ANOTHER WORLD EPISODE 65 The St. Croix story reaches a shocking climax HOSPITAL Lindsay is coaching Gregory, who is propping himself up by the bars. Lindsay (following Gregory along the bars): You’re doing great! Keep on! Gregory (sweating): Few more…steps. Lindsay: Yes! Come on! Gregory gets to the end of the bars. Lindsay: Yes! That’s great! Gregory plops back in the wheelchair, exhausted. Lindsay: You’re making significant progress every day it seems like. Gregory: Thanks to you. Lindsay: No…you deserve all the credit. Lindsay bends down to kiss Gregory and John interrupts, and he’s holding a folder. John: Hey kids. Gregory: Dad. Lindsay: Hi Dr. Hudson. John: How’s my boy doing? Lindsay: He’s making a lot of progress. John: Makes sense. Lindsay: He’s determined. John: That’s what the tests show. I looked at your films, and the swelling has gone down in your spine at a rapid rate. All the feeling should be coming back. Gregory and Lindsay look at each other in amazement. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ST CROIX OUTSIDE The fire department is putting out the blaze and all the hostages have made it out alive. Jake checks on Frankie and Sharlene. Jake: Are you alright? Sharlene: I’m fine. I’m glad we got outta there. Frankie: Jake…thank you for coming with me. You didn’t have to do that. Jake: Look at what happened. You could have died in there. Charlie would have lost her mother. Frankie: And Vicky would have lost her husband. Not to mention Bridget. When we get back to Bay City, Vicky is the first person you need to go see. Jake: And Cass and Charlie are the ones you need to run to. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ HOSPITAL John is in his office when Rachel walks in. John: Rachel. What’s going on? Rachel: It’s Sharlene. I know where she is because Amanda is there, too. John: What? Rachel: They’ve been kidnapped by Evan Frame. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EVAN’S SUITE Evan is lying on the floor in a pool of blood, having just been shot by Grant, and twitches his fingers, indicating he is still alive. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PRIVATE PLANE ON THE WAY BACK TO BAY CITY Grant is on the phone. Grant: Check on him…make sure that the job is finished. John: Evan Frame? Why did he kidnap Sharlene? That’s his aunt for God’s sake. Rachel: They’ve connected him to Dr. Taylor’s murder. John: He stole the laptop and the notes. Why? Rachel: He wants to exact his revenge on those who turned on his mother. I killed her over thirty years ago. John: Why hasn’t he come after you? Rachel: I guess he wants to get to me through the people I love, like Amanda. Allen knocks on the door and walks in. Allen: Rachel. Rachel: What the hell are you doing here? Allen: Have you spoken to Amanda? Rachel’s cell phone rings… ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ST CROIX AMANDA (WITH CAMERON OVER HER SHOULDER) ON A CELL PHONE. Amanda: Mom? Rachel: Oh my God Amanda. I’ve been worried sick. Are you alright? Where are you? Amanda: Yes I’m fine. I’m in St. Croix. Rachel: You didn’t come back to the front of the church. Amanda: I ran into Evan. Rachel: He shot Mitch didn’t he? Amanda: Yes he did. How is he? Rachel: I’ll explain when you come home. Just get here. Amanda: Cameron’s here? Rachel: Cameron? Amanda: Evan was holding him hostage. We got a lot to talk about when I get home. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HOSPITAL Allen watches Rachel on the phone. Allen: Is that Amanda? Amanda! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frankie walks over to Amanda. Frankie: Is that Rachel? I’ve gotta tell her something. Can I talk to her? Amanda: Sure. Mom. I love you. Rachel: Love you, too honey. Amanda hands the phone to Frankie. Frankie: Rachel this is Frankie. Rachel you’re not gonna believe what I’m about to tell you. Rachel: Hello? (beat) Frankie I can’t hear you. Frankie: Carl’s alive. Amanda overhears and approaches Frankie. Amanda: Carl Hutchins? Alive? