasn't embarrassed about her upbringing and was okay doing a working class cleaning job but then Lucas made her a model too I think. So I think Raines might have been the original last name when the characters were dreamt up and evolved into something else when they decided to cast Faye, Brandon, Paul since Taylor was long gone and mostly forgotten by then. I honestly don't remember though, but I definitely don't think the name Mendez was mentioned until much later.

Basically half the posts on this very thread and every GH monthly thread are answering which 10 cast members we'd cut....... If I were BAS and her family I would probably steer clear of things like twitter and GH Facebook. She's very "youthful" in real life though. 😂 Poor guy trying to defend his sister on GH Facebook of all reasonable places.

I like to think people like Marlena or Hope secretly hate it and are resentful they had to pretend to like it for so many years😂

So, honestly, I have never been sure why KeMo didn't play Livvie in the first place. I know there are a ton of things that had to be explained away, but it couldn't be any worse than Sam's actual backstory. I assume Guza/Frons just wanted to distance themselves from that failed soap. For Ron to try to tie it all back together a decade later just seems like a recipe for failure. You've lost any momentum you possibly had from PC.

I was just a casual viewer of PC, although I had a pretty solid knowledge of who was who and what not. I was just really confused by it all. You explained it pretty well, but I absolutely could not tell you what the hell I watched back then. The idea isn't bad honestly-I just think there were so many loose ends to explain it actually just spiraled out of control. Listen, I don't like the choice of Heather being Esme's mom. It really doesn't make sense. Heather has become this super villian that's been everywhere. Rachel Locke works for me. And you know, if one day Kelly Monaco just said she was playing Livvie instead of Sam one day I don't think it would make any difference. They absolutely should not pair Zoe Ward with Michael at this point, but in 2011 it wasn't the worst idea. I don't remember if Serena said that. It's possible.

When Maya was cast there were rumors and maybe even interviews about the intention to cast her sister Zoe and pair her with Michael. I would say this was around 2011 ish. I think Zoe was even mentioned on the show, but she never materialized and the Wards faded back into obscurity once Mya left. When Lucy first came back I think I do remember them mentioning her kids. I just honestly don't remember them mentioning her in the last several years. So Livvie potentially still exists? Interesting. I don't remember Duke/Lucy at all. I do remember Luke/Anna unfortunately

I would love for Zoe Ward to finally appear. Were those rumors she was coming ever real or just online fan fiction? I remember hearing about her for at least a year and she was going to be paired with Michael. Obviously, don't pair her with Michael now, but I thought Maya was a big dud. I am sure she could be rebooted, but AI's Maya was extremely boring. As far as Christina (Lucy daughter) does the show ever mention her? I get confused at what part of PC was/is cannon. I know she still exists but does GH acknowledge her ever? With Lucy, it seems like some of her history stays in character, but things like her relationship with Kevin are barely mentioned.

I was definitely thinking of Justin Cooper. It's been so long since I have even heard the name Justin Torkildsen lol. Does he still act? I was thinking younger like Zach Tinker or something.

Lol! I just browsed the website and everything appears to be sold out. The handbags look nice, I am impressed he made and sewed them himself and he's married to slutty Maxie Danica Stewart. I honestly don't remember him at all as Lucas, so I guess I should ask what the kid from "Liar, Liar" is doing now. He's the last option left.

That's fair. I can't see Dante with BLQ after that weird rapey stuff with AL's version. I would absolutely invest in new 20 to 30 something leads because Sasha, Maxie, Willow, etc aren't it. How many kids can we give them? Maybe Kate's Kristina will help start a better generation although everyone's sole focus in life on GH is to procreate, so probably not.

She might be interesting with Curtis (I use that term loosely because it's Curtis). I'd probably try with Cody or Dante. I just see her with a cop/detective like guy for some reason. I could be onboard with Emma being a vixen. It would be unexpected at least. I don't actual know if I would keep Esme. She's very Nelle 2.0 to me and while the actress is talented I don't know if she has the potential to be a long term villian. Probably, but I am just pretty neutral on Esme. I don't think she's anything special at all. @Vee you know I think Charlotte/Violet are the same person so they can obviously both go. Dante/Sam have like 3 kids in that penthouse, but Spinelli used to have to sleep in the weight room. Maybe all the kids sleep in Brenda's pink room or something. I don't bake or cook, so that probably is what GH is thinking. The only baker I know is Cake Boss and he's a straight guy lol. It would be nice if RC could return for Bobbie's funeral and then maybe the role being recast after that. It's strange they never brought RB as Hayden after CM was cast. I am not advocating a Rylee reunion, but it seems like a place FV would immediately go.

