I was hoping location shoots would be a regular feature,as we saw in the first two weeks. (filmed right outside the studio I believe)

I’m sure they said something about not being able to film outside the studio due to noise from airplanes disrupting it. A shame because Assembly Studios has 3 full outdoor backlots of different city streets that I’m sure BTG could have utilised to look like downtown DC etc. Maybe they will once the crew is more experienced in shooting at the pace required for a soap opera. It looks like from next week’s preview there have been some changes to lighting/direction as well as some changes to cast appearances (new hairstyle for Naomi, Nicole etc), Ted recast etc suggest maybe there was a break in production and some changes were made?

This could also explain - if I’m really overthinking it - the last few weeks being where Cady McClain, Jon Lindstrom and even the actor who played Culhane in Dynasty, shot some scenes that were inserted into earlier episodes which I’m sure Karla Mosley said happened shortly before the premiere (not specifically with those actors, but that there were some reshoots inserted into earlier episodes)

I think it comes from it being "winter" in the D.C. area, etc. But I never doubted they'd use Assembly more as warmer weather came in.
