Cass is in his office when Stacey walks in.
    Cass: Hey sis.
    Stacey: What’s going on?
Cass: You never told me about your visit with Morgan and Brett.
Stacey: Our little brother, wife, nephew and niece are doing fine.
Cass: What about my other niece? Lindsay. Have you talked to her?
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gregory is sitting at a table at the Center when Lindsay approaches him.
Lindsay: I came as soon as I could. Is everything alright?
Gregory (grabbing Lindsay’s hand): I need you.
    Lindsay (sitting down): What’s wrong?
Gregory: I’m concerned about my mom. I think she’s in danger.
Lindsay: I heard about what happened at the Cory’s. Who is your mom in danger from?
    Gregory: My father.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    At the McKinnons...
Jake sits on the couch looking on his tablet at an article that reads: “Rumors of a possible shakeup at Cory Productions”, then he flashes back to Stacey saying to Jake that she’s still in love with him, then Vicky walks in from upstairs.
Vicky: Hey, what’s on your mind? It looks like you’re a million miles away. Come back because I’m expecting a very special visitor.
Someone rings the doorbell. Vicky goes and opens the door to Steven.
    Vicky: Oh! Come here!
    Vicky and Steven embrace.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    At the hospital…
Sharlene/Emma is sleeping while she dreams…
    SHARLENE/EMMA’S DREAM
Sharlene, Emma, and Janice are in the same room together.
Sharlene: Emma I need to come back to my family. You can’t keep me locked away forever.
Emma: Don’t underestimate what I can do. You are not ready to suffer the repercussions of what Janice did.
Janice: You both should be THANKING me!

    PART 2
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stacey: Lindsay’s fine, but I don’t think you made me come down here to talk about my daughter.
Cass: Oh come on, I can’t ask about my family?
Stacey: Christy Carson’s parole hearing is fast approaching isn’t it?
Cass gets up and grabs another law book, sits back down and starts flipping through it.
    Stacey: You’re working very hard.
Cass: You’re damned right. There’s no way she should be granted parole after what she did to us.
Stacey: You and Frankie’s testimony should be enough right?
    Cass: That’s the problem.
    Stacey: I don’t understand.
Cass: Frankie told me that she’s been visiting Christy and corresponding with her through letters. She thinks Christy’s changed.
    Stacey: Oh no.
Cass: That’s exactly how I feel. There’s gotta be something I can find to keep that whack job in prison.
Stacey: Well if Christy is considered a well behaved inmate, then she could go up for parole. The fact that she’s having a hearing means that she’s probably changed somewhat.
Cass: She’s very clever. Christy’s got everybody fooled, including Frankie.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Jake: Come here buddy!
    Jake and Steven hug.
Vicky: You must be hungry. I’m gonna fix you something to eat.
Steven (watching Vicky go to the kitchen): When did mom start cooking?
Jake: About when the girls turned two.
Steven: I’m sorry I missed Michele’s memorial. We skyped all the time. I miss her.
Jake: We all do, so how long you in town for?
    Steven: I’m on an assignment.
Jake: You sound like a spy.
Steven (chuckling): No. Cousin Gregory called me from John’s phone. They need my medical expertise.
Jake: Are you saying that you’re gonna be Sharlene’s therapist?
    Steven nods his head.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lindsay: Why would your father ever hurt your mother?
Gregory: I don’t trust him. He thinks he can get away with...
    Lindsay: Get away with what?
Gregory: I think he’s having an affair with Felicia again.
Lindsay: Are you sure about that?
Gregory: Every time I turn around it seems like I see them together.
Lindsay: That doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re sleeping around. You need concrete evidence.
Gregory: Yeah like you did with that water cup to get Jake’s DNA.
    Lindsay: What?
Gregory: You don’t believe me about my dad and Felicia do you?
Lindsay: That’s not it at all. I just don’t want you to make a mistake.
Gregory: It really sucks that my own girlfriend can’t even support me!
Gregory gets up and walks away and ignores Lindsay’s calls for him.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Janice: Sharlene didn’t have the guts to do what I did. Reginald and Carl got exactly what they deserved! I am the REAL gatekeeper.
Sharlene: That was not the right way to handle things.
Emma: How’s that for a gross misunderstatement?
Janice: Did you have a better idea?
Emma: QUIET! I need to think here.
Sharlene: I’m ready to return Emma. To John, Gregory, Frankie, my friends.
Emma: And I don’t believe you, and I don’t agree with this at all.
    Sharlene: I’m taking over Emma.
Emma: Who am I to stop you? We’re all part of you anyway, but I must warn you...be wary of John.
Sharlene: I love him, and he loves me.
Emma: Those are usually the ones…
    Sharlene: What do you mean?
Emma and Janice start to disappear…
Sharlene: Emma? Come back! Tell me what you meant by that!
Sharlene moans as she begins to wake up and John is right there...
    John: Sharlene? Is that you?

Felicia is in the Center, walking and on her cell phone….
Felicia: Mitch I’m not sure why I’m leaving you a voicemail because you probably won’t check it, but I’ll be home in about twenty minutes. I just stopped at the center to get something, and I’m not going to forget your soup. I love you, bye.
Felicia presses ‘end call’ on her phone and bumps into a woman …
    Felicia: Oh I’m sorry.
Woman: Wait a minute. You look familiar. Felicia Gallant?
Felicia: You must have read one of my books.
Woman: Embers In The Snow. Yes I read it.
Felicia: Thank you. I really appreciate that.
Woman: That’s not how I know you, though.
    Felicia: You don’t know me.
Woman: No, but my father does...Marshall Edward Kramer III.
Felicia: Oh my, that was a long time ago, but I definitely remember him. What’s your name?
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    AT THE HOSPITAL...
Tyrone and Marley are walking together slowly down the 6th floor hall, while nurses and doctors pass them in the opposite direction.
    Marley: I’m nervous.
Tyrone: I think I know why.
    Marley: You do?
Tyrone: The gel they’re gonna put on your stomach is gonna be too cold.
Marley: Come on honey I’m serious. I don’t know what they’re gonna say about the baby.
Tyrone: We’ve been very cautious. You’ve done everything that the doctors have told us to do.
Marley: I’ve taken my prenatal vitamins and getting my rest, but what if something’s still wrong with our child?
Tyrone: Hey hey, we’re not even gonna entertain that. Positive thoughts only.
    Marley (smiling): You’re right.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A SIGN OUTSIDE READS: CAVANAUGH CLINIC
Rachel walks into Carl’s room and sees the doctor tending to Carl.
    Rachel: How is he?
The doctor, whose ID says ‘Lisa McCleary’, turns around and faces Rachel.
    Lisa: So far so good.

    PART 2
Tyrone: See I told you not to worry.
Marley: This little guy is defying all the odds.
    Tyrone: Our warrior.
Marley: Seeing his little hands and feet, and his heartbeat.
Tyrone: See you were all worried for nothing. Positive thoughts. Remember.
Tyrone gets a text on his cell phone.
Tyrone: Oh that’s a reminder for my next appointment at the office.
    Marley: Henrietta Harper?
Tyrone: Yep. Let’s get you home.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    AT THE BLAKE’S…
Felicia walks in with two bags while Mitch struggles to get up from the couch so he can help her.
Felicia: No you stay right there mister. Did you get my voicemail?
Mitch: No. Let me help you with those...ow!
Felicia: If your wound opens back up, I’m gonna make you get yourself to the hospital.
    Mitch: Okay boss lady.
Felicia: Hey I ran into someone at the Center. Do you remember when I told you about Marshall Edward Kramer?
    Mitch: Yep
Felicia: I just met his daughter. The funny thing is that he never mentioned having a child.
    Mitch: What’s her name?
    Felicia: Joy Kramer.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joy is at the Center and she gets a phone call, looks at her phone, and answers.
Joy: Hello? Yes this is Henrietta. I will be there.
Joy flashes back to kissing Tyrone, flashes back to the present, and smiles.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rachel and Lisa sit in Lisa’s office.
Lisa: So you stayed at the Whitney/Saxon hotel last night?
    Rachel: Yes. Very comfortable.
    Lisa: I know the owner.
    Rachel: Raven Whitney?
Lisa: Yep she’s still going strong after all these years, especially after everything that’s happened.
Rachel: Yes I read some years ago about Schuyler Whitney’s passing.
Lisa: Her children help her. These days she’s taking care of her grandkids. Her some Jamey runs the hotel mostly. So what’s new in Bay City? It’s been over twenty five years.
Rachel: Well your Aunt Felicia is re-married.
Lisa: Yes I knooowww. I just couldn’t make the wedding.
Rachel: It’s a good thing you didn’t after what happened to Mitch.
Lisa: I heard that Evan Frame shot him? Wow.
    Rachel: Yes.
    Lisa: And Cory and Elizabeth?
Rachel (smiles): Yes, my wonderful babies. They were nothing short of a miracle.
Lisa: But your mom had a baby late in life right?
Rachel: My sister Nancy. So how are you?
Lisa: I’m great you know. Work and my boys.
Rachel: Are you still living in Henderson?
Lisa: No. I moved here with the kids.
    Rachel: You and Quinn?
Lisa: We have shared custody. They’re living with Quinn for the remainder of the school year.
Rachel: I appreciate you helping my husband.
Lisa: Carl is making excellent progress. The antidote is really helping.
Rachel: Only Matthew and Paulina know that Carl is here. I would appreciate if you didn’t tell anyone.
    Lisa: Of course Rachel.
Rachel: I wouldn’t want your boss to do anything to hurt my husband.

    WINTHROP HOUSE - Cass
    is on his cell phone…
Cass: Frankie it’s me. We have to talk about this. I know things didn’t go the way you wanted them to. Please call me. I’ve had a bit of a change of heart.
Cass turns around and sees Charlie.
    Charlie: About what?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    LOVE MANSION
Donna answers the door and Vicky walks in.
Vicky: You know I am so sick of the both of them. I swear they’re out to destroy my family.
    Donna: Victoria---
Vicky: I caught that little bitch with Bridget. She said “they’re sisters”. I wish Stacey and Lindsay would take the next rocket to Mars and never return!
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    MCKINNON’S HOUSE
    Jake is with Stacey.
Jake: What are you doing here?
Stacey: We didn’t finish our conversation the other day.
Jake: Stacey I can’t do this.
Stacey: I told you that I was still in love with you and never said anything.
Jake: What do you want me to tell you Stacey? That I feel the same way?
    Stacey: Do you?
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mac’s Children are in Iris’s office.
Matthew: Come on Michael, you’re not seriously considering this?
Paulina: She doesn’t have any leverage. Let’s arrange for the hearing and get her out.
Amanda: You can’t let her take Brava from us!
Iris: Michael. The decision is yours.
    Michael paces back and forth…
Matthew: We can’t let Iris have her way.
Amanda: Brava and Cory Productions belongs to us!
Michael: SHUT UP! All of you! You sound like a bunch of whiny little brats!
CAMERA PAN ON MICHAEL...SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Cass: Hey honey.
Charlie: I take it Christy didn’t get parole.
    Cass: Thank God.
Charlie: So I wonder what you had a change of heart about. Are you saying that?
    Cass nods his head.
Charlie: Wait a second. You’re actually giving me your blessing? I think we might need to call John to have you checked out.
Cass: Your old man is gonna be the one to walk you down the aisle. Certainly won’t be Grant!
Charlie: Wow dad. I don’t know what to say.
Cass: You better say thank you or I’m gonna change my mind.
    Charlie (elated): Thank you!
Cass: I was in denial about it, but it seems like he really makes you happy. I’m not gonna stand in your way.
    Charlie and Cass embrace.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Donna: Victoria will you calm down and tell me what happened?
Vicky: I saw Lindsay and Bridget chatting it up at the Center. I could’ve wrung that wench’s scrawny little neck.
Donna: There’s no need for you to panic.
Vicky: The next thing you know Lindsay will be trying to ingratiate herself into my family. I’ll tell you mother, I’m NOT gonna let that happen.
Donna: The only way you’re going to stop her is telling Jake the truth.
Vicky: I wish Stacey never told me that Jake was Lindsay’s father.
Donna: You’re giving Lindsay way too much power, when she’s not the one you need to watch out for.
Vicky: What do you mean? Of course I need to keep an eye on her.
Donna: If she was going to tell Jake, she would have by now, but she hasn’t, has she? The one person you REALLY need to keep away from Jake...is Stacey.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jake: Stacey that was a long time ago. I am married with a family now.
Stacey: It’s a simple question. Do you or do you not still feel that same way about me as I do for you?
Jake: I wasn’t even in my right mind. You fell in love with someone I barely remember being.
Stacey: You gave me something that I thought I could never have again. I will always be grateful to you.
Jake: Whatever it is you thought I gave you, maybe you’re confusing gratitude with love?
Stacey: Jake I know what I’m feeling, and I can’t deny it anymore. I never stopped loving you. We could be a family.
Jake: Family? Stacey what are you….? I...I think you need to leave.
    Bridgetwalks slowly downstairs.
Stacey: Think about what I said.
Bridget: No he doesn’t. He has his family. Me and mom. How can you come in here and try to hit on my dad?
Jake: Bridget this doesn’t concern you. Stacey please leave.
    After Stacey leaves…
Bridget: That’s Lindsay’s mom isn’t it? I’m gonna tell mom what she did.
    Jake: No you’re not.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael: I should call you all Mac’s brat pack. The way you’re fighting over this company that he wanted ALL of his children to share equally.
Iris: Matt, Paulina, and Amanda really don’t want me here, so I offered a way out. I think it’s a viable solution for everyone. Practically a no-brainer.
Paulina: Yeah you would know about having no brains Iris.
Matthew: Michael what are you going to do?
Amanda: The only logical solution here is twenty percent of Cory Productions between you, Sandy, Matt, Paulina and me.
Iris: If that’s the way you’re going Michael, nobody is gonna get a damned thing.
Michael takes out envelopes and hands them to all…
Michael: I didn’t wanna do this, but I’ll see you all at the hearing.

    INSTITUTION
John and Gregory are with Sharlene and Steven in an office with a leather couch, a desk, and a chair across from the couch. John is standing in front of Steven’s desk with Sharlene and Gregory, and Steven is sitting at his desk across from them.
    John: Are you ready honey?
Sharlene: As ready as I’ll ever be.
Steven: I will take good care of her.
Gregory gives a menacing look to John as he flashes back to what he saw at Felicia’s place. Steven notices this look.
Gregory: Mom you’re gonna come out of this stronger than ever. I’ll be there every step of the way. I’m not gonna let anyone else hurt you.
    John: We’ll be right outside.
    Gregory: We sure will.
John and Gregory leave the office, and after Gregory shuts the door...
Gregory: You can go. I’ll stay with mom.
    John: I’m not going anywhere.
Gregory: Well that’s surprising. I thought you would go running straight to that your side piece like you did the other day.
    John: I beg your pardon.
Gregory: I saw you and Felicia...together again.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT THE BLAKE’S...someone rings the doorbell incessantly as Felicia is working on her laptop...
Felicia (putting it down and going to the door): Alright alright I’m coming.
    After she opens the door…
    Felicia: Lisa?
Lisa walks in rubbing her hands together…
    Lisa: Hi Aunt Felicia.
Felicia: What’s going on? You look worried.
Lisa: Something is terribly wrong, and I can’t figure out what it is.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    BAY CITY CENTER
Lindsay is sitting sipping a coffee when Bridget comes up and sits across from her.
    Lindsay: Hey Bridget what’s up?
Bridget: I have to talk to you about your mom.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT THE MCKINNONS...Vicky sits on the couch and flashes back to what Bridget told her in the car (in episode 156) as Jake comes downstairs.
Vicky: I’ve gotta stop that bitch.
Jake: Vicky stop. I know what you’re about to do.
    Vicky: What do you mean?
Jake: You’re talking about Stacey aren’t you?

    Part 2
Steven: I know you’re scared, but you have nothing to worry about.
Sharlene: I know nephew. How’s your father?
Steven: He’s great. His practice is thriving in Paris. He’s loving it here.
Sharlene: What made you wanna come back?
Steven: You. I’ve come to help you. We’ve gotta establish something. During these sessions I’m not your nephew, I’m your doctor. I also want you to know that what we say during these sessions is completely confidential.
Sharlene: I know about the doctor/patient confidentiality stuff. I’ve done this rodeo before.
Steven: You know I’ll be honest with you though...on the record.
    Sharlene: About what?
Steven: There is some serious tension between Uncle John and Gregory.
Sharlene: I don’t know for sure, but those two always have something going on between them. Par for the course I suppose.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gregory follows John into an empty office, and John shuts the door.
John: What the hell are you talking about?
Gregory: You went to her place didn’t you? I saw you two hugging.
John: You’re following me now Gregory? Why don’t you install a damn GPS tracking device the next time?
Gregory: You think this is a joke dad? It’s happening again.
John: For the last time I am not involved with Felicia!
Gregory: Not yet. I’m not gonna let you do it again.
John: I would not hurt your mother like that again.
Gregory: You say one thing and do something else! You’re such a liar!
John: I am becoming very concerned about you. You’re angry at me for no reason. Felicia and I are friends. That’s it.
Gregory: You wanted Dr. Taylor to keep her from remembering what happened the day the Center opened.
John: That was for her protection.
Gregory: And look where mom is now. I don’t want to see mom the way I saw her twenty years when you cheated on her with that homewrecker, and you’re gonna do it again. I guess once….always…
    Gregory walks out.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Felicia: Why don’t you sit down so we can talk?
Lisa: I didn’t know who else to call.
Felicia: Honey you can always call me. So what’s bothering you?
Lisa: It’s one of my patients at the Cavanaugh Clinic. I got a chill when I touched her.
    Felicia: A psychic vibe.
Lisa: Yes. My vibes are still jumping all over the place.
Felicia: Do you have any idea what it could be?
Lisa: I get an eerily familiar vibe from Marissa.
    Felicia: Marissa? That’s her name?
    Lisa: Yes.
Felicia: Well there was a woman named Marissa LaSalle that came to Bay City around the same time you were here. She was really Mary McKinnon. Turned out she had lost her memory.
Lisa: Why do they have the same name?
Felicia: That is a bit odd.
Lisa (getting up, pacing, frustrated): Goodness why can’t I figure this ouuuuut!
Felicia: You said the vibe you got was familiar. Could she be connected to someone you already know?
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Lindsay: My mom?
    Bridget: I overheard their conversation.
Lindsay: Wait a minute. What exactly did my mom say?
Bridget: That she was still in love with my dad.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vicky: Whatever gave you that idea?
Jake: Bridget told you didn’t she? What Stacey said.
Vicky: About her still being in love with you? Yes, and I don’t like it one bit.
Jake: I remember what happened back then.
Vicky: And when did you start recalling your affair with that woman?
    Jake takes a deep breath.
    Jake: A while ago.
Vicky: Wow really? And you’re just telling me now?
Jake: Details were coming to me little by little, but I didn’t wanna tell you until I was sure.
Vicky: You remembered this amnesiac affair with this woman, who is still in love with that guy, and you weren’t sure?
Jake: Vicky please try to understand.
    Vicky: Do you love her?
Jake: How can you ask something like that?
Vicky: We know that Stacey loves you, but do you love her?
Jake: Of course I don’t Vicky! I love you!
Vicky: Is that what you told Stacey when she poured her heart out to you?
    Jake: Not exactly.
Vicky (shaking her head): That’s...that’s not the answer I wanted to hear Jake. She fought to have Mikey taken away from my parents years ago. It destroyed them, and now she’s trying to destroy my family. I’m not gonna let her.
    Vicky grabs her keys.
Jake: Where are you going? Vicky no. Stacey knows where I stand.
Vicky: Someone’s gotta take a stand for this family. If it’s not gonna be you, it will be me. That bitch is not gonna get a second chance to tear my family apart.

    STACEY'S
APARTMENT - Jake just learned through DNA evidence that Lindsay is his daughter. There is a deafening silence among them, then Bridget breaks it.
    Bridget: Is that true dad?
    Jake: 99.9% positive. I am Lindsay’s father.
    Bridget turns to Lindsay.
    Bridget: You knew?
    Lindsay: I…
Bridget: You knew that we were sisters, and you didn’t say anything to me, or my dad. I thought...I thought we were becoming friends.
Lindsay: And we’re more than friends. We’re sisters.
    Bridget: We’re nothing.
Jake: Bridget wait for me downstairs.
After Bridget leaves, a distraught, confused, and dumbfounded Jake tells a hair-out-of-place Vicky to go downstairs and wait with Bridget.
Vicky: Jake we’ve gotta talk about this.
Jake: Oh trust me, we’re gonna get to that. I wanna talk to Stacey.
Vicky: I’m not leaving you here alone with that bitch!
Jake (grunting): Go...downstairs...and wait with Bridget.
    Vicky leaves.
Lindsay: I’ll go to my room.
Jake and Stacey are left alone.
Stacey: Why do you wanna talk to me? You should be talking to Vicky.
Jake: How could you do this to me? Lindsay is my daughter and you didn’t bother to TELL ME! And you say you love me? What kind of person are you?
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BAY CITY CENTER---Bridget is walking, and sees Cory sitting at a table, and she walks up to him while she wipes tears out of her eyes.
    Bridget: Hey.
    Cory: Hey. You alright?
Bridget: Can I talk to you?
    Cory: Sure.
Bridget: I don’t know who else I can talk to.
    Cory: Sit. What’s going on?
Bridget: What ISN’T? I just found out that the girl who I thought was my friend is my sister, and my mom lied about it.
    Cory: Join the club.
Bridget: Well Elizabeth never pretended to be your sister.
Cory: Not talking about that. I’m talking about the lying mom’s club.
    Bridget: Mrs. Hutchins?
Cory: She said my dad was in Springfield, and he’s not.

CAVANAUGH CLINIC - Carl confronts Rachel
    Carl: You took me here?
Rachel: I had no choice Carl.
Carl (shaking his head): And there were no other alternatives.
Rachel: You ingested a neurotoxin, and Bay City General had no medicines to slow its progress. You could only get the treatment you needed here.
Carl: I can’t fault you for it. That’s why I love you so…
    Rachel: But you’re afraid.
Carl: Yes. We’re going to be forever indebted. Our family could be in danger, especially Cory and Elizabeth.
Rachel: I don’t think they’ll put the children at risk.
Carl: You DO know what they are capable of.
Rachel: Yes, I’m very well aware, but I had to save your life Carl. I wasn’t going to lose you again.
Meanwhile, outside the room, Marissa listens and mutters “Cory?”

