DAYS: A different twist on the IVF storyline?

A friend of mine came up with a new theory. What if they have fooled us all and the dishes contained the sperm samples and not the eggs. I've had some history with infertility and to the best of my knowledge the eggs would have been kept under refrigeration until the moment of fertilization. Also, some clinics use one name (the woman's) for every label (eggs, sperm, etc) to avoid mixups. Maybe those dishes were the "just donated" sperm and had been labeled with the ladies' names to make sure they were put with the right egg when the eggs are removed from refrigeration.

If that is the case......... then there will be no need for a second switch for Belle to end up with a Belle/Shawn baby and for a Phil/Mimi baby to be implanted in Mimi/surrogate.

Just another theory for everyone to toss around!

I just want that story to go away. If I was the temp HW coming in and was able to change the direction of this story, I would just have the procedure not take in either woman and drop it all together.
