Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
I'm very happy to have read yesterday that Barry Sloane (Niall Rafferty) will have a recurring role on season two of REVENGE! It makes my anticipation for the next season all the greater.

S01 - Episode Thirteen: "Rock Bottom? Try Again"
These newbies sure do hate people from Pine Valley. The Lucas / Jaquie scene was hilarious and I could just imagine Lindsay being so proud being able to show up Viki. Lindsay really has been your MVP of the show so far. The Hayley was very dark and very, very sad. Especially the end, where she takes to the alcohol, AGAIN! Damn good soap there. It'll add such a wonderful layer once Erica becomes more involved.

S01 - Episode Twelve: "We Aren't So Different, You and I"
Best episode yet. It was refreshing to see Viki in business mode. She was Victor Lord's progeny after all and we haven't seen her act like it in years. Finally Skye truly is a Chandler again. The explanation was certainly reasonable, but I do hope Skye and Adam do undergo one last DNA test to be absolutely sure! Maybe they could frame it! LoL You're writing for Lindsay is on par. I can easily picture her saying it all, especially that out of prison line. Girl is not ashamed of nuthin'. On the other hand, I am finding Skye to be a little too schmaltsy for my tastes.

S01 - Episode Eleven: "Daddy's Little Girl"
Is this mystery woman going to be ONYX Kane? LoL I wonder if Lucas will turn into Hayley's Jonathan Kinder? But when exactly did Skye have time to marry Lucas? The backstory there should be interesting. I loved the Skye / Adam scenes, but I thought it odd that JR's recent rehabiliation wouldn't also be a reason for Adam to seek out Skye. I know Skye and JR were never close, but did JR and Hayley ever have some semblance of a relationship?

Guiding Light Discussion Thread
Who was the woman with Alan who was said to be married to Justin? Why did Lucille want Ben dead? What was the point of Roger and the foreign woman? That episode left me wanting so much more. When Roger threatened the man following him and Alan, I felt that. There's not really anyone on soaps today who can do that anymore.

One Man's Family
The twins' relationship kind of irked me as until the first swimming scene I thought they were a couple. But both were very attractive and likable. I love that Hilda had to hop the fence with Bill turned away. However, the beginning narration was an odd choice. I guess they were still in the radio mindset.

Search For Tomorrow Discussion Thread
I just watched it. Because I am too young to have had a real soap patriarch to look up to like Alice Horton was my matriarch, Larry Haines is just so easy to adopt as a grandfather figure. Hands down my favourite soap actor of all time. Does anyone know what the Bergman family tree would look like? Suzy was related or close to Jo, right?

Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
That was her last scene? She was an original character, right?

S01 - Episode Ten: "Revenge is a Girl's Best Friend"
The plot thickens. So many treacherous snakes on this show, anything can happen. I just hope the newbies know who their dealing with. It'll be interesting if they be able to play with the heavy hitters. Next episode should be great to have the much anticipated Adam / Skye scene. I do hope in the future, Rae Cummings could be a full time character on the show.

S01 - Episode Nine: "Love is a Many Splendored Thing"
Didn't see that cliffhanger coming. Can't wait to see how Lindsey knows Dixie. This episode just brought home to me that Skye is kind of the focal point that brings everyone together. However, Tad definately needs to be spread around more as his presence comes off superfluous to me. Brandon and Brianna. You can never trust siblings that share the same first initial!

