Anyone watching?

My early faves....

Dilana - My Gawd, This woman is amazing! She is so intense and belts it out. First half she's like a marionette and the second half she's ripping up the stage. It's like she's channeling Janis Joplin and Kurt Cobain

Lukas - Excellent singer and performer, and he's a hottie goth guy. Yes, he's cocky, but with a voice like his I would be too.

Pretty good show tonight

The Best:

Dilana - This woman continues to amaze me, Her raspy voice and her stage presense is so intense, I hang on her every word hoping the song will never end! I could def listen to a whole CD by her. Her rendition of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire was so haunting. AMAZING

Lukas - Amazing vocals, commands the stage and really knows how to work the audience.

Toby - Excellent vocals, great stage presence and is a total HOTTIE!

Storm - Great vocals, haven't seen her really break out yet, but she will go far in the competition

The Good:

Patrice - Good voice, great personality SAFE

Chris - He did a lot better than last week, I hate to see the band being so hard on him, because he's good.

Ryan - Much better this week, but he chose a safe song

Dana - She's like a little pussycat tryng to be tough, but I like her she's cute

Magni - He did pretty good, But I want to see him sing something slow.

The Bad:

Jill - The band ripped her a new [!@#$%^&*] for trying to look and sound like Courtney Love, and rightfully so. Had she been herself and sang the song she would have been good, but honey...There's only ONE Ms. Love!

Jenny - A mess from the jump. She should be singing POP music and not rock.

Phil - He is okay, but something about him makes me uncomfortable

Zayra - Horrible! I really hope she leaves. She wants to front a rock band and then insults them by saying she was in daipers when their music was popular.

The wrong one went home IMHO. Zayra, Josh or Jill should've been axed. I cannot believe that Josh nor Jill made the Bottom 3. Why does anyone think these 2 can sing?!?!

The best of course were Dilana (loved her "Ring of Fire"), Toby (his "Somebody Told Me" was almost as good as the Killers'), & Storm.

Jill was a copycat !@#$%^&*] on Tuesday's show and I was glad she got into the Bottom 3 because of it. But she really did good on Evanesence's "Bring Me To Life", and I'm a big Evanesence fan.

Ok that Zaydi chick should have been the one to go...I don't understand.

Tommy Lee needs to toughen up...c'mon dude.

I love love love that Austrailian guy - hot and good singer...he's the one with the encore the other night - can't remember his name.

I am watching this show but I think that the first season was way better. There were about 6 singers that I thought were really good last year. Marty Casey was my favourite. I still listen to his cd every few days.

As for this year....there are alot of singers in this group that I think don't fit this band. Jenny and Zayra are completely out of place. They were right to let Jenny go this week. I can't believe that Zayra chick is still around. The only singers I can imagine fronting this band are Lukas or Dilana. They both would fit with the band and they can sing well. They are both intense and different so I am hoping for either of them. I don't mind Toby, Magni, Patrice or Storm but I don't see them fronting the band. I love the house band on this show. They probably sound better than Supernova do when they play together. Next year they should find a lead singer for the house band!

    • I have not gone back to watch much of 1987, but from what I've seen lately, it doesn't feel like the writers or producers had any sort of plan. The show feels as if it's constantly in flux.  I will give it credit for this. It's watchable for the most part minus Lisa/Jamie which I find nearly unwatchable now.   I don't find Cheryl mousy. I think she has a lot of quiet strength, but she was saddled with the Scott romance which the writers did not invest in. She had a good friendship with Julie (also criminally underused), and her interactions with Ada were enjoyable as well. I also like Layman, but Spencer was extremely talented and when Cass returns, Schnetzer and Spencer have some wonderful scenes. Spencer also fits in with Alexander, Hogan, and Marie.  I'd forgotten just how much I missed seeing Wallingford. IT was so good to see him again. Even when they didn't have a major plot, Felicia/Cass/Wallingford/Mitch always brings a smile to my face.
    •   Dani’s cute ass party planner. He gave me some tea but I was so drunk I don’t remember it.
    • NBC must have been grateful to have LHOTP, it's only hit and still strong after several seasons. Their next established show was Rockford Files at 45th. They didn't develop any comedies and relied on movies and mini series  which didnt establish viewer loyalty and habits. Their only new hit was mid season's Project UFO which debuted Feb up against Rhoda/On Our Own on CBS and How the West Was Won on ABC. It opened with a strong 36 share beating CBS and close to ABC as HTWWW had a 36 share over 3 hours. The next week UFO saw a respectable 32 share, then a 31 so it was slipping. A 28 share followed but a few weeks later it jumped back up to a 34. So no blockbuster but compared to what else they had, there was potential, So next season NBC sent it to Thursday up against Mork and The Waltons and it bombed.  They were smart to see potential in Chips, which took off on Saturdaysnext season. ABC was on a roll with Love Boat, 3's Company, Taxi, Eight is Enough adding to their hits. Their only real flops were Redd Foxx and San Pedro Beach Bums, an Aaron Spelling misfire. Like Redd Foxx, Harvey Korman was lured to ABC but his series was a filler that did well but was considered a time slot hit. Nancy Walker and Rob Reiner were also given series on the philosophy that not only were they popular names, their absence from popular shows like Sanford, Rhoda and All in the Family might weaken those shows. CBS were relying on old favorites. Betty White was strong the first few weeks then faded. Incredible Hulk was their strongest newbie. It was lucky for CBS that NBC was doing so badly or else some of their weaker shows would have really suffered.
    • That outfit looks like something Martin would wear lol.
    • Omg not we both ran into people from the show this weekend!
    • I guess he was let out the gates, because he's outside.
    • Yup.  You can hate John all you want, but like seriously he was the cornerstone of the show for years.  So he should get a long ass funeral and burial and all the things because Drake and John deserve that.
