I think, when they tried to whitewash Rachel a little later on, they had Kevin look and it turned out Ellen actually had simply left town. I liked Marie Alice Recasner. She was no Debbi Morgan but I thought she had her own charm. The writing sucked.

The situation was very complicated. Holly and Ross had technically been dating, although Ross was mostly doing this because Holly was a respected citizen, someone that could help his image while he was running for the Senate. Holly and Blake had had a bad relationship, as Blake had felt like Holly had never been enough of a mother to her, while Holly felt like Blake had never been satisfied, and that Blake had made many self-destructive mistakes in her attempts at money and power and love. The last straw had been when Holly had accidentally let it be known that Blake had called immigration on her. Alan-Michael, Blake's ex-husband, whom she carried a torch for, was in love with Eleni. This had backfired on Blake, as Alan-Michael had convinced Eleni to marry him. Blake seduced Ross out of revenge, although she soon fell for Ross. At the time, I felt sorry for all of them.

At the time I felt like it wasn't so much of an ensemble as a lot of Buzz, Nick, Lucy, and a lot of people running around in bizarre stories about criminals and conspiracies. If I look back now I might feel differently but I just couldn't get into any of this back then, aside from a few isolated stories. I think what annoyed me most was dragging stories out - Alan-Michael/Eleni, for instance. That went on for so long and by the time it ended the only thing left for him was that wan triangle with Tangie and his father.

There were cancellation rumors at the end of 1994/early 1995. Michael Logan wrote about it, I think. This was around the time JFP was publicizing the Fifth Street Fire (Buzz yelling for a week).

I think they mostly just brought her back to make her a suspect. There were rumors that they wanted to try to get her for The City, I think, but that didn't happen.

I think the story was that Trisha had left a few years earlier, with her ex, while she had amnesia. After the murders began, Trisha for some reason returned to Corinth, although she still couldn't remember who she was. She was a suspect in the murders. Soon after, I think she ran off again.

What a horribly written character she was, and what a pointless character. Other than Russ Mayer fans I have no idea who her support system was in the audience.

Yes. The hate or love some fans feel for characters seems to be very...unfiltered. I'm with Vee on wanting to know if the first half of season 3 will be repeated. I didn't see all of those.

Bones is still on and does well, especially with The Following (it's lead-in) a big hit. I think Glee will probably get two more seasons, unless the bottom drops out.

Some Emmerdale actors have apparently had enough of Digital Spy. http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1793040 Aside from the time that some of the fans there fawned over Gavin Blythe's tenure, they've pretty much hated the show since about 2007, so I can see why some actors are upset. But Emmerdale has sucked for a long time now, and the actors are lucky they aren't dealing with some of the hardcore hate you see at other soap boards. My favorite Emmerdale poster there was someone named Aida. She was very disturbed by Blackburn/Blythe's hideously offensive stories like Jackson's suicide, and she left the board. I haven't really read that much of the Emmerdale threads since.

So there was another, presumably unintentional (? I have no idea) implication of Dean being bisexual in last night's episode. The sad thing is, I assume this stuff is unintentional, and I assume it will never be addressed onscreen, and yet...it's still better and more affirming than most stories I've seen for bisexual men on TV. I don't know what that says.