    PART 2
Bridget: I’m sure it’s not as bad as what my mom did.
Cory: So are you saying your mom knew that Lindsay was Jake’s daughter?
Bridget: Yep, and she didn’t tell anyone.
    Cory: Wow that sucks.
Bridget: Big time. I don’t even wanna be in the same house with her.
    Cory: I know the feeling.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LOVE MANSION- Donna opens the door, and Vicky slowly walks in teary eyed.
Donna: Victoria? You look you’ve been walking through a raging windstorm. What happened? Oh no.
Vicky nods her head and Donna embraces Vicky.
Donna: Oh sweetheart. I’m so sorry.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stacey: I’m someone who wanted to respect your family.
Jake: Oh lemme guess. You were trying to protect me.
    Stacey: Yes!
Jake: That’s a bunch of bull.
Stacey: Jake you have to understand. I didn’t want this to come out the way it did.
Jake: What? Did you and Lindsay hatch a scheme to worm your way into our lives? Lindsay and Bridget spending all this time together?
Stacey: Don’t blame Lindsay. I told her to keep quiet.
    Jake: Why?
Stacey: Because I love you that’s why.
Jake: YOU DON’T LOVE ME! All this was a game. You came to town to get closer to me, and you used your own daughter to do it.
    Stacey: That’s ridiculous!
    Jake: Is it?
Stacey: You act as though I planned all of this. I didn’t. I didn’t even want to feel the way I feel about you.
Jake: This...was a GAME! And the fact that Lindsay is my biological daughter was your trump card, and you were about to play it. You were on your way to tell me about Lindsay til Vicky stopped you right? You were coming to my house to break up my marriage.
Stacey: Don’t you dare put that on me! Your marriage was on the rocks lonnng before I got here!
Jake: My marriage is none of your concern. I don’t wanna see you, I don’t wanna talk to you. You’re dead to me.
Stacey: Jake please don’t say that. I have your best interests at heart. Vicky lied to you, and I know you still have feelings for me...
Jake: I feel nothing but CONTEMPT for you!
Jake leaves and slams the door and Lindsay walks up to a crying Stacey, sighs, and gives her a tissue.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bridget: So did you find where your dad is?
Cory: No. Iris took me to Springfield and Ms. Spaulding said that dad wasn’t in Springfield.
Bridget: And you have no idea where your mom might have taken him?
    Cory: Nope, none.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Donna: I hate that you’re hurting, but this isn’t the place you should be.
Vicky: Come on mother. I know Jake doesn’t wanna see me.
Donna: You should go home, maybe he’ll have cooled down and you two can talk.
    Vicky’s reaching in her purse…
Vicky: This day has been one of the worst ever. You’ll never guess who I ran into earlier.
    Donna: Who?
Vicky: Lisa Grady. Where’s my brush?
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CAVANAUGH CLINIC LAB - Lisa has a sample from Vicky’s hairbrush in a clear plastic baggie, as well as a white cup from Marissa’s room.
Lisa: This will give me the answers I’m looking for.
Meanwhile, Karen watches Lisa from the door.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Marissa walks into Carl’s room…
    Carl: Hello young lady.
    Marissa: Hi.
Rachel: Are you okay? This is the second time you’ve been to this room.
Marissa: You know...Cory? I heard you talking about him.
    Rachel: Yes that’s our son.
    Marissa: Where does he live?
Rachel: I’m sorry, why do you ask about him?
    Marissa: I...um...never mind….I’m sorry.
Marissa runs out…and Rachel and Carl are confused.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lisa prints out the results of her test between Vicky’s hair and Marissa’s cup.
Lisa: Oh my God. This is impossible.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Karen is outside the lab on her cell phone.
Karen: Boss, Dr. McCleary is getting too close. Don’t worry, she won’t get far. I made sure of it.

AT THE FALCONERIS APT...Dante and Lulu bring their baby in. Dante is trying to gently rock the baby, Rocco, who is crying.
Lulu: Hey can you get me his medicine?
Dante (giving Lulu a white pharmacy bag): I wonder how long this ear infection is supposed to last.
Lulu: Britt said it’s typical for babies. This should help. He’s been so cranky lately. Come on let me have him.
Lulu rocks him, then takes him over to the crib and puts Rocco down. Dante joins her as they look over their son.
    Lulu: He’s quiet now.
Dante: You’ve got that motherly thing going on with him. You rock a few times and he’s quiet.
Lulu: It’s just the ear infection. He should be fine. You know pretty soon he’s gonna need his own space.
    Dante: He will.
    Someone knocks on the door…
Dante: That should be ma. She’s in town for Michael’s wedding.
Dante opens and Olivia walks in and kisses Dante on his right cheek.
    Olivia: Hey there! Hey Lulu.
    Lulu: Welcome back.
Olivia: There’s my little baby boy.
    Lulu: He’s sleeping.
Dante: Thanks for comin’ ma. You’re gonna watch Rocco for us for a minute?
    Olivia: Of course I would.
Dante: Thanks ma. Come on Lulu.
    Lulu: Where are we going?
Dante: It’s a surprise. Come on.

Kiki is walking in front of Kelly’s, and as she opens the door, she hears a familiar voice, and she turns around.
    Kiki: Morgan?
    Morgan: Hi.
Kiki: What’s goin’ on? Are you alright?
Morgan: I’m okay. I’m just about to grab a bite to eat.
Kiki: Um...uh...why don’t you join me?
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MAXIE’S APARTMENT…Nathan is outside the door on his cell phone. Maxie opens the door and while Nathan has his back turned.

Kiki: Thanks. It’s great that you’ve agreed to stand up for him.
Morgan: He’s my brother, no matter what.
    Kiki: Buuuut…
    Morgan: Nothing.
Kiki: Look you haven’t been the same since your dad…
Morgan: Banged your mom at the Quartermaine crypt.
Kiki: I wasn’t gonna say that.
Morgan: It’s okay. My dad betrayed me, and now he’s in prison. Where he belongs.
Kiki: It’s still hurts though. My mom is in jail, too. She did some horrible things, but she’s still my mom, and I miss her.
Morgan: I guess so. I guess...I do miss having my dad around. He’s in isolation. I can’t even go see him. I know I have my mom and my brother, but mom’s busy with the hotel, and Mikey’s busy at ELQ. I feel like I’m alone...
Kiki puts her hand on Morgan’s when Carly walks in and sees them...
    Kiki: You’re not alone.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EMPTY LIVING ROOM...Dante escorts Lulu in, and Lulu is blindfolded..
Lulu: Dante where are we? Can I take this thing off yet?
    Dante: Yeah now you can.
Lulu removes the blindfold and is a bit dumbfounded.
    Lulu: An empty house?
Dante: Remember when you said Rocco is gonna need his own space?
Lulu: Yeah but what does that have to do with this house? Wait a minute. You?
    Dante: This...is ours. This house.
    Lulu: This is...it?
    Dante: Are you surprised?
Lulu (about to cry joyful tears): Beyond!
Dante: I wasn’t gonna tell anyone until after Michael and Kiki’s wedding. We can move in after that.
    Lulu: Pinch me.
Dante: No...this is no dream. We’re gonna raise our family here.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Levi is around the corner listening...
Nathan: Maxie you shouldn’t sneak up on people like that.
Maxie: You’re running a background check on Levi.
Nathan: Something’s not right with him.
    Maxie: Because he’s environmentally conscious!
Nathan: Because he’s using you to run some type of agenda.
    Maxie: You’re wrong!
Nathan: We’ll see about that won’t we?
Maxie: Call off the investigation! Or move out!
    Levi walks up to them.
Levi: No Maxie. Nathan doesn’t have to go. I’ll leave.
Maxie: If you’re leaving, then I’m going with you.
    Nathan: Maxie.
Maxie: You and Mac need to accept that Levi is a part of my life, and if you can’t, then that’s just too bad.

PART 1 Stacey’s apartment - Stacey is in the living room and Lindsay walks in from her bedroom, and notices Stacey staring at her cell phone.
Lindsay (walking to get her purse): Charlie just texted. They’re back from Chadwell. We’re supposed to go get fitted for our dresses.
    Stacey continues to stare..
Lindsay: Mom? Hello? Earth to mom.
Stacey (snapping out of it): Oh I’m sorry.
Lindsay: Are you waiting for Jake to call you?
    Stacey: Ummm...no.
Lindsay: Mom it’s okay, but I think helping Charlie with her wedding would help get our minds off of it.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BAY CITY CENTER - Frankie and Charlie are sitting at a table, and Frankie is on her cell phone.
Frankie: Yeah we’re back. Oh your daughter’s gonna look like a million bucks. See ya later.
Charlie: I just texted Kirkland and Lindsay.
Frankie: They’re gonna meet us here right?
Charlie: Yeah hopefully soon. Hey I’m gonna go to the ladies’ room. I’ll be back.
    Frankie: Okay honey.
Charlie leaves and suddenly she gets a chill…
Frankie: What was that? Nope I will not let any negative vibes get in the way of my daughter’s wedding.
    Then...Eric approaches Frankie…
Eric: Hi. Your name’s Mary Frances right?
Frankie becomes a bit concerned and stands up to face him.
Frankie: Yes, but I don’t believe we’ve met.
Eric: I’ve heard so much about you.
Frankie: Is that right? From whom?
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PRISON MENTAL FACILITY - Christy walks into the visitor’s area, and Grant is there. Christy sits across from him.
Grant: What the hell do you want? I have to go get fitted for my tux.
Christy: You’d better be bringing me some good news.
Grant: Not so fast Ms. Carson.
    Christy: Excuse me?
Grant looks around to make sure nobody is in earshot, and leans closer to Christy…
Grant: Before I get you out of here, I want the evidence that Scooter had.
Christy: Who says I have any evidence?
Grant: Don’t play coy, especially if you wanna get out of here. You give me what I want, and I give you what you want. It’s that simple.
Christy: And if I don’t give it?
Grant: Then you spend the rest of your life in this facility. That isn’t what you want, is it Ms. Carson?
Christy: If I didn’t know any better, you’re trying to play hardball, and if that’s the case, you picked the wrong bitch.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE MCKINNONS - Steven and Kirklandhave arrived amongst Jake and Vicky’s argument.
Kirkland: What the hell is going on over here?
Steven: That’s what I’d like to know.
Jake: Guys I’m so sorry. I forgot we were going to get fitted for our tuxes today.
    Vicky walks up to Kirkland.
Vicky: You know what honey, you guys go ahead.
    Then she looks at Jake.
Vicky: Jake and I can put aside our differences for Kirkland’s sake. Can’t we Jake?
    Jake: You’re right.
    Then Jake looks at Kirkland.
Jake: It’s gonna be your wedding day, and I would never try to take anything away from that.
CAMERA PAN ON JAKE…SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

    PART 2
Stacey and Lindsay interrupt Eric from possibly telling Frankie that Christy is his mother.
    Lindsay: Hey Frankie.
    Frankie: Hi there.
    Stacey: Where’s my niece?
Eric: I’m sorry. I’m gonna go.
    Eric runs off.
Frankie: Wait a minute. Who are you?
    Lindsay: Yeah who is that?
Frankie: Maybe that’s...what I got a feeling about. Anyway, let’s go get those dresses.
Stacey: I’ll text Charlie and tell her to meet us there. Where’s Emma’s wedding dress?
Frankie: It was delivered to the shop.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TUXEDO SHOP...Jake, Kirkland, and Steven are side by side, as a tailor measures each one of them for their tuxedos.
Kirkland: What’s up with you and mom?
Jake: Don’t worry about us son. You should be focusing on marrying Charlie.
    Steven strategically interjects…
Steven: Jake’s right. You’re about to make a lifelong commitment to my cousin. How does it feel?
Kirkland: You make it sound like I’m about to go to jail or something.
Jake: Well get ready for arguments about the toothpaste, and the bed not being made up. I remember your mom used to always tell you to make up your bed when you were younger.
Steven: You didn’t have to tell me that. My side of the room was always clean.
Jake: Steven you were always a clean person. We didn’t have to get after you about chores and things.
Steven: I feel sorry for Charlie.
Kirkland: So what I’m a little messy.
Jake and Steven (at the same time): A little?
Steven: I think you should hit up your dad so you can hire a maid to clean up after you.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grant: I can keep you locked up in here forever if I wanted to.
Christy: You go right ahead and try, because one phone call, and you’ll have a one way ticket to the pen.
    Grant: You’re bluffing.
Christy: Oh believe me, I’m not. I know you’re connected to Evan Frame’s reign of mayhem, and that you shot him.
    Grant: You don’t know anything.
Christy: Oh come on Grant. We both know that the object of your affection is Paulina, and I’ve got the goods to help you get her, but you gotta get me outta here...first. If I were you, I’d strongly encourage you to call in all the favors you need to. We can help each other. It’s a win win.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BRIDAL SHOP - Stacey and Frankie are in one room being measured by the seamstresses.
    Stacey: Charlie deserves this.
Frankie: I’m so happy for my baby.
Stacey: I know Cass wasn’t happy about it at first.
Frankie: No he wasn’t. He softened up after the judge ruled against Christy’s release.
Stacey: He just wants Charlie to be safe.
Frankie: We were at odds about it, but some time away has given some clarity.
    Stacey: About what?
Frankie: Your brother. I’m always gonna love him. I still love him. I guess I’ve just been stubborn about it.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Charlie and Lindsay are in another room being fitted. Charlie’s is being tailored while she wears it.
    Lindsay: That’s your grandmother’s dress?
    Charlie: Yeah.
    Lindsay: It’s beautiful.
Charlie: Thank you. I can’t believe it’s so close.
    Lindsay: I know.
Charlie: Should I hyphenate my name?
Lindsay: So you wanna be Charlotte Winthrop-Harrison?
Charlie: Ahhhh I dunno about that. It didn’t sound right. No offense.
    Lindsay: None taken.
Charlie: I guess we’ll stick with Charlotte Harrison.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kirkland: So Steven, Jake and I are gonna be married. When is it gonna be your turn?
Steven: All in good time lil brother.
Jake: So there isn’t anyone you’ve got your eye on since you’ve been back?
Kirkland: He’s got an imaginary girlfriend.
Steven: She’s not my girlfriend, but she’s definitely a complicated girl. She acts so tough on the outside, but deep down is a real sweet person. There’s a mystery that I wanna uncover when it comes to her.

    PART 1
    MONTICELLO POLICE STATION
Allen has just discovered KC, his daughter. Toni and Etta Mae are with them. Allen slowly walks up to her, seemingly not knowing how to react to seeing K.C. for the first time.
Allen: My God. It’s really you. My daughter?
    K.C. backs away.
    K.C.: I don’t...know you.
    Etta Mae intervenes…
    Etta Mae: You’re scaring her.
Allen: We were robbed of all those years together. Toni and Etta Mae did that.
Etta Mae: This isn’t the place to talk about this. Why don’t we go home?
Allen: Why? So you and Toni can figure out more ways to keep me from my daughter!
Toni: KC you need to give your statement to Casey.
K.C.: Will you all stop it? I’m not a toy in your sandbox!
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Jack and Casey discuss Reginald.
Jack: This isn’t happening right now. He murdered Evan Frame; kidnapped Bridget McKinnon and K.C. Burrell, and you mean to tell me he’s gonna get away with it?
Casey: Reginald and his accomplice Margaret are citizens of Tanquir, so all we can do is have them deported.
    Cecile interrupts.
Cecile: That’s correct gentlemen. So it’s time for you to release my clients into my custody.
Jack and Casey look at Cecile, knowing that they have no choice but to comply.
Casey: You will get a police escort to the airport.
Cecile: The flight plan has been filed, and I can assure you that Reginald and Margaret will be flown to Tanquir.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WINTHROPS HOUSE - Cass walks into the living room and sees Frankie.
Frankie: Everything is clean. All the trash is by the door, but you’re gonna have to take it out. I’m not taking out the trash.
Cass: I will take out the garbage.
Frankie: You don’t have to do it right now.
Cass: What do you want me to do now?
    Frankie smiles.
Frankie: Do I have to show you everything?
    They kiss passionately.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT THE MONTICELLO AIRPORT - Reginald, Cecile, and Margaret on Cecile’s jet.
Margaret: I’m going to the ladies’ room.
Cecile: I hear there’s a storm coming. Why is the Monticello Police outside?
Reginald: Detective Casey Stoner is just making sure that I don’t try to give them the slip.
Cecile: It’s just as well. It’ll give me the chance to…
    Cecile stops herself…
Reginald: Do you want to finish your sentence or should I?
Cecile: I was gonna go make sure that the Monticello Police did everything they were supposed to do.
Reginald: Oh come on. We both know you’re going to Bay City to see your former love slave...Cass Winthrop.
CAMERA PAN ON CECILE...SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

    PART 2
AT THE BLAKES, Mitch confronts Felicia about what Gregory said at the institution...
Felicia: What are you talking about?
Mitch: I heard you were running around town helping John find Michael.
Felicia: Who did you hear that from?
    Mitch: That’s not important.
    Felicia: John is a friend.
    Mitch: Just friends?
Felicia: I can’t believe you’re actually asking me that!
Mitch: Are you having an affair with him?
Felicia: No! I am not cheating on you with anyone, and I am hurt that you would even think that I am having an affair with John again. It happened over twenty years ago.
Mitch: You didn’t even tell me about it.
Felicia: Just like you failed to mention the fact that Sharlene was confiding in you about one of her alters.
Mitch: That’s completely different. I’ve never had an affair with her.
Felicia: So you’re throwing my past in my face!
    Felicia sighs with exasperation..
Felicia: My god-daughter is getting married tomorrow. I need to rest.
    Mitch: Good idea.
Mitch tries to follow Felicia into the bedroom but she stops and turns around.
Felicia: You can sleep on the couch tonight. The blankets are in the linen closet.
She then slams the bedroom door.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cass is holding Frankie in bed after having made love.
Cass: Wow. This time tomorrow, Charlie will be married.
Frankie: I’m still a little surprised that you gave your blessing.
Cass: I guess I felt better about it after...
    Frankie: You can say it.
Cass: Charlie’s safety and well being are my only concerns.
Frankie: Mine, too. I thought Christy had changed, but the judge didn’t see it that way, but it shouldn’t come between us. I’ve always loved you Cass. I always will.
They kiss, and then Frankie reminds him of something.
Frankie: This would be a good time for…
    Cass: The trash.
Frankie: Yeah you don’t want it smelling up the living room.
    Cass: You’re...you’re…
    Frankie: Right?
    Cass: Yeah yeah you’re right.
Cass gets up and puts his robe on. He grabs the trash by the front door, and opens it, and his eyes widen as he is shocked by what he sees.
Cass: Cecile? What the hell are you doing here at this hour?
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT TONI’S APARTMENT - Toni, K.C. and Etta Mae walk in. K.C is quiet.
Etta Mae: Keneisha aren’t you gonna say something?
K.C.: What do you want me to say? That I understand why you kept me from my father all my life? Sorry I can’t wrap my head around that.
Toni: You may not understand right now, but I do need you to try. The situation was impossible.
K.C.: You had to know that he was looking for me. He was looking for me right?
Etta Mae and Toni look at each other.
Etta Mae: We told him that you were dead.
    K.C.: Oh it gets better.
Etta Mae: He left. It wasn’t like he was going to the military. He had no excuse leaving Toni pregnant!
K.C.: So you told him that I was dead.
Toni: We told him that I lost the baby.
    K.C.: Why did he leave?
Toni: He went looking for his mother.
K.C.: I guess she would be my grandmother right?
Toni: I couldn’t raise you by myself. I was in school.
Etta Mae: That’s when I stepped in. Toni needed to finish school, so I took care of you.
Toni: We didn’t want to confuse you.
Etta Mae: So we let you think that Toni was your sister.
Toni: I was devastated when he left. He didn’t even come back. Allen didn’t, and still doesn’t, deserve to be your father.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PLANE - The rain is beating up against the plane with claps of thunder in between as Reginald is being served a plate of food.
Reginald: This isn’t poisoned is it?
The servant looks at him puzzled by his statement.
    Reginald: Never mind.
    The servant walks away.
Reginald: I wish this storm would pass so we can get the hell out of here.
    Allen walks onto the aircraft.
    Allen: I second that.
Reginald: Well well. If it isn’t my grandson. Did you come to see me off?
Allen: I wanna know why you didn’t tell me about my daughter.
    Donna and Michael join Allen.
Michael: You’re not gonna get a straight answer from him Allen. Why don’t we just pound it out of him?
    Reginald laughs.
Reginald: Look at this. Our mini-family reunion.

    PART 1
    CAR
Rachel, Carl and Michele are riding in the back. Michele is looking out the window, and Rachel looks at her with concern.
    Rachel: You’ve been very quiet.
Carl: Understandably. She hasn’t seen her family in a very long time.
    Michele: I’m nervous.
Rachel: Carl and I will be right there with you. Nothing could prepare them for what’s gonna happen today.
    -----------------
    THE MCKINNONS HOUSE
Bridget is in the living room on her cell phone wearing a summery, light cranberry based, flowery spaghetti strap dress with matching shoes.
Bridget: I forgot Charlie was your niece. I’ll see you at the wedding. Maybe we can sit together. Okay bye.
Vicky walks into the living room from the kitchen wearing a sky blue fitted spaghetti strap dress with black, open-toed, high heeled shoes.
Vicky: Who were you on the phone with?
    Bridget: Cory. Why?
Jake comes downstairs in his black tuxedo.
Jake: Bridget don’t start. You both look beautiful.
    Vicky: Thank you.
    Bridget: Thank you dad.
    There’s an awkward silence…
Vicky: So do you want to ride with me to the wedding?
Bridget: No. Steven’s coming to pick us up.
    -----------
    MENTAL INSTITUTION ROOM
Steven, dressed in a black tuxedo, is with Sharlene.
    Steven: How are you?
    Sharlene: I’ve never been better.
    Steven: That’s great to hear.
Sharlene: John was here. We talked, and I know what I have to do.
Steven: Well…I’ve got some great news.
    -----------
    HUDSONS HOUSE
Gregory is in the living room at the mirror. He is tying his tie that matches his navy blue suit, as John, dressed in a gray suit, matching light gray striped tie, and black shoes. walks downstairs with a clothing bag. Gregory notices the bag through the mirror, but continues to look in the mirror.
    Gregory: What’s in the bag?
    John: It’s a dress.
Gregory (chuckling): Is it for Felicia, or are you planning on dressing in drag?
John sighs to resist Gregory’s attempt to start to argument.
John: No. It’s actually for your mother.
    ---------
Sharlene: Wait a minute. Kirkland and Charlie are getting married today. That’s why you look so handsome.
Steven: Is that what you think my news is?
Sharlene: Well yeah. Give them my best.
    Steven: You’re going, too.
    Sharlene: What?
Steven: We conferred and you are all integrated...for good this time, and you’ve just gotta sign your papers, and you will be officially released, and the charges will be dropped.
Sharlene: Oh my God. I...I thought I was gonna miss the wedding. Oh goodness. What am I gonna wear?
Steven: John is on his way with your dress. Come on did you think I was gonna let you miss this?
Sharlene hugs her nephew with gratitude.
    ---------
    AT THE CHURCH…
Frankie, Charlie , Stacey, and Lindsay are with Charlie in one of the rooms. Frankie, Lindsay and Stacey all have their light violet bridesmaid dresses on, and Charlie still has a terrycloth robe on. Frankie and Stacey are doing Charlie’s hair. Frankie is trying to hold Charlie’s hair up, while Stacey looks where to insert a pin.
Frankie: We’re gonna get it just right.
Stacey: Okay here we go. Right there.
Stacey and Frankie look at Charlie to admire their work. Charlie looks in the mirror.
Charlie: Can you put the bun a little to the right.
Frankie: Oh Charlie come on this is about the tenth time we’ve tried.
Stacey: Lindsay, we need Felicia. I know she can get this right.
Lindsay: I got a text from her. She said she and Mitch are on their way.
    --------
    CAR-
Mitch is driving Felicia to the church.
Mitch: You haven’t said a word since we left the house.
    Felicia: Neither have you.
Mitch: Are you still angry about me asking about John? Surely you understand why.
Felicia: I really don’t wanna talk about it. This is Charlie and Kirkland’s day.
Mitch: So when are we gonna talk about it? The tenth of never?
Suddenly they hear a loud pop, and metal scraping. This causes Mitch to pull over.
    Felicia: What was that?
Mitch: Judging from that sound, I think we got a flat tire.
    Felicia sighs with frustration.

