  1. @DeliaIrisFan did you see the short 1988 clip put in the RH thread - there's a pretty good Delia scene in it.
  2. What was Cecilia's exit story? I can't remember. I know they recast her a few times. I wish they'd kept her longer.
  3. Jerry Falwell Jr is throwing a fit and threatening to move Liberty to West Virginia. Apparently Ralph Northam wants to cut the funding for online education, which means trash like Liberty is going to be losing a lot of cash. Good.
  4. Let's hope. Those are buzzwords, but when P&G tried, they did manage to showcase diversity and inclusion in a way that didn't feel heavy-handed. I wish that could happen now, because we really need it. And yes, I wish we could get those episodes.
  5. Wow. This is Steve's death storyline, isn't it? Not sure if @juniorz1 comes here anymore but they may want to see this clip. Nicole Orth-Pallavinci - wasn't she the last Melinda on OLTL? Jacqueline Courtney credited as "announcer." So I guess she must have made some intro for this episode?? Wish we couldn't heard it. This was after her gig as a madam, right?
  6. I hadn't even thought of that. I was worried they were going to bring on Patricia Heaton.
  7. I was just assuming considering the lower ratings compared to the big soaps, but I may be wrong.
  8. The "DNC is rigged against Bernie!11!" propaganda also started up yesterday. It's strange as many would say that Bernie's chances of winning the primary have improved in the last month, but his team are behaving more and more like they don't think he has a shot.
  9. @slick jones there are some names on here you may not have. @NothinButAttitude this is another Rick episode if you wanted to see more of him. It feels like Loving tends to pour rather than rain when it comes to uploads - a few pop up right around the same time, then nothing for ages. I haven't seen much of this time period...sometimes I forget Ann was still around by this time. I wish we'd seen all of her bitchfest with Gwyn. I just love watching Gwyn in these days, as Christine Tudor is such a force of nature. Only GL came close to having this type of vibrant anti-heroine around this period of time. Perry Stephens was such a beautiful man. Always nice to see a little of Colleen Dion, one of my picks for most underrated soap actors. I never cease to be amazed at how good Loving looks, even on a budget - moreso than many other soaps around this time. They must have had a talented design and visual team. So did Loving have a beauty credit around this point? (I wish soaps had never done away with those)
  10. Some of the reactions to it are so crazed, I just hope she'll be alright. I do like her and I think she helps make the show different.
  11. Regis isn't bad in this. I just don't really love this Frank - he's missing the charisma. It does my heart good to see more of Diana van der Vlis. I think this is one of the episodes Freeflyur didn't upload because it aired during the strike.
  12. Yeah - I don't really know what the party is becoming...if not for places like this I'd feel completely adrift. Anyway, Warren got the Des Moines Register endorsement. This is pretty big - or was in the past. We'll see if it affects the results. https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/opinion/editorials/caucus/2020/01/26/elizabeth-warren-president-democrat-iowa-caucuses-des-moines-register-editorial-board-endorsement/4562157002/
  13. Sorry. I was talking about Rogan.
  14. And if it was, with the right tweaks, it would still be relevant.
  15. Classy tribute - couldn't have said it better. I always said GL had my head and ATWT had my heart...I miss them both dearly and this fucked up country needs them more than ever. Irna, wherever you are, thanks for your creations.
  16. Thank you for finding that episode. I think it was @DeeeDee who mentioned that Matt didn't last longer on the show because he didn't really click with anyone. The acting is so wooden here I can see how that may have happened. It's too bad as I like seeing someone unafraid to call Victor out. So was this while Ashley was pregnant? I can never remember the timelines. Great work from Eileen and Meg. I wish they had referenced in later years that Gina was hung up on Jack. Patty and Terry have a nice chemistry here. The scenes with the nude photo scandal are all pure hilarity - especially that woman making the sex eye at Paul (in the words of Dorothy Parker, that extra runs the gamut from A to B), and that horrible church lady berating Mary. I'd love to know how she found that photo...and just how much she enjoyed it. Thank goodness for Amy, who, through Stephanie Williams' sly performance, seems to see the humor in the whole thing. Andy is just so adorable, as always. I loved the bit where Carl was snapping at him over the phone - it was like he saw Andy as an honorary son (considering his two sons had disappeared from existence, maybe he did). I guess Bill Bell was looking for a way to break up Lauren and Paul, but after everything they'd been through together, this seems a little silly.
