I'm in total agreement with the above mentions. You can just "feel" that JER is back penning Passions full-time, if that makes any sense. When I watch the show now, it's often with a smile on my face - and I'm excited again. That's all I can say to explain my mood when watching the show now that JER is re-in-control.

Oh my gosh, ChrisL, are you kidding me? I watch the show with a smile on my face, TOO! How cool is that? Only, for me, I smile throughout the whole damn snow, like I did back in '99 and '00. I stopped doing that around 2002, some parts of 2003 and up until the later part of 2006. But now, I'm practically hurting from smiling. That, to me, says the show REALLY is back. :)

It's actually really hilarious. I see it at the gym almost every night, depending on the time I go. And the weirdest thing about it is it's like a sex-texting operation....it's bizarre.

As for Reese, I don't think he has a place on the show and I think JER agrees. Once he made Reese 'hot' the gimmick was over. (And remember, Reese was never a character of substance, he was ALWAYS a gimmick character who was enjoyable, but clearly, never meant for the long-term). I'm glad you think the show is on a roll and are enjoying the show for some of those reasons you state, but what about those people whose favorite characters or couples are in a story that they don't like or when someone's favorite characters have been shoved aside or are MIA or when characters they don't like are getting a ton of airtime. I'm not sure even a carnival could make some of those people enjoy the show all that much.

I personally have given up on Passions but some of my friends still watch and aren't enjoying much of what is on the show right now but they still watch in hopes that things will get better for the characters or couples they like.

BTW, I'm not saying all this to jump on you for your joy and enthusiasm about Passions but I just thought I would offer a different opinion about what some people may or may not think about Passions right now.