    PART 2
    Steven: Are you excited?
Sharlene: It’s bittersweet. I think my real recovery is still ongoing, but I couldn’t have gotten through the first part without you.
Steven: I can’t take credit for that. You got yourself to this point.
Sharlene: I finally figured out why Janice emerged.
    Steven: And she won’t again.
    Sharlene: Damned right.
John knocks on the door and walks in with the clothing bag that has Sharlene’s dress in it.
    Steven: Hey uncle John.
    John: Steven. Sharlene.
    Sharlene: Hi John.
Steven: Well I gotta go pick up Kirkland and Bridget.
John: Do you think you’re gonna have enough time?
Steven: Probably not. I’ll text Bridget. Hopefully mom and Jake are still there. She can ride with them.
    --------
Vicky: Look Bridget I get that you’re mad as hell at me right now, but Steven’s gonna go pick up Kirkland, too. He might not have enough time to come get you, too.
Jake: She can go in my car. You both can.
Vicky smiles as Bridget gets Steven’s text. It says “Can she go with mom or Jake? I have to get Kirk, too. Not gonna have enough time.” Bridget sucks her teeth.
    Bridget: Yeah dad.
    Jake: The car’s out back.
Bridget walks out and Vicky smiles pensively.
    Vicky: Thank you.
Jake: I will put our differences aside for our children today. That’s all.
    Vicky: It’s a start isn’t it?
Jake: A family ride or a wedding is not gonna change what’s wrong between us. I can’t just flip on a switch and decide to trust you again.
Vicky: I’m not gonna explain my reasons for that anymore, and you’re not gonna keep us in limbo. It doesn’t seem like you want to try and work things out.
Jake: Did you even listen to what I said. I will put our differences aside for the childrens’ sake.
Vicky: Yes I heard that loud and clear, and after the wedding, you can start looking for a place to live. I want you out of this house.
    --------
Mitch presses “end call” on his cell phone.
    Felicia: Sooo?
Mitch: I’m gonna go out and change it myself.
Felicia: You can’t do that. You’re gonna get your suit dirty.
Mitch: Roadside Assistance said it would be at least an hour. You’ve gotta get there for Charlie.
Felicia: Oh no. I can’t wait that long.
Someone knocks on the driver’s side window. Mitch looks out and sees John.
    --------
    FIVE MINUTES LATER…
John drives Sharlene and Felicia. Felicia is in the back seat.
Felicia: That’s wonderful that you’ve been released today. Just in time for Charlie’s wedding.
Sharlene: Why do you care? Are you concerned that you’re not gonna be able to see my husband anymore?
Felicia: For the last time I’m not having an affair with John!
Sharlene: I hear you two have been spending a lot of time together.
Felicia: And you were doing the same with my husband!
John: Quiet. This day is for Kirkland and Charlie.
    Felicia: Charlie is my God-daughter.
Sharlene: And Charlie is my niece! My flesh and blood!
John: It doesn’t matter. We all love them and you two need to stop this arguing now!
    --------
JAKE’S CAR IN THE BACK OF THE MCKINNONS HOUSE
Jake and Vicky are in the front seat.
Jake: What’s taking Bridget so long?
Vicky: A girl needs her lip gloss. Hope she can find it in that room of hers.
    ------
Bridget is in her bedroom getting her lip gloss off of her dresser, and then as she walks downstairs, she is seemingly stopped right in her tracks by a feeling.
    Bridget: What was that?
    ------
Rachel, Carl and Michele are the front door of the McKinnons house. Michele goes to a row of five flower pots, and gets a key out of it the middle pot.
Michele: I remember where the spare key is.
She takes a deep breath, and looks back at Carl and Rachel.
    Michele: Here it goes.
Michele inserts the key into the keyhole and turns it…
    -----
Stacey, Lindsay, and Frankie are all standing next to each other.
Stacey: Well there she is. We finally got her hair right.
Lindsay: She looks like she’s ready.
Frankie: You look awesome. Mama would have been proud.
Frankie smiles proudly as she puts the white matching head piece on Charlie, who is wearing Emma’s white tailored wedding dress.

    CHURCH
Frankie, Charlie, Stacey and Lindsay are marveling at how Charlie looks.
Lindsay: You look absolutely wonderful cuz.
Stacey: Look at my niece. You make a beautiful bride. Come on Lindsay. It’s almost time for us to take our places.
Someone knocks on the door, and Lindsay opens it.
    Lindsay: Uncle Cass.
    Cass: Hey there.
    Frankie: Hey honey.
Cass turns his attention to Charlie.
Cass: Oh my goodness. Do I really have to give you away?
Charlie: I only got one dad, so yes you do.
Stacey: Lindsay and I are gonna go.
Cass takes a deep breath after Stacey and Lindsay leave.
Cass: It’s almost time kid. We’re just waiting for Kirkland.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    KIRKLAND’S SUITE
Kirkland has his pants on, but is barechested when he flashes back to the text he got from Scott Granger, Jr. stating that Scott was coming to Bay City. He’s on the phone.
Kirkland: Dad I’m running a little behind, but I’m definitely coming. Okay.
Then he goes to answer a knock at the door. Steven walks in.
Steven: Bro we gotta get to the church, and you’re not even dressed yet.
Kirkland: Dude relax. I just gotta put my shirt and tie on.
    Steven: As I’ve noticed.
Kirkland: Do you have the rings?
    Steven: Yes.
Kirkland: I just got off the phone with my dad. You’re acting just like him.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    GRANT’S HOUSE
Grant walks into the living room in a full tuxedo and Christy is there.
Christy: My my don’t you look handsome.
Grant: I’m standing up for my son at his wedding. I have to look my best.
Christy: Gosh can’t you take a compliment?
Grant: Listen to me. We’re not friends. This is a business arrangement. You help me, and I help you. That’s how it goes.
Grant leaves and Christy reaches into her bag, grabs her phone, and pulls up the calendar. She looks at one particular date highlighted.
    Christy: That’s the day.
Then she looks up and sees Eric.
    Eric: What day is that?
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kirkland walks out of the bathroom dressed and ready.
    Steven: How you feelin?
Kirkland: I’m ready to marry the woman I love. Let’s go.
Steven opens the door, and there is Scott Granger, who has arrived from Genoa City.
Scott: Are you sure I can’t convince you not to go through with this wedding?

    PART 2
Steven looks back and forth at Scott and Kirkland.
    Steven: Hey Scott.
    Scott: Steven how are you?
Steven: I think...you two need to talk. I’ll be downstairs in the car.
Steven leaves and Scott shuts the door.
Scott: Wow that’s your brother? He’s hot.
    Kirkland: He’s straight.
Scott: That’s what they all say, but anyway.
Kirkland: So you came all the way to Bay City to stop me from marrying Charlie? Cuz you’re not gonna do it.
Scott: Kirkland seriously? Why are you getting married to Charlie when you don’t even love her?
Kirkland: I love Charlie with all my heart, something you don’t seem to have a clue about.
Scott seems stung by Kirkland’s last statement.
Scott: I don’t have a clue about love? That’s what we had. You’re the only person I’ve ever loved. You and I were in love. How do you think it makes me feel to watch you marry someone else? I think you’re lying to yourself.
Kirkland: Lying? That’s all you’ve ever done Scott since you got back to Genoa City. You lied to Rafe. You’re lying to your mother. You’re lying to...what’s her name? Vandalism?
Scott: Vandalynn. Her name is Vandalynn.
Kirkland: Isn’t that the girl you slept with that…?
Scott: You can say it. It broke us up. I messed it up, and all this time I’ve been trying to figure out ways to make it up to you. I’ve been looking for you. Rafe is not you. I miss you Kirkland don’t you understand? I miss what we had back in school.
Kirkland: It was great, and I don’t regret it.
    Scott goes closer to Kirkland.
Scott: And we can have it again. You don’t love Charlie the way you love me. I know it. I see it.
Kirkland: You know when I...came back home. I was so angry. I was angry about the way we broke up. I was angry at my dad for what he did to my mom in the past. During all that time I was searching for ways to stick it to him, so I ran against him for mayor.
Scott: Is that when you slept with that bartender at the GCAC?
Kirkland: That was all part of me getting information on my dad. I already knew Charlie back from when were kids but, we got closer, because she was angry at her mom and...she managed to forgive her, and she taught me the power of forgiveness. I felt so stuck in my anger, and Charlie helped me out of all of that. Her love changed me. Her love makes me a better man. That’s why I’m marrying her.
    Scott slowly backs away.
Scott: But you haven’t told her...about us...have you?
Kirkland: No. I haven’t told her about my past, and she hasn’t told me much about hers. Like why she dropped out of school. All I know is that I love her, and she loves me.
Scott: We felt that way about each other once. We were in school, and we had a relationship. All we knew was that we loved each other.
Kirkland: I did love you, but I’ve moved on. I wish everybody could feel the way I feel right now about the woman I’m going to marry. One day, Scott, you are going to meet someone who blows you away so much that you just want to be a better person. You’re gonna realize that you’re stuck.
    Scott: I’m not stuck.
Kirkland’s eyes well up with tears, and puts his hands on Scott’s shoulders.
Kirkland: You...are...stuck. Stuck in the past; stuck in what we had; stuck in what we used to be. I’m not anymore because of Charlie. I want you to be happy Scotty. I want you to feel what I feel now.
    Scott starts to cry.
Scott: Stop this! I’m never gonna find anyone like you.
Kirkland: Yes you are. You’re gonna find someone better than me. Someone who makes you a better man.
    Scott: She...really makes you happy.
Kirkland: Yes man. Yes. I don’t know where I’d be without her. I want you to find that happiness, too. Come here man.
Kirkland embraces Scott in a long hug.
    Scott: Congratulations.
Kirkland: You will find it. I promise you.
Scott slowly backs away and then leaves.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Christy: What are you doing here? I told you to wait for me.
Eric: Is it so bad for me to want to spend some extra time with my mom.
Christy gets up and hugs him.
Christy: I’m sorry son. I miss you, too, but we’ve gotta stay focused.
Eric: So you went and had it done.
    Christy: Yes I did.
Eric: And it has something to do with that day you were talking about.
Christy: That’s when it’s gonna have its biggest effect.
Eric: Anything I can do to help?
Christy: You being here is the biggest help of all.
    Eric: Where’s Grant?
Christy: He went to his son’s and Charlie’s wedding.
Eric flashes back to (EPISODE 155) when he served Charlie a latte.
Eric: Caramel latte for the pretty lady?
Charlie: Thank you. How much is it?
    Eric: It’s on the house.
Eric then notices Charlie’s engagement ring.
Eric then flashes back to the present.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    CHURCH
Grant is at the altar with Kirkland and Steven as the guests start filing in.
Grant: What took you so long?
    Steven: Traffic was backed up.
Grant: This doesn’t have anything to do with Scott Granger does it? If he tries to pull anything he’s gonna be sorry.
Kirkland: I don’t think he is dad. I think it sunk in for him that I love Charlie and I’m gonna be with her for the rest of my life.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Cass and Charlie are in a room together. Cass is dressed in a tuxedo, and Charlie in her wedding dress.
Cass: Look at this. After everything that you, your mother, and I have been through as a family, you’re getting married.
Charlie: I was too young, but I sensed trepidation with you and mom because of my heart condition.
Cass: We really didn’t know how long we’d have you. You’ve grown up, you went to school, and you’re going back to school.
    Charlie: Yes dad of course.
Cass: Lila texted me and said that she and Jasmine are gonna send your wedding gift soon. She said she was sorry she couldn’t make it.
Charlie: I know she wasn’t feeling well and Jasmine wanted to be with her. I wish they were here.
Cass: Lila was a mother figure for you.
Charlie: Yep, but we got mom back now.
Cass: And it’s time for you to get married.
    Charlie: Daddy.
    Cass: Yes.
Charlie: Thank you for showing me how a man should treat a woman. Thanks for being the greatest dad ever.
Cass smiles and hugs his daughter.
Cass: You’re welcome honey. Kirkland’s waiting for his beautiful bride.

    MCKINNON’S HOUSE
Michele walks in slowly through the front door, looking around. Rachel and Carl are right behind her.
Rachel: How does it feel being back home?
Michele: It hasn’t changed that much since…
Carl: I’m sure your family will be thrilled once they learn of your return.
Michele: It feels so weird being back.
    Rachel: How so?
Michele: I dunno. I don’t know how anyone’s doing. My parents; my sister; Cory. I wanna see Cory. Can you guys take me to see him?
Rachel and Carl look at each other, wondering if Michele seeing Cory would be a good idea.
    --------------------------------------------
    CHURCH
Stacey and Lindsay are in the foyer as the guests file in.
Stacey: I’m gonna go help Felicia get ready.
After Stacey leaves, Gregory shows up.
Gregory: Wow. Look at my girl.
    Lindsay: Hey there handsome.
    They kiss.
Gregory: When is this thing getting started?
    Lindsay: Soon.
Gregory: I’m gonna...take my seat, and watch for you.
Jake, Vicky, and Bridget show up, and creates an awkward moment for the four of them.
    Gregory: The McKinnons. How’s everybody?
Bridget and Vicky each shoot a dirty look at Lindsay.
    Bridget: I’m going inside.
    Vicky: Good idea.
Vicky leads the way but Bridget turns around..
    Bridget: Dad aren’t you coming?
Jake: I wanna speak to Lindsay for a second.
    Bridget: Why?
Jake: Bridget, go in with your mother.
Bridget: I have no clue why you would wanna speak with this liar.
Bridget goes inside the church area, leaving Jake and Lindsay alone.
Lindsay: I thought I’d be the last person you’d wanna talk to.
Jake: I’m gonna make this quick. Look Lindsay I...I don’t blame you for what Vicky and Stacey did. They conspired to keep the truth from me. Nothing’s gonna change the fact that you’re my daughter.
Lindsay: I hate how all that went down.
Jake: Well..we can’t change the past, but if you’re willing, we can try and forge some type of relationship.
Lindsay: That might not go over well with Bridget.
Jake: I think in time she’ll learn to accept you. When I think about it it’s…almost like a miracle. I lost one daughter, but I gained another.
    -------------
    CHURCH
Bridget spots Cory sitting in a pew left of the aisle, and sits next to him.
    Bridget: Hey you.
    Cory: Hey. You look great.
    Bridget: Thank you. You, too.
The two smile at each other. Meanwhile, John and Sharlene are sitting in the same set of pews behind Bridget and Cory.
Sharlene: You’re gonna sit here? Kirkland’s family is sitting on the other side.
John: I wanna sit here with you...my wife.
John puts his right hand on Sharlene’s left thigh, and she scoots further to the right, creating a little space between them, causing John’s hand to be placed on the pew.
    Sharlene: Suit yourself.
Gregory comes up to them, and sits between John and Sharlene.
    ------
AT THE ALTAR, Vicky is there with Grant and her two sons, Kirkland and Steven.
    Vicky: Aren’t you excited?
Grant: Of course he is. Why wouldn’t he be?
Steven: No fights. Not here, not today guys.
Kirkland: Thank you big bro. The voice of reason.
Vicky: We wouldn’t dream of doing something like that right now. At least I wouldn’t. What about you Grant?
Grant: I certainly wouldn’t entertain the thought of ruining my son’s day.
    Steven: Where’s Jake?
Grant gets a call on his cell phone.
    Kirkland: Dad really?
Grant: Sorry son I gotta take this.
Grant goes off into a private corner and answers his call.
Grant: Christy this isn’t a good time. The delivery’s been made? Good.
    ----------------------------
    FOYER
Lindsay: Wow. I certainly didn’t expect this from you.
Jake: As you’ll learn I can be full of surprises.
    Lindsay: Pleasant ones I hope.
They hug, while Stacey and Felicia watch them.

    PAULINA’S HOUSE
Paulina, wearing a light fuchia spaghetti strapped dress, with white, open toed heels, opens the door, and it’s Jack, in a blue suit.
    Paulina: Wow. Hi there.
Jack: Wow is the operative word here. You look great.
    Paulina: Thank you.
    Jack: Are you ready?
The two go arm in arm to the car.
    ---------------------
    Carl: Maybe we should wait.
Rachel: Carl’s right. You have to give yourself some time to get back to your life. You’ve missed significant time with your family.
Michele: I’ll have plenty of time to do that. I really would like to see Cory.
Michele sees a tablet on the table and turns it on, but looks at it strangely.
Rachel: What are you looking at?
Michele: These words. I really can’t make them out. What does this say?
Carl and Rachel look at each other again.
Michele: What’s going on? You guys keep looking at each other.
    Rachel: You can’t…
    Michele: Read? I can’t read? That’s impossible.
Carl: It could be a result of your brain injury. You may have to re-learn.
Michele: Learn how to read? I don’t have time for that! I was accepted to Harvard, now you’re telling me I might be illiterate?
Rachel: Nobody’s saying that at all darling.
Carl: Once we reunite you with your parents, they should take you to a neurologist.
    -------------------------
    BACK AT THE CHURCH
    Jake: Felicia you look great.
Felicia: Thank you very much. I thought I wasn’t going to make it on time.
    Stacey: Jake?
Jake looks at Stacey, and walks into the church. Stacey, a bit defeated, re-gathers herself, as Frankie, Cass, and Charlie join them.
    Frankie: Hey. Well..this is it.
    -------------------------
Meanwhile, Donna, Michael, Allen walk up to the altar to greet Kirkland and Steven.
Donna: Steven, honey when did you even get here? It’s so good to see you honey.
    Steven: I’ll explain later.
    Michael: Hey kid.
    Kirkland: Hey grandpa Michael.
    Michael: Where’s Spencer?
Grant (interjecting): Dad’s on his way. His flight got delayed.
    Allen: Congratulations cuz.
    Kirkland: Thanks.
Donna: Well it feels like they’re gonna start soon. We should know when a wedding’s about to start.
Michael: Yeah we’ve been married four times.
    Donna: Where’s Amanda?
Allen: She’s gonna meet us at the reception at Tops.
Michael: There he is. Minister Jones.
Minister Jones: Sorry I’m a bit late, but let’s get this thing going.
Donna, Michael, and Allen sit as the music begins to play. Grant thinks back to his conversation a few minutes ago about the “delivery” which puts a smile on his face, then he notices Jack and Paulina walk in together, and his smile turns quickly to a frown.
The double doors that connect the foyer and the front are opened, and Stacey is the first to walk down the aisle. Lindsay, Felicia, and Frankie do the same and take their places.
IN THE FOYER, Cass looks at Charlie smiling as the organist begins to play “Here Comes the Bride”. Cass sighs.
Cass: Time for me to give away my little girl. Are you ready?
    Charlie: Yes dad. Sure am.
The guests stand up and marvel at how Charlie looks in her wedding dress, as Cass escorts her down the aisle. Cass sits down in left pew up front, and leaves Charlie standing opposite Kirkland, as the two prepare to finally be married.

Amanda is in her office, sitting at her desk on the phone.
Amanda: You’re coming back to Bay City? When? Oh wow that soon. Of course. Mom will be thrilled. Me, too little brother. I sure could use the help at CP.
Iris walks in as Amanda looks up at her, and finishes up her conversation.
Amanda: I have to go. A vulture just flew in.
Iris: How apropo that you use that metaphor.
Amanda: Coming to get the rest of your things?
Amanda focuses on her monitor as she starts to type something.
Iris: I gave you a chance to work with me when I took over Cory Productions, and you called the police.
Amanda: I did what was right.
    Iris: You betrayed me.
Amanda: Shouldn’t you be answering to accessory charges?
Iris: That’s part of why I came to see you; to tell you the wonderful news.
Amanda: You’re going to jail? That would be great.
Iris: No. I’m not. Nice try, but did you really think you were gonna get rid of me that easily?
Amanda: I guess we were as effective as roach spray.
Iris: You making all these animal and pest references toward me are not becoming.
Amanda: They fit though, just like the orange jumpsuit you’re gonna be wearing.
Iris: Oh little sister, that won’t be happening.
Amanda: Did you use your Spaulding money to pay someone off?
Iris: Money was not necessary. Apparently the evidence you turned over to the police wasn’t enough. They dropped the charges.
Amanda looks up from her monitor as Iris has gotten her attention.
    Amanda: You’re lying.
Iris: It looks like you, Matthew, Paulina, and Michael are stuck with me.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT THE WEDDING...Michael and Donna are sitting together in the pew looking up front at Kirkland and Charlie at the altar.
    Michael: Look at our grandson.
Donna: He’s just as handsome as you were...at our second wedding.
Michael: And the first, third and fourth.
Meanwhile, Kirkland and Charlie are hand in hand, facing each other, with Frankie, Felicia, Lindsay, and Stacey on Charlie’s side, and Steven and Grant on Kirkland’s side as Minister Jones starts to marry them...as Eric Stenbeck creeps into the foyer, staring directly down the aisle at the couple.
Minister Jones: I’m not gonna go through all the formalities, and all that other stuff. We all know why we came here today in the presence of God. We want to see Kirkland Harrison and Charlotte Frame-Winthrop get married. I have to ask the question though. If there’s any reason that these two shouldn’t be joined together, speak now, or forever hold your peace.
Eric then flashes back to the flash drive he has of Kirkland sleeping with the bartender at Genoa City Athletic Club. Nobody responds, so the minister continues. Meanwhile, Cory and Bridget, who are sitting together on the same side of Kirkland’s family, steal a short little conversation started by Bridget putting on her lip gloss.
Cory: Come on what are you doing? Put that thing away.
Bridget: A girl’s gotta look good.
    Cory: You look fine.
Bridget: This is my favorite. I almost left it in my room.
Cory: Oh no, that would’ve been horrible.
Bridget: You think you’re funny right? I got the weirdest feeling when I was coming downstairs from my room.
Cory: Oh I know. You got your lip gloss out of your room but forgot your lips.
Bridget: No, I’m being serious. It’s probably the same feeling you get about Elizabeth.
    Cory: That twin feeling?
Bridget: Yeah. It was like Michele was close by.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT THE MCKINNONS...Michele has just learned that she can’t read. Rachel and Carl try to ease her pain as Rachel sits next to Michele. Carl is sitting in the adjacent chair.
Rachel: I agree with Carl, but I bet it’s just temporary.
Carl: You’ve had a traumatic injury. You were struck by a vehicle.
Michele: People get hit by cars all the time. They can still read! Can I...have a moment alone?
    Rachel: Sure...sure you can.
Carl: We’ll be right outside if you need us.
Michele: Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Hutchins...so much.
Rachel and Carl walk out the door, but Rachel leaves her cell phone on the coffee table, and Michele notices it.
Carl: Something’s a little off Rachel. Something isn’t right.
Rachel: I agree. I’m concerned about her.
    Carl: I am, too.
Rachel: Perhaps we should stay with her until Jake and Vicky come home.
Michele opens the door and hears what Carl and Rachel are saying.
Carl: That might take a while.
Rachel: Kirkland and Charlie’s wedding is today isn’t it?
    Carl: Yes.
Rachel: They’re gonna have reception at Tops. Yeah Jake and Vicky might not be home for hours.
    Michele slowly shuts the door.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT THE CHURCH...Kirkland and Charlie have already exchanged rings, and now Minister Jones asks Kirkland and Charlie the question they’ve been waiting to hear.
Minister Jones: Do you, Kirkland Harrison, take Charlotte Frame-Winthrop to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold from this day forward, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, forsaking all others, till death do you part?
    Kirkland: I do.
Minister Jones: Do you, Charlotte Frame-Winthrop, take Kirkland Harrison to be your lawfully wedded husband? To have and to hold from this day forward, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, forsaking all others, till death do you part?
    Charlie: I do.
Minister Jones: By the power vested in me, and the State of Illinois, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You can kiss her.
Kirkland caresses Charlie’s cheeks and kisses her. Meanwhile, Eric is outside in the foyer watching and utters “liar” to himself.

