Two posts from one of the soap's producers detailing the relocation of the soap (first post) and the first week of filming at Sunset Las Palmas (second post).

I found this tour the most useful because you can see how they're able to have so many more permanent sets and to have the design room, reception, Eric's office, and showroom all connect to each other continuously, shows the physical depth of the studio space.

I agree. Entertainment Tonight totally got hooked up.

Gotta love that corporate synergy - I'll hand it to CBS that they rarely miss an opportunity to cross promote with ET.

The permanent sets and the permanent lighting will make production so much easier and more cost effective, hopefully freeing up budget for the occasional set that has to be put up and taken down as storyline dictates.

I agree; while I do not watch Bold anymore, I will be tuning in to at least see set changes. I am hopeful, if Stage 6 is to be used (as well), that they could leave some space in that soundstage to possibly be the 'interchanging' sets they could need. Like, a possible hotel suite or a hospital room or two.

It always blows me away how thin the actors are in reality when they look a bit more 'normal' on the show. That damn camera really does add 10 lbs.
