FOX News Channel continues to top the ratings charts, delivering its highest-rated January in cable news history and marking its 23rd consecutive year as the number one network in cable news, averaging 1.916 million viewers in total day viewership and 2.781 million viewers in primetime.

In daytime, the network topped ABC’s “The View” head-to-head for the first time ever with “The Faulkner Focus,” anchored by Harris Faulkner. The daytime news show averaged 2.552 million viewers in January, +44,000 viewers ahead of “The View” and its 2.508 million viewers.

The win for Faulkner is noteworthy as her series airs on cable and requires a subscription, while “The View” airs on broadcast television, which is available to anyone without requiring a subscription.

“The Faulkner Focus” averaged 310,000 viewers among Adults 25-54, the key demo used to sell ads for news programming.

“The Faulkner Focus” debuted in 2021 and has become a staple on the FOX News daytime lineup, which also includes “America’s Newsroom,” “Outnumbered” and “America Reports.”

In January, the daytime shows each attracted their highest-rated month ever among Total Viewers, starting with the Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino-anchored “America’s Newsroom,” averaging 2.4 million viewers and 288,000 among Adults 25-54 at 9:00 a.m. ET, followed by “The Faulkner Focus” with 2.6 million viewers and 310,000 among Adults 25-54 at 11:00 a.m. ET, “Outnumbered” with 2.5 million viewers and 277,000 among Adults 25-54 at noon ET, and finally the John Roberts and Sandra Smith-anchored “America Reports” with 2.5 million viewers and 272,000 among Adults 25-54.

At 3:00 p.m. ET, the Martha MacCallum-anchored “The Story” averaging 2.3 million viewers and 263,000 among Adults  25-54, while at 4:00 p.m. ET, “Your World” anchored by Neil Cavuto concluded its 28 season run, airing its final episode on Friday, January 17. It was replaced by “The Will Cain Show” beginning Tuesday, January 21. Together, the shows averaged 2.3 million viewers and 263,000 among Adults 25-54.

Overall, FOX News led among Total Viewers with “The Five” (4.765 million), “Jesse Waters Primetime (4.122 million), “Hannity” (3.769 million), “Special Report” (3.489 million) and “The Ingraham Angle” (3.462 million) topping the charts as the five most watched shows in cable news.

Among Adults 25-54, the order changed a bit with “The Five” (531,000) remaining a solid number one. “Jesse Waters Primetime” (527,000) was right behind, followed by “Hannity” (506,000), “The Ingraham Angle” (452,000) and “Gutfeld” (446,000).
