It seems like the show has some investment in Lucas, but Brad fell off a cliff into obscurity (which I am sure most don't mind lol). It's more sanitization of GH to please the older audience.

I don't think Marco set the world on fire or was insanely popular. I do think there was more to develop there for the character and for him and Lucas. The show will keep inane characters for years and years but dump decent ones just like that.

Listen, Bennett/Joe could surprise me down the line. I don't have high hopes so far. It's all very bland and predictable at this point.

They have invested more in Lucas. It's insane to see Sonny, Jason, etc. sitting around talking about what Lucas is up to or taking their planning cues from him lol. I don't mind it, but it is such a change.

That being said I did like Marco and Joe is singularly uninspiring so far. He's still a step up from Brad.

Lol! My true embarrassing confession is that I actually liked Brad when he first appeared. I know. He was okay as a very side character. I preferred him to Felix, who has always annoyed me for some unknown reason. It became obvious Brad was awful and Perry Shen was way out of his league being in the acting business. I do think if the show cared about Asian characters they could have recast Brad and tweaked the character to make him work. It's obviously a lost cause now, but his families ties are fairly interesting.

I liked Brad at first, too, and I thought he had chemistry with Ryan Carnes.

I don't know what happened, but I went from liking him to wanting him off my screen. I don't know if it was the writing, the actor's tics, or both.

I liked Marco, but GH wrecked that.

The writing for Joe has been a nothingburger so far, and that's the problem. Jonathan Bennett is a solid actor and I think he's doing what he can with a thankless role.

Carnes and Shen had chemistry. I believe that's why the show shifted away from Lucas/Felix.

I agree about Brad though. I don't know when it went wrong but one day I was like I hate you lol.

Joe may be a thankless role and JB is okay I suppose. To me this role can only be boring for so long until I completely lose interest and call it a loss. Again, there could be a twist soon enough that would make him exciting.
