This looks interested! Bravo is hit or miss airing international wives(im surprised we’re still waiting on the latest Melbourne season), but I could see them airing this and potentially in a decent time slot due to the black cast and seemingly easy accents. I’d put it on Friday with Married to Medicine.

Now TMZ is reporting Bethenny has a part in Carole leaving. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised. I remember she made it clear she didn’t wanna film with Kristen, she didn’t like Jules and you can’t convince me Heather just decided to leave. Even if Bethenny didn’t outright push each out, I do think her pull with production might scare others off. The only people safe from her wrath seem to be the vets. Still I do think this gives them an opening to do a light reboot next season. Let Tinsley leave as well and bring on Jill and a new housewife and they wouldn’t miss a beat. Kenya would be epic but also unlikely.

I’m going to try and unpack all this incoming Housewives news! RHOBH - I’m happy they’re delaying the start of the season. Shows they’re serious about retooling the cast and also starting later gives them a chance to show us different parts of their lives. Switching the filming schedule worked wonders at New York. I’m hoping Denise Richards does get the gig and I’d love Eileen back. RHOA - This show is like popcorn tv. It’s interesting in the moment but drags. I’ll miss Kenya and do think they’re doing her wrong, but it isn’t the end of the world. Hopefully the new housewives are good so we can move the story forward. I’m not excited by this show at all anymore. I need a good trailer to care. RHONY - I’m heartbroken about Carole’s exit, but she had a nice, long run and this opens some space for Jill next season and maybe Kenya? Never would happen but I’ve been saying since last year they needed to move Kenya since her life is clearly in New York now. I hope that Carole lands back in news. She can write but I’d love to see her hosting a news program. RHOC - I know y’all gonna say I’m crazy, but this season is just okay. I found last season more interesting. This is not bad but they aren’t blowing my mind. I wish Lydia had remained. The show is now lacking glamour now that Shannon and Kelly have downsized. The new wives don’t bring that element either and seem very old school RHOC. Tamra is always broke so literally the show is depending on Vicki as the only one giving us full on real housewife with money.

It’s taken years for me to take them seriously but with the current soaps being so bad I’ve finally started some of the web soaps. Ladies of the Lake was patchy but enjoyable over both seasons. The biggest problem is it’s too short. 3 half hour episodes is not a season. With The Bay I just finished the first two seasons on Amazon which were just recut collections of the web show and it was pretty bad. The production value is good but the stories made no sense since they started so late in the series run and didn’t use flashbacks of previous seasons to explain relationships or what was happening. I also feel like The Bay is too dark. Every storyline is a murder or a rape. I need brightness on a soap. Now I will say season 3 (the first Amazon produced season) is a million times better. The story is more focused and it’s not as dark. In general I’d love to be hooked on the original web soaps but the production isn’t quite at the level I’d want just yet.

The problem with soaps always seems to be timing. NBC tried a website before it’s time and so did CBS with the ATWT/Y&R spin off. Then you had Proctor and Gamble streaming their shows, the great Prospect Park reboots and you could even include Passions on DirecTV. All of those were done before streaming was popular and more people had accept to internet speeds to make it viable. Just look at Prospect Park, those soaps always ranked among the top rated shows in Hulu and the show also did well on OWN. Had they had the funding to continue I think they’d be big hits in the streaming age today. Also I do think fans would watch classic soaps streaming if they had accept to them. It amazes me Proctor and Gamble won’t just take what they put on AOL and release it to Amazon. Throw in ATWT and GL and you can’t convince me people wouldn’t watch it. SOAPnet as a network was very successful and found great success with Ryan’s Hope and Another World. There’s no reason to believe the same can’t happen for other soaps in the streaming age.

I feel your pain! I was almost finished with season five and literally it got pulled as I finished an episode! I’m hopeful it returns soon.

I think the complaints about Bethenny since her return are why this season is so good. Nobody seems afraid to go toe to toe with her. Carole and Ramona would’ve been eviserated in previous seasons had they done this but for whatever reason it’s working this year. She definitely steamrolled Heather and Jules and if she had her choice I feel like Ramona and Sonja would’ve been fired too.

From what Tamara Tattles is hearing, it sounds like they’re making Kenya an offer, but due to her pregnancy and reduced filming schedule it sounds like they’re trying to offer her a Friend position. She’ll only accept a guaranteed peach. Tamara also said that all the other housewives were accommodated for their pregnancies and that it was odd they weren’t doing the same for Kenya. Honestly, this is what we go through every season with RHOA. They never know what they’re doing. Hell, they had Tammy film an entire season as a housewife and even included her in the cast photo only to fire her before it aired. They also apparently have 3 newbies filming so we will see if that amounts to anything. Eta: I’m in the season five reunion and Aviva is just getting slaughtered! I can’t recall but is there any housewife that was so well liked and mid season became a villain like this? It’s such a turnaround! Usually it happens their second season not during their first. She literally went from everyone liking here, which is rare to bring the biggest nuisance and drama queen until she finally left.

