Yeah, that's really sloppy work on the Biden campaign. As for how much influence Jackson has, I don't know if I could answer that. So many times, it's been said that social media is not real life. So while it likely rings hollow on a great deal of social media where Jackson seems to have little presence, out in the world of retail politics, who knows? This unlikely to move the needle where anyone under the age of 40 is concerned (which is probably closer to anyone under 45, tbh), we have already seen that many "younger" (under 35) voters haven't really been turning out as some expected. The real question is will voters over 50 be swayed? Another question that I cannot rightly think to answer since it will be a few more years until I hit that milestone age.

Sad that this would never have been considered a realistic possibility. So, is Jackson saying that the underlying reason for endorsing Bernie is because Biden didn't ask? Make of this what you will.

And honestly, I think those are likely the only 2 positions that are prominent enough where (many) folks can actually wrap their mind around the concept of a woman, let alone a black woman being in a presidential leadership position.

People can transmit viral infections without even getting sick. That's the thing that no on seems to want to discuss. Some people are carriers but never exhibit symptoms. If you are close enough to be able to smell someone's breath that you can tell what they had for lunch, you are close enough to ingest this particular viral strain. And most health professionals seem to agree that masks don't really help, unless you already have a cold/are sick, in which case, you should not be near others. Still, it's not true that only "sick" people can transmit a virus. One thing at least, is that LAX, according to their mayor, is disinfecting the facilities every hour on the hour. IW should definitely be doing this with the restrooms and food courts and between the day and evening sessions. It's the least the tournament can do.

One of the reasons why I believe every dramatic writer should take at least one acting course. He was a former actor himself and many actors who he had written for always spoke of how well he seemed to understand actors and how to write so as to get the best from them.

This Op-Ed piece discusses what many of us already know about the ridiculously high bar that women candidates face in terms of perceived "electability" but I'm posting this for those who may be unaware and may need it to be spelled out. I do think Cottle fails to examine the intersectional challenges that non-white women candidates may have, as studies have shown that black women, in particular, historically have more difficulty raising funds for their own campaigns (even as they have been shown to be highly effective at raising funds for other candidates, ahem Kamala). Think about the abysmal statistic of how many black women have ever been in the Senate. A prize to anyone who can name even a handful of black women who have ever been elected to the Senate. I'll wait. For a people who have been in the U.S. for over 400 years, that's a statistic that serves as an indictment on this country's electoral system. But I digress. Still worth a read. Anyone who has paid attention to Biden knows that he has mentioned Harris before. Nobody can predict what moves a presumptive nominee will make in terms of choosing a running mate and it would be foolish to try, at this point. How many people would have predicted that Obama would have chosen Biden as his running mate? Hillary as his SOS? To quote the late great screenwriter William Goldman "Nobody knows anything..." Meanwhile the CDC that the current administration is trying to censor, is not allowed to give provide accurate information on the Covid-19 numbers. I'm wondering why more people are not concerned about this?
