  1. Never had that happen on any device I use. Maybe look around the settings or the settings of any active ad-blocker. I've had instances where ad-blockers... block things in the pages. But not here on SON.
  2. As promised to @Anooj here are MY top 5 worst storylines from the Gold era. I don't claim that these are the actual worst storylines, but what I personally didn't like. I want to say this because in SON people sometimes misunderstand what others mean. And we get into useless arguments. This is just my own pet peeves and nothing more. I still believe 1987-1993 was nearly perfect. 1. Ridge rapes Caroline. We had this bizarre scene in which the creep Ridge waits for Caroline to get nearly unconsciously drunk, stalks her and her husband to their bedroom and sneaks into their room while his brother is downstairs having a snack. He then proceeds to have sex with his sister in law, all while she thinks that is her husband. Sick and perverted. Destroyed a bunch of characters. Stephanie hiding this from Thorne was not cute too. But... we all know Stephanie always prefers Ridge and favoritizes him. 2. Thorne shoots Ridge. It was a storyline that followed and came out of the disgusting point 1. A lot of people appreciate and like this storyline, but I think it was too long, too depressing and dreary at times and quite frankly the aftermath (hiding who did it) was boring. Stephanie going to jail for a quick second was fun, but the annoying detective that was repeating the same question every day, nearly made me stop watching. That is the most boring Bill Bell period I recall. 3. Margo's brother Jake and his uncle molesting him. Too disturbing, dark, repetitive, unbearable at times. And it went on and on and on and on. I hated it. We weren't that invested in Jake to begin with... He came out of nowhere and his storylines were always so depressing. He just sucked the air out of every scene he was in. I was so happy to let him go when he was written out. I was counting the episodes. 4. Macy cheating on Thorne with Jake. It was such a stupid storyline. Made no sense to me. Macy was so in love and obsessed with Thorne and an soon as they were together... She had an affair with Jake. A stupid, idiotic, boring affair. And they had absolutely no chemistry. It felt so wrong. 5. Kristen and Mick Savage. It was unbearable to me and I didn't buy it at all. Kristen had so much more potential with Clarke, so putting her in this absurd triangle with Macy and Mick was not my cup of tea. I despised Mick. He was not charming or interesting to me. Just a creep.
  3. The episodes we watched last night (didn't have time to post here) were November 8 and 9 1988. We had Iris already beginning to exploit her new role in the company. Her scene with Felicia Gallant was marvelous. Iris is trying to turn the company upside down and has something negative to say about everything. Just imagine having to work for a person like that. Utter madness. Felicia gave her more grace than she deserved. Told her she's going to think about the remarks Iris gave her draft. Rachel warned Felicia before the meeting and told her she should treat Iris as if she an amateur. But Felicia actually listened. Other highlights. Iris found out she is not the only sponsor in Evan the gigolo's life (that's what I'll call him even though he is not an official one). The hatred she was staring at that other woman was hilarious. She was also invited to dinner with Donna and Michael Hudson (who were anxiously waiting to hear about the adoption) and gave Michael the ****-me look again. Donna better watch out for her newfound friend. She's dangerous. Speaking of Michael, he had a beautiful scene where he told Vicky that as much as she wants Jamie, she doesn't really need him. That she's going to have all the support from her family. If all fathers could be like that. ❤️ But the thing is Vicky does want Jamie. Anne Heche gave quite the performance in a monologue in which Victoria was talking to her unborn child, promising to it that she's going to find a way to make Jamie love her. I teared up. That scene is the last few minutes of this episode. Overall : 10/10. Tension is rising... The dialogue is more sharp than ever... Things are really starting to move and evolve.
  4. The only sad aspect of that 2005 story was that it was too short. Stephanie hid that fake heart attack for just a month. Breacon continued for months and months of storyline and the fake heart attack was very very fast and sweet. But I loved it too. The confrontation scene was and remains one of the top 3 scenes in the shows history.
  5. And I think for every right thing Brooke does... She should be rewarded one scandal. So... She did a good deed, give her Finn to play now. 😈
  6. What is Taylee going to break now to get Ridge's attention? 🤣🤣🤣
  7. Hope should have learned from Bridget. The SFTV always picks men before her children. That's who she is. She will sell her soul to the Devil to not lose Ridge to Sickly Taylee. I loved it. Classic Brooke. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  8. 60 pages in. So far... Very nice, has the potential to become spectacular.

  10. Men who lower their voice to sound extra-macho and "manly", when it's quite obvious they are struggling to keep talking in this unnatural way... make me cringe.
  11. It was disgusting. And one of the reasons (there are many) why the character of Ridge should be written off... He also raped Brooke while she was heavily drugged and very much in love with Nick.
  12. Woof... You are hitting the nail on the head again. But let me think about it tonight and I'll come up with my top 5 worst Bill Bell storylines. It's a great challenge 😜 I have some that are very different from yours and some that will surprise you since I think people liked them. I will give a spoiler right now - Ridge basically raping drunk Caroline who was married to Thorne at the time, slipping into her bed at night. The rest later when I have more time... ❤️
  13. Has anyone read The Partner by John Grisham? I want to buy it... It sound very interesting.
  14. I'm so glad my sharing of the experience has a positive effect.🙏 I had a second guess moment where I was telling myself I'm probably boring you guys to sleep with my commentary. 🤣 Happy it's not the case. And can't wait to continue tomorrow.
  15. It's becoming one of my favorite storylines I've watched in soap operas... ever. ❤️

  17. Tonight's episode that we watched... was November 7th 1988. Just one episode, since he was very tired and sleepy. And this is the episode my husband finally knows what the hell is going on. 🤣 It took him 6-7 episodes to get into it completely. And of course, my help and constant monologues about who is who (from the limited knowledge I have)... have done it's job. He's a fan. Does he dare... not be... with me in the house? 🤣 The episode is one of the last written by Harding Lemay, just before Donna Swajeski takes over as head writer. The key moments. Iris's takeover scheme is officially in next stage. She's done all the preparation and now it's time for action. She has presented herself as the heroine who can save Daddy's company. The scene between her and Rachel about the future Cory Publishing was sublime - dripping with venom, subtext and smart comebacks. But in the end, sadly, Rachel took the bait. She's agreed to leave the company. Oh, Rachel, Rachel! We had Iris beginning to smell her victory... but she shouldn't be so fast to celebrate... we know that nothing's over till the fat lady sings! Her scene with Daddy was poignant - in his eyes she was still this innocent good-hearted girl... We saw a glimpse of remorse in Iris who realized that if Daddy found out what's doing... that would destroy their relationship. That's the price she will have to pay for all the evil deeds. The episode ended with an iconic moment - Iris taking Rachel's picture down. But we know in soaps... that nothing ends the way it looks like it will. So... we'll see. Overall - 11/10! One of my favorite episodes so far. ef.mp4