Omg I forgot OC in my rankings lol. I feel like that is another consistent show. I don’t think they’ve had a bad season since Heather joined which is what I consider their modern era. Even last season I loved and I’m disappointed Lydia won’t be around now. ESPECIALLY after Tamra’s interview going on and on about how Doug is gay. It amazes me the hypocrisy of that woman.

Oh I loooooove Melbourne! I just meant that Dallas gets all this attention when it isn’t even as good as one of the international offerings. For me in recent years the best have been: 1. RHONY 2. Melbourne (never had a bad season) 3. Potomac Those three may not be perfect but you can always depend on them to deliver good seasons that aren’t too heavy and have a good variety. Beverly Hills and ATL are enjoyable but hit or miss and Dallas is simply okay for me. Cheshire I lost interest in ages ago.

For me, season 4 was the best season of RHOA and will never be topped. It was the perfect balance of comedy and drama and the cast trip was epic. I also find that the best reunion in Real Housewives history. The shade and the reads were epic! The best modern season IMO was the Kim Fields one. I know many disliked her but I loved the different vibe she brought. I need variety and she provided it. By the time the reunion came around she fit right in. With my season five RHONY rewatch I must say: Carole, Heather and Ramona deserve all the credit for carrying this season. Luann is useless until St. Barth’s, this is Sonja at her most pathetic and Aviva is the sleeper cell that surprisingly causing so much drama as time progresses. I remember when. I first saw the season trailer and I thought for sure she was an angel and Ramonja must’ve wronged her lol. On the subject of RHOD, I find that show so overrated lol. I’m sorry it just isn’t all that to me and this trailer doesn’t look much better. It’s watchable, but I even rank it below Melbourne.

Part 5 is out September 11. I’m impressed they’re continuing the releases.

Kristen and Cece haven’t done much but I like them enough I’d keep them next season. I’m just tired of the turnover on this show. I could see them doing better next season once they actually know the girls. I think they’ve done decent for newbies. Now onto the big secret OMG I loved it! Jen was so much fun last season obviously because she wanted to get back in. I was so happy to see her flip flopping ass called out! She has done nothing but stir up trouble this season.

Okay now I’m onto season five of RHONY and the opening episodes are just as awkward as I remembered. By the third episode it’s fine because you’re fully introduced to the new wives, but I wish that had happened the first week so you know what you’re dealing with. It felt very disjointed and this cast doesn’t have any chemistry thus far. In retrospect I do see why Jill had to go. She’s such a large personality and they wouldn’t have been able to move the stories forward with her because she would dominate the narrative. The one thing that doesn’t work AT ALL is Luann. She eventually gets it together, but it’s as if it’s season one Luann doing damage control and trying to create a picture that isn’t real. This is some of the worst acting I’ve ever seen. The feud with Ramona doesn’t work either because I remember how nasty she was last season so I feel no sympathy for her. You can definitely see she’s out of her element going from best friends with the HBIC to a lower tiered housewife that literally no one is close with. It makes me appreciate her come back in later seasons. Another big note: Heather was a godsend. Interesting family life, a business woman and she’s nice but scrappy. It’s a damn shame she isn’t there anymore. I’d love to see her join Jill next season and return. Tinsley can go to make room if they need it.

I’ve grown to like Porsha or at least deal with her over the years. With Marlo I feel she’d be better served as a HW where you can get a full picture of her life instead of just having her to stir up drama.

For those in the know...the episodes on YouTube I notice in the first 100 or so episodes posted, there’s a lot missing. That I don’t really care about, but I notice a gap between 520 and 600. Is there a way around that? I wanna do a rewatch but I’m trying to figure out that gap.

RHOA news ladies and gents: Filming is in full effect for season 11. Sheree is truly gone. Theyre on a cast trip to Miami featuring Nene, Porsha, Kandi, Cynthia, Eva and Marlo. No word on if Kenya is around but rumor has it both she and Sheree have been offered Friend Of spots. Personally I wouldn’t count Kenya out because every season they say she’s getting fired and it’s never happened. I’m hoping that this is the year my dreams come true and Marlo gets her peach. It bodes well she’s one of the main six on the first group trip. Eta: Im still watching RHONY season 4 and I’m a few episodes after Moracco. This is crazy what they’re doing to Alex. I feel like this had to be planned on camera. Kelly and Luann keep talking about icing her out. Jill had agreed to meet with Simon to patch things up like she did with Alex and Luann and Kelly demanded she not go and it’s started this new story where everybody is suddenly mad at Alex and she’s “going through things” and is “fighting” with them as she literally just sits there lol. This season is W I L D! I did not remember it being this juicy. This makes me anticipate the anti-Luann seasons coming because she did that to herself.

