“The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” tied for No. 1 among soaps in Women 18-49, each with a 0.28 rating, during the week of March 2-6, 2026. In fact, season-to-date, the two CBS dramas are now tied for No. 1 among soaps in Women 18-49, each with a 0.22 rating.

For the week, “The Young and the Restless” tied its season high in Women 18-49 (0.28 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.49 rating), while also tying “The Bold and the Beautiful” to rank No. 1 among soaps in the former category. Compared to its performance one week earlier, the long-running hour-long drama series was up +0.04 among Women 18-49 (0.28 rating vs. 0.24 rating) and up +0.08 among Women 25-54 (0.49 rating vs. 0.41 rating), marking the largest week-to-week demo gains across daytime broadcast. In Total Viewers, the soap opera was up +224,000 compared to the same week last year (3.257 million vs. 3.033 million) and was virtually on par with its year-ago performance among Women 18-49 (0.28 rating vs. 0.29 rating) and flat among Women 25-54 (0.49 rating). In Households, the series was flat week-to-week and up +0.2 year-over-year (2.2 rating vs. 2.0 rating). Further, compared to the same week in 2024, the drama was virtually on par among Women 18-49 (0.28 rating vs. 0.29 rating), up +0.04 among Women 25-54, up +0.1 in Households (2.2 rating vs. 2.1 rating) and up +221,000 viewers (3.257 million vs. 3.036 million).

“The Bold and the Beautiful” was up +0.01 week-to-week and year-over-year among Women 18-49 (0.28 rating vs. 0.27 rating), tying “The Young and the Restless” to rank No. 1 among soaps in the key sales demographic. Meanwhile, among Women 25-54, the half-hour soap opera was up +0.02 week-to-week (0.40 rating vs. 0.38 rating). The series gained +258,0000 viewers compared to the same week last year and was up +296,000 over the comparable week in 2024. Further, demographically, the show was up over its performance during the comparable week in 2024 among Women 18-49 (0.28 rating vs. 0.25 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.40 rating vs. 0.38 rating).

“Beyond the Gates” was down 0.01 among Women 18-49 (0.18 rating vs. 0.19 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.29 rating vs. 0.30 rating), though continued to outperform time slot competitor “General Hospital” in Women 18-49 (0.18 rating vs. 0.17 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.29 rating vs. 0.21 rating), marking the third consecutive week the soap opera has done since in both categories (including ties).

“General Hospital” saw the smallest week-to-week drop among Total Viewers, down just 3,000 from the previous week, yet it still posted the largest year-over-year gain across daytime broadcast, up +293,000, with 2.175 million tuning in. Demographically, the series tied its lead-in “GMA3” among Women 18-49 (0.17 rating), with the news program topping its soap opera lead-out in Women 25-54 (0.23 rating vs. 0.21 rating), marking the first time it has ever happened in that category, excluding ABC’s October 2025 broadcast of the Major League Baseball Wild Card Series games, which saw multipe repeat episodes included into the long-running drama’s weekly average.

“GMA3” was the only daytime broadcast program to see week-to-week gains in every category, including Total Viewers (+99,000 – 1.551 million vs. 1.452 million), Households (+0.1 – 1.0 rating vs. 0.9 rating), Women 18-49 (+0.04 – 0.17 rating vs. 0.13 rating) and Women 25-54 (+0.05 – 0.23 rating vs. 0.18 rating). Meanwhile, compared to the year-ago performance of its predecessor “TODAY with Jenna & Friends,” “TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle” was the only daytime broadcast program up year-over-year across all categories, including Total Viewers (+195,000 – 1.445 million vs. 1.250 million), Households (+0.1 – 0.9 rating vs. 0.8 rating), Women 18-49 (+0.03 – 0.21 rating vs. 0.18 rating) and Women 25-54 (+0.02 – 0.32 rating vs. 0.30 rating).