    AT CORY PRODUCTIONS…
Amanda: I had more than enough proof to put you away.
Iris: I stopped there on the way to seeing my granddaughter Sarah. They couldn’t prove that I knew what Tucker was doing.
Amanda: What about the money transfers?
Iris: I had no way of knowing that Tucker was going to buy poisoned paint. All I knew was that he was doing a reality show. I had nothing to do with what happened.
Amanda: Well don’t think about trying to take over Cory Productions again, because I won’t let you.
Iris: That’s another reason why I came.
    Amanda: It’s not for sale.
Iris: I have no interest in taking over daddy’s company.
Amanda: I have to go meet Allen.
    Amanda walks to the door.
Iris: Don’t you wanna know what I found out while I was out of town?
Amanda: Let me guess. You fed on carcasses.
Iris: Hmm on the vulture thing again huh? Unfortunately I didn’t scavenge for the info I found.
Amanda: For God’s sake just spit it out!
Iris: Okay here it goes. Martin Hudson is the Cory heir.
Amanda: He’s dead. He and Michael were twins.
Iris: Daddy only fathered one of them, and it was Martin, not Michael. Michael is as much a Cory as a...vulture.
Amanda: So what does all this supposed to mean? If Martin was the Cory heir and he died, it passed onto Michael because he wasn’t married, and he didn’t have any children.
Iris: And you’re sure about that?
Amanda: So...the Cory heir is still out there, and you know who it is, don’t you?
Iris: No sis, I don’t, but what I do know, is that I will not forget how you betrayed me. You’ll wish you didn’t.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    OUTSIDE THE MCKINNONS HOUSE…
Rachel: I’m not even sure what we’re gonna tell Cory when we get home.
Carl: We’re gonna have to make him understand why. We would have put him in danger if we told where you had taken me.
Rachel: Now that it’s public knowledge that Reginald’s alive, he’s out of danger. He might be a little more accepting of why I couldn’t tell him where you were.
Carl: We have to call him.
Rachel: Of course. Wait a minute where’s my phone?
    Carl: Let’s check inside.
Carl and Rachel go inside and Rachel retrieves her cell phone, but they don’t see Michele. Rachel calls out for her, and no response.
Rachel: My God where is she?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT TOPS...The elevator doors open and Amanda, dressed in a short, off white dress and matching open toed heels, walks in. She sees all the wedding guests have all arrived and settled in at their round tables. The four level wedding cake is on a table next to the terrace. She spots Allen and walks over to him. Allen is at a table with Michael and Donna.
Allen: Hey babe. So glad you didn’t get stuck at the office.
    Amanda: Me, too. Donna, Michael.
Donna: Hi there Amanda. You missed a wonderful ceremony.
Amanda: I wish I could have made. Michael, may I talk to you for a moment?
    Michael: Sure.
Michael gets up and he and Amanda go to a semi- private spot.
    Michael: What’s up?
Amanda: Iris came by the office. She knows the truth.
    Michael: About Martin?
Amanda: Yes, and she hinted that Martin may have a child or a wife.
Michael: If they’re out there, then they would inherit everything that Mac left for my brother.
    Amanda: Including Cory Productions.
    -------
Meanwhile, Cory and Bridget are sitting together.
Cory: Your brother and my niece look so happy.
Bridget: They sure do. I hope I can be as happy as they are. I’m going to the ladies’ room. I’ll be right back.
Then Cass goes to the center of the room and asks for everyone’s attention.
Cass: It’s time for the bride and groom’s first dance.
Kirkland takes Charlie’s hand and escorts to the center of the floor as “If I Didn’t Have You” by Amanda Marshall starts to be played. As the song plays, the newlyweds look in each other’s eye the whole time.
    For the other couples...
Cass and Frankie are dancing together...
Frankie: I don’t want to wake up. These last few days seem like a dream.
    Cass: It’s real baby.
Frankie looks over at John and Sharlene...
Frankie: I want everybody to be this happy.
John looks at Sharlene, he extends his hand so they can dance together, but she grabs her purse, gets up, and walks away from the table. She walks by Felicia and Mitch, who are dancing together. Mitch watches Sharlene, Felicia looks at a dejected John, and then they look back at each other.
Gregory and Lindsay, while dancing, also saw what happened between John and Sharlene.
Lindsay: Wow. I hope your parents work things out.
Gregory: Trust me it’s...probably for the best.
Lindsay: Maybe you should go after her.
Gregory: No I...think she should be alone.
Jake and Vicky sit at their table.
    Vicky: So...you don’t wanna dance?
Jake: Vicky I’m not doing this here.
Vicky: Doing what? I just asked you to dance.
Jake: I still don’t trust you. I don’t know if I ever will.
Vicky: You want to throw away everything we’ve meant to each other?
Jake: You did that when you decided to keep the truth from me about Lindsay.
Vicky: You’re never gonna forgive me for that are you?
Vicky gets up and leaves the table.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sharlene approaches the bar near the elevator.

Sharlene: Double scotch please; on the rocks.

The elevator doors open and Michele, dressed in blue jeans, white sneakers, and a blue t-shirt, walks out. She notices Cory alone and smiles. Bridget unknowingly walks right by Michele, and Michele hides behind a large plant. Bridget suddenly stops.

Bridget: Oh my God. That feeling again.

Bridget continues to walk through the dancing couples, Michele re-emerges and decides to follow Bridget, but stops when Bridget joins Cory on the dance floor.

Bridget: I got that feeling again.

Cory: The one you were talking about at the church?

Bridget: Yep. It’s like I feel Michele. Almost as if she’s here.

A dejected Michele backs away, turns around, and goes to the elevator. Vicky comes up behind her.

Vicky: Hi. Can I help you? Are you looking for someone?

Michele is seemingly frozen, as she hears her mother’s voice for the first time in a very long time.

    PART 1
CAR - Rachel and Carl are being driven…
Rachel: I wonder how she got away from us.
    Carl: We were careful.
Rachel: We left her only for a few minutes.
Carl: It reminds me of when you and I took care of Perry. He was an adventurous lad. We had to watch him every single second. If we turned our backs, he would disappear.
Rachel pauses and looks at Carl a little puzzled at his mention of Perry.
Rachel: Cory was a pretty obedient kid. Elizabeth was the wanderer.
    Carl: We’ll find Michele.
Rachel: I have a pretty good idea of where she went.
Carl: If she’s gone to Tops and tries to tell them who she is, nobody’s gonna recognize her.
Rachel: Reginald certainly had plans to keep Michele away from the McKinnons, that’s why he changed her face. Hopefully we can get there before she does, so we can tell her family.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOPS - Kirkland and Charlie are slow dancing, as they gaze into each other’s eyes..
    Kirkland: Mrs. Harrison.
    Charlie: That’s me.
    Kirkland: How are you feeling?
Charlie: Alive; happy; overjoyed. Today’s just perfect.
    Kirkland: Just one thing missing.
Charlie: What’s that? That I haven’t thrown the bouquet yet?
Kirkland: No. My sister Michele. I wish she was alive to see this.
    Charlie: Her spirit is here.
Kirkland: You ready to throw the bouquet?
    Charlie: Yep.
Kirkland: You gotta stand over there where my mom is.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michele emerges from behind a large plant and decides to follow Bridget into the crowd of dancing guests, but stops when Bridget joins Cory on the dance floor.
Bridget: I got that feeling again.
Cory: The one you were talking about at the church?
Bridget: Yep. It’s like I feel Michele. Almost as if she’s here.
Cory: Of course she’s here. Kirkland’s getting married. Your mom, dad, grandma, grandpa are all here. Steven’s back in town. Michele wouldn’t miss this day at all.
A dejected Michele backs away, turns around, and goes to the elevator. Vicky comes up behind her.
Vicky: Hi. Can I help you? Are you looking for someone?
Michele is seemingly frozen, as she hears her mother’s voice for the first time in a very long time, and turns around to face Vicky, and is shocked to see Vicky.
Vicky: Hello? I asked you a question. This is a private party.
Kirkland interrupts the encounter by tapping Vicky on her left shoulder. Vicky turns around.
    Vicky: Kirkland what’s up?
Kirkland: Mom you gotta move out the way for a second. Charlie’s about to throw the bouquet.
Vicky: Of course honey. I’m sorry I was just talking to…
Vicky turns back around and no longer sees Michele. Vicky blows it off and goes back to her seat as Charlie takes her place. Some women, including Stacey, Lindsay, Paulina, Donna, and Amanda take their places as Charlie goes to where Vicky was so she can throw the bouquet.
    Charlie: Are you guys ready?
The women scream “yeah” seemingly all at once. Meanwhile, Cory and Bridget are together.
Cory: Aren’t you gonna try to catch the bouquet?
Bridget: No. I’m right where I wanna be.
Charlie turns her back to the crowd and counts to three. She tosses the bouquet backward, and Paulina catches it. Paulina looks surprised as the women clap for her. Vicky walks up to Paulina as Jack rejoins Paulina.
Vicky: Looks like someone’s gonna get maaaarried.
Paulina: Oh Vicky don’t be silly.
Vicky: I think Joe would want you to move on.
    Jack: I agree.
Paulina: These are so beautiful. I need to put these in water.
Jack: That means I’ll have to take you home. Let me go call my daughter.
    Meanwhile, Donna finds Vicky...
Vicky: Why didn’t you catch the bouquet?
Donna: I certainly don’t need to catch flowers to get married Victoria. Have you heard from Tyrone and Marley?
Vicky: Marley’s not feeling well so Tyrone stayed home with her.
    Donna: Right. Bed rest.
Vicky: She sends her regards though.
Donna: Wow I can’t believe I’m gonna be a grandmother again soon. She’s almost due.
Vicky: Little Roman is gonna have all of his family there for him. His grandpa Michael, grandma Donna, Uncle Allen, Aunt Vicky…
Donna: And what about Uncle Jake?
Vicky: To be honest, I have no idea how it’s gonna turn out with him.
    Back on Cory and Bridget…
    Cory: Is that right?
    Bridget: Yep...that’s right.
Cory: I’m...where I wanna be, too.
They gaze at each other for a moment, then they engage in a French kiss. Michele re-emerges from behind the large plant and sees Cory and Bridget kissing. She is dejected...and angered, as the elevator doors open. Michele goes into the elevator so she can leave.
CAMERA PAN ON MICHELE AS THE ELEVATOR DOORS CLOSE...SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

    PART 2
Grant approaches Paulina, who is holding the bouquet.
    Grant: Hello there.
Paulina: Hi Grant. Where’s your dad?
Grant: He’s not gonna make it. His flight got cancelled.
Paulina: Oh. I certainly didn’t think Spencer would miss his grandson’s wedding.
Grant: He sent his best, so are you enjoying your date with Jack?
Paulina: It’s not a date Grant. Just two friends going to a wedding.
Grant: I saw you and him at the church. There’s more than just a platonic friendship going on.
Paulina: Grant please this is not the time…
Grant: I felt that way about you. I still do.
    Paulina: Grant---
Grant: I love you Paulina. I felt so bad for you and Dante, especially after Joe died.
Paulina: You don’t have to explain yourself.
Grant: There’s not a day that goes by I don’t think about what I almost did to you and Dante.
Paulina: That was a long long time ago. We’re both different, and I’ve forgiven you for starting that fire.
Grant: You’ve always had a place in my heart, even though our lives went in very different directions.
Paulina: I’m very grateful for what you’ve done for us, but I...I don’t feel that way about you...Grant.
Grant: Paulina...please. Give me a chance to show you how happy you could be.
    Jack walks up to them.
    Jack: You heard the lady.
Grant: I was having a conversation with Paulina.
Jack: She doesn’t need you in her life, neither does Dante.
Grant: And that’s because you’re the alternative?
Jack: I’m not gonna let you hurt her again.
Grant: Just like you’re doing to your wife?
Jack goes face to face with Grant.
Jack: You shut up about Carly.
Jake gets between them to possibly prevent a fight.
Jake: Look guys I’m not gonna let you do this here; not at Kirkland’s wedding.
Meanwhile, Bridget and Cory walk up to Kirkland and Charlie.
    Kirkland: Hey squirt.
    Bridget: Congratulations. Both of you.
Charlie: Thank you. We’re family now.
Bridget: That’s right. Hey, Cory and I are leaving.
Charlie: Oh no. Are you sure you can’t stay?
Cory: I wanna be home in case my mom arrives.
Charlie: Is Carl, I mean my grandfather, coming home?
Cory: I don’t know. My mom hasn’t told me anything.
Kirkland: So you’re gonna take my sister home?
    Cory: Yep.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT THE MCKINNONS...Michele walks into the living room, and goes over to a mantle that has all the family pictures on it. She looks at Jake and Vicky’s picture, then at Kirkland’s picture. She then looks at Steven’s picture and smiles. She looks next at a picture of her holding a book up with her old face, then she sees Bridget’s picture, and frowns. She then has some flashbacks…
(EPISODE 13 at the McKinnons house)
Vicky: She’s going to Harvard in the fall.
Michele: Mom I didn’t decide yet.
Vicky: Oh I’m sorry. She’s trying to decide between Harvard or Columbia.
    Donna: My scholarly granddaughter.

    ------

    (EPISODE 179 at the McKinnons)
Michele: What’s going on? You guys keep looking at each other.
    Rachel: You can’t…
    Michele: Read? I can’t read? That’s impossible.
Carl: It could be a result of your brain injury. You may have to re-learn.
Michele: Learn how to read? I don’t have time for that! I was accepted to Harvard, now you’re telling me I might be illiterate?

    ----

(EPISODE 12 at BAY CITY CENTER)
Cory and Michele are at a table. Cory's hand is on top of Michele's.
    Cory: You excited?
Michele: Yeah it's been like magic. I can't believe this is actually happening.
Cory: Yeah. Me neither. You're going to Harvard. I'm going to Boston University.
Michele: And we're going to the prom tomorrow.
Cory: I've loved you since eighth grade.
    Michele: Have you?
Cory: Of course I have. You don't believe me?
Michele: If you give me a kiss, I might.

    ----------

    (EPISODE 14 - At the prom…)
Michele sees the water bottle on the table, and grabs it before Bridget can take it from her. She opens it and smells the vodka.
    Michele: No. You got drunk.
Cory: It's just punch. Bridget gave it to me.
    Michele: Bridget didn't do this...
Michele flashes back to when Vicky told her that Bridget opened her first Harvard acceptance letter.
Michele: Did you open the letter?
Bridget: What are you talking about?
Michele: My first acceptance letter from Harvard. Did you open it?
Bridget: Yes! I did! You're happy now? You and mom must work for the same firm.
    Michele: Why?
Bridget: Because they love you more than me! You're smart. You've got a boyfriend. What do I have?
Michele: My God you're jealous! That's why you were kissing my boyfriend!
Bridget: Now do I have your attention?
    (EPISODE 181 at Tops)
Michele re-emerges from behind the large plant and sees Cory and Bridget kissing. She is dejected...and angered, as the elevator doors open.
Then she flashes back to the present…
She picks Bridget’s picture up, and looks at it some more. Michele’s anger grows as she keeps replaying in her mind what Bridget said (Now do I have your attention?) She screams throws the picture against the staircase, which breaks the glass on the picture as it falls to the floor. Next, she goes to the closet, gets a bat out, walks over to the door, and opens it. She looks to see if anyone’s there, then strikes the door with the bat as screams loudly, creating a dent in it. She follows that up by hitting the doorknob, causing it to fall off. Michele re-enters the living room, and hits the back of the couch with the bat. The couch falls on its front.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, outside, Bridget is backing up to the door as Cory holds as the two are unknowingly synchronizing their steps closer to the damaged door. They do not notice the door, and they do not notice that Michele, who no longer has the bat, hears Cory and Bridget. She opens the door slightly, and watches them.
    Cory: You’re home.
Bridget: I don’t want this day to end.
    Cory: It...doesn’t have to.
They French kiss, then they unlock lips as Bridget smiles.
Bridget: My parents aren’t gonna be home for a while.
    Cory: Hmmm.
They face the door and notice the dent, and the missing doorknob.
    Bridget: Oh my God.
Cory: Who did this to the door?
Bridget: Someone must have broken in.
    Cory: Wait.
Cory pushes the front door open, and he and Bridget see the couch and chair turned over. They also see knocked over lamps, broken light bulbs, and broken glass.
Bridget: Call the police. Someone definitely broke in here.
As Cory takes out his cell phone and calls the police, Bridget slowly walks toward the staircase and picks up her portrait, which is still in the frame, in broken glass. Cory comes to Bridget.
Cory: Police are on their way.
Bridget shows him her picture with the broken glass portrait.
Bridget: Look at this. My picture.
Bridget then directs Cory to the mantle.
Cory: Everybody’s picture is still up there.
Bridget: Someone took my picture and threw it at the staircase. Why only my picture? Who would’ve done this? Who broke in here?
Michele emerges from the top of the staircase.
    Michele: I did.
Cory and Bridget, unknowingly, see Michele.

Special Appearance by Maura West as Carly Snyder
STACEY’S APARTMENT...Stacey is in the living room with Cass and Frankie.
Stacey: You two must be so happy. I’ll be feeling the same way when Lindsay ties the knot.
Frankie: You will, and we’ll be right here helping you just as you helped us.
Cass: And you gotta make sure she marries the right guy.
Frankie: Cass, your niece is strong and smart. I’m sure she’ll make the right decision where that’s concerned.
Stacey: I want the best for Lindsay.
    Cass: Of course you do.
Stacey: I want her to be happy...happier than I am.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT THE HUDSONS...Gregory comes downstairs while Lindsay gets up from the couch and faces Gregory.
    Lindsay: How’s your mom?
    Gregory: She’s out cold.
Lindsay: Bet she’s gonna have a killer headache in the morning.
Gregory: She had a lot to drink. I’ve never seen mom go off like that.
Lindsay: A lot of people seemed surprised.
    Gregory: I guess she’s just...tired of...everything.
    Lindsay: How do you mean?
Gregory: That whole thing with dad and Felicia.
Gregory puts his arms around Lindsay’s waist as Lindsay looks up at her boyfriend.
Lindsay: It’s taken a toll on all of you.
Gregory: I can’t help but think that I had a part in it, too.
Lindsay: You wanting to protect your mother?
Gregory: You think I went too far?
Lindsay: I...do think you overreacted a bit. You didn’t have any solid proof that John and Felicia were having an affair.
Gregory: I just don’t wanna lose my mom again. I don’t wanna see her sad anymore, like she was the first time dad cheated on her.
Lindsay: Guess we...both have that in common. We both worry about our moms.
    Gregory: Is Stacey okay?
Lindsay: She puts on a brave front. She stays busy with work and then we were in Charlie’s wedding, but deep down, I see a sadness in her, too. Ever since she broke up with Derek.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cass: Stace you’ll find it. Just as Frankie and I have.
    Stacey: From your lips.
Frankie: That’s right. Cass and I are not gonna let anything come between us this time.
    Cass: Not even Christy Carson.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GRANT’S HOUSE...Grant undoes his bowtie and when Christy walks in, he turns his attentions to her.
Grant: What the hell do you think were doing? Showing up at my son’s wedding reception!
Christy: Relax Grant! You’re not half as concerned about Kirkland as you are about yourself.
Grant: What are you talking about? Of course I’m concerned about my son’s happiness.
Christy: Oh please. I wasn’t going to tell everyone that you were the one who got me out of prison. I saw you sweating bullets when you saw me and my son.
Grant: You never mentioned that you had a son.
    Christy: You never asked.
Grant: With James Stenbeck no less.
Christy: Wasn’t it you who said this was a business arrangement?
Grant: Some things you should disclose to the people you’re working with.
Christy: I owed you no explanation about Eric. The only thing I need to tell you is that the recipient of your delivery should be seeing its contents as we speak.
    Grant smiles.
Grant: Good work, and let the destruction of Jack Snyder begin.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IN FRONT OF PAULINA’S HOUSE...Jack and Paulina walk arm in arm toward the door and stop. Paulina is holding the bouquet in her other hand.
Paulina: What a reception that was. Never a dull moment.
Jack: I still can’t believe that James Stenbeck had a fourth son.
Paulina: I think you mentioned that to me once.
Jack: Let’s see he’s got David Stenbeck, Paul Ryan, Henry Coleman, and now Eric.
Paulina: From what I’ve heard he was really evil. Were any of his sons like him?
    Jack: Only David, so far.
Paulina (sighing): Why don’t we talk about something positive?
    Jack (smiling): Like what?
Paulina: The great time we had tonight. I’m glad you took me to the wedding.
Jack: And to think you were hesitant when I asked you to go with me.
Meanwhile, a mystery person watches them from a real short distance.
Paulina (smiling): I’m sure you understand my apprehension.
Jack: You just need to relax a bit.
They face each other, give each other a look, and as they lean in to kiss, Carly Snyder, the mystery person, stops them by appearing and gets their attention, and she walks directly up to them.
Carly: Wow Jack! The ink isn’t even dry on the separation papers yet, and you’ve moved on?
Jack: What are you doing here Carly?
Carly: I knew something was happening between you two, and this confirmed it.
Carly shows Jack a picture of him and Paulina in the Center when Paulina put her right hand on Jack’s left hand on the table (taken by Eric), and Jack and Paulina are shocked.