No wonder I missed it! I was so bored during that anti-bullying party! I’m going to check that out right now lol. Crazy that Dorinda has been around that long and finally became a wife. I’d always hoped Ramona’s friend Joni would become a wife. She was there the first four seasons then nothing.

@Gray Bunny wait, Dorinda appears in season 4?! I never knew that! Do you remember the event she was at? I wanna look for that.

I can’t wait to rewatch season five. I just got to Morocco in season four. What I remember really killing season five and based on rewatching four it holds true, is that it was too drastic a reboot. By modern HWs standards season four is what they want. Today it’s considered boring if you don’t have endless fighting. In addition I hated how for season five it started as if the new women were already there. That’s a huge mistake for any soap, character development is key! Now my biggest takeaway from season four is how blessed Luann is to have a job. Jill took most of the heat but Luann is the one who made the season as toxic as it was. She’s literally in her talking heads FUMING that Jill has made up with Alex and Ramona. Eventually she brought Jill down with her but I did see try to make an effort to change prior to Luann’s manipulations. Also it cannot be stated enough that they were insane to replace Bethenny, your young and vibrant Greek chorus cast member with bitter old Cindy. My god was that a miscast. Complaining because you thought someone stole your hangers?! What?! And because they needed numbers, Luann and Jill would go along with her even though it made no sense! Then the most fascinating and soapy thread was Ramona learning from the psychic that Mario was cheating on her and Sonja having a meltdown as if she knows that to be true. This and RHOC are the only ones that truly play like an epic long running soap. It’s amazing how even at season ten things feel real and these relationships are organic. You just don’t have that on the others.

I am so sorry to find out about Gregg! Tonight we say goodbye to Bobby on RHONY so this is the last day I wanted to hear news like this. Hopefully he makes it through this. One of the sweetest househusbands!

I loved how Y&R was written in terms of interaction. The fact that Michael didn’t meet Victor until 1998 made it a big event when they DID meet. Why would a billionaire be hanging out with a second rate lawyer running around trying to rape women? People interacted when they needed to. The bubbles made it feel more natural IMO and kept it from being too repetitive since there were different stories going on.

Before I get into last nights episode I’ll join y’all with season four talk lol. As I rewatch I don’t mond Cindy, but the timing is off. How do you replace Bethenny, your Greeks chorus and young aspirational cast member with this hard old lady that never smiles?! She’d be fine had she replaced Kelly for season 3 but as a Bethenny replacement the show is missing that wit and humor Bethenny brought. The Alex takedown is painful to watch though. I found her and Simon very enjoyable as time went on but the ladies pounced on her, even Sonja and it is hard to respond with so many people calling you crazy at once. They definitely were wrong to fire her. Now onto this this newest episode, it was great. The Luann fallout was so soapy and I loved all the reactions which felt like how a group of friends would truly react. Sonja in her townhouse gave me life. That woman is just on another planet and I’ve learned to accept it and enjoy it. Tinsley went above and beyond for her which I don’t think Sonja deserved. I feel like she was mean for no reason when it came to Tinsley living with her. I cant believe next week not only is Luann back, but it’s Bobby’s funeral. It’s crazy how even with her gone Jill has still impacted the show so much. I know the funeral was a Who’s Who of Real Housewives since she was friends with most of them, even those who joined after she left. This franchise just feels so real compared to the others. They have history on RHOA but the relationships are so phony. Here it truly does feel like they walk in the same circle and are friends. I’m going to be sad when this season ends!

Now I’m in season three of RHONY and this is peak housewives. This is their best season easily and when everybody came into their own. Luann stopped the Countess pretense and became the Countless we know today. Ramona became renewed and started owning her kookiness which made her more light hearted. Alex finally became friends with some of the women and Jill finally let go and allowed fame to consume herself. At Scary Island we know Kelly is nuts. It’s shameful Bravo brought her back for another season after two seasons clearly hooked on drugs. Kelly aside, my favorite moment this entire season was Jill surprising them on vacation. That is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen! That was the most awkward scene until Luann’s arrest! Alex of all people being the one to dismiss Jill was iconic! Jill looked like she wanted to FCUK Alex up after Bobby got that plane! I am dying watching this lmao! Why are none of the other housewives as iconic as New York?! I’m sorry but RHOA doesn’t rewatch nearly as well as this.
