I enjoy it too! It's quite entertaining and when she was wiping down damn near everything on that plane, I could relate, LOL!

  2. So sad to hear about Charles Levin. I used to have a crush on him when he played Vera's husband on Alice. He helped make the last few seasons less empty. Sad to know he and Beth Howland are gone now.

Just read about this very sad story.  He was a very talented character actor and television seemed to be the medium that was best suited to his talents.

In regards to the character of Coco on The Golden Girls, from what I read, writers/producers decided that Four was the magic number in terms of characters living in the house and they wanted scenarios where the "Girls" would interact with each other in the house in an organic way and thought that the kitchen, cooking would be an organic way for scenes and dialogue to flow between the four women--if there was a cook, they believed that there might be a slight barrier to those interactions between the four women.

I think the difference between Anthony of DW and Coco is that Anthony never lived in the house, in fact, most of the women on DW didn't live together, which was a big part of the dynamic between the women on GC.

  3. Weren't some of us recently discussing the John Landis Twilight Zone Movie tragedy?  Apparently Eddie Murphy's comments about Landis have resurfaced and are getting a second look.

Oh, the Battle of the Stars done another way, LOL.

Just earlier this week, I was remembering the time I heard about that story Holly Robinson (before she became Peete) told about punching Robin Givens in the face when they were teenagers, LOL.

I'd never read it so it was pretty breathtaking to read that exchange.  People are speculating that "Fruity" was Charlie Murphy.

It's what Kelly deserves.  Hopefully the young ladies who are still under his influenced can be rescued.

Jeffrey Epstein needs to face a similar fate and Weinstein needs to face some serious punishment as well.

I'll admit that I was highly surprised when I heard a remake was being done as I believed a remake to be totally unnecessary.

@All My Shadows Seriously, if SoapClassics could resurrect their website and start streaming P&G classics again, I'd be as happy as a clam!

A good HD antenna will bring in about 30 stations for me, so I'm good with that and a shared Netflix account and some free online TV/movie sites. I can barely keep up with streaming/viewing as it is.

I'd love it if 'grey character' would go completely extinct, although tbh, I think I was the last person to use the term, to deride it, of course. I think it's a nonsense term.  If you're writing a character to the fullest, that character will be complex to begin with--no character should be one-dimensional.

What I don't understand is why are folks still replying and quoting troll.  That goes a long way to keeping him/them engaged.  That troll has tried to bait me by quoting me and I've ignored them.  I feel like if others were truly bothered, they'd do the same but when I often look in threads, that's not what I see.

I'm not sure if unsightly avatars and disagreeable posts on a public forum actually merits banishment though.  I don't engage with them. Yeah, it is kind of sad but it's a public forum, there's always going to be some drawbacks.

Similar style of avatars. Probably using different devices to post but I guess, that is not always easy to prove and perhaps there may be some debate over what constitutes an actual troll. (shrugs).

  16. The Atlantic provides a deep-dive analysis of what likely happened to Malaysian flight MH370 and even though the conclusion made about the pilot was what I suspected from the beginning, it is nonetheless a chilling account.

Yeah, I definitely sense some professional rivalry and defensiveness in that rebuttal post.  Even after reading the first piece, it did occur to me that it seems unlikely that we'll ever truly definitively know what went on in the mind of that pilot, we can only really surmise what could he have been thinking of.

It does seem very...brief, to say the least.  The one aspect that both men appear to agree on is that Malaysian authorities appear to have been less than forthcoming in the aftermath.

The actors are talented but the show is not great. I'm sure Wu feels badly for threatening to mess up her fellow actors' bags.

I've already mentioned how highly conflict many Asian Americans feel about FOTB.  I've had conversations with friends about this from Day 1.  Most don't watch but they also knew that the show's failure might threaten prospects for a better show featuring a Asian American majority cast to get greenlit.  When you're a POC, it's not that difficult to understand where the conflict comes in.  I've said that from the very beginning.