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ HOSPITAL Rachel: Lost a signal. Allen: Was that Amanda? Is she alright? Rachel: You don’t get to worry about Amanda. When she gets back you stay the hell away from her. Allen: Sorry Rachel, I can’t do that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Amanda: I can’t believe Evan was holding you hostage all this time. Cameron: It’s over. We’re together now. He hugs her, but Amanda thinks about Allen. JACK AND TONI ARRIVE with St. Croix officers. They approach Jake and Sharlene, and Jake gives Jack a skeptical look. Toni: Jake, Sharlene. This is Jack Snyder. He’s the Chief of Detectives at BCPD. This is Sharlene Hudson, and Jake McKinnon. Jack: Mrs. Hudson. You can use my cell phone to call your husband. Jake, good to meet you. Jake: Yeah. Are you here to get Evan? Toni: Where is he? Sharlene: He’s staying at The Beachfront Hotel. Jack: Let’s go. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES LATER… Jack, Toni, and the police arrive at Evan’s suite. They kick the door and draw their guns. Jack and Toni are shocked at what they see, and Jack checks Evan’s pulse. Toni: He looks he’s been shot. Jack: He’s dead. ANOTHER WORLD EPISODE 64 Grant makes a drastic move PLANE Jack and Toni sit next to each other. Toni: Did you talk to Carly? Jack: Yeah she wasn’t too thrilled about it, but we gotta catch a criminal. Toni (nervous sigh): St. Croix here we come. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (slow cut to): ROOM Amanda and Cameron are in bed together, as Cameron holds Amanda in his arms. Cameron: Do you know how long I’ve waited for this? This is what kept me hoping. Amanda: I had no idea you were kidnapped. If I’d known… Cameron: Shhhh you didn’t know. I don’t want to talk to about the reason why I went missing. I just wanna enjoy my time with you. Amanda is thinking about when she and Allen had sex. Amanda: You’re right. I want to think about you. Meanwhile, smoke is seeping in from underneath their door. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JAKE, FRANKIE, SHARLENE Frankie: Yes that’s all of it. Sharlene: So Janice conceived twins, but one of the eggs was implanted in Emma. That’s so weird. Jake: I can’t believe Carl Hutchins is still alive. Frankie: I don’t know how my brother pulled it off. Jake: I’m quite sure he had a lot of help. Sharlene: You’re right Jake. No way he could have done this by himself. Smoke is also rising from underneath their door. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EVAN’S SUITE Someone rings the doorbell, and Evan, drying his hair, and dressed in tan terrycloth robe, goes and opens the door to Grant. Evan: What are you doing here? Grant: We have some business to discuss. Grant has his hands behind his back, with rubber gloves on his hands. She called and asked where you were. Cameron: Was it about my son? Amanda: She didn’t say. Cameron: What’s…what’s that? Amanda: I know it smells like smoke. They notice the thickening smoke coming from underneath the door. Cameron: This building’s on fire… Cameron takes the bedpost and rams it against the door, causing it to open. Amanda: Oh my God. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JAKE/FRANKIE/SHARLENE Jake: We gotta get outta here. We gotta find out who helped Evan set all this up. Sharlene notices the thickening smoke. Sharlene: Oh My God. Frankie: Aunt Sharlene what is…. Jake: This building’s burning! He goes to bang on the door screaming for help. He tries to turn the knob and it’s too hot…but it opens. Jake: Come on let’s get outta here! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EVAN’S ROOM Grant: Aren’t you gonna invite me in? Evan: I’m not exactly dressed for the occasion Grant. Evan turns around and Grant shuts the door, and puts his gloved hands in his sport jacket pockets. Evan: I wonder how you got here. Where are the guards? Grant: You forgot. It is MY money paying them. I dismissed all of them, and I told them to unlock all the doors so your hostages can leave. Evan: Why did you do that? Grant: BECAUSE this is over. Evan faces Grant. Evan: For whom? You or me. Grant: You. Evan: Are you telling me that you’re not gonna fund my plan anymore? Grant: No more Evan. I am not gonna let you bleed me dry. Evan: Your money supply is endless Grant. I don’t think you wanna stop. Grant: Your blackmail, your hush money, it’s time for it all to end. Evan (taking out his cell phone): If that’s what you want Senator, then so be it. I can make it all be over. All it’ll take is one phone call. Grant takes out his gun, with a silencer, and points it at Evan. Grant: Put the damn phone down. Evan starts to dial a number, and Grant shoots him in the abdomen. Evan falls to the floor, and consequently drops his cell phone. Grant squats to face Evan, and confiscates Evan’s cell phone. Grant: Was it worth it Frame? I bet you think it wasn’t now, don’t you? I shot my own brother. What makes you think I wouldn’t do the same to you? Evan: Got to hell. Grant: By the looks of things, you’ll get there first. Tyrone: Yeah. Donna told me everything. Allen: Toldchu what? Tyrone: About your mother. