LW from what I can tell has always been a team player. So anyone saying otherwise will make me serious side-eye. And she's not at all my favorite Carly. The only time for me recently where she has even felt like her was when she sashayed into that mob meeting in that white power suit and took over Sonny's mob during the Nixon Falls story. It was great. It was awesome. And as I said then...THAT...WAS...CARLY. Which made me just think...why have they not used this side of her since LW can and does do everything? It was soooooooo awesome for that brief period. She moved like SJB and TB always moved when they were in charge so I was just in awe. Jason who?

A close second would be the start of her alliance with Val which I don't like, but once she realized what Brennan did with Joss, Carly was back and moving.

I do remember that. So I'm glad that Wes...as much as I loved him on CHARMED and LATTER DAYS...is gone.

Same. And I was not around for most of her run, but she still stood out when I was just soooo used to SJB. So her as Kim...just meh.

I don't have a need for SJB to be back but also wouldn't care much. That's not a slight on either actress though. I would just go with the flow. It wouldn't be a "we are hiring Michael Easton for his 15th role" sort of catastrophe for me lol.

I do think LW has gotten better and lost some of the screechy histrionics she was prone to in the early Carly years. It is unfortunate that Laura can generate chemistry unless it's with Sonny or Jason which is probably an issue.

I at least think both of the previous Carlys could potentially get a new character over more than Michael Easton could. I say as someone who likes Michael Easton.

So much so that she has not only done it with two Brennans...and yes, I'm shocked to type that given how much I love my 'Beast' and someone who I mostly keep on MUTE read: Val.

I would argue both Tamara and SJB deserve a 3rd character more than Easton ever deserved a 2nd one so I am okay with that. lol

No need to argue that. We are in full agreement. Cuz Easton's second character is Number 3 on his list of characters with me. I've always more or less liked John from OLTL and I had times when I actually liked Finn...especially his exit storyline.

I think Easton has some appeal, but I got lost after the first character and I couldn't even tell you the names of the characters he played at this point. I sadly remember his demon spawn better than him.

At this point, Ava should marry Sidwell, who's days are numbered hopefully. This puts Ava back in Wyndemere + she'll own Sonny's piers. Oh, and Ethan or Cass can be her secret partner/boy toy.

I love CW, but this wacky, hysterical Nina absolutely fell flat. I hope she plays the fallout better than recent episodes.

Looking forward to Molly being sent to Shadybrook when Cody slips and she finds out that her mother and sister are hypocritical, psychotic felons. Rick is excluded because obviously she knows who he is.

That is definitely what I'd do in addition to eventually getting her back with Ric for a stretch as he takes the mayor's office from Laura for a stretch. Though I don't have much use for Paevey in any incarnation, a scheming young Faison as her sleazy boytoy could be fun.

We spitball a lot about the Carlys but I think the reality is that LW leaving now after 20+ years would be a seismic shock for a lot of the audience. Sarah and Tamara still have a lot of fans and classic clips of both still do real numbers on social media, but in terms of reaction I wonder if it would be up there with when Y&R admirably tried to bring back David Tom as Billy Abbott after Billy Miller's exit. The difference is that DT, while a great guy, never really had a fair chance at playing the older Billy and it was very awkwardly handled onscreen which made it worse. I would argue that both Carlys are far more popular and iconic than DT was so they'd have a better shot at adjustment, but especially if it was SJB you'd see some fan controversy. She is a very raw presence. I'd still do it with either her or Tamara if I could, but it would be a wild ride online lol. (Whereas with the Two Todds at OLTL, the fanbases had become so stratified and TSJ's Todd had become so irredeemable in story and with him openly trolling the scripts that I don't think there was that much backlash other than from Todd/Téa diehards.)
