  1. And also the current leadership is driving the hate.
  2. LOL, He's having fun with the Kid N Play throwback. It'll be interesting to hear Rafa's assessment of where he thinks his game is after losing to Thiem in this SF, compared to his SF loss to Fognini in Monte Carlo.
  3. ^^So when is that House Party reboot coming?
  4. And the SFs of Stuttgart is the farthest Osaka has ever gotten at any clay court tournament. In the past, she had never gotten past the 2nd round.
  5. Sadly, this comes as no surprise to me. CBS is no longer the network of Norman Lear shows and hasn't been for some time. It's also very telling that the most diverse and progressive shows are not on the flagship network but put on their All Acce$$ Service. The toxic culture embedded at CBS is pervasive and shows up onscreen in all areas, Primetime and Daytime and has done so for well over a decade.
  6. I still say that ATWT has had more IRL couples than any other daytime soap in recent memory. From the Twitter dialogues-
  7. Remember her?
  8. The most important aspect is the fact that the creators of Cobra Kai knew those original characters, inside and out. They watched and studied those films, especially the first one. It's not like soaps where any old hack who has never even watched the show then proceeds to 'write' for the show (I'm looking at you, Hogan Sheffer! ). The Cobra Kai creators took the time to learn all there was to know about the original Karate Kid movie's premise and built a strong foundation from that.
  9. Their social media and promotion is really on point. Nobody can tell me that it's impossible to take a show or movie whose heyday was decades ago and make it relevant. It's always possible with a great premise.
  10. Bernie Bros are probably sharpening their insults and innuendo as this announcement makes the rounds.
  11. When I went to watch the first episode of Season 2 yesterday, there were already over 4 million views!
  12. Billy Magnussen (ATWT) continues to get a lot of work in many places.
  13. If it were Serena, there'd probably be a security guard waiting to escort her off the court. Afterwards the "hot-takes" and press coverage would be endless. If it were Nick, they'd probably bring out the truncheons. More endless coverage. Outside social media, I've heard nothing more about Cirstea (reminiscent of Pliskova's post-match battering of the Umpire's chair). Some of these folks know they've got privilege and they won't be scolded/punished like certain other players.
  14. Remember the Bridgegate scandal with Chris Christie and his cohorts? Sentencing, or re-sentencing for one of his former aides, Bridget Kelly occurred today. Kelly was (re)sentenced to 13 months in prison for her part. She had words afterward.
  15. Last year, FrontlinePBS did a very in-depth investigation inside the KSA and it was brutal. It made for some tough viewing but it was very informative of how oppressive the government is and how brutally dissenters are put down. Under the Trump administration, ties to KSA have become deeply entwined, one could say the two governments are now as 'thick as thieves'. Speaking of Trump, when will folks finally admit that this charlatan is a lousy deal maker?
  16. I was watching a classic episode of Guiding Light from March 1987 and happened to see Victoria Rowell in a commercial for Tide laundry detergent! She had blonde highlights!
  17. I agree. As much as I've come to dislike the BTS events at Y&R, I do plan to try to watch these group of episodes (online, later in the days) out of respect for the work that KSJ did. In interviews, VR said that over the years, KSJ and her both tried to get TPTB to reunite Dru and Neil but were essentially put off and that is a big shame. I even had an idea years ago of how they could bring Dru back but it was obvious Steve Kent et. al had no intention of reuniting one of the show's most popular couples. All such a shame. Oh well, at least we get to see VR participate in honoring her colleague and friend, in some way, it's not ideal but I guess this is all we have now.
  18. Speaking of The Good Fight and former CBS soap stars, if anybody's watching, in Season 3, there is an episode with both Mackenzie Mauzy (Phoebe Forrester, B&B) and Marnie Schulenberg (Alison Stewart #4, ATWT) appearing.