It really feels natural to make Jake the base of the teen scene actually. After all the crap with him dying/not dying his life story should be pretty important at this point. I know you have mentioned HW being really good before and I do agree with that, but he's so rarely used I forget him. It's ridiculous the show spends so much time on people that have no history when you could easily use actual characters and their kids in ways we care about. I would add Emma into this mix as well. It might make it a little female heavy with Lila Rae in the hypothetical teen set though. I would also send all Maxie, Dante/Lulu, and Sam's kids off to boarding school and deal with that later. Sonny's identical little girls too. And get rid of that lisping Violet kid ASAP.

Lol! The fact that Aiden is implied to be gay because he liked to bake is the silliest thing ever. Is that even a stereotype? I know baking is really hard and it generally implies you are good at math to get the measurements correct but cupcakes don't=gay to me. Dev was a really weird situation. It's so strange they liked the actor so much they kept him on, but then dropped him without really delving into anything the show was hinting at. Something must have been scrapped or some casting fell through. I do actually wonder if they were toying with making Sonny/Brenda's kid. Anyhow, I still struggle with what audience Disney-ABC is going for. I am not exactly their target audience anymore (but I am of viable age to play Molly lol) and it just seems unrealistic that teenagers in 2023 don't know even a bi character. I guess I should be happy they let Trina hang out with Joss and date Spencer. I am going to be honest, I don't exactly remember the guy that played Lucas after Ryan Carnes? Is he too busy to come back because I think that would probably be the best.

I enjoyed Jackson for sure. I just think at some point I draw the line. I can see how David Hayward would work on the cast, for example, but I would be pissed if that was a hire over Brenda or Lucky or Lulu. If we ever get through that crazy logjam of kids that are the exact same age on this show I could see Aiden/Danny as a couple. I would place Alec at Joss's age. It has to be the rivalry between them. I would even say hook Joss/Alec up if he's straight or bi, but I don't wish Joss on anyone especially my favorite character's son. I actually don't understand why GH has so few gay or bi characters. It's unbelievable dated that none of these kids in the Joss age range know a single character part of the LGBTQ community. Isn't Lucas technically on the canvas off screen? Like there's an actor that plays him when Lucas is deigned to be brought out of the closet?

Listen, I hope after BAS runs her course at GH she lives her best life on Hallmark TV. She looks perfect for those romcoms. Pretty, busy single mom of 2 fits her a lot better lol. I like your idea of tying Skye to the deceptor. As I have stated before, I am not the biggest fan of bringing AMC/OLTL peeps to GH. I feel like GH has a lot of their own characters to bring back (side eye at Lucky). I would make Lila Rae around Joss/Trina's age, but keep her a lovable vixen and not a psycho like Esme. I would also bring back Brenda's son and make him gay. I think @Vee suggested that and I like that idea.

Yeah, that's the initial post I was replying to. It's funny to a point and I love a good meme, but I do have a modicum of taste and don't want BAS to become a Kardashian because a bunch of people on the internet think she's too old for a part on a soap. From past experience I don't think the fi-core stuff will be bad on GH just nothing will happen. That's seem to be the case in recent years. Stories just stall a lot. Who would you cast as Lila rae? I would love for her to blow into town a spoiled princess ala Brenda and mix it up with Cam.

Yeah, the obvious answer is to replace Smith or rest Molly. I have said more than enough about the whole Molly thing. It is what it is. I just thought suggesting BAS needs surgery to look younger....is not the right solution. She never should have been set up to be in this position in the first place. Idk, I know I am part of the problem, but I am truly starting to feel bad for her now. The internet is (sometimes hilariously) roasting her and BAS probably did not know Molly was previously played by a 25 year when she took the job. I am being THAT person and a hypocrite, but I highly doubt we'd be making jokes about TJ if he was recast with a 39 year old actor. So anyway, want to talk about GT as Skye again? Lol..

Kate Mansi doesn't look super young, but the way she acts and her style feels young to me if that makes sense. I thought she played much younger than Marci Miller on Days too even though she's older IRL. The Taggert story is super interesting to me, but Curtis gets so much more focus. I feel a connection to RA and Taggert because I watched him as a kid, but nothing to Curtis. I wish they just shift the entire story to Taggert/Portia/Trina and give Curtis/Jordan a happy ending off screen or something. I am actually kind of proud of Maxie for pulling it together for Sasha and getting things done. That's the Maxie I want to see. I thought Joss's bathing suit was adorable today and that's all I have to say about that lol.

I get your point. But being honest Days has been impossible and unbelievable for at least 25 years now. I think the former budget Days had made it seem more glossy and fun, but it was never deep down and gritty to me. It was campy entertainment, but I truly do respect your opinion on it. The early 80's and the early 90's were the most realistic time period for Days, IMO. It just delved into to supercouples and sci fi in between.