    PART 2
Christy: Wow you really hate him don’t you?
Grant: I don’t hate anyone Christy.
Christy: What did Jack Snyder ever do to you?
Grant: He’s got what I want. He’s got who I want.
Christy: Paulina Carlino. From what I’ve heard about her I don’t see the appeal.
Grant: She’s a lovely, sweet, good person.
Christy: She came to Bay City to get her cut of Mac Cory’s money, and she shot Jake McKinnon. What makes her so wholesome all of a sudden. Nobody’s using those adjectives about me.
Grant: You poisoned your husband to death. You shouldn’t expect people to welcome you with open arms,
Christy: And by people, you mean Cass and Mary Frances.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cass: Come on sis don’t talk like that. You’ll find happiness, too.
Frankie: Look at what you have. You have your brother, you have me, you have a wonderful daughter, and Charlie.
Stacey: You guys are so sweet, and it’s true. I have all of that, but what I don’t have; what I’m devoid of, is the man that I love.
Cass: Stacey, honey, you’ve gotta try to move on. The wedding probably brought up all these emotions for you, but he’s not available.
Frankie: Who are you guys talking about?
Stacey: I might as well tell you. I’m still in love with Lindsay’s father.
Frankie: Jake? My God. He’s very married.
Stacey: You don’t have to tell me twice, and I’m very well aware of that, but the heart wants what it wants. That’s what I mean about Lindsay. I don’t want her to make the same mistakes I did. I want her to live a happy, prosperous life.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gregory: Our parents think that they’re the only ones who worry.
Lindsay: I thought my mom and Derek would be together forever.
Gregory: I thought the same about my parents. I don’t know what’s gonna happen to them.
Lindsay: One of the things I love about you.
    Gregory: Ohh what’s that?
Lindsay: That you’re crazy. You followed your dad when he went to see Felicia?
Gregory: I’m not proud of that.
    Lindsay: I’m kidding.
Gregory: Oh...the comedienne has delivered one of her jokes.
    Lindsay: Hmmmm.
They kiss and then Lindsay starts wincing.
    Gregory: What’s wrong?
Lindsay: I think I got an upset stomach. It won’t settle down.
Gregory: Something you ate at the reception?
Lindsay: I dunno. Might be just gas.
Gregory: I think we got some antacid. I'll get it for you.
Lindsay sits down on the couch as Gregory goes to the kitchen.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grant: You didn’t know anybody else in Bay City when you were here before did you?
Christy: No I didn’t. I thought they were my friends.
Grant: Are you really gonna play the victim here? You were obsessed with Cass back then, and you still are.
Christy: Well Mary Frances forgave me.
Grant: Come on I know you’re smarter than that. Do you really think Frankie just forgot everything you’ve done; that you carefully planned to get her out of the way so you can have a clear path to Cass?
    Christy: I didn’t want that.
Grant: Sure you did Christy. You were fixated on Mr. Winthrop over twenty years ago, but what gives now? You got released from that mental health facility. You and your son could have left and started over in another place, but you decided to stay in Bay City. What are you up to?
Christy says nothing, but she looks at Grant in a way that answers his question.
Grant: My God. You’re trying to get revenge. How do you plan on doing that?
Christy: My plans for Cass are none of your concern. You need to worry about Paulina, and your fixation on her.
Grant: For the record, I am not obsessed with anyone.
Christy: Right. You're too self absorbed for that.
Grant: Jack is the one that needs to worry. Thanks to you, I’ve begun the process...of bringing him down.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jack: This picture doesn’t prove anything.
    Paulina: Who took this?
Carly: Does that matter? You two have been sneaking around.
Paulina: Jack had just gotten the separation papers from you when this picture was taken. He was devastated! Jack and I are friends.
Carly: From the looks of things it seems like it’s going to be a lot more.
    Jack: You’re jumping to conclusions.
Paulina: There’s nothing going on between me and Jack. I’m sure Jack has told you that a hundred times.
Carly: Are you proud of yourself Paulina? Frolicking around Bay City with someone else’s husband!
Paulina: Jack is a decent man, and you take him for granted!
    Carly: He is still married!
    Paulina: You wanted a separation!
Carly: You need to butt the hell out!
Jack: Ladies! This isn’t getting us anywhere. Paulina let me talk to Carly alone please.
Carly: Oh no need for that. I had to see for myself how close you two have gotten, and I’ve seen enough. When I get back to Oakdale, I’m gonna call Jessica Griffin and file for divorce. This marriage is over! Happy homewrecking Paulina. You can marry Jack since it looks like you caught the bouquet.
    Paulina: Bitch!
Carly walks off. Jack calls for her and begins to go after her, but Paulina stops him.
    Paulina: Jack wait. Don’t go.
Jack: I gotta talk to her.
Paulina: She’s made up her mind. Don’t chase after someone who doesn’t want to be with you. Stay with someone who does. I love you Jack.
Paulina pulls Jack into a passionate kiss.

BAY CITY CENTER, Jack is sitting at a table, and he has one flashback…
    (EPISODE 185)
Jack: Ladies! This isn’t getting us anywhere. Paulina let me talk to Carly alone please.
Carly: Oh no need for that. I had to see for myself how close you two have gotten, and I’ve seen enough. When I get back to Oakdale, I’m gonna call Jessica Griffin and file for divorce. This marriage is over! Happy homewrecking Paulina. You can marry Jack since it looks like you caught the bouquet.
    Then another flashback (EPISODE 185)
Paulina: She’s made up her mind. Don’t chase after someone who doesn’t want to be with you. Stay with someone who does. I love you Jack.
Paulina pulls Jack into a passionate kiss.
Then Jack flashes back to the present, and takes a nervous deep breath. Suddenly, he feels a hand on his right shoulder. He looks up and smiles at the familiar face...Vicky.
    Vicky: Hey friend. Long time.
Jack: Hey Vick. Have a seat.
Vicky: You look like I feel.
    Jack: Torn up.
Vicky: Let me guess, both of our problems are with our spouses.
Jack: That’s the last time we talked isn’t it?
Vicky: We really should be better friends to each other.
Jack: Carly filed for a separation.
Vicky: My, I’m sorry about that. You must be devastated.
Jack: I am, but I’m torn.
Vicky: I saw you at my son’s wedding with Paulina. Wow, have you and Paulina been seeing each other?
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CORY MANSION...Someone rings the doorbell and Carl answers it, and smiles.
    Carl: Paulina!
    Paulina: May I come in?
    Carl: Of course of course.
    The two hug.
Paulina: Rachel called and told me you were back. It’s great to see you Carl.
Carl: Likewise. How have you been?
    Paulina smiles.
    Paulina: Never better.
    Carl: You look happy.
Rachel joins them in the foyer.
Rachel: I agree with Carl. You’re glowing.
Paulina: I feel..happier than I’ve been in a long time.
    Rachel: What happened?
Paulina continues to smile at Carl and Rachel.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Jack continues his conversation with Vicky at the Center...
    Jack: No..not exactly.
Vicky: Not exactly? Your wife filed for a separation. The next step is…
Jack: Divorce? She threatened that, too.
Vicky: And it looks like you’re not gonna even fight for your marriage.
Jack: I really think it’s over for Carly and me.
Vicky: Is that what you guys do when you decide not work things out?
    Vicky looks away from Jack.
Vicky: After everything you and Carly have been through together? You’re just gonna...let it go?
Jack: Are we talking about me? Or Jake?
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LOVE MANSION...Jake rings the doorbell and Michele answers it.
    Jake: Hey there.
    Michele: Dad.
The two embrace in the foyer
Michele: Are you looking for mom? She went out, and I don’t know where Bridget is.
Jake: No...actually I came to talk to you. We have sooo much catching up to do.
    Michele: Right.
Jake: How are you feeling? Do you need anything?
    Michele: Umm...no.
Michele shuts the front door, and walks past Jake into the living room. He follows her.
Jake: Honey are you sure that you’re okay?
Michele: I’m fine. I’m just trying to get adjusted to life back at home again.
    Jake: Is that all?
Michele: Dad? What are you getting at?
Jake: I know what you did at the house.
Michele: I ransacked the living room. So what?
    Jake: That’s not all.
    Michele: Then what is it?
Jake: You smashed Bridget’s picture didn’t you?

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    PART 2
Rachel, Paulina, and Carl are in the living room of the Cory Mansion sitting on the couch.
Paulina: Everything seemed to fall into place after Kirkland and I talked.
    Carl: So he forgave you?
Paulina: Not exactly. He never resented me for what I did all those years ago.
Rachel: Kirkland is a very mature young man. It doesn’t surprise me that he understood.
Paulina: He actually thanked me for saving his life. He said if it wasn’t for me, he wouldn’t be able to marry Charlie, and he invited me to his wedding. I mean I thought I’d be the last person he would want at his ceremony.
Carl: Kirkland is a way better man this his father.
Rachel: Carl...so Paulina what else happened?
Paulina: I was on the phone with my daughter, and she helped me to see that it may be time for to move on, then Jack insisted, sort of, that he take me to Kirkland and Charlie’s wedding. I caught the bouquet, and Jack and I kissed. Well...I kissed him.
Rachel: That all sounds lovely but isn’t he still married?
Paulina: I was hesitant for a long time because of that, but he and Carly have been having problems ever since he got hired by the Bay City Police, and I’m tired of waiting. Sometimes you have to just go for what you want. If you wait for the right time, it’ll never come. This has been building up since he broke up a fight between me and Iris. We were friends long before Carly came into the picture. She was so awful toward him.
Carl: I’m gonna go upstairs and lie down.
    Rachel: Sure honey.
Carl walks out and Rachel looks at Carl with concern, but then she turns her attentions to Paulina.
Rachel: Paulina, honey, I love you like a daughter, and I’m going to be honest with you. I don’t think you should pursue this with Jack.
    Paulina: Who’s pursuing something?
Rachel: You’re getting your hopes up and I think you could be making a big mistake. Jack and Carly have been in each other’s lives for a very long time. He might not be willing just to let that go.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Vicky snaps her finger.
    Vicky: Ya got me.
Jack: If you don’t wanna talk about it...
    Vicky: I screwed up...big time.
    Jack: How?
    Vicky: I lied to Jake.
Jack: Oh no...Vicky. What did you do?
Vicky: I didn’t tell him that Lindsay Winthrop was his daughter.
Jack: Wait a minute. She was one of the bridesmaids right?
    Vicky: Yep.
Jack: She’s Jake’s daughter. Why didn’t you tell him?
Vicky: Because I wanted to protect my family, and him.
Jack: Does Lindsay pose some kind of threat?
Vicky: No no no nothing like that, but we were just getting past the loss of Michele, whom we got back by the way, and…
    Jack: Wait a minute...Michele?
    Vicky: Yeah long story...my grandfather.
Jack: Yeah I know all about him.
Vicky: He actually saved her life, but enough about him.
Jack: Yeah about Jake. You were afraid he would neglect you and Bridget. Vicky you didn’t trust him, just like Carly didn’t trust me.
Vicky: And...we both gave our spouses reason not to.
Jack: Carly says she’s filing for divorce.
Vicky: And Jake might, too. I get the feeling he doesn’t want to fight for our marriage.
Vicky gets a text on her cell phone.
    Vicky: Oh I...I gotta go.
    Jack: So quickly.
Vicky: The cleaning company I hired just texted me. The living room is clean again.
Jack: Oh wow. We were just gettin warmed up.
Vicky: So we can move back in. I guess I’ll find out soon how Jake really feels.
Jack: You better keep in touch.
    Vicky (smiling): Will do.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michele: What are you talking about?
Jake: Bridget’s picture frame...on the mantle. Everybody else’s picture was intact, but hers was the only one that was smashed.
Michele: I dunno I must have hit it by mistake. It wasn’t on purpose.
Jake: Why did you even do that? Why did you tear up the living room like that? Is there something you wanna talk about?
Vicky walks in and interrupts them.
Vicky: Hey I was wondering where everybody was.
    Michele: Mom hey.
Michele goes and hugs Vicky, as Vicky unknowingly saved Michele from Jake finding out why Michele tore up the McKinnons living room.
Vicky: The house is clean now. We can all move back in.
Michele: Great. I’ll go get my things.
Michele gladly goes upstairs and Vicky turns to Jake.
Vicky: I see Michele’s excited to go back to her room.
Jake: Vicky I was having an important conversation with her.
Vicky: Well I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to interrupt. Guess I’m just excited to be able to go back home.
    Jake: I’m not going.
Vicky: What do you mean? Of course you’re coming home. We just got Michele back.
    Jake: Vicky....I’m not coming home.

ALLEN’S SUITE - Amanda is on her cell phone while in the bed with Allen.
Amanda: You’ve got things there? Good. Gives me some extra time with my man. Thanks Matt.
Amanda hangs up, puts her phone on the nightstand, and turns her attentions to Allen. She snuggles up against him.
Amanda: I got an extra couple hours.
She kisses him on his chest, but he doesn’t seem to be responding.
Amanda: Baby are you alright? I thought you liked my kisses.
Allen: I love them. I’m sorry. I’m just...thinking about my daughter.
    Amanda: K.C.
Allen sighs and looks up toward the door.
Allen: I haven’t heard anything since I saw her in Monticello.
Amanda: I’m sure it’s quite a shock for her. You might have to give her some time to process it all.
Allen: I want a relationship with her, and I don’t wanna waste one more minute.

BAY CITY CENTER...Joy is texting and walking very slowly. She sends a text to Steven…
Joy (texting): R u in the coffee shop?
    Steven (texting back): Yes.
Joy, still looking at her phone, smiles and walks slowly, still looking at her phone. Suddenly, someone bumps into Joy, and causes her to drop her phone. It’s K.C. Joy picks up her phone in disgust.
Joy: My God. My phone’s broken. You broke my phone!
K.C.: I didn’t do anything. You weren’t looking where you were going.
Joy: Look I need to get your information because you are going to pay for me to get a new phone, since you caused it to be broken.
K.C.: I can’t take responsibility for your clumsiness.
Joy: Look little girl, the grown up way to settle things is that you take responsibility for what you’ve done. You are gonna pay for me to get a new phone.
K.C.: This full grown adult is not paying for a damn thing. You should look where the hell you’re going.
Joy: Oh bitch you gon’ pay for this phone.
K.C.: You better watch who you’re calling a bitch or you’ll end up in the fountain.
Toni and Etta Mae quickly come between them.
Etta Mae: You leave her alone lady!
Toni: Nobody’s gonna end up anywhere. How much is the phone?
    Joy: Five hundred dollars.
K.C.: Oh please that’s more than what that thing is worth.
Toni: I’ll write you a check.
They all follow Toni to a nearby table, who takes out her checkbook, writes the check, and gives it to Joy.
Joy: I hope it doesn’t bounce.
K.C.: Maybe you should bounce before I kick your…
    Toni: K.C.! The check’s good.
    Joy: Um hm.
    Joy walks away.
    K.C.: Ugh! What a bitch!
Etta Mae: Watch yo mouth young lady!
Toni: Let’s focus and talk about why we’re here.
    K.C.: What’s that?
Eric, dressed in his work uniform, is outside of the coffee shop sweeping, and catches K.C.’s eye, and he gives her a look also, but he continues to sweep.
Etta Mae: Keneisha? Are you listening?
    K.C.: I’m sorry. What?
Etta Mae: You must not have heard what I said.
K.C.: Yeah I just finished looking for an apartment.
Etta Mae: And how you gon’ pay for it?
    K.C.: I guess I’ll...get a job.
Toni: So you’re gonna work and go to school full time? That’s a lot.
    K.C.: I can manage.
Etta Mae: Baby I can’t afford to pay your bills and mine.
K.C.: So what are you saying?
Toni: You can live with me.
    K.C.: No. Not gonna happen!
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
COFFEE SHOP...Steven and Joy are sitting at a table while Eric, who has just re-entered the place, notices them.
    Steven: Finally. You alright?
Joy: Yeah I’m gonna get a new phone.
    Steven: What happened?
Joy: Someone bumped into me outside and caused me to drop it. It’s all broken.
Joy shows it to Steven, and has a flashback.
    (EPISODE 174)
At the Monticello Police Station Interrogation Room, Reginald gives instructions to Joy...
Reginald: You don’t want Thomasina to get sick again do you? Get me my great grandson.
Joy flashes back to the present.
    Steven: Yeah it’s...pretty messed up.
Joy: I absolutely must have a phone. You know what. Come with me.
    Steven: Where?
Joy: Help me pick out a phone. Let’s go to the phone store.
Steven holds the door open for Joy as she leaves the coffee shop, and he follows.
    Joy: Such a gentleman.
    Steven: Thank you.
Joy then notices K.C. from a short distance.
Joy: Oh...there’s the little twit who broke my phone.
Steven: Hey, that little twit is my cousin.
    Joy: Your who?
Steven: Her father and my mother are cousins, so we’re related.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
KBAY- Allen is in his office when someone knocks on the door.
    Allen: Come in.
Allen is surprised at his visitor, who is carrying papers.
    Allen: Iris?
Iris: You missed the little celebration we had. I’m gonna buy the staff dinner from Tops. Just tell your secretary what you want and she’ll add it to the order.
Allen: Why would you be doing that? In fact why are you even here? The last time I tangled with you, you were in cahoots with my grandfather to take over Cory Productions, and I almost lost the woman I love.
Iris: So you think you love my sister?
Allen: Listen I got work to do.
Allen turns his attentions to his computer and starts left clicking the mouse...
    Allen: Where is that story?
Iris: Screw it! I am the story.
Allen: Iris, you need to leave. I’m gonna call security.
Iris: And I’d fire them if they put their hands on me.
    Allen: What?
Iris: You heard right. I own this TV station. I am the owner of KBAY.

    PART 2
BAY CITY CENTER….Steven and Joy are standing in front a phone store. Joy is holding a small bag.
Joy: I really like the phone you picked out for me.
Steven: Glad I could be of help, but I can’t take credit for the cover. I won’t take credit for the cover.
Joy takes out the touchscreen phone, with a pink sparkled cover, and they both look at the phone and the cover as if to examine them. Joy is turning the items back and forth.
Joy: This cover is pretty. What are you talking about?
Steven: I’m not a pink sparkle kind of guy.
Joy: Well I’m glad you didn’t pick the cover? It would probably would have been all black or something.
    Steven: You forgot brown.
    Joy: Those dark ‘guy’ colors.
Steven: Sorta kinda. You know it’s good to see you smiling. This is a hell of a lot of easier than the first time I got to see your grin. I still don’t even know your last name.
Steven moves closer to Joy, until they come face to face.
Steven: There’s still...so much I don’t know about you. Who is Joy? What makes her tick? You’re so beautiful....and mysterious.
    Steven begins to kiss Joy.
    Joy: I...I can’t do...this.
Joy tries to resist Steven, but she can no longer. She kisses him back.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, over at a table, the Burrells discuss KC’s situation…
Etta Mae: Well where else you think you gon’ live at?
K.C.: I told you I’ll get a job and I’ll get my own apartment.
Toni: Working full time and going to school full time is a tremendous. I don’t think you’ve thought about this.
K.C.: You mean that if Reginald never kidnapped me, I never would have known that Allen Love is my father? And that my mother and my sister are my grandmother and my mother, yes I think about that all the time.
Etta Mae: Look you can be mad all you want to, but don’t let it cloud your judgment. You’re smarter than that.
    Toni: Mom’s right.
Etta Mae: And you know damn well that you can’t afford to go to school full time and work full time!
K.C.: You don’t know what I can do!
Etta Mae: I told you not to come to Bay City. Toni and I tried to convince you not to but you wanted to come here!
K.C.: That’s because you wanted to hide your secret!
Toni: Look! K.C. we all know what the smart thing for you to do is, and that’s to live with me. You know how my job is. I’ll hardly be home. It’ll be like having your own apartment, and it’s walking distance to campus.
Etta Mae: And Toni ain’t gon make you pay no rent right?
Toni: As long as she stays in school.
K.C.’s wall starts to break down a little.
    K.C.: I...I could commute.
    Etta Mae: With whose car?
Toni: I guess you wanna get home late every single night.
Etta Mae: I got get on the road.
Toni (looking at her cell phone): Yeah I gotta get back to work.
Toni and Etta Mae get up and K.C. stays seated, and as they walk away…
K.C.: Wait. I’ll...I’ll live with you Toni.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Allen: What the hell are you talkin’ about?
Iris: Watch how you talk to your boss.
    Allen: When did this happen?
Iris: Not too long ago. KBAY hasn’t had the same flair since your Aunt Donna owned it. It’s time I added my own flavor to it.
Allen: Oh come on. You didn’t buy this TV station because you wanted to sprinkle some seasoning on it. Ooooh you got somethin’ else up your sleeve, and I bet it has something to do with getting back at Amanda doesn’t it?
Iris: Oh goodness, everything that I do does not involve Amanda or anything to do with the Corys.
Allen: Sure it does. You might not be Mac’s biological daughter, but he’s always gonna be your daddy, and you’re always gonna feel that anything he owned and built belongs to you, namely Cory Publishing, now Cory Productions.
Allen steps back a little as he comes to a realization…
Allen: You just came upon your rich Spaulding roots, and you bought up KBAY. Is Cory Productions next on your shopping list?
    Iris smiles.
Iris: Wouldn’t you like to know?
Iris walks toward the door and stops.
Iris: If you breathe a word of your theories to anyone, I’ll destroy you, your daughter, and anyone you love. With all my money and influence, you know I can do it.
Allen: Why? What are you up to?
Iris: You’ll see soon enough, just don’t get in my way.

    AT THE MONTGOMERYS

Allen Love pays a visit. After Marley lets him in and shuts the door, he escorts her to the couch in the living room. They both sit down…

Allen: You need to close that window.

Marley: It’s a nice night. I wanted to feel the breeze.

Allen: I guess so, being that you can’t really get out.

Marley: It is so good to see you. It’s been a while.

Allen: Donna told me that you were on bed rest so I didn’t want to interrupt that.

Marley: Oh you know that you’re always welcome here.

Allen: I don’t know if my brother sees it that way.

Marley: You know I’d really would like if you two would mend fences, preferably before my son enters the world.

Allen: From the looks of things that’s gonna happen very soon.

Marley: Yeah Roman is coming. The newest addition to our crazy family.

Allen: That little one in your stomach isn’t the only one.

Marley: Vicky called and told me. Michele’s back.

Allen: That’s amazing. I’m sure Vicky and Jake are happy.

    --------------------------------------------

    EXAM ROOM

Jake, Stacey and Gregory await Lindsay’s prognosis from John.

John: We got the results of the tests. It’s not good.

    Lindsay: My God. Is it...cancer?

    Jake: Cancer?

Stacey: She’s too young for that.

John: We can’t tell right now, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to jump to that conclusion.

Gregory: What did you find dad?

John: Lindsay you have unusually large polyps on your uterus. I’ve scheduled you for an emergency biopsy. I’m gonna need to get you prepped.

Stacey: We’ll be right here honey. We’re not going anywhere.

John: You all can wait in the waiting area for her.

Gregory: I’m gonna be here when you get out of the O.R. okay.

    Lindsay: Of course.

    -------------------------------------------------

    OUTSIDE OF LINDSAY’S ROOM

Stacey, Jake, and Gregory walk up to Donna and Michael.

Donna: Jake, Vicky went to see about Michele.

    Michael: How’s Lindsay?

Stacey: She’s...being prepped for a biopsy. My miracle baby can’t have cancer.

Jake: We don’t know that yet Stacey. Let’s wait until after the procedure.

Donna: I...hope Lindsay’s gonna be okay.

Stacey: I’m going to the waiting room.

    Gregory: I’m going with you.

As Stacey and Gregory walk away, Vicky walks up with Michele and her bandaged left arm, with Bridget right behind them.

Jake: Michele, what happened to your arm?

Vicky: Good I’m glad you’re here.

Bridget: I didn’t do anything. Michele did this to herself.

    Vicky: Stop lying!

Jake: Bridget what are you doing here. I thought you were at home.

Michael: Michele just tell us what happened.

Michele: I was…gonna come out of the room when Bridget came in. She grabbed the scissors and charged at me. I put my arm to block…

    Bridget: Oh my God!

Michele: And she cut my arm.

Michele beings to make like she’s going to cry.

Michele: All I want to do is be sisters. Why do you hate me so much?

Bridget shakes her head in disbelief.

Michael: Bridget honey. Did you do that? Did you attack your sister?

Bridget: Don’t tell me you guys believe her? I would never do that.

Michele: Mom can you take me home please?

    Vicky: Of course honey.

    Jake: Not so fast.

    PART 2

Marley: I need to call Vicky and get Michele’s cell phone number. I wanna talk to her. So tell me, what’s going on with you? I heard we got another addition to the family.

    Allen: K.C.?

    Marley: Yes.

Allen: Toni and Etta Mae lied to me and her.

Marley: I’m surprised to hear that Toni would keep you from your own daughter. Not so much from Etta Mae.

Allen: I heard about what happened back then.

Marley: She tried to keep me and Tyrone apart.

Allen: But she didn’t. He loves you Marley.

Marley: I know that now, more than ever. We almost didn’t make it.

Allen: Listen cuz, stop thinkin’ like that. We got one crazy ass family, but we’re gonna be there for each other.

Marley: You know what...positive thoughts only.

Allen: That’s it cuz. We gon’ think the best, especially for Roman.

    Marley (looking away): Right.

Allen: So why aren’t you convincing me?

Marley: I can’t help but to think what our grandfather has up his sleeve.

Allen: He’s in Tanquir. He can’t do anything to us. We won’t let him.

    Suddenly they hear a noise...

    Marley: What was that?

Allen: That’s why I told you to close that window.

Allen opens the door and looks outside.

    Allen: Who’s there?

To Allen’s right, Joy hides, unseen, behind the bushes.

    ----------------------------------------------

    HOSPITAL WAITING ROOM

    Gregory is with Stacey…

    Stacey: This isn’t fair.

