  1. I looked several pages back and didn't see this episode - sorry if I missed it. You can also see Jonelle Allen very briefly at this start of this very late '00s pilot.
  2. A few. I keep meaning to watch more. Any favorites of yours on there?
  3. A few more are on the Youtube channel I posted a few hours ago, but you're right - they are hard to find, especially in good quality. Too bad Amazon didn't put more up.
  4. This Archive channel has a number of Neighbours episodes, along with parts of Home & Away, Flying Doctors, Young Doctors, E Street, and A County Practice. https://archive.org/details/@flemishdog2
  5. Deleting my previous sarcasm to wish them well for a good cause.
  6. I do think that season 12 is something of a return to form, although I hate the finale - truly the beginning of the end (along with a certain incident in early season 13). 9-11 are up and down for me - some good moments but a lot of dregs. And I really do not like most of Noises Everywhere.
  7. Bits and pieces of this have been around (some of the pilot this is from was made into two shorts by Moe Howard's son in law and put into theaters in the early '60s), but this is the first time seeing it in color, apparently, and the first showing of the full version of the cartoon.
  8. The current vocal is just angsty emo woe and feels very out of date unless you spend your time trawling depressing tiktok/Youtube cover channels. I skip it every time. We shouldn't live in a world where some band using the theme to plug their shows finds a much better singer:
  9. I keep meaning to read more. I've read this one a few times. Thanks for the recommendations. EPISODE ONE | townandcountrysoap (breauntaedrew.wixsite.com) Back in the late '90s I used to read a few like SF Blend, The Spot, and East Village. I especially liked that one as it had some audio and video clips (which it took forever to load but I did try). I think The Spot might have too. The Spot also had a parody with people living in a trailer park. I think there was also one called Gays of Our Lives which got very juicy. This era even had an article in SOD. I don't think any of these were archived - if they were it was just bits and pieces.
  10. What about Blaze? On another topic, seeing the fans who are just now learning that Gregory Harrison has been on TV for such a long time and marveling at various photos of him in those prime years makes me feel very old.
  11. They should do their own version of that Paul Anka Kodak song ("the time of your life" or something like that). Maybe have Violet sing it.
  12. It's a shame Nolan North is never going to be back as I would have enjoyed seeing Chris again.
  13. I do wonder what might have been if he'd produced GL a few years earlier. When he first started he did turn things around somewhat but the show spun out of control by spring '96. IIRC he had to deny to a soap magazine that he was casting his mother as Meta Bauer. I always thought that was a real howler which also shows you how angry fans were by that point.
  14. Susan Lucci claims she turned down The Golden Bachelorette. https://people.com/susan-lucci-was-called-about-leading-the-golden-bachelorette-exclusive-8653911
  15. Fascinating. She seemed to do little TV work, and a brief part on The Doctors was her only other TV soap work. Given her radio soap run I wonder if she was asked to play a bigger part in daytime TV and declined.
  16. Serena and Christina seem like no-brainers yet they never did come back, Serena cameo aside (I know they almost brought Serena back regularly). So much wasted time.
  17. There was a clip going around GH Twitter of Lulu verbally abusing Liz after the Nik affair reveal, calling her a slut, a bitch, a whore, and so on, with everyone standing around. People were talking about how much they miss this and why can't you have women throw down like that anymore, and so on. It just reminded me of how much I despised JMB's Lulu - I was never a big Liz fan, but I would always be on her side against that hellbeast. I thought Claudia's family (and Bryan's - I wouldn't recast out of respect to the late actor, but who knows) would be a good way to bring in a new black family to the show, but guests makes sense too. I liked Senait but I know she has had some issues in recent years. I might still bring her back, but the role could be recast. Keesha returning could also be a way to bring AJ back from the dead (again).
  18. I think JJ's last return showed the severe limits of how he would play the part as an adult. I'd find a strong new actor for Lucky, and for Lulu. And yes, bring on Keesha, recast or Senait, and some other Wards. Or bring on some family for Brian and Claudia - obviously you can't bring Brian back, but while Laura and Scotty are still on the show there are characters their kids or grandkids and Claudia can be introduced through. I'd also like to see Julia again if Brenda returns, unlikely as that may be.
  19. The quad mostly just feels like plot points because there's no real reason why Terese and Paul aren't back together. I don't even care about them as a couple but there isn't. It's just Terese worrying about Paul being a schemer for the 40349th time. I've heard people say the poop story is classic Neighbours. That may be the case, I don't know, but it just felt endless and unpleasant to me - I know Karl is meant to be seen as an idiot, but I don't enjoy seeing people, including his supposed friends, humiliating him over and over.
  20. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/darryl-hickman-dead-grapes-of-wrath-leave-her-to-heaven-1235908481/ I remember being surprised to learn Darryl was an LOL producer via looking through old soap magazines and seeing him sporting a beard. And of course married to Pamela Lincoln at the time (she is briefly mentioned in his obit).
  21. That's probably why there were claims for years of writers getting money for every new character they create. It was probably just more about laziness - it's easier to write your own characters and not have to deal with what fans might say or the actors might say.
