I thought it was past time Julia Barr(AMC/RH) finally had her thread. In my opinion, Julia Barr is one of the Daytime greatest leading ladies.

She's a brilliant actress. She can play any storyline that was given to her.

As tremendous as she is, I truly believe Julia Barr is a little underappreciated, mainly in the All My Children universe. And before anyone, she is not, pay attention to every time AMC gets tribute or has a reunion. She's mostly forgotten about, and it's upsetting because Julia Barr gave it her all, even when her character was being trashed.

So, please come in and discuss and give this icon her flowers.

Julia was a wonderful actress. Extremely intelligent and always underplaying what she was given, in comedy or drama. I think she was much better than most of what Brooke became by the mid '90s. I remember the character being a laughingstock to a number of fans by that point, through no fault of Julia's.

I'm glad the last year of AMC 1.0 as well as 2.0 allowed her to go out on better terms.

I always loved Julia and the Brooke character!  I randomly stumbled across this YT video her husband posted of their trip last year in 2024.  It's a collection of photos, but if you zoom through it, you'll see recent pictures of her.

Yes, I agree with you @DRW50 . The AMC reboot did wonderfully give Brooke/Julia Barr place right in the center of things, and engaging storyline before it ended. the way she always should have been written.

@alwaysAMC Thank you so much for this update on my unsung hero.

Reliving the magic of this scene and storyline. Brooke could do no wrong, IMO. Such an awesome storyline for Julia Barr to sink her teeth into.

Oh my gosh, what a great memory this is. My mom and I were so sad when this happened, not believing that Maria really died and would no longer be on our screens. So shocked.  I didn't remember Jim being there with Brooke as Maria and the plane go over the cliff.

Julia Barr is a gem!

When I tell you year '92 was a good one. I loved this Wildwind Saga, and these two awesome couples were born from it. Such a shame TPTB didn't dive deep into Brooke and Edmund as a full-fledged couple. I still think it was a major miss not to move Erica and Brooke into the same mansion.