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LOVE MANSION Donna opens the door and sees Nicole. Donna: Nicole? What? Oh it’s so good to see you. Donna hugs her sister, and Nicole doesn’t hug Donna with the same fervor. Donna: Come in. Do you want something? Nicole: Yes. Donna: Whatever you want. ANOTHER WORLD EPISODE 62 Jack and Toni close in on Evan POLICE STATION Jack and Toni are in Jack’s office. Jack: So what have you got? Toni: We’re waiting for the report on the bullet casing from the church shooting. Jack: It should confirm everything. Rachel would have been right all along. Toni: I got a copy of the invoice for those bullets. They were purchased in St. Croix. They’re only made there. Jack: Thank God Rachel came to us when she did. Toni: Mitch would be dead if she didn’t. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ROOM Felicia and Mitch lie in bed after having made love. Felicia: This wasn’t the idea I had for our honeymoon. Mitch: It’s what we got for now. Felicia: I can’t believe this. I watched you die in the hospital. How could you have put me through that? Mitch: Come on Felicia. I know you understand why we did it. We had to make it believable. Felicia: I had no idea you were wearing a bulletproof vest. Mitch: We knew Evan was gonna come after me. You can meet your niece Charlie, and Cory and Elizabeth. Evan then approaches Frankie and places the chloroformed laced cloth on her mouth, which causes her to be unconscious. FOUR PERSPECTIVES... ANOTHER WORLD RECAP EPISODE Bay City perspectives AS TOLD BY TYRONE, VICKY, GRANT and RACHEL TYRONE MONTGOMERY Ever since I got married to Marley we’ve been happy for the most part. We had some issues with her guilt and all dat, but it seems like she got over it. We’re good now. Me and Toni Burrell was together for a little bit before I knew Marley, but she loved Chris Madison, and even before that, she was married to my brother, which I also didn’t know. Man, I ain’t know she was married to my long lost brother, Allen Love. He’s sneaky. He was in Bay City all dis time and he ain’t even call to tell me. I know we don’t speak or nothing like that, but I would have figured it all out. He tried to put ‘tt’ at the end of his name. He’s Clayton Montgomery’s bastard child. It probably wasn’t the first time he cheated on my moms. Priscilla is my mother’s name, and I ain’t know how she put up with him, cuz I know it ain’t the first time he cheated on her. This makes me wonder if I’m like my dad. I look at Donna and we click for some reason. In a way that Marley and I don’t click. There’s something about Donna that just draws me to her. I don’t know what it is. I guess it’s the same reason that Marley’s father and Donna got married so many times. I know there were some situations where something could have happened, and my brother says he has proof. I could see how Marley could misinterpret the whole thing and think I was cheatin’ on her. I love Marley and I would never do that, but I start to wonder if I’m really like my father. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VICTORIA HUDSON MCKINNON Boy how things have changed since I first came to Bay City. I never thought I would be a mother. I married my childhood friend Jake, and we raised Kirkland and Steven, and we had two beautiful twin daughters, Bridget and Michele. Michele might as well have been the perfect child. She did everything we asked, she stayed out of trouble, and was going to Harvard, but my other daughter was jealous. Bridget thought we didn’t love her. I love ALL of my children equally. Steven, Kirkland, Bridget, and Michele. I miss Michele dearly. She is everything I wasn’t when I was her age. Smart, beautiful, intelligent and was going to really make something of herself, but her life was cut short due to an accident. I know Bridget would never intentionally try to injure her sister, but I do believe that she would try to sabotage her happiness. I did the same thing to Lisa Grady. I set my sights on Jamie, and I went after him. I set my sights on Grant, and I went after