  1. I remember... we saw Sheila's desk with letters on it... so many times and her looking at it with an evil look... and she recorded Mike... basically trying to frame him to look like he and not her did it. I'm pretty sure 99.9 percent it was her. Mike told her to her face that it was not him that wrote it. Sheila was acting so happy after that letter was discovered. She even said to herself - Brooke, you deserve what is coming to you or something similar to that. Me and my husband both have the same recollection that it was her, but she did everything possible to make it seem it was Mike. Maybe I am mistaken, but I don't have time to go and look over the episodes again. Someone tell me if I'm right or wrong.
  2. I would add. - Nobody to this day knows that it was Sheila who wrote a letter on behalf of Brooke, revealing that Bridget is probably Eric and not Ridge's daughter. When the letter was discovered in Brooke's house... Brooke got all the blame and subsequently lost her mind, because everyone thought she's been hiding the true paternity of Bridget for years. It was Sheila all along that did this. Nobody knows that. Brooke's whole life collapsed after this action by Sheila.
  3. 2 more days till my vacation! The Countdown in my mind is... real. And my Christmas spirit is getting higher and higher!
  4. The passive-aggressive misogyny in this show is on another level. The disgusting rape-apologist storyline with the mints and Luna... making out the woman to be the bad one with the unbelievable rewrite... now once again blaming the woman primarily and calling her nasty little bitch. It's so off-putting and disappointing that we are witnessing this level of misogyny on soaps in 2024. I still can't shake the feeling I got when I heard Ridge call... nasty little bitch... the girl he raised as a daughter. The girl that sat on his lap and called him dad. Bradley Bell is hitting new rock bottom.
  5. Amen! We aren't... and part of the soap opera community is one of the smartest people I know in my life.
  6. Stephanie and Clarke only had 2 or 3 kisses. She declined his offer to have an affair. Also Taylor declined Eric to have an affair with her - he tried and tried and tried - as I recall it was 1 kiss or 2. I would not call these 2 situations affairs. And why I'm correcting this. The definition of affair is a sexual relationship between two people, one or both of whom are married to or in a long-term relationship with someone else. The others examples are perfect! Great topic! As usual you are spot on.
  7. Satan works at Deutsche Post.
  8. YEEEEEEEEEEEES. That would have been iconic. My thoughts exactly! I mean... I remember he used to be like her dad. It disturbed me to hear him call her... what he called her. I felt... icky and dirty and as if I've heard something really inappropriate. He was her father figure for years.
  9. Couldn't have said it better. Perfect illustration. I like that even though Iris is the antagonist, they are still giving us these small moments, where we see that she has a heart - moments where she is raw and emotional. It makes her appear much more real and human. I think this is a problem soaps, and shows as a whole have a problem with - the good are too good to a point they are stupid and the bad are comically bad to a point they are so one-dimensional that it becomes cartoonish. Without these moments in the script, Iris would seem just vile. And nothing more. And she would not be as menacing and troubling as she appears when we see that she has a heart too. That way you feel like anyone can become like her if their life and circumstances breed that wickedness in them. Wow, this is giving me sooo much excitement. I'm already excited as is, because I love the show... but knowing that this quality will persist for years ahead... is just like a dream come true. Thank you for telling me this. I really am having fun and I hope I don't bore or annoy you guys with my comments at some point. I am prone to become too excited and AW is kinda becoming my favorite show of all time. ❤️
  10. This is horrifying. I really hope she gets well.

  13. Since the topic was closed for so long and... I missed being able to share about a lot of episodes... and I really don't have the time to go back and review which was which... I'm going to let it go... and continue with where we are right now in our viewing experiment. And hopefully the topic will stay open and not get closed again, so I don't miss being able to share with y'all! Fingers crossed. Today we watched - December 12th 1988! What happened? A LOT. First... Iris managed to detonate one of her bombs in Rachel's life by exposing her contribution to Sam's gallery opening. Sam of course went into a meltdown. Typical male ego. Amanda didn't succeed in calming him down. Oh, Iris and Evan are trying as haaard as possible to break up Amanda and Sam. Will they succeed? I feel Amanda is slipping slightly, being charmed by Bay City's hot unofficial escort - Evan. And Sam is being eyed by Caroline The Flirt (who btw... learned that her mother just died in this episode. Sad for her). Back to the drama - Rachel noticed Iris's strange behavior at the opening, and of course, suspected her of telling Sam... When it moves like Iris, sounds like Iris, smells like Iris - it's Iris! The two had one very powerful scene in which... Rachel struck Iris to the damn core of her soul. She did it so sharply and unexpectedly that even I felt the pain. Great moment. A moment that exposed the true genesis of Iris's wickedness - her deep unhappiness in life and the fact that even her son doesn't want anything to do with her. People like Iris deserve what they get. We also had a parallel storyline of emerging - childhood trauma that is tormenting Felicia Gallant in a beautiful scene, in which she poured her heart out. I teared up a little. Linda Dano gave quite the performance. I adore Felicia Gallant and she reminds me of Joan Crawford... in a way. Not much... but in a way. And last, but not least... we had the slightly annoying-me lately Vicky continuing into her childish quest for Jamie's heart - probably the storyline that is dragging the most and the reason I'm eliminating 1 point from today's rating. The top moment - Iris VS Rachel. Overall - 9/10 - Simply sublime with a small minus. IRIS .mp4

7/10 even though I didn't like certain moments. But it was great overall. I recommend.