  17. What a bunch of bullshit. His press secretary is a proud Jill Stein voter and they're talking about compromising values. Bernie's lemmings have also made an endless song and dance out of how much they hate the idea of the big tent. His #1 cult member, AOC, used MLK Day to talk about how much she hates the Democratic Party and is actively working to primary anyone who doesn't fit her very long list of perfection. Does this mean that she has no time for the party but has plenty of time for a man who: - goes on transphobic rants - says that homosexuals were sexually abused and go on to become sexual abusers themselves - calls blacks apes - calls blacks the n word (over and over and over) - gives priceless attention to the likes of Steven Crowder, Ben Shapiro, Gavin McInnes, and Jordan Peterson, among many others I am having a harder and harder time convincing myself that once Bernie gets into power, he will not give the same platform to bigots that Trump has. These are not trustworthy people. They will sell all of us out. They have before and they will again.
  18. Bowen's great. He also gets a lot of unfair hate, which must be a real burden. He's a good writer as well as a good performer - he co-wrote the Sara Lee sketch that was one of my favorites of this season so far. Ru's come a long way. I've never really watched Drag Race, aside from some clips, but I used to love his talk show back on VH1. I hope they give him a good episode. I've already posted these too many times, probably, but if you ever want a look at Ru back in his '80s days, there are a lot of videos of him on his friend Nelson Sullivan's channel. Nelson was a vlogger on the NYC scene, a good friend and roommate of Ru's. He passed away suddenly in 1989 but his work lives on. https://www.youtube.com/user/5ninthavenueproject
  19. Joe Rogan, known for anti-gay, transphobic, and racist comments (including casual use of the n word), and of course for giving an international platform to white supremacists and all-around hatemongers on his podcast, gave a half-hearted endorsement to Bernie recently, in between talking up Tulsi. Bernie, eager as ever to shore up the bros who are fond of Trump or just sit at home (or vote Green), retweeted this. Needless to say, any criticism - including from Bernie supporters - was immediately shut down in a wave of sneering and jeering about how you can't expect purity and you need to bring in more types of voters. How hilarious, considering his cultists regularly berate Democrats for trying to find a middle ground. Of course, it's bad if you have broad viewpoints and aren't them, because only they have opinions worth valuing. I can't tell myself anymore that St. Bernie and his Kool Aid drinkers are any different than Trump and his supporters. I just can't even make the effort. Even the pathetic pie in the sky lies, like "you'd better do this and shut up so you could get free health care!" are the same. The only difference is at least some Trump sycophants are getting what they want, on social issues and immigration. Bernie's followers will get nothing, other than to feel morally superior, which is meaningless, because they feel morally superior every time they wipe their asses. This man and his flunkies make me sick and they are in no way capable of running this country. No wonder so many don't want to vote. I will feel sickened at ever casting a ballot that supports such a con artist and such reprehensible people who use him to push their hate and bigotry.
  20. They dropped a lot with Philip's return. I'd say it was down to cancellation but realistically they still would have dropped a lot. There's something very unique about Roxy that draws me to her. The acting isn't the best, but I like that the show sort of went against type.
  21. I don't believe it.
  22. This is a week or two old now but it's a look at one of AOC's fellow alleged cultists/grifters who is trying to primary Emanuel Cleaver.
  23. I thought they were decent together (although I thought she felt too young for him), but their relationship was rushed for that heart transplant story which just felt so manipulative I couldn't really invest. I saw some clips of a very fiery set of scenes with Mel finding out about his sleeping with Beth. I guess at least she got that material, if not much else... The pairing with Cyrus always seemed random as hell. I did like Cyrus, but that was mostly down to Murray Bartlett. The Boudreauxes were introduced with real fanfare yet the show gave up pretty much immediately. I still remember poor Shari Headley having to play a slave...
  24. Well well well. And what a surprise after all the Fox News appearances and carrying water for dictators, he is now depending on the American media for help. http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2020/01/brazil-charges-journalist-glenn-greenwald-with-cyber-crimes.html