him. They both were involved with other people at the time, but I didn’t care. I wanted what I wanted, and Bridget is just like me. I can’t stand to see it, so I sent her to live with Donna. These lead to problems between Jake and me. He walked out. I guess he decided to focus on his work, and his co-worker. I saw him hugging Frankie Frame, and he went to St. Croix with her. Maybe he’s moved on. Jack Snyder has been a pleasant surprise so far. He’s got his children and Carly back in Oakdale. He’s been a very good friend so far. I love Jake, and I hope we can work something out at some point, but I’m wondering if he wants the same thing, since he’s off at St. Croix doing God knows what with Frankie. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GRANT HARRISON Guess it’s my turn huh. Things have been crazy for me, but I’m a politician. I was born to do this, and I will do anything to hold on to my seat. I did it years ago. I had Evan shoot me with blanks so I could win votes. The people would forget all about what I did all those years ago. The custody battles with Vicky; me shooting myself; faking my death. The list goes on and on. Everything went as planned, except for one thing…Paulina. I developed feelings for her along the way. We were involved years ago, but I’ve seen her become a devoted wife and mother, and of course she wanted nothing to do with me after I had her hooked on diet pills. She married Joe Carlino and they raised a wonderful son. Just so you know, I had nothing to do with Carlino’s death, but he was onto my scheme with Evan, and I had to keep an eye on him. Evan took it upon himself to kill him. I can remember that day. It was the Grand Opening of Bay City Center two years ago. I crawled to him, but I was shot with a blank. It was clear that Joe wasn’t. Grant (tending to Joe): What the hell happened? Joe: I knew it was you Harrison. Grant: I had nothing to do with this. I would never do this to Paulina. Joe: You planned this whole thing. I got evidence. Paulina and Dante ran over to Joe along with the paramedics as he started to become unconscious. The look on Paulina’s face was a look I will never forget. I made a vow at that time that I would look out for her and Dante. They took Joe away and someone approached me unexpectedly as I lied on the ground…Sharlene. Sharlene: Grant…oh my God you’ve been shot! I…I… Apparently Sharlene couludn’t remember. I won the Senate seat, and I thought it was all over…until Sharlene started seeking therapy. I helped Dr. Taylor open up his own practice in exchange for keeping Sharlene in the dark about the occurrences of that day. I also had to keep someone else quiet….Evan Frame. He kept calling me asking me for money, and he threatened to blow my scheme out of the water. He’s still got his hand out, and I’m getting tired of it. He really has no idea who he’s messing with. I killed my own brother Ryan, and I will have no problem shutting up Evan…permanently. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AND….RACHEL It’s been five years since my beloved Carl passed away. I’ll never forget that day. We had just gotten the news that his brain tumor was getting larger. They couldn’t operate, and we were going to the hospital. It broke my heart to see Cory and Elizabeth hurting the way they were. It would be the last time they saw their father. Carl: My sweet, darling Elizabeth. You’re looking more and more like your mother every day, and you’re just as spunky as she is. Elizabeth (crying): Daddy, I…I don’t want you to go. Carl: I’ll always be with you my dear…right here in your heart. You, too Cory. The three of you are the best thing that ever happened to me. Cory: I wish I could reach in and take it out. There’s got to be something more that they could’ve done. Carl: It’s a brain tumor. They’re very tricky. Rachel: It’s inoperable. Cory: With the advances in medicine they should be able to do something. Dad this isn’t like you. Carl: Son, there are battles in your life that you’re just not going to win. All you can do, is make sure that your loved ones…are taken care of. He looked at me with the most re-assuring look. He knew that Cory and Elizabeth were in good hands. While we were in the living room, I heard a noise outside, but I thought nothing of it. I had plenty to think of after Carl finally passed away. Elizabeth was getting spunkier. Amanda returned home after she and