  15. I don't think we - you, me... anyone else... mean to offend any fans, Steffy's, Hope's or whoever's. Bradley Bell is doing this for us... every... single... day. He offends every fan base on a rotating basis. That's his hobby. So... continue speaking your mind, it's refreshing to read. I second your idea about RJ taking a stance against Steffy's behavior. It's shocking and unrealistic that he hasn't done so far. They are his two sisters after all. Why wouldn't he? Someone wrote in another board that he was scared of Steffy. Excuse me... Scared of WHAT? Steffy is not some grand dame high and mighty persona or an intimidating bully... so that anyone can fear her. She's toxic and bitter at best and boring and repetitive at worst. She's the ex "show them what you got and you're get what you want in a fishnet" Brooke copy. And these days all she does is bark next to Ridge... how she either hates the Logans or Sheila Carter (the town pizza lady). Every day it's the same barking. It's a wonder how her husband hasn't cheated on her so far. But... I want to say one thing - all through this horrible material they are giving Steffy... JMW is working it... giving her all. Annika too. And I give them a huge praise for that. Both characters are lacking substance. Both actresses are sublime. One thing also... I really struggle to believe that Brooke, who is 60+ year old woman that has married 182 men and given birth in Big Bear 50 times... who once terrorized this family with her scandals, manipulations and stole the entire business through the original takeover... will be working in the hallway (as Carter put it) and be scared to stand up to Steffy. And now Carter is here to defend poor scared Brooke and Hope? Give me a break. Brooke circa 1990-2002 would have chewed and spit Steffy for breakfast and... then revived her to chew her up some more. They declawed Brooke and turned her into the most generic blond character... that only smiles and cries. Bradley - this is not how you are going to get KKL that Emmy. Not with these pathetic scenes. Know that. And a huge problem for all the viewers that have watched more... than the only last few years - for more than a decade it was Steffy written as the vixen-bitch and not Hope. Her current re-write into the moralizing, judgmental biddy that is disgusted by the "slut" Hope... is bizarre to say the least. Steffy has done everything that she blames Hope for... times x 10. The entire conflict is based on empty air and nothing more. It's offensive to people who have watched and remember. I don't think Bradley Bell realizes that we... do. Just because he forgets what he wrote a week ago, doesn't mean we do. Sadly. For us.
  16. Amen. Absolute No. Count me in in the group that is finding it hard to believe R.J would be gone through this. I mean... he's the only one related to nearly everyone in the conflict.
  17. Selfish people are like cancer.
  18. It's disgusting, isn't it? That the woman always gets the blame. So sexist and so chauvinist. And it's so scary to think that.. in this world there are actually women cheering on men (Ridge) calling girls/young women (Hope) - nasty little bitches... I saw plenty of comments online and some of them... women... cheering this behavior on. Imagine it's their daughters some day getting spoken to like that by a man. It's so tacky. I'm not saying Hope is an innocent angel... I'm just saying - in the context of the show right now... and the situation on hand... this is not how it's done. But what can we expect of a character (Ridge) that has raped women twice. (Caroline and Brooke). And a writer that has constantly written women as some kind of demented sexually-starved monsters? It's not that shocking to hear it... in a junk show like Bold, but it's still tacky.
  19. Also the writers have decided to forget that Ridge was a father figure to Hope for years and years... and years. This is just so absurd. Bad, bad writing... that makes me ashamed of how little Bradley Bell knows of human nature. It's 2024 and he's still writing in men calling women nasty little bitches. Whatever... it's just unrealistic. Ridge used to adore Hope back in the day and you do not talk like that to a kid you were a father figure to. You just don't. There is a certain boundary of how an older man should speak to a younger woman and that is just... pushing it into a nasty category. If Brooke continues to stay with this idiot, then she's the bigger idiot. But we all know... she will. Even if we have to watch another breakup. Yawn.
  20. I'm sorry, but... Ridge of all people calling Hope... nasty little bitch... is just... tacky.
