Webmaster Errol Posted Saturday at 05:24 PM Webmaster Share Posted Saturday at 05:24 PM In a message posted across its social media channels, “Days of our Lives” has issued a dispatch from Lady Whistleblower, calling out an imposter that had been impersonating the show’s official TikTok account while warning that ripping its content is trademark infringement. “It has come to our attention that a most scandalous imposter dared to masquerade as the esteemed @PeacockDays on TikTok,” opened the message designed as a letter. “This person, with the audacity of a rogue in the night, not only stole the identity of ‘Days of our Lives,’ but shamelessly snatched every treasured piece of content crafted for their beloved fans. A travesty, indeed!” “Thanks to the sharp eye of a most loyal and clever fan (a true hero of the digital age), this deception was exposed, and the nefarious account was banished within the hour,” continued the message, adding, “Beware of imposters! Accept no substitutes! The one and only ‘Days of our Lives’ TikTok resides at @PeacockDays.Follow with fun & kindness.” The letter seemingly included a stern warning to fans allegedly lifting content from the show, regardless of intent, and marked the first time it has formally addressed recent takedowns of accounts that were reported for copyright and trademark infringement to several social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, among others, by distributor Sony Pictures Television. “Ripping ‘Days of our Lives’ content is trademark infringement,” the letter pointed out,” noting “The sands int he hourglass wait for no fraud.” The letter was signed by Lady Whistleblower, referencing the fictional character involved in current storylines who is sharing all the “Body & Soul” secrets with Salemites, and is a parody version of Lady Whistledown from the Netflix series “Bridgerton.” You can read the full Lady Whistleblower letter below. Members dragonflies
Funny how they talk about impersonation/ripping off while they're literally copying Lady Whistledown from Bridgerton......
Members ReddFoxx
Of course it makes sense to protect the copyright, but in a way they should be glad that anyone even wants to impersonate the show. It's surprising anyone wanted to do that in the first place. They could have just had the clips taken down and not released this corny letter.