Cameron split up. Cory Publishing was sinking, and I had to sell it. Turns out Allen Lovett was a mole in my company. All the evidence came in a box with no return address. I wonder who sent it. I sold Cory Publishing to Reginald Love, because I know Iris would want to get her filthy hands on it. That woman has been a thorn in my side even after Mac’s death. I didn’t testify against her so I can keep my eye on her. Did she really think I was not privy to her going after Mac’s company? If I have anything to say about it, she’ll NEVER get her hands on it. She’s trying to poison my children against me. She will stop at nothing to make my life miserable. I will find out what she’s up to, and stop her, and she better not make any more poisonous remarks to my children. I’m glad Matt came for Mitch and Felicia’s wedding. I hate what we had to do, but it had to be done. It was good seeing Lorna again, and I’m very very worried about Amanda. She never returned to the front of the church. Somebody’s got her, and I think was the same person who shot Mitch. Felicia is my best friend, and I had to do this for her. Rachel (leading Felicia into a room): Come here. Felicia: Why are we here Rachel? What’s going on? It was all worth it to see the look on her face….when MITCH walked out of the bedroom. Felicia: This isn’t real! You died in the hospital! Mitch: Is that what you want me to do? You ain’t gettin’ rid of me that easily. We faked Mitch’s death because we have a hunch who the shooter is, and that they would be coming after him, because a couple of days earlier, I was called to the station. POLICE STATION I went down there to speak with Toni Burrell and Jack Snyder. Jack: We have a hunch as to who is behind all of this. Toni: There’s a killer on the loose here. Rachel: Again. Toni: Not like Fax Newman. This one has an agenda. Jack: All the bullets this person used are from one manufacturer…in St. Croix. Rachel: I’ll never forget that place. Toni: Why? Rachel: Janice Frame was trying to kill Mac. We got into a scuffle and she died. Her son came back twenty years ago for revenge on my family. Oh my God. Evan Frame? Could he have been behind all of that?

ANOTHER WORLD EPISODE 61 Iris is stopped from committing murder ROOM Amanda and Cameron are being held prisoner in this room and they hug tightly, then Amanda slaps him. Amanda: Why did you leave? Cameron: Come on Amanda, I’ve been here most of the time. Amanda: Did Evan kidnap you? Cameron: After I was onto him. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE NEXT ROOM Jake is with Sharlene. Jake: Sharlene are you okay? Sharlene: I’m fine. How did you get here? Jake: Frankie came searching for her natural mother. Sharlene: And that lead you here? Jake: Yeah. ANOTHER WORLD EPISODE 60 CLIFFHANGER FRIDAY The mystery patient is revealed! HUDSONS HOUSE Gregory wheels himself to the door and opens it. Gregory: Lindsay? You okay? Lindsay (wiping tears from her eyes): No. Gregory: Come in. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ROOM One of the guards shoves Amanda into a room, and she’s shocked by what she sees. Amanda: Oh my God! Cameron! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ANOTHER ROOM Jake is shoved into a room with Sharlene, who is groggy from the heavy sedation she has received. ANOTHER WORLD EPISODE 59 Frankie’s world is turned upside down ROOM Two men hold guns to Jake and Frankie, and Amanda is brought in by another armed guard, who pushes her toward Jake and Frankie. Evan, walks in behind them, and puts his cell phone in his pocket, as he has just called Grant for another payment. Evan: The gang’s all here. Amanda: He shot Mitch Blake! Frankie: What’s going on here? Jake: It all makes sense now. You’re avenging your mother’s death. You’re trying to get back at everyone who you think caused it. Evan: You sure study your history don’t you McKinnon? You should study about how to fix your crumbling family. Instead you’re here with Frankie. Evan slowly walks toward Frankie, who is distraught. Evan: Getting any of your little premonitions? They must be stronger than ever huh? Frankie: Aunt Sharlene is here isn’t she? Evan (shaking his head): You’re so smart. Take Jake and Amanda away. I want to speak to Frankie. The guards obey Evan’s instruction. One armed guard stays with Evan and Frankie. Frankie: What is this all about? We’re family. Evan: You’re so right. We ARE family.
