  1. I can't see them coming close to getting that money.
  2. More random videos. Perfect if you know any fans named Lily who watch the show (bonus points if they're 80). Behind the scenes thing. Must have been 2007 or 2008, maybe 2009?
  3. Whitney hadn't appeared much until recently. They found some money in Stan's chair and I think Mick tried to use it to buy Shirley out of the Vic. There's never any real story for them and I could swear Lee was going back into the army soon, but who knows. It seems like he and Whitney are always rumored to be going. They'll probably be there in 2035.
  4. Julia died in 1984, but yeah, the clan was down to nothing. I think their holiday celebration that year was Liz and Julia and maybe Sally? Sad.
  5. Have you checked munecojim's channel? They have a lot of 1987 episodes.
  6. Ted Shackelford segment at about 30 minutes. He and his wife in Copenhagen.
  7. I imagine it not leading to anything (just a slap in the face to one or both of Kush and Stacey), but I agree. I actually wonder if Lee/Stacey would have been more interesting, seeing him slowly corrupted by the bag of rotting flesh that is Mo Harris, seeing Stacey and Linda clash after becoming friendly, seeing Lee cope with a small child when he's still young and immature himself. I'm so desperate to avoid Stacey/Martin I'm sitting here writing [!@#$%^&*] fanfic in my head for two people who barely speak to each other.
  8. Charlie Clements interview. He is now apparently working in Canada. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/interviews/a643983/charlie-clements-im-trying-to-change-peoples-perceptions.html I always thought he was underrated as Bradley, stuck with years on end of terrible writing. Oh well.
  9. With demos like Battle Creek it likely wouldn't last on some of those networks either.
  10. Here's Perry Fenwick circa 1986 (mildly NSFW). I miss that shot-on-tape cheap 80's look. I think it made shows look more real. This is dated in quite a few ways (more than anything the quasi-homophobic joke from the lady doctor). I've always kind of wanted to see Perry's ass but not like that...
  11. I wonder if she'll have a go at Lee so they can trash her friendship with Whitney too. It's so trite, and yet even that is preferable to Stacey/Martin the man-child. I'm so wary of how this Shabnam story will go. I have a feeling it will be written as a heinous bitch trying to keep Shirley from her precious grandbaby.
  12. Tracy's ex cast. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s3/coronation-street/news/a646514/coronation-street-tristan-gemmill-cast-as-tracys-ex-robert-preston.html
  13. Kaye Stevens always looks different from photo to photo. I wish I could see that storyline.
  14. I know the story is going to get much more ridiculous, from what people have been saying, but I actually really liked the episodes where Liz realized she'd been followed home and was terrified every phone rang. I thought Pamela Toll did a good job. I know some said this story was a Dark Shadows ripoff, and those scenes did remind me of Dark Shadows, but it was one of the more effective parts of the Maggie story so I don't mind seeing it again. And I still enjoy the friendship group of Carolee/Mike/Jody/Liz. It's a little contrived, but it works (although it makes me miss John Rice...). I laughed when Jody wanted to play some Creem or Beatles and Carolee said, "Doesn't anyone like Lawrence Welk anymore?" and Jody said, "Lawrence Welk? Ugh!" As cheesy as a soap trying to hint at changing tastes or counterculture can be, he's not really that much of a caricature, certainly far less than most of what they had in primetime in this era. I keep wondering how much longer we'll get the Carolee-and-mom sequences. I'll miss them when they go. It's interesting to see Carolee gradually become a more important character, although she already had more airtime than I'd expected in the December 1967 episodes. I wonder if her period of barely having anything to was earlier in 1967 (did she start in 1967?).
  15. I remember you posting that one. Thanks again. I think I may have another but I'll have to find it. I didn't think she was old enough to play grown women in silent movies either, even if at that time teenage girls played older. IMDB is always a mess. Are there any other Florence Williams in IMDB?
  16. Thanks. So are those photos already out then? If not I won't duplicate. I wasn't sure. Do you know if her IMDB credits are right and she was really in those 1916 silent films? I wasn't sure if she was that old.
  17. Can you tell me what the name of Althea's mother on The Doctors was (the actress)? I think I have a photo of her from her radio soap days.
  18. March 1969 TV Radio Talk
  19. Thanks for all the details. I think I may have seen a bit of Phoebe in your uploads...I can't remember. Sounds like some great stuff. How was it at the time? Did it pale compared to the previous big stories like the Jonah Lockwood tale? Which Kevin did you prefer? Shoberg or Driver? It sounds like even if Slesar did not get as much of a heavy "youth" mandate until the late 70's or early 80's, he still tried to put young characters in central roles.
  20. Thanks for all the details. Did Leister want to leave or did they write her out? Phoebe seems like an interesting character. I wish I could see some of Mimi Kennedy's work in the role. Is her death why Kevin fell for Raven?
  21. Watching the Nick/Althea beach scenes (which were a lot of fun) and I was absolutely shocked that they showed Althea's bare back. They went to great pains to make sure we didn't see more, but still, for 1968, that really surprised me. You usually hear that soaps didn't hint at any of that type of intimacy or casual nudity until HTSAM/Y&R/LIAMST.
  22. This is cute. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2/eastenders/news/a646245/national-lottery-congratulates-eastenders-kat-and-alfie-with-a-fun-barry-evans-video.html
