I don't think they'd let Trump pick Ivanka. Nikki would have a good chance though. I agree that Pence could easily beat Bernie - he has fervent support from the evangelical voters who show up in droves, and he's a blank enough slate for many on the right and in the middle to support. The media also likes him, because of their daddy issues, and they hate Bernie. That tweet disgusted me. It was so Trump-ish. He hates the Democratic Party and hates America. He's just an old washed up con artist who has never accomplished a thing in his life. He clearly wants to lose and lose big because he still has his donor base to cling to. If he doesn't want my vote, he doesn't have to worry - he won't be getting it.

It felt like a last gasp for Warren, and a way to shore up support with Bernie for when she drops out ; he may forgive, but his cultists won't. It's obvious that everyone on the stage sees Buttigieg as an upstart, but Klobuchar seems to have the least ability to hide it. He pushed all her buttons and she responded in the most defensive manner. None of these people are ready for primetime. If only the Warren of this debate was the Warren of this campaign, but sadly that hasn't been the case. Trump will be very happy tonight - or if he would be if he wasn't likely doped up and zonked out.

I think Klobuchar's recent rise has made people see them as more valid, but I think they mostly provide short-term boosts. All I know is I'm sick of them and I think they're a big reason why turnout is down and why so many people can't stand any of the candidates.
