  1. July 1989 Digest (that 1972 must be a typo)
  2. I read an article that said Obama is unpopular in Israel. So pushing hard on that element, along with the clear scaremongering about Arabs in Israel, seems to have done the trick. It sets a frightening precedent.
  3. I didn't know that about Agnes. Where did you hear the Rosemary episodes? I'm glad someone read the articles. If you have any thoughts on these soaps they'd be great to read.
  4. Given that ratings still weren't very good even with two somewhat popular new housewives (compared to last season's newcomers), I'd think the show still wouldn't be pushing Brandi as their big star. I guess Andy just likes her that much. I'd think the conflict between Kim and Kyle was more memorable to viewers than the Kyle/Brandi stuff, which often seemed like Brandi wanting attention, but then ratings would suggest people weren't that into any of the Kim or Kyle or Brandi drama.
  5. Lachlan. I like Chas, but I can't take any more squawking about Andy. YA KNOW WHAT, I'M GLAD I DON'T CARE ANYMORE! YOUS TWO DESERVE EACH OTHER!!! None of that helps Andy. Chas never gave a crap about Andy, and Andy never gave a crap about Chas; he never will unless he sticks it in her at some point. She's just upset about Katie and using him for her own guilt. It's tedious.
  6. Lisa and Cain. I actually think this is the strongest story Andy's had in years. I'll be sorry to see it wrapped up. The only part that bothers me is that so many in the village care more about hurling abuse at Tracy and making sure Andy "sees" that he's grieving in the "wrong" way, rather than actually supporting and caring. I wouldn't mind seeing Tracy knock Chas the !@#$%^&*] out.
  7. Russell Tovey says he was nearly cast as Jamie Mitchell. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2/eastenders/news/a635966/russell-tovey-missed-out-on-eastenders-role-i-was-gutted-at-the-time.html Some take his "limiting" comment as a jab at soaps. I can sort of see what he means, although it's not entirely fair to soap actors.
  8. Somebody made this on tumblr and it cracked me up. Bad bad Photoshop. And they didn't bother pasting Suzanne Shaw's head on.
  9. What will we do without that putty face mugging around the world? Moral of the story - don't go around using your position to design an ugly-looking office and then let the people involved flap their gums to the press. No worries - there are still plenty of Ken dolls who vote for hate even as they live like an extended episode of Looking rolling around those halls.
  10. Someone said it was a parody of the show's '80s credits. I don't know.
  11. I wonder if he wanted out? You'd think they'd be dumping the entire family, as none of them seem popular, except maybe Gary's girlfriend.
  12. I assume "Bibi" will still be able to get together a coalition to stay PM, but he seems to be panicking. http://www.politico.com/story/2015/03/benjamin-netanyahu-arab-voter-turnout-116142.html?hp=r2_4
  13. There's a Jefferson Brown clipset, if that helps.
  14. Media darling Tom Cotton apparently doesn't even know Tehran is the capital of Iran. http://thinkprogress.org/world/2015/03/15/3633912/tom-cotton-alarmed-capital-iran-controlled-iran/ If only we had a media that knew how to critique. I don't have all that much use for Rachel Maddow smirking every word, and if I don't, I don't know how many other people do either.
  15. Eastenders has a little anniversary nod to Neighbours.
  16. Eastenders has a little anniversary nod to Neighbours. It's not bad, although the Babe stuff is as unwatchable as she always is.
  17. This is that song that played on the Van Ride of Foreboding. It's hard to get out of your head...
  18. This really has hit the media quickly. I wonder how Showtime feels about this type of ploy.
  19. It was the last 20 seconds of a 2003 episode, and a preview for the next one. Diane loaning Jabot money and then a preview of Diane gloating to Phyllis and Phyllis blowing up at Jack. Has their account been terminated yet again This sucks - they posted some great CBS soap stuff. I think I saved most of it, but it still sucks.
  20. It matters to me, because the character seemed to realize some things, then mostly stopped appearing, and now pops back up to squawk about the group's wicked ways. To me it's shoddy writing. I think Seth Gilliam is a good actor and the character could be more than this. I don't really care if he's popular, I just think he can be consistently written and, like Rick, that isn't happening.
  21. The Governor is the one who destroyed Woodbury and the prison. They'd both be around if not for him. I agree with some of the others, but it's the self-serving nature of the speech that bothers me. Oh I did nothing wrong...I'm good just like you! This is where the writing falls down, because I have no idea if he actually believes that and he is lashing out at them to deny his own guilt and regret, or if he is just running some sort of con. We haven't been able to get in his head enough to know why he's saying what he is saying.
  22. I didn't intend to suggest he was killed off because of fans. They filmed all this before any fan reaction. And some fans did like him. I just meant their reactions annoy me. I just hope Tara makes it... What do you think of the new Alexandria characters?
