  1. I thought you weren't posting here anymore, but thank you for answering my questions. I didn't expect Eileen to participate, to be honest, and I just hope she is living comfortably and at peace. Anne Sayre is a fine actress. As for Tom, I'm sure Trent was fine. It's not as if he had anything to do at the end anyway.
  2. In Bannon's ideal world, this would have been people like Boris Johnson, who is an oaf, but still knows enough to steer well clear. Boris isn't much better than Farage, but if the UK had our system of government, Farage would likely be PM. He is their Trump. That he keeps being asked here is laughably pathetic - if only Piers Morgan (who is back on the ass-kissing Trump train) had stuck it out in the US longer he'd probably be on the stage instead. August Pollak makes some sound points, but I think they overestimate just how many people are going to react if the courts give Trump a win. There will be protestors, but many will ignore them, and the military will be sent out against them. Many assume Trump will win anyway, based on some of the "who do you think will win?" polls. There's been years spent with the media telling us that the majority prefer Trump and the many reasons why Democrats will lose. The media will be in full court press to get people to accept these results, and those who don't will have few options. The decision to accept the 2000 election being stolen from Al Gore, alongside the decision by the GOP to put three people who helped make that happen onto the SCOTUS, have led us to where we are now. They will do anything they want, because they know they can. I am just hoping against hope for a big enough win to where this can't happen, but right now it's hard.
  3. That seems to be one of the exceptions.
  4. If you slog through the 1980 episodes Blaine is already well into anti-heroine mode and not too far off being an outright heroine, forced into being a mafioso's mistress in order to keep her husband Jerry safe. I think Laura does a great job with this stuff, but maybe the later material I haven't seen is more of a struggle for her. There's a lot of 80-82 AW material I just don't really have any rush to sit through.
  5. @Huntress we'll all be thinking of you...I know these lockdowns must be very difficult psychologically. I doubt we'll ever be having any in the US, as our country's leaders do not care if we all die.
  6. Maybe I'm wrong. I thought it turned out he wasn't.
  7. Ann was Jack's adoptive mother, and Jack was Heather's father. Steffi was heavily pregnant by the time The City began, with Cooper's child.
  8. Pennsylvania seems so unreliable (especially since, similar to Wisconsin, the GOP there have made it clear they are going full-throttle into voter suppression and declaring victory). I guess that's one of the reasons Biden's campaign is trying to find other places, like a late play for Texas. The options seem much narrower in state polling than they do in national coverage. (it doesn't help that there's also a lot of uncertainty about Nevada this year)
  9. I don't think at this point there is any big incident that will bring a new surge of support, unless they care a lot more about this Hunter story or Amy Covid Barrett than they seem to. I do think there is a huge amount of support for Trump that doesn't show up properly in national polling - the swing state polls are tight enough that it could be an extremely close race. And if it is, that's all Trump, SCOTUS, and the media need. I did read that some of the big Republican counties in Florida have had their early voting hours cut because of a hurricane, so that might make a difference. Anyway, in less depressing moments, here's a great commentary from Amber Ruffin.
  10. Yeah I deleted it soon after, so if you need to delete this too feel free. Sorry about that.
  11. nm, already posted
  12. I think Adelson is still cutting checks. Looks like the Florida story is head games.
  13. A variation of this ad campaign is on one of the main Santa Barbara channels, but this one I hadn't seen. Both with Marcy Walker. @amybrickwallace
  14. I was never that fond of KMH's Emily but she had some awful, awful writing. I'm so glad Melanie never had to play any of that stuff.
  15. They know they can cheat their way to winning Florida.
  16. I was going to watch but nothing is showing up. I never do know how Instagram Live works...
  17. There was some talk about Bloomberg not agreeing to the requests of Democrats to help with the Senate. I guess that is due to 'bipartisan' reasons, but it does make sense to throw some money at Texas and Ohio, as those are bonus states and they could also catch Trump's people off guard in Ohio (they just moved their director there to PA). Disgusting. (his opponent's campaign is linked in the replies - no idea if she has any shot)
  18. So they didn't air the animated special then? I think I set up the two last night on my DVR...I will have to see if the animated episode is around anywhere. That they got a 4th season was a wonderful gift, but I really hope they will at least get to say goodbye.
  19. Pretty much, yes. The best to hope for is that people can keep a close eye on Republican officials and dirty tricksters who will on top of voter suppression, make Democratic ballots disappear and hope against hope that it will not be tight on the day. As it is now, we are in a position where there's a huge chance Trump will be ahead in a number of key states at midnight on Election Day, and he simply has to say he's won, then wait for the SCOTUS to agree. The media needs him in power for their revenue, so they will go along.
  20. Not sure how reliable they are but: https://polls.pizza/