Gregory: She had been having pains in her stomach. She told me it was just gas.

Stacey: Lindsay’s always trying to be strong.

Gregory: That’s what I love about your daughter.

Stacey: Lindsay is my miracle baby. After I lost my first baby I thought I couldn’t have children. I can’t lose her to cancer.

Gregory: We’re not gonna lose her Stacey. Whatever my dad says it is, we’re gonna get through it. We’re gonna be there for Lindsay.

    Stacey: Damned right! Thank you.

    Gregory: For what?

Stacey: Loving my daughter. I’m glad she has you in her life. Means a lot to me.

Stacey’s eyes begin to well up, and Gregory holds her.

Gregory: We’re gonna be okay. Everything’s gonna work out the way it’s supposed to.

Meanwhile, John walks up in his scrubs and mask, unseen by Stacey and Gregory, and sees them embrace.

    John: Hi.

    Stacey: Oh...uh...John. How’s Lindsay?

John: She’s in the recovery room. We got a couple of samples from the polyps. They’re running tests now. She’ll be sleeping through the night, so why don’t you guys go home, get some sleep and...come back in the morning. We’ll know more by then.

Gregory: You mean...if she has cancer.

Stacey: We’re not gonna think that way. We’re gonna wait till morning. Did you tell Jake?

    John: I didn’t see him.

Stacey: He might be checking up on Michele.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

Jake: I wanna know exactly what went on in that room.

Vicky: Michele just told you. Bridget attacked her.

Bridget: I didn’t do anything! She did this to herself!

    Jake: She cut herself?

Bridget: Come on dad. You’ve gotta believe me. Michele has been acting weird since she got back.

Donna: This is all so strange.

    Jake (looking at Michele): Very.

Michele: Dad, you know Bridget was jealous of me before the accident, and it seems like she still is.

John interrupts them all and approaches Jake.

John: I’m sorry. Jake I have news about Lindsay.

    Jake: Okay.

John: Let’s go to my office.

Michael: I think we all should go home. It’s been quite a night.

Vicky: I agree. Let’s go Michele.

    Bridget: I’ll be along later.

    Vicky: No you won’t.

    Bridget: What?

Vicky: I don’t want you anywhere near Michele.

Donna: Victoria what are you saying?

Vicky: Bridget can go home with you. I want her out of my house.

    CORY MANSION

    Rachel
walks in and gets some fruit off the tray table and sees Cory on his phone with his headsets on, so she goes and removes them.

Cory: Mom! I was just about to get to the next level.

Rachel: I think your fingers are glued to that phone.

    Cory: Oh you’re just old.

Rachel: I beg your pardon. I’m still your mother.

    Cory: Sorry mom.

Rachel: You and those games. Have you spoken to Michele yet?

    Cory: No.

Rachel: I think you need to speak with her about you and Bridget. You two have been getting closer. I noticed you two at the wedding. You need to be careful.

    Cory: About what?

Rachel: Michele’s returned, and she may think that there’s still a chance for you and her. You don’t want to be the one to drive a wedge between sisters.

    Cory: Not gonna do that.

Rachel: Just be careful okay. Have you seen your father?

Cory (putting his headsets back on): Nope.

Rachel: He left early. What the hell is going on with him?

    -----------------------------------------------------------

    ROOM

    Carl
looks at his right arm, which has an IV in it. Dr. Russ Matthews walks in and injects something into Carl’s IV.

    Russ: How you feelin?

Carl: As well as can be expected.

Russ: Well I hope this is making you feel more comfortable.

    Carl sighs.

Carl: Physically yes. Emotionally not so much.

Russ: I’m very sorry Carl. I know Rachel and your children just got you back.

Carl: And now I have a brain tumor that was more aggressive than before.

Russ: You need to tell Rachel soon. Don’t let it linger too long.

Carl: I’m well aware of that Dr. Matthews. I can’t tell my wife just yet. I want to bond with my family as much as possible.

Russ: Your wife is your family. It starts with her.

Carl: I have to make things right with all of my family members.

Carl picks up the cell phone with left hand and dials a number.

    -----------------------------------------------

    AT THE WINTHROPS

    Frankie
    answers her cell phone.

Frankie: Hello? Carl hi. Uh Cass and I are about to go to the hospital. I suppose we could stop by after that. Okay. See ya later.

    Frankie hangs up as Cass
enters the living room, fully dressed. Cass is wearing a gray suit with a black tie and Frankie is wearing a bold pink dress.

Cass: Who was that on the phone?

Frankie: That was Carl. He wants us to stop by the Corys later.

    Cass: I wonder why.

Frankie (looking around the living room): I dunno. Did I leave my compact in the bedroom?

    Cass: Which one?

    Frankie: My pink one.

Cass: I think I know where the one with the MFF.

    Frankie: That’s the red one.

Cass: Why do you need that many compacts when you can just use the camera on your phone to do your make up?

Frankie: It’s a woman thing. You won’t understand.

Cass: I’ve dressed in drag before.

    Frankie: So not the same.

Cass: So not modern. Use the camera.

Frankie: I happen to like my compacts.

Cass: One to match the color of your clothing?

Frankie: Like I said, it’s a woman thing.

Cass: And I love every girly girl part of you.

Frankie: And to think I used to be a tomboy.

    Cass: Hmm.

They kiss each other, but stop immediately.

    Frankie: Did you call Charlie?

Cass: Yeah she and Kirkland are gonna meet us there.

They walk toward the door to leave.

Frankie: Oh yeah. I almost forgot our daughter was married.

Cass: Come on let’s go see Lindsay.

    ----------------------------------------------------

    HOSPITAL

    Lindsay
is lying in bed. She wakes up and sees Gregory and Stacey standing over her.

Lindsay (groggy): Whoa...that was a great dream I was having. What happened?

Stacey: You had a biopsy last night.

Gregory: My dad told us to come back in the morning, and here we are.

    Lindsay: Thank you.

Stacey: Of course honey where else would we be?

    Gregory: I’m not going anywhere.

    John
    walks in.

    Stacey: John?

John: We have the results of the biopsy. We took three samples of the polyps and tested them. They were benign.

Stacey, Gregory and Lindsay all smiles.

    Stacey: Thank God!

    Gregory: That’s great.

Lindsay: Oh wow. I was...I was thinking the worst. Thank you John.

John: I don’t think you want to thank me just yet.

    Lindsay: What do you mean?

John: Those polyps can turn malignant, and they’re very large and they need to be removed.

Lindsay: Well let’s schedule the surgery to remove them.

John: Yes we have to remove them, but to do that, due to the size of the polyps, we will have to remove your entire uterus.

Stacey’s joy at the news of non cancer, quickly turns to concern just as Cass, Frankie, Kirkland
    and Charlie walk in.

    Lindsay: Hi everybody.

    Stacey: John...no...she’s too young…

    Cass: Stacey...is everything okay?

    Frankie: Lindsay?

John: I’m sorry Lindsay. For you to reduce your risk of getting cancer, we will have to do a full hysterectomy.

    Charlie: Oh my God.

Kirkland: Is there anything you want us to do?

Lindsay’s eyes well up with tears.

Lindsay: John if...if I have this hysterectomy I...I won’t be able to have children.

    Part 2

    HOSPITAL

Outside Lindsay’s room, Kirkland and Charlie talk about Lindsay. Kirkland holds Charlie from behind.

Charlie: I feel so bad for her.

    Kirkland: I know babe.

Charlie: She’s gotta get a full hysterectomy or basically she’s gonna die. She’s too young for this.

Kirkland: We’re all gonna be here for her right?

Charlie: It’s not fair. This isn’t fair Kirkland.

    Kirkland: You’re right. It’s not.

Charlie: I wonder if Gregory still wants to be with her. He can’t give her a baby.

Kirkland: If that’s the determining factor then she doesn’t deserve him.

Charlie turns around and faces Kirkland.

Charlie: What would happen if...we found out I couldn’t have children?

Kirkland: Why would you even ask such a question? We would find other ways to have children. I love you Charlie.

    Cass walks up to them.

    Cass: Good answer Harrison.

Cass then walks away with Frankie right behind him.

Frankie: What are we gonna do Cass?

Cass: All we can do is support them.

Frankie: It’s so devastating. I mean Lindsay’s still young, and she has to have a hysterectomy. Either she can’t have children, or the polyps turn malignant and she dies. Why is this happening to her? Why is the universe treating her like this?

Cass: I’m gonna assume that’s a rhetorical question.

    Frankie: She’s your niece.

Cass: You can’t expect me to have answers to anything cosmic.

Frankie: Come on Cass. She’s so young and gets this type of news. I wish I could fix it for her.

Cass: All we can do is let her know that we love her and that we’re here.

Gregory walks up to them...a bit dejected.

    Cass: Gregory how is she?

    Gregory: Devastated.

Frankie: Why aren’t you in there with her?

Gregory: She wanted to talk to her mom alone.

    -----------------------------

    INSIDE LINDSAY’S ROOM

Stacey is clenching Lindsay’s right hand as Lindsay lies on the bed. Lindsay’s eyes are full of tears.

Stacey: You know there are other ways you can have children. You can adopt.

Lindsay: How did you feel when you carried me? After all those years you thought you couldn’t have children.

Stacey: You are my miracle baby.

Lindsay: There are no miracles for me! If I have this hysterectomy, I live, but I can’t have children. If I don’t have it, I could die. What am I supposed to do mom?

    Stacey: I...I don’t know.

    Lindsay: Exactly.

Stacey: Honey I...I’m so grateful that I gave birth to you, but natural child birth doesn’t make you a mother. There a lot of women who have delivered normally and can’t be mothers to those children. This is where you come in. Many children need homes; they need mothers who will love them and care for them. When you’re ready to be that, you can be it. It’s not about keeping a man in your life. If a man can’t accept you for who you are, then you don’t need him honey. You’re my baby. I love you so much, but it’s not the end of the world. Your life can go on. You can be happy...and you can have a family, but you’ve gotta be here to do it.

Lindsay: You want me to have the surgery.

Stacey: I want you to live. I want you to be happy. That is all I care about, and that’s all you should care about.

    John walks in.

John: Hi. We haven’t got much time.

Lindsay looks at Stacey, and looks back at John.

Lindsay: I’m gonna have the surgery. Do it.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

Two hospital workers wheel Lindsay, who is lying on a gurney, up to Cass, Frankie, Gregory, Charlie, and Kirkland, with Stacey walking next to the bed at the same pace of the workers. John is right behind Stacey.

    Gregory: Hey...are you alright?

Lindsay: Yeah. I’m gonna have the surgery.

    Charlie: How do you feel?

Lindsay looks at Stacey, smiles nervously, and looks back at Charlie.

Lindsay: I’ll die if I don’t have it.

Stacey: We’re gonna be right here when you get out of surgery.

Cass: You’re right. The Winthrops stick together.

Gregory kisses Lindsay on her lips.

    Gregory: I love you baby.

    John: You ready?

    Lindsay sighs.

    Lindsay: Let’s do it.

The workers and John wheel Lindsay away to prep her for surgery as Stacey watches them. Cass comforts her.

Cass: She’s gonna get through it Stace.

Stacey: It’s like you just said. We’re Winthrops. We stick together right?

    Cass: Right.

Cass embraces Stacey and he turns to Frankie.

Cass: Are you gonna go see Carl?

Frankie: Come on Cass, I’m not leaving until Lindsay’s out of surgery. I’ll see Carl after that.

    -----------------------------------------

Russ: Who was that on the phone?

Carl: I just called my daughter Frankie.

Russ: What do you have to make right with her?

Carl: I’ve done a lot of regrettable things in my life. It’s almost like this is some sort of payback.

Russ: I don’t know if I’d look at it quite that way. You still have a chance to make things right with everyone because...

Carl: I don’t have much time left.

Russ: If there was something that we could do, we’d do it.

    Carl: I understand. It’s inoperable.

    Russ: And you need...to tell...Rachel.

    --------------------------------------------

    Cory: Where did he go?

Rachel: He said he had something to take care of.

Cory: Why didn’t he tell you what it was?

    Rachel: I’m not sure Cory.

Cory: Is dad up to his old tricks?

Rachel: Oh we’re not going down this road again are we?

Cory: No mom. It’s just dad does these strange things all the time.

Rachel: I’m gonna find out what it is.

Rachel goes upstairs while someone rings the doorbell.

Cory: Mom can you get it?

Cory hears no response, so he reluctantly goes to answer the door.

Cory: Why couldn’t she answer the door? She was right there.

Cory opens and is surprised at the visitor.

    Cory: Michele?

    CORY MANSION

    Outside the front door, Frankie
rings the doorbell as she waits with Cass and Charlie.

Frankie: I wonder what Carl wanted.

Cass: Maybe he wants to get to know his daughter.

    Charlie: And his granddaughter.

Frankie: I’ve been bad. I haven’t even reached out to him since he got back.

Cass: Maybe this is the perfect opportunity for you to bond.

    Matt
opens the door, and Frankie hugs him.

    Matt: Wow...what was that for?

Frankie: I never thanked you did I?

    Matt: For what?

Frankie: I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you.

    Carl
and Rachel walk up to them.

    Carl: Thank God.

    BAY CITY CENTER

Reporters gather and set near their chairs while Grant
is near the podium. He is signaled by Christy. They slink off into a secluded corner.

Grant (whispering): What the hell is wrong with you? We can’t be seen together!

Christy: Is that any way to treat the lady who’s gonna get your lady for you?

Grant: I have a press conference shortly. What is it?

    Christy: This is everything.

    Grant: Everything?

Christy: Everything you’re going to need to get Jack away from Paulina.

Christy gives him a jump drive.

Christy: I had all the evidence moved to this.

Grant: Hmm. How do I know this is what I’m looking for?

Christy: Well you’ll need to look at it won’t you? Hurry, you’ve got a press conference coming up.

Christy sneaks away unseen by anyone.

    -----------------------------------------

    POLICE STATION

    Paulina
    walks into Jack’s office.

Jack: Hi. Sorry. I didn’t mean to keep you waiting. Just making all the detail was in place for Grant’s press conference at the Center.

    Paulina: Right.

    Paulina sighs nervously.

Paulina: So...what did you want to see me about? Could it have something to do with our kiss?

Jack closes the door and pulls Paulina into a kiss.

Jack: Now...what was that you asked me?

They continue to kiss, then Paulina stops him.

    Jack: Hey. Is everything okay?

Paulina has a flashback while looking at Jack’s face.

    (EPISODE 195)

Jake: Listen, just be careful okay. He’s going through a rough patch with his wife. Believe me, I know what those are.

Paulina: I’m going to help him through that.

Jake: I don’t think you’re considering the possibility that Jack could go back to Carly. You need to be ready for that.

Paulina flashes back to the present.

Paulina: We can’t do this. This isn’t right.

    PART 2

Grant is back at home, and he plugs in the contents of the jump drive that Christy gave him at the Center...and grins with pleasure...with Christy in the background.

    Grant: Gotcha Jack.

    Christy: What’s your next move?

    Grant: You first.

Christy: Well you know I can’t do that. You’ll have to wait just like everybody else.

Grant: Just know that whatever Jack and Paulina think they have, it’s going to be over.

    --------------------------------------------------------

    Jack: What do you mean?

Paulina: I’ve been doing some thinking. You’re still married to Carly.

    Jack: On paper.

Paulina: And you two have a long history together.

    Jack: So do we.

Paulina: And you have two daughters. I can’t come between everything you have with Carly.

    Jack: This is a competition?

Paulina: You still love her don’t you?

Jack: A part of me is always gonna love Carly.

Paulina: Is the same part thinking about going back to her?

    Jack: Where am I?

    Paulina: Here.

    Jack: Yes...with you. That’s who I wanna be with...you.

    Paulina smiles.

Jack: Carly is the mother of my children, but you are the woman I...I love.

Paulina: Jack? Did you just say…?

Jack: Paulina Cory Carlino, I love you.

    They kiss.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

    AT THE CORYS…

Cass, Frankie, Charlie, Carl, Rachel and Matt are gathered in the living room.

Carl: Thank you for coming Frankie. Glad you’re here, too Cass. Charlie, my beautiful granddaughter.

    Frankie sighs nervously.

Frankie: I’m glad you called, but I can’t help but wondering what this might be about.

Cass: After all this time, you called Frankie to come over.

Carl: I owe you an apology. I owe you both...an apology.

    Frankie: I don’t understand.

Carl: I caused a lot of pain in your lives in the past...with what I did to Kathleen McKinnon.

Frankie: Especially the first time we met.

    Carl: I threatened Cass’s life.

Cass: Well Carl I can speak for Frankie and myself on that. We forgive you.

Carl: You just never know when...when you're time is. So you want to spend as much time as possible with the people you love. However, there’s something else. I wasn’t here for you when that stalker tried to kill you.

Matt: We’ll leave you three alone.

Rachel: I have some errands to run.

Frankie: No please. Stay...both of you, especially you Matt, and you, too Rachel. I wouldn’t have been able to reunite with Cass.

    Frankie clenches Cass’s right hand.

Frankie: I wouldn’t have been able to see Charlie get married. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you.

Matt: Frankie you don’t have to…

Frankie: Yes, Matt, I do. I never thanked you and Rachel...for saving my life.

Rachel: Dr. Wu saved your life. He gave you a life saving injection.

Matt: He came from Salem. I called him right before mom and I walked the grounds.

    Rachel: I heard you screaming.

Matt: We both did, but I didn’t want mom in danger, so I told her it was our old dog Adelaide.

Rachel: We had to let everything play out.

Matt: As we walked toward the ice house I knew the stalker was near when we heard him slam the door.

Frankie then begins to recall the events of that horrific night.

Frankie: I confronted him, and ripped his mask off. I couldn’t believe it was him. Then...I begged him not to kill me.

After Fax tried to kill me, I was only able to carve part of an F in the rock. After I hunched over, I felt an injection, but I.... I couldn’t move, but I was alive. I couldn’t say anything, I couldn’t do anything.

Matt: The drug that Dr. Wu gave you gives you the appearance that you were dead.

Rachel: It also slowed down your pulse.

Cass starts to rub Frankie back in support.

Cass: I was frantic. I knew you were in danger. I had no idea what to do.

Frankie: I’m so sorry Cass that I put you through that.

Cass: You didn’t do anything wrong honey.

Frankie: I heard you in the morgue when you were holding me. You told Felicia that you wanted to take me home. She and John talked you out of it, but I heard everything you said. Cass: Rachel, if you knew Frankie was alive, then why didn’t you tell us?

Charlie: Dad was devastated. I was, too. Why didn’t you say anything?

Rachel: Charlie, honey, If Fax had found out that your mother was still alive, he probably would have come after her or your father, or even you.

Matt: We couldn’t take that risk.

Rachel: Shortly after that, he was captured.

Cass: But Frankie you didn’t come back.

Matt: Fax Newman came from a very rich and powerful family.

Rachel: And a corrupt onee. We didn’t want to risk them doing anything to you because of their son.

Charlie: But you did come back...as Anne O’Donnell.

Matt: His family died before 1999, and it was safe for Frankie to come back.

Carl: And I’m very happy about that.

Carl gets an alert on his cell phone.

Carl: I’ll be right back. I have to take this.

    -------------------------------------------------

    OUTSIDE THE LIVING ROOM

Carl leaves through the glass double doors and looks at the alert on his cell phone which reads: TRANSFER COMPLETE. Then he makes a phone call.

Carl: It’s me. It’s finally over. It’s safe now.

    Rachel discovers Carl’s secret

    CORY MANSION

    A fully dressed Carl
buttons up the last button on his shirt, then he looks over at a sleeping Rachel covered in a blanket. He walks over to her, kisses her on her forehead, and leaves. Rachel, however, was not sleeping. She immediately opens her eyes and throws the covers off of her. Not only is Rachel not sleeping, she’s fully clothed. Rachel stands up and flashes back…

    (EPISODE 181)

Rachel: I wonder how she got away from us.
    Carl: We were careful.
Rachel: We left her only for a few minutes.
Carl: It reminds me of when you and I took care of Perry. He was an adventurous lad. We had to watch him every single second. If we turned our backs, he would disappear.

Rachel flashes back to the present. She notices Carl’s laptop open. She turns it on and sees the “transfer complete” notification. She then notices an empty container of pills in a wastebasket. She picks it up and notices that it was prescribed to Carl Hutchins.

Rachel: I’m gonna find out what’s going with you Carl.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Later...AT A HOSPITAL OUTSIDE OF BAY CITY..

In an exam room, Carl is connected to an IV talking on his cell phone.

Carl: My darling daughter. I have never called Frankie that. How’s school? I was wondering if you could come home. I’m throwing a dinner party. A family gathering. Good. I’ll see ya then my dear.

    Russ
walks in looking at his phone, which has Bay City General Hospital’s job site on it, but he presses a button, the screen goes black, and he puts it in his pocket.

Carl: Dr. Russell Matthews. Anything interesting on your phone?

Russ: I could have asked you the same thing.

Carl: I was talking to my daughter Elizabeth. I’m having a dinner party, and you’re welcome to come.

    Russ: I don’t know if I…

Carl: It wasn’t a request Russell. I’m gonna need you there. Everyone else is gonna be there. As soon as press send on my phone, everyone should have their invitation.

    Russ: Including Sharlene?

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

    HUDSONS HOUSE

    Sharlene
opens the door and Frankie walks in.

    Sharlene: Hey you.

    Frankie: Hi.

They hug and Sharlene shuts the door.

Sharlene: I haven’t talked to you in a while honey. How are you?

Frankie: I dunno. I mean I should be fine right? My daughter’s a newlywed. Cass and I got back together, but for some reason all the pegs don’t quite fit.

    Sharlene: Is it Christy?

Frankie: Surprisingly no, not this time.

Sharlene: Wow you seem really bothered by this. I know what time it is for you.

    Frankie: Chamomile please.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

    AT THE BLAKE’S

    Felicia
is sitting at her laptop desk in the living room staring at the wall, and Mitch walks in from the bedroom.

    Mitch: You barely slept honey.

Felicia: Wow how can you tell?

Mitch: Not only that, you’ve been sitting at that desk and your laptop’s not even open.

Mitch walks over and massages her shoulders.

Mitch: You made a hard decision, but you can’t let it eat you up. Your business choices have nothing to do with your friendship with Rachel. She’ll understand.

Felicia: I didn’t want to hurt anyone. KBAY offered such a sweet deal. I couldn’t say no Mitch. They’re going to do a worldwide marketing campaign. That could lead to more movies and more book deals.

    Mitch: But…

Felicia: I hated turning down Matt and Amanda. I remember when they were kids. I remember Mac, you know? Now they’re struggling to keep his company afloat.

Mitch: Maybe it’s...time for them to move on.

Felicia: What are you talking about? Mac built that company from the ground up.

Mitch: I know, but all good things…

Felicia: I can’t believe you would even say something like that. Rachel is one of my best friends. When she finds out what I’ve done, she’s gonna deeply hurt.

Felicia gets up from the chair and walks away.

Mitch: Listen why don’t we go to the Center for a while. Might make you feel a little better to get some fresh air.

    PART 2

Sharlene and Frankie are sipping teas in Sharlene’s living room.

Frankie: This might have been what I needed.

Sharlene: I love chamomile tea. Calms my nerves. So what’s got you all worked up?

Frankie: Cass, Charlie and I just came from the Corys.

    Sharlene: You saw Rachel?

Frankie: Yes we...we went over the accounts of that night...that night of Josie’s shower.

Sharlene: The night you were attacked by Fax Newman. It really is a miracle that you’re here. Sometimes I still can’t believe I went out with that man. All the while he was a cold blooded killer.

