DAYS: August 2025 Discussion Thread 

The potential couples were on full display today. But most of them seemed a little kooky. I didn’t necessarily hate it but… I just don’t know. Maybe it wasn’t the right choice lol 

Getting stuck in an elevator is a classic soap trope but Chad and Cat still don’t do much for me, as a couple. Maybe another couple should’ve gotten stuck in there, not Chad and Cat. Again, Ron is gone now. They could have brought Abigail back and given her, Chad and the kids a happily ever after. Chad did bring up a lot of interesting points about EJ and Stefano though.

And Sarah taking the stairs at the hospital to “prove a point” was a little stupid lol but I did like her and Brady bonding about their kids and the situations that they’re each in with their kid’s other parent. I’m actually looking forward to whatever might happen between them. 

I also enjoyed Marlena’s scenes with Rachel. And it proved even more, to me, how ridiculous and unnecessary it was to have made Rachel a demon spawn, even though she is Kristen’s daughter. This is a welcome change. And I’m glad that we got word that Sami’s coming back. Btw, maybe I missed it at some point, but where’s John’s urn?

As for what Rita said about Stefano’s death, I guess this means that Hope is officially off the hook lol but yeah, all of this is still not necessary.

Nothing really big happened. Gwen was talking mostly about their past relationship and how Sarah tried to change him into something that he’s not, and he wasn’t too interested. But he did see Brady and Sarah hugging at the end though

Thanks. I am not into Gwen trying to get him to backslide. The difference is Victoria now. He will not do anything to risk access to her.

The Brady insertion is just annoying. Xander and Sarah clearly need marriage counseling as they are still crazy about each other. Gwen seems exactly Brady's type anyway. I'd rather see that than a second attempt to force Brady and Sarah that bombed 5 years ago.

I’m actually on the other side.

I would prefer (temporary) Brady/Sarah, than Xander/Gwen 2.0, and especially not Brady/Gwen 😂

Gwen still doesn’t have much a purpose for me at this point.

I loathe Gwen and do not understand why she is back. We are definitely getting some form of Brady and Sarah but it's obvious Xarah are still the story so it's another pointless fling for Brady. I do not get why they don't give him an endgame pairing of his own.

I’m torn about who his endgame should be; either Chloe or Theresa. 

Which is why I think they should’ve brought Theresa back instead of Gwen. There’s more story for her anyway.

Exactly. Tate needs her. Brady lost his sobriety for love of her a year ago. She chose money over her love for him. It's a goldmine of story. But Em likes playing Gwen who the audience for the most part hates

I would definitely recast. I just don’t know with who 😂

EOB as Theresa was probably just meant to be a big joke. 

I think the problem with Brady is the show spent WAY too much time trying to make him/Kristen some sort of endgame.  The show has given Brady so many love interests as well that you end up with Brady being 50, single, and living with his mom, sister, and his kids lol.

John, Bo, Steve, etc were all well established with their endgame pairings by 50.

I'd prefer him with Chloe, but I'd take Theresa.

Agreed.

I actually liked them, and the storyline in the beginning but by this point the ship has sailed. In some ways, Kristen needs a fresh start even more than Brady does.

I liked them too when Eileen came back as Kristen.  I never thought they were endgame though.

Kristen definitely needs a fresh start preferably not in Salem lol.   She just looks pathetic running after Brady at this point.

The new writers don’t seem to have much of an interest in Kristen, so I can see them writing her out once all this stuff with Rachel gets resolved.

I'd say Brady's endgame should be Chloe. Though admittedly, Chloe and Kyle Lowder's Brady is my preferred choice.

I hate how it seems like Brady is the eldest of the John/Marlena/Roman kids.
