There was an additional item for Friday April 25.

[This is in soaps.sheknows extended verbiage]
"Brooke and Taylor’s unknown and undetectable presence causes undue stress and brings even more heat to the already electric catwalk."

(possibly a reference to the scene in the promo video where Taylor shuts the door backstage where she and Brooke are?)

I don't know if you're aware of this, but alcoholism runs in the Bauer family. Bill Bauer, Hope's grandfather, and Ed, her uncle, were both alcoholics.
The fact that they established this through 3 generations would have made an addiction story entirely plausible (AND it would have been a reason to reintroduce Hope).
In fact, I believe when AM first came back as a teen, he got into some trouble with drugs and they were worried about him, but I think he was selling, not taking the drugs. Again, that would have been a good moment to bring Hope back into the story.
Lots of missed opportunities.

Now why are they starting this episode with Jason and Liz? Ohhhh, my heart!!! And so unexpected. The definition of a tease. And Heaven forbid they use her as a spoiler for Britt. Again.

SHUT UP, SONNY!!!! How dare he want to get in Alexis's face for her reasons for being Willow's lawyer. As if he's not used to being blackmailed. I was so irked by him feeling a way.

And DOUBLE STFU to Brad, too. He doesn't get to speak for Britt. Though that Jason/Britt relationship does need a spoiler of some kind. Her working for Sidwell (or the fact Carly knows she's working with Brennan as a double agent) can do the job without Brad's irrelevance. Speaking of Britt working...I did like they referenced the fact she was on the run with Faison which makes her being in charge of the project more plausible.

So this is the new WSB man I take it. Like I said in the GH Spoiler thread....Brennan's days are officially numbered. And see? Carly in Brennan's apartment IS a Carly maneuver. I liked.

I am really liking Ava's blouse.

It's always nice to see Jason smile.

I can see why people mentioned the momentum seems to be slipping.

I’m in July 1992 when A-M is drinking himself into oblivion after he learns Nick is Alexandra’s son, and watching a lot of early 90s eps in close succession, I feel like they were setting the table for an A-M addiction story at some point. I can’t remember what triggered it, but in a different episode A-M swigs a drink in anger and Ed says something about that not helping. They have him pretty regularly cope with his emotions with booze and get really drunk several times. I could see the thought of planning Hope to come back for that then it getting scratched.
I could see that last go round with Eleni while the terrible Jenna lotion story was happening being there instead since he’s spiraling at this point. Then them mentioning Hope in rehab not long after when he’s looking for Alan-an addiction story seems so much more interesting than the roaming the beach/unconscious at Tangie’s place arc. It’s funny because if they wanted Tangie in his arc she was a bar tender so it would’ve been easy.
Watching the Eleni/Frank/A-M triangle for the first time, it's sort of wild that not only did they need to import someone for Frank D., they dragged on a triangle with an obvious conclusion that's just a slow walk of doom for A-M from the get-go (largely of his own making to be sure) because the only way to make Frank interesting even with Melina K was to put him a triangle that won't end. They had no idea what to do with Frank/Eleni with A-M not in the picture. They sort of have them as Ed and Maureen Lite, but then the Buzz of it all keeps that from really working for Frank (though Eleni is a random confidante for all kinds of people post recast since she has no internal life outside of catering post-recast).
They also had Lucy doing absolutely nothing for months other than going on blind dates-Lucy being involved in helping him as a friend (maybe with Blake who would know the family history?) then Ed brings in Hope who learned a lot in that Swiss rehab. (I do think Hope as an alcoholic would give a bit of a natural excuse to make her seem older and explain how she seems closer in age to Alan.)

That was a pretty good episode. I thought maybe we’d seen it before because the “19-thrifty-3” ad is definitely familiar, but I guess it was used on numerous episodes.
This one’s a great example of how 15-minute soaps feel like “dropping in” on the characters going about their lives. No plot movement whatsoever, but it still feels like you’re “seeing” a lot. I get more and more interested in these 50s baddies like Laura Grant because the portrayal of such characters had to be done so delicately in that era.