Frankie: I’m kinda glad we...all got to hear it. It’s all out in the open; all on how I survived that night.

Sharlene: You know Josie was very devastated about what happened. She loves you very much.

Frankie: Charlie took it surprisingly well.

Sharlene: It’s really the first time you’ve told her about it right?

Frankie: Yeah but she asked an interesting question.

    Sharlene: About?

Frankie: Where I’ve been all this time? I stayed away from Bay City for years.

Sharlene: Well Cass decided to marry Lila. You stayed away because you wanted Charlie and Cass to be happy.

Frankie: There are some things that I left out.

Sharlene: Frankie are you in some kind of trouble?

Frankie: No, nothing like that. I didn’t tell them that I planted that bogus story about Anne O’Donnell representing Newton Fairchild.

Sharlene: Why did you do that? What are you hiding from your family?

Frankie and Sharlene get alerts on their phones and they pick them up.

Sharlene: This looks like an invite.

    Frankie: I got one, too.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    AT THE CENTER

Mitch and Felicia walk slowly arm in arm…

Mitch: See they got the roof open. Smell that fresh spring air.

Felicia: Yeah, you always had that knack.

    Mitch: For what?

Felicia: For making me feel better. I can’t lie though. That was one of the toughest decision I've ever had to make.

Mitch: And you don’t have to explain it to anyone. Not me, not Rachel, nobody. Business is business.

Felicia: A part of me does hope she’ll understand.

They stop walking and Mitch faces Felicia…

Mitch: Stop worrying your pretty little head about it. I have a feeling everything’s gonna work out the way it’s supposed to.

They kiss. Meanwhile, from a short distance, Christy
watches them. Suddenly, their cell phones chime and they look at them.

Felicia: I’m invited to a party.

    Mitch: So am I.

Felicia: You got the same thing?

Mitch: Carl is throwing a party at the Corys.

    -----------------------------------------------------

    Russ sighs.

    Carl: What’s going on?

Russ: I um...saw the results of your last MRI.

Carl: Let me guess, it’s growing.

    Russ: Yes...really fast.

Carl: So how much...time do I have left?

Russ: Have you gotten all of your affairs in order? For your children? Your wife?

Carl: How much time...Russell? Months? Weeks? Days?

Russ: I can’t narrow that down.

Carl: We all know I’m dying of a brain tumor that’s growing every day.

Russ: Carl I’m sorry. I really wish there was more we could do.

Carl: I know what you can do for me. You and Rachel used to be pretty close.

    Russ: We were married.

Carl: Look after her. Please. She’s gonna need your friendship after I’m gone.

Russ nods his head in agreement.

Russ: I’ve heard a lot about you Carl.

Carl: I surmise that most of it is negative.

Russ: Yes mostly, but that’s not what I’ve seen from you. You’re nothing what people said you are.

Carl: Rachel changed my life. She made me a better person.

Russ: Funny thing is that’s not the Rachel I used to know.

Carl: She’s a devoted mother, friend and wife.

Russ: I’m sure she told you the reason she and I got married.

    Carl: Jamie.

Russ: I thought he was my son, but he turned out to be Steve Frame’s.

    Carl: Did you love her?

Russ: I’m always gonna care about Rachel. I’ll...I’ll honor your wishes.

Suddenly, Rachel appears and walks in.

Rachel: Russ? Carl? What wishes are you two talking about?

    The two men stay silent.

Rachel: Russ it’s been years since I’ve seen you.

Russ: You’re still as beautiful as ever Rachel.

Rachel: Why is my husband hooked up to these tubes?

Russ: Maybe I...should leave you two alone. Carl, it’s time.

    Rachel: Time for what?

Russ walks out and shuts the door.

    Carl: Darling.

Rachel: It’s back isn’t it? The tumor’s back.

    HOSPITAL OUTSIDE OF BAY CITY

    Russ Matthews
is removing Carl’s I.V. as he and Rachel prepare to leave. Rachel is off in a close corner by herself. Russ joins her. Rachel doesn’t face him.

    Russ: Are you okay?

Rachel: I just found out my husband is dying. As well as can be expected I guess.

    Russ: I’m so sorry Rachel.

Rachel turns around and sighs nervously.

Rachel: It’s not your fault. I’m sure you did everything you could to save him.

Russ: We did. I just wanted to make him comfortable.

Rachel: These are Carl’s last days. I will make them as comfortable for him as possible. Thank you for everything.

    Russ turns toward Carl.

Russ: So I’ll see you here next week.

Carl turns Russ’s attentions to something on the bed.

Russ: You removed your chemo port.

Carl: No. We won’t be returning to this facility.

Russ shakes his head in pensive agreement.

Russ: So you two are headed back home?

Carl: Yes. Did you get the invite?

    Russ: Your dinner party?

Rachel: He’s gonna make the announcement there.

Russ: I’m not too sure if I should.

Rachel: We’d really like you to be there.

    Russ: Bay City’s my home.

Carl: I’ve got a question for you Dr. Matthews. A friend of ours had a brain injury in an accident.

    Rachel: You’re talking about Michele?

Russ: I read about that in the Herald.

Carl: Yes. Maybe you could examine her? She couldn’t read.

Russ: She may not need to.

    Carl: What are you saying?

Russ: Any cognitive functions she learned before the injury that she lost should return.

Rachel: She was devastated when she learned she couldn’t read, so you’re saying that it will just...come back?

Russ: No doubt in my mind.

Rachel goes to Carl and puts her hands on Carl’s shoulders.

    Rachel: Are you ready?

Carl: We have to tell the children.

    ---------------------------------------

    CORY MANSION

    Elizabeth
walks downstairs and encounters Cory on his cell phone in the foyer.

Cory: You’re not feeling well. Can I bring you something? Chicken soup? What am I thinking? You’ve got maid service at the Love Mansion. Feel better.

Cory hangs up and sees Elizabeth.

    Elizabeth: I can’t believe it.

    Cory: What do you mean?

Elizabeth: You’re dating that scheming lying bitch Bridget.

    Cory: Not now Lizzie.

Cory walks into the foyer and Elizabeth follows.

Elizabeth: After everything she did to break you and Michele up, you’re turning around and dating her. I guess she got what she wanted.

Cory plops on the couch and Elizabeth sits on the chair across from the couch.

Cory: She’s not that kind of person anymore.

    Elizabeth: She will never change.

Cory: She felt bad about everything and it took her a long time to forgive herself.

Elizabeth: And let me guess, she leaned on you, and cried on your shoulder. As long as you all thought Michele was dead, she turned on the waterworks, and told you how bad she felt about what happened to her sister. Does that about sum it up?

Cory: I don’t care what you think of Bridget. I like her and I’m gonna date her whether you like it or not. I mean even Michele said she was cool with it.

    Elizabeth purses her lips.

Cory: Come on Lizzie. Can we talk about something else?

Elizabeth: No we can’t. That skank has got you in her clutches. She was so jealous of her sister. Michele was headed for big things, and to have it all just taken away on prom night because of Bridget.

Cory: Michele has been through a lot.

Elizabeth: No kidding, and you think she’s gonna come back and be cool with you dating her sister.

    Cory: That’s what she said.

Elizabeth: And you think she means that?

    Cory: Lizzie…

Elizabeth: You really can’t be that stupid. I bet she’s mad as hell. I sure would be.

    -----------------------------------------------

    AT THE MCKINNONS

    Vicky
opens the front door as Michele comes downstairs and manages to stop her.

    Michele: Mom.

    Vicky: Hey honey.

    Michele: Where are you headed?

Vicky: I was gonna see your Aunt Marley.

Michele: I was there the other day.

    Vicky: How was she?

Michele: She’s hanging in there. I know she’s ready to deliver little Roman.

Vicky: Aren’t we all. I wanna spoil my nephew. So happy she’s having a baby.

Michele: You know she talked to me...about what happened between you and her before I was born.

Vicky sighs as if she’s recalling those events in her mind.

Vicky: When she locked me in the basement of the Love Mansion.

Michele: Yeah that, but I don’t know why everyone’s so afraid that I’m gonna do the same thing to Bridget. I’m not gonna do that.

Vicky: That was a tough time for all of us honey.

Michele: I...I didn’t mean to bring up bad memories. If you don’t wanna talk about it…

Vicky puts her hands on Michele’s shoulders and looks into her eyes.

Vicky: It’s perfectly fine honey. We went through a lot, and even after that we got close again. We’re twins. We’re sisters. We will always love each other, and that’s why I know that you would never hurt your sister. Well I gotta get going so…I’ll see ya.

    Vicky: Uh...hi.

    Jake: Hey.

    Vicky: How’s Lindsay?

    Jake: She’s okay.

Vicky: Are you coming to get the rest of your things?

Jake: That and...to see our daughter.

Vicky: Hmm I wonder if I should stick around.

Michele: Oh come on you two aren’t gonna start arguing are you?

Vicky: No I just don’t want him accusing you of things that you clearly aren’t responsible for.

Jake: I didn’t come to talk about that. Vicky can you leave us alone...please?

Vicky: You call me if you need anything.

    Michele: Sure mom.

Vicky leaves, and Jake shuts the door.

    -------------

Outside the door, Vicky is interrupted by a text on her phone.

Vicky (reading): You are cordially invited to a celebration...at the Corys?

    ------------------

    Meanwhile, back inside…

Michele: What did you come here for dad?

Jake: I don’t wanna argue with you.

Michele: No you’re just gonna accuse me wanting to hurt Bridget.

Jake: No, not at all. Come here. Let’s sit down.

Michele and Jake sit on the couch next to each other. Jake takes a deep breath as he looks into his daughter’s eyes.

Jake: You and Bridget changed my life.

Michele: Don’t most parents say that?

Jake: I used to be a two bit con artist, and a blackmailer. I used whoever I could to get what I wanted.

    Michele: Blackmail?

    Jake: I blackmailed Paulina.

Michele: Paulina is one of the sweetest people I know. Why did you do that to her?

Jake: You remember when we told you about Mac Cory right?

Michele: Yeah Amanda and Matt’s dad.

Jake: Paulina had just to come Bay City to claim her place in the Cory family, right after Mac died. She was due a huge inheritance, and I wanted a piece of it, so I held something over her head.

    Michele: And that was?

    Jake: She shot me.

Michele: And instead of going to the police you blackmailed her? That’s gross dad.

Jake: That’s the kind of guy I used to be, but when your mother and I learned she was pregnant with you and Bridget, I changed. I wasn’t going to be that person anymore. After you were born; watching you play together; dress alike; go to the prom, I will never be that guy again, because of you and Bridget.

Michele: Dad I really appreciate the history lesson but is there a point to all of this?

Jake: It pains me to see you and your sister at each other’s throats.

Michele: But you’re here talking to me instead of her.

Jake: It’s not lost on me what she did to you.

Michele: To you, Bridget can do no wrong, and that’s all does.

Jake: You’ll understand when you have kids.

Michele: Bridget started this whole damn thing with her jealousy.

Jake: She missed you when you were gone.

Michele: She used her guilt to reel in Cory.

Jake: And she’s still your sister, and you love each other. Stop this feud. If you’re angry about what she did---

Michele: Yeah yeah go see a doctor. Talk to Steven.

Jake: I love all of you. You, your sisters and your brothers. None of us want you and Bridget to be fighting.

Michele turns toward the mantle and crosses her arms.

Michele: You’re right dad...none of us do. None of us wanted Bridget to hide my college acceptance letter; none of us wanted her to steal vodka out of grandpa Reginald’s cabinet; none of us wanted her to spike Cory’s punch to get him drunk; none of us wanted Gregory’s car to hit me and cause my brain injury!

Michele turns back around and faces her father.

Jake: You talked to your Aunt Marley right?

Michele: OMG can anything stay a secret in this family?

Jake: We all went through that and we are seeing it all over again with you and Bridget.

Michele: For the last time I’m not gonna lock Bridget in a basement!

Jake: That’s not what I’m saying.

Michele: Yes I’m angry, but it happened a long time ago. Bridget is not that girl anymore, and I’m working on forgiving her. I mean you didn’t expect me to just come back and everything was gonna be great.

Jake: No, but it’s still there. You need to talk to somebody about it. Look, can you at least think about it? You can’t walk around with this anger.

    Michele nods her head.

Michele: You know what I’ll...I’ll think about it.

Jake: I need all of my kids to get along.

Michele: Speaking of which, I’m gonna go see my big sister soon.

Jake: Lindsay’s gonna need all of our support.

Their phones chime about a second apart. Michele gets her phone off of the coffee table and Jake looks at his.

Jake: What this? Party at the Corys.

    Michele picks up her phone.

Michele: Is that what it says? Because I…

Michele looks at her phone is able to read the text. She smiles with surprise, then quickly returns her look to regular.

Michele: Cory’s dad is throwing a dinner party. I wonder what for.

    -------------------------------------------------

Cory: Well I believe her when she said she was cool with me and Bridget.

Elizabeth: You all turned a blind eye to what Bridget did. All that crap that she pulled isn’t lost on Michele.

Cory: Why are you so determined to think the worst about Bridget? She’s not that kind of person anymore.

Elizabeth: Because she’s not gonna change. She wanted you, and she got you, and she’ll probably do anything she needs to do to keep you.

Suddenly, Cory and Elizabeth’s attentions are grabbed by someone at the living room doors.

    (Play this song
on low as you read the following scene)

    Carl: My darling daughter.

    Elizabeth: Dad!

Elizabeth runs up to Carl and hugs him, but after the embrace, she looks into his face, noticing a bit of a pale complexion.

Elizabeth: You look tired, your face...no...no not again.

Rachel enters and closes the double doors to the living room.

Elizabeth: Mom please tell me this isn’t…

Rachel: I think you two need to sit down. We have to talk to you.

As the CAMERA PANS slowly away from the living room, showing the four of them through the glass doors, Rachel and Carl tell the children that Carl’s brain tumor has returned, and that it’s inoperable this time. Elizabeth covers her face and cries. Cory shakes his in disbelief. The four gather around and hug, with Carl in the middle.

Frankie turns around to face Cass, and smiles.

Frankie: Hmm and what do you think that might be?

    Cass: You’ve seen it before.

Frankie: It? Sounds like a repeat of a TV show.

Cass: It’s way more entertaining than that. In fact, it’s a must see.

    Frankie: Is that right?

Cass: It’s a modern 2015 show, so it’s very interactive.

You forgot that your mother told me that you wrecked her car, and don’t try to call mom or Mitch. I’ve already told them that you’d try to ask them to buy you a car. Jasmine?

Matt looks at the phone and realizes that Jasmine hung up on him.

Carl: Ahh the joys of being a parent.

    Matt: Especially when they’re eighteen.

Carl: Just like your brother and sister.

    Matt: How’s it going?

Carl: I’m at peace. I’m home with my family.

Matt: Well I’m gonna head to the office.

Carl: Wait, Matthew, before you go. May I talk to you?

Matt: I haven’t got a lot of time Carl. I really gotta get back.

Carl: The things I did to your father...and your mother.

Rachel sits at a table seemingly staring into space and she flashes back.

    (EPISODE 200)

Rachel: Carl please...please tell me what’s going on? Tell me that I’m wrong about what I’m thinking.

Carl: About the tumor returning? No darling, unfortunately you’re correct. It’s back.

Rachel flashes back to the present, looks up and sees Amanda.

    Amanda: Mom are you okay?

Rachel: I’m glad you’re here. Please sit.

Amanda puts her purse on the chair, and sits looking straight at Rachel.

    Amanda: Mom what’s going on?

Rachel: There’s something I...need to tell you.

    -----------------------

Matt: Carl you don’t have to apologize for that anymore. It happened over twenty five years ago.

Carl: I’m grateful to have been part of your lives. I never tried to take Mackenzie’s place in your life, but I’m glad I was able to be here when I was.

Matt (chuckling nervously): Carl you’re talking in past tense what’s going on?

Carl: I wanted to tell...all of the children before the party.

    Matt: Tell us what?

    Carl: I’m dying.

    Matt: You’re what?

    Carl: The tumor’s returned.

    -------------------------

Amanda: Oh my God mom. I don’t know what to say. I’m so sorry.

Rachel: Thank you honey. We wanted to tell all the children before the party.

    Amanda: A party.

Rachel: Carl is throwing a party at the house to announce it to everyone.

Amanda: Mom is there anything I can do for you?

Rachel: Just look out for your little brother and sister.

Amanda: Oh...Cory and Elizabeth. Did you…?

    Rachel: We told them.

Amanda: They must be so devastated.

    -------------------------

Matt: I’ll do everything I can to help Cory and Elizabeth. I know what it’s like to lose a father.

Carl: I know. You’re very strong young man. I want you to instill some of that in Cory. I can at least take comfort in the fact that Cory and Elizabeth will have their family, especially their brother and sisters. I hate having to leave my children. You, Matthew, are so great with Jasmine. Tell her how much you love her, as often as you can. You really don’t know how long you have left on this earth.

    -------------------------

Amanda: Mom you’re going through this again.

Rachel: You know at least this time I...can prepare for it. With your father it was unexpected.

    Amanda: The plane crash.

Rachel: This time it’s a bit different, but no less painful. Guess you can never really be prepared for something like this. Carl’s going to die, and there’s nothing I can do about it.

Amanda looks at Rachel not knowing what to say, and suddenly Iris approaches them.

Iris: Did I hear you right? Carl’s dying?

Rachel and Amanda both roll their eyes as if they didn’t want Iris to know this soon.

    PART 2

Cass and Frankie lie in bed.

Cass: Hmm how did you like that program?

Frankie: It’s one of those shows that I enjoy seeing over and over again, and interacting with.

Cass: Sounds like you’re ready for another showing.

Frankie: So it’s a two parter?

    Cass: You’re such a smart...viewer.

Frankie: I’m gonna be doing more than watching.

Their cell phones continue to vibrate and they stop.

Cass: Ugh let’s check our phones.

Frankie: You’re right. It’s getting on my nerves.

They check their text messages and Frankie becomes concerned while Cass smiles.

    Cass: Mine is from Maggie.

    Frankie: Oh...um how is she?

Cass: She’s coming to Bay City. She got a job at the hospital.

    Frankie: That’s...that’s wonderful.

    Cass: Frankie what’s wrong?

Frankie: Carl wants to see me as soon as possible. Cass I got a bad feeling about this.

    -------------------------------------------------

Matt: I know we’ve had our differences, but I can’t deny the fact that you made my mother very happy, and you allowed her to love again after dad died.

Carl: I love your mother with all of my being.

Matt: It took me a while to see that.

    Carl: I understand.

Matt: My mom’s gonna be a mess, or at least inside she is.

Carl: You know your mother well don’t you?

Matt: She’s gonna act like she’s dealing. She’s gonna try to be the strong one for Cory and Elizabeth.

Carl: I can see her now trying to comfort everyone else.

Matt: When she’s the one who’s gonna need the most comforting.

Carl: You’ve always been a dutiful son to her.

Matt: And that’s not gonna change now. She’s had so much loss. Dad, grandma and now you. How is she ever gonna deal with this?

    ---------------------------------

Amanda: I’m gonna go call Alli. I’ll be right back mom.

Rachel: Yes Iris. Carl is dying.

    Iris: Rachel I’m so sorry.

Rachel: I’m sure that you are.

Iris: I’m being serious. You’ve had a lot of loss in your life.

    Rachel: Thanks for reminding me.

Iris: Listen I know that we’ve been on opposite sides of the spectrum, and I have never been Carl’s biggest fan, but I never would wish that on you, or Cory. Poor Cory, he’s gonna be so hurt, and what about Elizabeth?

Rachel: Don’t worry about my children. I will take care of them.

Iris: I know given our history you have a hard time believing me, but you forgot that I lost Dennis’s father.

    Rachel: Alex Wheeler.

Iris: He’s really the only man I’ve ever loved; so much that I gave him a child. That was such a painful time for me, and then daddy. Especially after what I was trying to do.

    Rachel: Yes I remember.

Iris’s eyes start to well up.

Iris: You made me tell daddy the truth, and when I did, he was so angry with me.

    Rachel: Understandably.

Iris: I betrayed him. I hurt him badly. I was The Chief. I was the one trying to take over Cory Publishing.

    Rachel begins to soften up.

Rachel: But you...and Mac patched things up.

Iris: Yes we did, and it was the last conversation I had with him before he died. So you see Rachel, if it weren’t for you; if you hadn’t made me tell daddy that I was The Chief, we never would have worked things out. Losing Alex and daddy were the most painful experiences in my life, and I don’t wish that pain; that hurt; that loss...on anybody. Not you...not anyone. Iris wipes tears from her face and gets up.

Rachel: Iris…thank you. I’d appreciate it if you don’t tell anyone about Carl yet.

As Iris is walking away, she answers a call on her cell phone.

Iris: Hi. I’m fine. Sounds like you’re on a plane, are you on your way to Bay City? I’ll see you when you get here. There’s something I need to tell you.

    -------------------------------------

    PRIVATE PLANE

A guy hangs up the phone and looks out the window. Meanwhile, Lorna Devon comes out from behind the curtain and sits across from him.

Lorna: What are you thinking about?

Guy: I haven’t seen dad in years.

Lorna: Well, Devin Lucas, you’ll also get to meet my mother.

Devin Lucas: Hope she’s not like my grandfather.

Lorna: You’re gonna love Felicia, just like she’s gonna love you.

Devin Lucas: Well in that case, it seems like there’s a lot for me to look forward to in Bay City.

    Allen visits with Marley…
Allen:  Come on when’s my nephew gonna drop?
Marley:  My due date is in a week.
Allen:  Wow I can’t believe it’s so close.  I thought you’d never have the baby.
Marley:  Very funny cuz.  Thanks for keepin me company during this bed rest I’ve been on.
    Allen:  We’re family right?
    Tyrone walks in.
    Marley:  There’s my loving husband.
    Tyrone:  Hey baby.
Tyrone walks over and kisses Marley.
Tyrone:  Allen what are you doing here?
Allen:  I...came to talk to you.
    Tyrone:  Me?  Why?
Allen:  Cuz I want us to be brothers.
    --------------------------------------------------------------
    AT THE MCKINNONS
Vicky is curled up on the couch as she flashes back..
    (EPISODE 207)
Vicky:  All I see is someone who is looking for an excuse to get out of this marriage.
Jake:  You think that’s it?  You think this doesn’t hurt?
Vicky:  I can’t tell Jake.  Maybe you’re just itching to leave me.
Jake:  You were the one who gave me an ultimatum.
Vicky:  Oh Jake so suddenly holier than thou.  Con artist, blackmailer, sleazy newspaper reporter.  Is that the life you want?  Are you bored?  Is that why you want out?
Jake:  Dammit Vicky!  You just don’t get it!
Vicky:  Oh I get it.  Oh do I ever...get it.  You’ve given up on our marriage.  How could you?
    Vicky walks out.
Vicky flashes back to the present and a tear rolls down her cheek.  Michele comes downstairs and Vicky wipes the tear, and quickly pulls herself together.
Vicky:  Hi honey.  How are you?
    Michele:  I’m good.
Vicky:  It’s a nice day out.  Any plans?
Michele:  I’m gonna head over to the Love Mansion.
Vicky:  Oh?  Gonna go visit your grandparents?  I’m sure they’d be thrilled to see you.
Michele:  Yeah.  I’m gonna see them...and Bridget.  Mom I haven’t been completely honest with you.
    Vicky:  About what honey?
    Michele:  About everything...especially about Bridget.
    -----------------------------------------------
LOVE MANSION...Donna is sitting with Michael on the living room couch.
Donna:  You know I’ve been thinking a lot about the girls.
Michael:  You’re always thinking about the girls.
Donna:  Victoria and her marriage and...Marley’s due any day now.
Michael:  What about Bridget and Michele?
Donna:  Of course I worry about them the most.  I wonder what we’re gonna do to get those two on solid ground again.
Michael:  We don’t do anything Donna.
Donna:  So you’re saying you want a repeat of what happened between Marley and Victoria?
Michael:  Of course I don’t want that, but I think you’re overreacting just a little.
Donna:  It’s better for me to overreact than to brush it aside and have something happen that could hurt one of them.
Michael:  Well you haven’t heard anything lately right?  Bridget’s living here, and Michele’s living at home.
Donna:  But they shouldn’t be separated.  They’re twins for God’s sake.
Michael:  Maybe things have died down between them.  Who knows?   Maybe they’ll even...kiss and make up.
    ------------------------------------------------------
    LOVE MANSION
In Bridget’s bedroom, Cory and Bridget are lying in the bed kissing.  Bridget is taking breaths as if she’s losing herself in Cory’s kisses.
Bridget:  I love when you touch me.
    Cory:  Is that it?
    Bridget:  No.
Cory starts rubbing her left thigh gently.
    Cory:  You like that?
    Bridget:  Yeah, I love it.
Bridget moves Cory’s hand closer between her legs.
Bridget:  It’s time Cory.  We’ve waited long enough.
They kiss passionately and start to remove each other’s clothes.
    Cory:  Wait a minute.
Cory quickly goes to his book bag, grabs a condom, and opens the wrapper to slip it on.