Damn, now I'm going to have to watch that trainwreck. LOVE Tanya Franks, or at least her portrayal of Rainie.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
I can't watch Emmerdale anymore. Every single story is either an affair story, is derived from an affair story or is turned into an affair story. Plus, they refuse to give Victoria a story at all, which is just retarded on every level. Not to mention the cast is full of useless dead weight and/or tired characters. Zak/Marlon/Ashley/Paddy/Cain/Edna/Bob/Rodney/Nicola/Katie/Rhona/Laurel/Chas/Debbie/Pearl/Carl/Jimmy/Sandy/Brenda/Lizzie/Moira/Adam/Jai/Priya/Declan/Alicia/Amy/Cameron/Alex/Rachel/Sean/Abby/Ruby/Rishi/Dan/Megan/Robbie and anyone else that isn't Alan/Betty/Andy/Victoria/Eric/David/Val/Diane/Gennie/Nikhil/Charity should be given the heave ho. I know that list is extremely unlikable to see cut, but damn, Emmerdale sucks that bad.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
One which they gladly do. They should have said the child Lou gave up was instead Albert's and the woman he had an affair with that Lou never knew about. It's this and the endless amounts of Lou's children that I just don't like.

S01 - Episode Five: "Are You There, Hayley? It's me, Skye"
You're bringing in these newbies correctly so far. Half the fun of the show is all these different interactions. Personally, I would have liked to see a little more hesitation and reservation between Hayley and Skye, but there's no way their relationship will be all roses so I'll just wait. Linking Anjelica to Lindsay was a very nice touch. I wonder what she did that put her in the clink. LoL

Love of Life Discussion Thread
Mac saying Beanie had written an original spelling of traitor was a pretty polite way of saying he spelled it wrong. LoL Meg has to be one of the most fascinating characters in soap opera history. And Beanie looked like such a playboy in that robe. I hat usually hate children, but I thought the actor playing him was great. Carl, do you have the link to the episode where Beanie's friend is run over?

S01 - Episode Four: "Baby, You Don't Know a Thing About Me"
I also can't wait for Skye / Haylet. Their relationship (or lack thereof) will be one of the most interesting things of the series, for sure. Hayley / Clint was an interesting interaction. I wonder if he and Erica will clash. Peter's a very naughty boy it seems. I imagine Peter isn't his real name either?
-
S01 - Episode Three: "Skye's the Limit"
Are these people from New Hampshire, especially Brianna, aware of Hayley's alcoholism? I guess this will be a huge point in the Hayley/Erica relationship. GH history question: Did Skye and Ric ever hook up? It seems like they would, but I wouldn't want to assume. Interesting to see Skye knows Lucas by a different name. Which brings me to a random thought, don't you think it's time a soap had a male prostitute. So many females have been on the game and never a guy. It'd make a nice change. And now this Jacqueline person ... is there a reason her last name hasn't been revealed? Considering all the other new characters have them, me thinks she's related/connected to someone we all know. Oh, and cute title!

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Finished 1986 this afternoon and what a stupendous year it was. Probably the best year the show ever had. And the end of year cliffhanger was the PERFECT way to cap it all off. I'm going to take a bit of break from Walford before I get to downloading 1987, but the memories of the past year will keep me in soap opera heaven until I do.

S01 - Episode Two: "Blasts from the Past & Looks Into the Future"
Ah, my Skye is back in my life and though I love her facing off against Skye her remark about Blair having children with many men was odd. And I know Mateo has disappeared, but why does Hayley go by her maiden name? Is this a CELEB thing or are they divorced? And with Rick Her(b)st on the cast, I just have a feeling he'll be getting between Blair and Skye. The chemistry sure as hell would be on fire.

S01 - Episode One: "Welcome to Hell"
Yay Kendall's dead! JR is a hero! I'm guessing (and hoping) that Blair's competition is SKYE! And if it is we can finally see more of the Skye/Hayley relationship. And as a plus, I love that Blair is away from all her unwatchable baggage. Let's keep it that way for a nice long time. "Erika Kane is going to New Hampshire." The line of the episode. Absolutely hilarious. All in all good first episode with intriguing bits like Mateo's disappearance to make us want more. However, this part confused me ... "(Outside of the empty restaurant, Victoria answers her cell phone) Jacqueline: Well hello, Ms. Rappaport. I didn't think I'd be hearing from you again." Whose Victoria? Whose Ms. Rappaport? This scene made no sense to me.
