  2. Zoe's exit....
  3. In memory of Leah Bracknell (1964-2019)
  4. Oh no. R.I.P sweet Leah. At least her suffering is over. Zoe was a vital part of Emmerdale for a long time, and one of its most iconic characters. Her departure in 2005 was the end of an era. ETA: I wonder if it was a deliberate choice to announce her death on the same date that Emmerdale Farm premiered 47 years ago....
  5. ^^ That was an interesting read. Opinions definitely vary a lot regarding this movie. Whether it will be rewarded by the AMPAS or not is a different matter. The Academy usually tend to go for the "safer" option when it comes to Best picture. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, but off the top of my head I can only think of "The Silence of the Lambs" beating "Bugsy", "JFK", "The Prince of Tides" and "Beauty and the Beast" as an example of when the more controversial choice came out on top.
  6. Former French Open winner (1972), and oldest first-time GS-winner in the open era, Andrés Gimeno, has died aged 82.
  7. RIP He was also the creator behind the cult classic "Prisoner" (or "Prisoner: Cell Block H" as it was also known)
  8. Come On Eileen - Dexys Midnight Runners
  9. Well, it's a start!