Tyrone:  Why now?  Did you have some type of epiphany or something?
Allen:  Guess you could say that.
Marley:  I think this is great.
Tyrone:  Forgive me if I’m a little skeptical after everything you’ve pulled since you came to Bay City.
Allen:  I just found my daughter man.
Tyrone:  K.C.?   Yeah Marley told me.  You must be…happy.
Allen:  I didn’t know anything about til the night my grandfather kidnapped her.
Tyrone:  Reginald Love.  He’s the best isn’t he?
Allen:  I guess what I wanna say is...ever since I found out Nicole Love was my mother, family’s become very important to me.  I’ve connected with my Aunt Donna, Vicky, Marley, but it’s one thing missing...my own brother.
Tyrone:  You wanna be brothers now?
Allen:  I guess that’s...that’s on you.  I wanna bury the hatchet.
Marley:  This is really sweet.  You’re gonna make me cry and I’m already hormonal.
Tyrone nods his head in agreement.
Tyrone:  I think so, too.  Roman’s gonna need his uncle Allen when he comes into the world.  Besides, what kind of example am I gonna set for him if I got a grudge against my own brother.
Marley:  So this means you guys are going to make up.
    Tyrone:  Yeah...it does.
    Tyrone and Allen hug.
Marley:  Now we gotta get Bridget and Michele to do what you guys are doing.
    --------------------------------------------
    Vicky:  What do you mean?
Michele:  Elizabeth Hutchins was here earlier and we were talking about Bridget.
Vicky:  And what did you come up with?
Michele:  I’ve been very angry with her.
Vicky:  And that’s understandable with all the stunts she pulled.
Michele:  When I got back to Bay City, I wanted Bridget to pay for everything she had done.
Vicky:  Did you...want to hurt your sister?
Michele:  I never wanted to hurt her.
Vicky:  Of course you didn’t.  That’s what I’ve been trying to tell everyone.
Michele:  Aunt Marley and Grandma Donna have been pleading with me to stop being so angry.  They think I’m gonna do to Bridget what…
Vicky (taking a deep breath):  Marley did to me.
Michele:  And I’ve been thinking a lot about it and...it’s time for me to go tell Bridget that I forgive her, and for us to be sisters again.
Vicky:  Honey, that is the best news I’ve heard all day.  So proud of you.
    Vicky hugs Michele.
    ---------------------------------------------------
Cory and Bridget plop themselves next to each other lying on the bed as they look up at the ceiling.
    Bridget:  Wow that was...that was.
    Cory:  The bomb?
    Bridget:  People still say that?
Cory:  You’ve been doing some reading haven’t you?
    Bridget:  Reading what?
    Cory:  About sex.
    Bridget:  Mmmmm maybe I have.
Cory:  The way you did things, it didn’t seem like it was your first time.
Bridget:  But it was, and it was...everything I hoped it would be.
Bridget leans on Cory and starts to kiss him again.  Cory takes off the used condom and tosses it in the wastebasket next to the bed.
    Cory:  Gonna need another one.
    Bridget:  I’m...kinda sore.
Cory:  We can stop if you want.
Bridget:  There are...other things I’ve been reading about.
    Bridget crawls under the covers…
    -------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, downstairs in the living room…
Donna:  I sure hope so.  The last thing is to relive what happened between Marley and Victoria all those years ago.
Michael:  It’s not gonna happen Donna.  I wish you’d stop thinking like that.
Donna:  I can’t help it.  You weren’t there.
Michael:  Thank your father for that.
Donna:  Marley was so angry.  The sweet Marley we all knew was a different person.  When I fell and hit my head, I couldn’t even say anything.  I had to watch as she plotted against Victoria, and she locked her in the basement of this house.  I’ll be damned if I let that happen with Michele and Bridget.
Michael:  I’m not taking anything away from Marley and Vicky, but you gotta have faith in the girls.  The girls are fighting, but they’ll resolve their differences.  I mean, didn’t Marley and Vicky do that?  Look how close they’ve gotten.
Donna:  You don’t understand.  I don’t want our granddaughters to have to go through that to get close again.
Michael:  Well Donna there’s not much we can do about it.
Donna:  So you think we should just stand by and watch those two kill each other?
Michael:  That’s not what’s happening, and it’s not going to happen.
Donna:  You don’t know that now do you?
Michael:  I have faith in Michele and Bridget.  They will work things out Donna...you’ll see.

    PART 1
    STACEY’S APARTMENT
Lindsay is lying down on the couch dressed in her blue pajamas and Stacey walks into the living room.
Stacey:  Look Lindsay you can’t lie around and be depressed about this forever.
Lindsay:  Oh you’re a shrink now.  I guess you’re gonna ask me how it makes me feel?
Stacey:  Sarcasm isn’t gonna help you right now.
Lindsay:  You wanna know how it makes me feel don’t you?  Do you wanna how a hysterectomy makes me feel?  I’m nothing.  I feel...empty.  I’m never gonna have a child!  I feel worthless.
Stacey:  If that’s your attitude then that’s what’s gonna happen.  There are other ways you can have children.
Lindsay:  Oh wait, you’re gonna tell me I can adopt.  You know what’ll happen?   I’ll attach myself to the child until the birth mother decides she wants to come and take custody, and I will have no choice but to give the child back to its natural mother.  You see, natural mothers have more power; biological mothers hold all the cards.  I will never be anyone’s biological mother.
Stacey:  And how long are you gonna down about it?  How long are you gonna sit here and feel sorry for yourself?  You’re better than that Lindsay.  You’re stronger than that!
Lindsay:  You’re really something aren’t you?  You’re gonna tell me how I should feel?
Stacey:  Of course not honey.  I want you to get through this, but moping around, having a pity party, that’s not you.  That’s someone else, and whoever that person is has taken my daughter, and I’m gonna get the real you back, no matter what I have to do.
Lindsay:  You want me back mom?  How about you and Gregory stop treating me like a delicate, porcelain trinket?
Stacey:  We can help you if you let us.
    Stacey’s eyes well up.
Stacey:  I love you so much.
Stacey leaves out the front door.  Outside she leans her back on the wall next to the door, and looks up at the ceiling.
Stacey:  My God what am I gonna do?
    Michael walks up.
    Michael:  You alright?
Stacey runs up and hugs Michael.
    Stacey:  No.  Not at all.
Michael:  Worried about your daughter huh?
    Stacey:  Yeah...very.
    Michael:  Are you headed out?
Stacey:  Yeah I’m..I was headed to the office.
Michael:  Why don’t we...go somewhere?  To the Center maybe?
Stacey: Yeah...I have a few minutes.  Sure.
    As they walk away slowly.
Michael:  Guess we’re both worried huh?
Stacey:  You must be worried about...Lindsay’s sisters.
    Michael:  Yep, Bridget and Michele.

Vicky and Michele are in the living room.
Michele:  And I’ve been thinking a lot about it and...it’s time for me to go tell Bridget that I forgive her, and for us to be sisters again.

    Vicky hugs Michele.
    Michele:  Thanks mom.
Vicky:  Can I ask you a question?
    Michele:  Sure.
Vicky:  Did you...cut yourself with those scissors in the hospital?
    Michele flashes back.
    (EPISODE 191)
Michele turns around, and walks to the counter slowly. She secretly grabs a pair of gauze scissors and starts digging them into her left arm until she draws blood.
Michele flashes back to the present.
    Michele:  That’s...that’s not important.
Vicky:  So Bridget did attack you?
Michele:  Whatever Bridget did, I forgive her.
Vicky:  I always knew that you would do the right thing.  You always did.  That’s my girl.  If you were angry at Bridget, I knew you would eventually would try to resolve your differences.
Michele: And I’m gonna head over to the Love Mansion to let her know.
    ---------------------------------------------
    LOVE MANSION
Donna walks to the foyer and sees Bridget and Cory coming downstairs.
    Donna:  Cory?  Bridget?
    Cory:  Hi Donna.
Donna:  Cory what were you doing upstairs?
Cory looks at Bridget who is a step behind him.
    Donna:  You two...in my house?
    Cory:  I can explain…
Bridget:  Explain what Cory?  My grandmother seems to have figured out what happened.  We slept together.
Donna:  Cory can you let Bridget and I talk please?
    Cory:  I’m gonna...head home.
    Bridget:  I’ll call you.
They kiss and Donna turns her attention to Bridget.
    Bridget:  Where’s grandpa?
    Donna:  He went out.
Bridget:  Well I’m gonna go see dad.
Donna:  Not now you’re not.  In the living room...now!  You’re reminding me of your mother.
    --------------------------------------------------------
Vicky is curled up on the living room couch and her arms folded.  She looks at the divorce papers on the coffee table, and has a flashback…
    (EPISODE 207)
Jake:  Vicky you need to face the truth.  Ever since Michele’s accident we haven’t been the same since.
    Vicky:  We got past that.
Jake:  Then you knew about Lindsay being my daughter and you didn’t tell me.
Vicky:  I was trying to protect our family!
Jake:  But you didn’t did you?  I don’t trust you Vicky.  Ever since you kept the truth about Lindsay from me, I have a hard time trusting you.
Vicky flashes back to the present, and uncurls herself from the couch and sits up and sighs.
Vicky:  What am I gonna do?
Suddenly, someone gently places his hand on her right shoulder, and she touches it, as if the feeling is familiar to her.  She looks up...
    Vicky:  You?
Vicky sees a smiling Ryan Harrison, dressed in street clothes.

    PART 2
AT THE CENTER...Michael and Stacey are sitting at a table across from each other.
Stacey:  I don’t know what else to do Michael.  I hate seeing her like this.
Michael:  It’s getting to you isn’t it?
Stacey:  I’m used to seeing her alive; on the go; determined.  I mean she came to Bay City all on her own to find Jake.  This person that I’ve been seeing the last few days...that’s not my daughter.  You know?
    Michael:  I know.
Stacey:  I just wanna reach inside and take what’s bothering her out, so she can be herself again.
Michael:  Unfortunately there’s not much we can do about that.  We see our children going down a road that’s gonna lead them to hurt.  We do what we can do stop them, and we can’t.  Donna told me about Vicky and Shane Roberts all those years ago.
    Stacey:  I heard about that.
Michael:  My twin brother got killed an accident trying to stop her from sleeping with him.  I wasn’t there but I can identify with that feeling.
    Stacey:  Parental instinct I guess.
    They both chuckle.
Stacey:  Well I’m glad you decided to come see me.
Michael:  I needed a friend.  I mean...we’re still friends after all these years right?
Stacey:  You’re really worried your twin granddaughters huh?
Michael:  Yeah I didn’t wanna tell Donna.  She’s worried to the twentieth power, and if I show her that I’m worried I don’t think it would help.
Stacey:  Well you know Donna better than anyone.
Michael:  I should.  I married her four times right?
Stacey:  Right?  Well I gotta...get to the office.
Michael places his hand on Stacey’s.
Michael:  If you...need anything I’m here for you.  Okay?
She slips her hand from under his.
Stacey:  Sure.  Thank you.  I’ll keep that in mind.  So where are you headed now?
    Michael:  Home.
She smiles, steps away, and places a call on her cell phone.
Stacey:  Can you come to my office?  I need to talk to you.
    ----------------------------------------------------------
Donna and Bridget are sitting on the living room couch.
Bridget:  Are you gonna give me the talk?  Because I heard it from mom and dad already.
Donna:  You watch your attitude young lady!  I just hope you and Cory were responsible, and used protection.
Bridget:  Why wouldn’t have we used a condom?
Donna:  I don’t know Bridget.  You tell me.
Bridget:  Really?  You think I’m gonna do what mom did when she slept with Jake and Jamie Frame.  She didn’t know who Steven’s father was, and then a few years later she slept with Ryan and Grant, and again she didn’t know who Kirkland’s father was.
    Donna:  That’s not what I meant…
Bridget:  Come on Grandma Donna, of course it’s what you mean.   You think I’m gonna end up like mom.  I guarantee you I won’t be needing any DNA tests.
Donna:  So you did use protection?
Bridget:  Yes.  We used a condom.
Donna:  Thank God.  I’m relieved that you and Cory were responsible.  And you’re right...I don’t want you to be in the same situation that your mother was in.
    ------------------------------------------------------
Vicky and Ryan are hugging and she straddles his face.
    Vicky:  You look…
    Ryan:  Older?
Vicky:  I thought you guys don’t age up there.
Ryan:  This is how I’d look if I was still on earth.
Vicky:  You...came at the perfect time.  You’re gonna tell me how to put my family back together.
Ryan:  Come on Vick, you know I can’t tell you what to do.
Vicky:  Why not?  Haven’t you learned anything from your boss in twenty years?
Ryan:  Oh there she is.  Same ole Vicky I knew and loved.
Vicky:  You and I should have gotten married and had a family.  You were the man I loved.
Ryan:  So you regret the family and the life you built with Jake?
Vicky:  No...no that’s not what I’m saying at all.  It’s like our...plans got cut short by Grant.  I mean he spent years trying to get sole custody of Kirkland.
Ryan:  I know what my brother did.  You and I weren’t meant to be Vicky, but you and Jake were.  You two have a great family.
Vicky:  We don’t have anything anymore.  He wants a divorce.
    Ryan:  I know.

    PART 1
    AT STACEY’S OFFICE
Stacey is sitting at her desk as someone walks in..
Stacey:  Thanks for coming.  Have a seat.
    It’s Jake.
    Jake:  Is everything okay?
    Stacey:  No.  Not at all.
    Jake:  It’s about Lindsay right?
Stacey:  Yes.  She’s sinking deeper and deeper into this hole and I can’t get her out.  She needs your help...I need your help.

    AT THE CENTER…
Devin Lucas is walking with Lorna.  Lorna is looking up and around.
Lorna:  Wow.  This place is amazing.
    Devin Lucas:  Must be new.
Lorna:  It is.  This place wasn’t here when I lived in Bay City.  It looks great.
    Devin Lucas is despondent.
Lorna:  Thinkin about your dad aren’t you?
    Devin Lucas:  You’re a mindreader.
They stop walking and Lorna faces him.
Lorna:  Honey, we can’t change the past.
Devin Lucas:  I feel so cheated mom.  Years I missed with my father.
Lorna:  And we explained why.  I was the only one who was able to come and see you.
Devin Lucas:  I know.  I’m not blaming anybody.  It’s just that now that I can come out of hiding, we learn that he’s dying of a brain tumor.  It’s not fair.  You know?
Lorna:  I know baby.  We’re gonna get through this okay.
Lorna hugs Devin Lucas.  Meanwhile, Charlie and Lindsay are walking from around the corner with department store shopping bags.
Lindsay:  Oh my God this felt so good.  I just had to get those shoes.
Charlie:  I had no idea what to get for Carl’s party.  I loved that dress you picked out.
Lindsay:  It will look great on you.  Kirkland’s gonna love it, too.
    Charlie:  Thank you.
Lindsay:  No...you’re the one I should be thanking.  You got me out of the house.  You got my mind off my situation.
Charlie:  It’s good to see you smiling.
Lindsay:  I haven’t had much to smile about lately.
Charlie:  Linds don’t let this set you back.  You can come back from this.
Lindsay:  I’m so happy you came.  You’re the only one who doesn’t tiptoe around me.  Worried they’re gonna say the wrong thing.
Charlie:  I take it you’re talking about your mom and Gregory.
Devin Lucas and Lorna release each other from their embrace and someone catches his eye.
    Devin Lucas:  Mom?
    Lorna:  Yep.
Devin Lucas:  That’s my niece isn’t she?
Lorna:  Charlie Winthrop Harrison.  Yep that’s Frankie’s daughter.
Devin Lucas isn’t focused on Charlie.
Devin Lucas:  Who’s that with her?
Lorna:  That’s her cousin Lindsay Winthrop.
Devin Lucas:  I think it’s time we’re formally introduced.
Devin Lucas gently passes his mother and heads toward Charlie and Lindsay.  Meanwhile, Gregory, drinking a bottle of water, walks up to Lorna, who is watching Devin Lucas.
    Gregory:  Lorna?
    Lorna:  Hi?
    Gregory:  It’s Gregory.
Lorna:  Gregory Hudson.  John and Sharlene’s son?
My God you’re all grown up now.  You were yay big the last time I saw you.
Gregory:  What are you looking at?
    Lorna:  My son.
Gregory:  Why is he going over toward my girlfriend?
Gregory tosses his empty bottle of water in the garbage, and Lorna puts a glove on, retrieves the bottle, and puts it in her purse.  Meanwhile, Devin Lucas approaches Charlie and Lindsay.
    Devin Lucas:  Shopping?
    Charlie:  Yeah.
Devin Lucas:  Hey aren’t you my niece?
    Charlie:  Huh?
Devin Lucas:  Oh I’m sorry.  I’m Devin Lucas Hutchins.
Charlie:  Hutchins?  That’s my grandfather’s last name.
Devin Lucas:  Your grandfather is my father.
    He turns to Lindsay.
    Devin Lucas:  And you are?
    Lindsay:  I’m Lindsay.
Devin Lucas:  Good to meet you.
Devin Lucas extends his right hand, and Lindsay extends her right hand through the handles of the shopping bag, and they shake.
Devin Lucas:  You must be shopping for my dad’s party tomorrow night.

    CORY MANSION
Carl answers the door and sees Russ Matthews.
Carl:  Dr. Matthews.  Come on in.  Please.
Russ:  This place hasn’t changed at all.
They walk into the living room.
Carl:  Ohh this place holds a lot of history.  I’m going to miss it.
Russ:  I came to give you some painkillers.
Carl:  No...Dr. Matthews.  I’m going to go out with grace and dignity.
Rachel walks toward the living room doors, leans on the archway, and smiles as she sees Russ and Carl.
Russ:  Carl these will ease the pain.  I know the tumor is growing quickly.
Carl:  Somehow I feel I...deserve it.  Especially after all the pain I’ve caused everyone else over the years.
Rachel:  Don’t talk like that.  You’ve atoned for all of that.
Russ:  Rachel’s right.  Your party is tomorrow.  Let’s focus on that.
    Rachel:  I agree.
Carl:  I can’t help but to think how things could have been different for everyone if I weren’t so evil.  Especially Cass and Frankie.

    AT THE WINTHROPS
Christy has just made an unexpected visit.
Cass:  What the hell are you doing here?  How dare you show your face at my house?
Christy:  I know this is...this is unexpected.
    Cass:  And unwelcome.
Christy:  But I’ve made a decision and I thought that Mary Frances would be the first person I told.
Cass:  Why don’t you go back to hell where you came from and send a letter?
    Frankie:  Let her in.  Please.
    Cass:  Frankie---
Frankie:  Let her in.  What is it that you have to tell us Christy?
Christy (walking in):  Thank you so much Mary Frances.  You’ve always been so good to me.
Cass:  Say what you have to say and get the hell out!
Christy:  I’m gonna do that Cass, all the way out of town.  I’m leaving Bay City.

    PART 2
    Jake:  How has she been?
    Stacey:  She’s been depressed.
Jake:  Well that was to be expected right?  Especially after what she found out.
Stacey:  Yeah but she hasn’t left the house in three days.  She hasn’t even showered or put on regular clothes.
Jake:  Stacey you’re overreacting.  She’s not gonna stay like that forever.
Stacey:  I hate seeing her like that Jake.  That’s not her.  That’s not the Lindsay I raised.  That’s not the Lindsay that came to Bay City determined to find you.
Jake:  Sounds like she’s gonna need professional help.
Stacey:  It sounds like she needs her father.  Jake she needs you.
Jake:  Of course I will do whatever to help our daughter get through this, but I can’t help with any depression, and honestly I think Lindsay’s gonna snap out of it on her own.  She’s a very strong willed girl.
Stacey:  I hope so.  I truly hope so.
    Jake:  Come here.
    Jake hugs Stacey.
Jake:  We’re gonna get through this.  Where’s Lindsay now?
    Stacey:  She’s home.
    Jake:  I’ll go see her...okay?
    Stacey nods her head.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    Lorna:  Lindsay Winthrop’s your girlfriend?
    Gregory:  Yeah.
Lorna:  Well I’m sure when Devin Lucas finds out he’ll back off.
Gregory:  She looks very comfortable with him.
Lorna:  Is that a bad thing?
Gregory:  She’s been pushing me away.
Meanwhile, Devin Lucas talks to Lindsay and Charlie.
Charlie:  Uncle Devin as a matter of fact we were.
Lindsay:  Yep, the shopping was soooo therapeutic.  You know this girl, my cuz, it’s like she’s my sister.  She knew exactly what I needed.
Devin Lucas:  Well, does she know that you need an escort, too?
Lindsay notices Gregory out of the corner of her right eye and it gets her attention.
Gregory:  I hope my girl let’s me bring her to Carl’s party.
    Charlie:  Hey Gregory.
Gregory immediately turns to Devin Lucas.
Gregory:  I’m Gregory Hudson...and you are?
    Devin Lucas:  Devin Lucas Hutchins.
The two exchange a firm handshake.
Lindsay:  Gregory, we were shopping for the party at the Cory’s tomorrow.
Gregory:  You don’t have to explain.  Looks like you’re feeling better.
Lindsay:  I...I just went shopping with Charlie---
Gregory:  Hit me up later okay.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
Cass:  You’re leaving town?  That’s great, but why now?
Christy:  I had to make sure that my child was okay.
Frankie:  Eric seems like a strong guy.
Christy:  I missed a lot of time with my son because of Douglas, and I just wanted to stick around and make sure that he was going to be fine.  I’m not certain that he’s gonna wanna come with me when I leave.
Frankie:  Well I’m glad you made this decision.  I’m sure wherever you go you’ll be able to start fresh without anyone judging you.
Christy:  I wonder how that even feels.  Here I’m the killer who got a governor’s pardon.
Cass:  That shoe fits you well.
Christy:  I completely understand why you feel the way you do Cass.
    Cass:  Don’t patronize me.
Frankie:  Cass.  Listen, Christy whatever you decide I’ll support you.
Christy:  Thank you Mary Frances that means so much to me.
