Honestly, Sonny has lacked focus since PM's meds/Ava story fell apart due to Mo's wishes. Carly has been adrift since the Jason pairing backfired.

It doesn't necessarily bother me since they both still appear often. It just feels like a waste of airtime.

I assume Carly will end up with Valentin and the Brennan/Joss stuff will blow up, but Sonny has no purpose. No love interest, no story, very supporting, which is okay for most of the audience. As a Sonny fan the idea of him being paired with the C character DA is not ideal. I would legitimately rather MB took time off and the show said Sonny was off in Rome visiting a certain brunette for 6 months.

But...wow. Two years. You are not wrong. I guess that really was Sonny's last big story, isn't it? Jason has been the one of the three that has truly had a renaissance and I have loved just about every minute of it outside of Britt...and I say that as a fan. Carly and Brennan could have been something IMHO...and yes, I know I am in the minority. But the pairing really died when the ALIAS storyline started. And even that...Carly can still be used in so many places more than Sonny.

Which is why I don't mind your six month off suggestion with a certain brunette. ;)

Sorry, I was just assuming this Val/Carly stuff has a point. Carly can fit in multiple places while Sonny is more on an island. I am not against Sonny in a more supporting capacity, but he appears so much with little point these days. How many bestie chats can he have with Laura lol?

I think the show could have Sonny take a long break and GH would be fine. Take a few months to decide what you want to do with the character instead of having him randomly appear to fill his guarantees and sticking him with dayplayer DA just because.

I don't mind that Sonny has kind of become 2026 Dan Rooney. Is this the longest he has gone without being in an official relationship? He has had so few scenes with Nu Michael that I forget they are supposed to be father and son.

I realized today with Ric barely even featured now the only story I care about is Willow/Michael/Drew and when the episodes don’t have a heavy on that I don’t tend to care as much like today.

I seriously can’t wait for Chase’s stupid ass to find out Willow played in his face. But I hope his marriage crumbles first.

I'm so glad that they finally got to make love for the first time. And that he was there to comfort her about Anna. This is how it's supposed to be when you have a couple that you want fans to ship and to root for. And Gemma is the best couple that GH has had since Sprina. It was perfect for the two of them. Nothing felt forced, no one was hurt or had their heart broken in the process, and there was no awful character being propped. Gio looked so hot too, and the fact that he's such a good BF and just such a good guy, in general, makes him even hotter 😍😍🥰🥰

Speaking of awful characters being propped, I was totally on Britt's side today. Those scenes were so biased in favor of Carly and Joss. But I'm glad that Britt and Jason eventually got to have their date without any interruptions. I don't think she and Jason have really set the world on fire though. They're no Gemma lol but I like them together. GH just needs to remember to write their scenes like they did in the New Years Eve episode. That works. Writing Britt like a nasty, campy clown does not.

I also enjoyed Chase/Brook Lynn today. The anvils were dropping pretty hard today about Chase and the way he's been handling Willow's case lol and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens.

As for this new WSB guy, I still don't know about GH suddenly turning the WSB into this big evil organization when it's been the exact opposite for 45 years now.

And while I agree that the momentum has dropped a little since last week and the beginning of this week, I still think GH is firing on all cylinders. I know we're only a few weeks into 2026 but GH, hands down, has been the best soap this year, so far anyway.

That was a nicely done scene. Compared to some past years it was tame, but for today's climate I thought it managed to be tasteful yet also sexy, with genuine chemistry between the actors carrying the moment.

If they intentionally staged it as more romantic and passionate than other sex scenes, I think it worked pretty well. And it worked for Gio and Emma as a couple too.

True. Tame isn't a bad thing in some cases - the emotions were there, a sense of love and connection. I prefer it to Joss and her romps.
